Israel Update:
A clarification as to why I am writing the updates:
As an Israeli patriot and because Trump was good to Israel and I like him and support him,
I somehow find myself participating in this community years before the war.
At some point (between his terms in office) I lost interest and wasn’t here at all and when the war started I wanted to share my experiences and knowledge of what was really going on from the Israeli point of view and as close to the truth as I can. It was both my little contribution to my friends here and to making my nation more understood. I then find that there is appreciation and interest so I kept going.
The reason that I am saying this now is that some in MAGA may see a conflict between American Interests and Israeli interests. The subject matters can be debated.
“America First” could have many interpretations depending on who is the observer.
In some cases the US may do things that are not good for Israel which I don’t like.
I don’t necessarily see your point of view, the American point of view. So if there is a disagreement I am going to say the Israeli point of view, respectfully, which may not flatter the reader here. But I am not here to argue. I am here to report and I am reporting from an Israeli point of view, what we see and what we think. So please bear with me, I am not your typical participant here. If I thought that I don’t belong here I would have stopped, but I see that most are appreciative so I am still here. I think that patriots of various nations can participate here and they do. When you see this update you will understand my introduction.
–Houthis: After the Houthis from Yemen managed to hit the main International Airport by Tel Aviv and injure a couple of people (not seriously), the IDF sent some 20 planes over and destroyed the main port in the Houthi area from which they receive weapon shipments from Iran. Additionally a major concrete plant was destroyed which they use to build tunnels and other military infrastructure.
The next day the Houthis announced that “They are putting the Israeli Airport under siege until Israel stops in Gaza”. That their missiles will come shortly again. And this is in the background of some 27 missies and drones which they fired at us in the past two months not to mention the hundreds since 10/7 (26 of the 27 were all intercepted or not make it, aside for the one at the Airport, but millions of Israelis had to run to shelters to the sounds of sirens, usually early mornings). Realize that Israel is small and millions running to shelters is a very high % of the population.
So yesterday Israel took over the Yemenite TV and broadcasted warnings to evacuate the International Airport in their Capital. Shortly after over 20 airplanes F15s and F35 attacked the International Airport and destroyed it. Images show massive explosions and fires. Also planes, terminals and runways were destroyed. Additionally a major concrete plant was destroyed and a power plant too. A lot of the Capital of Yemen lost power. The concrete plant is used for tunnels and Houthi bases.
The Houthis now threaten to attack ammonia storages in Haifa and other targets.
Officials in Israel are saying that this is “just the beginning”.
The “stars are aligning against Yemen” because : 1. The major maneuver on Gaza is now delayed for after the visit of Trump to the Middle East, starting in the 13th. Israel likes to operate linear, ie. one place after the other rather than all together. 2. It gives time for the reservists who were called in to prepare and arm etc… 3. The attacks in Yemen are good practice for a future attack in Iran. Yemen is about 1300 miles away that is longer than most of the targets in Iran.
Trump: Trump said that the “Hoothies said that they will not attack ships any longer and so the US will stop bombing them.”
As of now it looks like the statement is related to American ships only which was not the problem that the US tried to solve. The International shipping was the problem. There are very few American ships in that area.
A few hours after Trump’s announcement the Hoothies fired a Ballistic missile toward the Harry Truman Carrier.
I will give it some time to get fully clarified but if it is what it looks like then the message that is well heard in the Middle East and Iran is : “You can rain fire on Israel and any ship, if it’s not us then it’s alright”. The Houthis feel that they won. I know it sounds bad but it looks like another of the Mr.Witkoff “The negotiator”. But the head is always responsible. Just like I am sometimes hard on Bibi this looks bad for Trump. I know that in MAGA some present it as a “victory”. In the Middle East on all sides it looks like “the primitive Houthis got the US to fold”,
The Foreign Minister of Oman who mediated said that “there was an agreement and the Houthis will not fire at American ships.” Again, international shipping was the problem, saying that the problem was US ships is incorrect.
I hope that I am wrong but there is a feeling that Trump is deserting Israel. In the past when it seemed this way it wasn’t so I would not pre-judge, but he is now going to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE. There were attempts to get him to also visit Israel but he said “no”.
He just said that he has a major announcement related to the Middle East and it’s “very important”. We will hear it in a few days. I would rather not speculate at this moment and give him the respect that he deserves, we shall see. I just hope it’s not another or the “Witkoff deals”.
–Gaza: The common report now is that the maneuver in Gaza is delayed to after the visit of Trump to the Middle East. Again, on the 13th and on he will visit Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE. In the meanwhile the call in for Reservists started. While I noticed major opposition to expand the war in Gaza both on main stream media and in comments of main media with a real call not to show up, we are now seeing over 100% attendance, some volunteer to come without a call in too. This tells me that the loud noise in the media is more of a small % of the population than they make it look.
The Reservists some served 300-500 days are maybe tired but they understand that we need to complete the job in Gaza. The plans this time are to conquer and clean Gaza, as opposed to the previous maneuver where they conquered and withdrew and used the system of raids rather than holding and cleaning all the zones. The previous operating way was wrong and this is attributed to the previous Chief of Staff who was now replaced. It was a political mistake to keep him and some others if you ask me. Their responsibility on 10/7 is too great. Bibi is delaying any main investigation for after the war. His rational is that you don’t want to stress people who are in a war and make them lawyer up.
As I said many of the reservists (not all) will replace the regulars at the North and East and the regulars will move South to Gaza. The “regulars” are mandatory service and career soldiers.
Iran: I saw a segment of Marjorie Tylor Greene at Bannon’s program. She represents the “MAGA base” and suggests opposition to “people in Trump’s ear” who sway him for things that are “not acceptable by the base” like a deal with Ukraine that secures the future of Ukraine and like bombing Iran that is “in opposition to anti foreign wars MAGA policy”.
I understand the MAGA point of view and support it in principle.
But I would like to point out those things about Iran:
In Iran you see masses of tens of thousands and more yelling “Death to America death to Israel” in organized events by the regime. The Iranians want to spread Islam and consider the US the “great Stan” who is corrupting the Western world. Their missiles are getting to reach longer and longer distances and they are working on improving them. A strike on their nuclear sites will not bring about a war. They know very well that their military is far behind the US and they can be crushed in a week and lose the regime. They can send some missiles at US bases in the Middle East to show that they responded but that’s about it. So what I am saying here is that I am challenging the claim of “Foreign Wars”.
Iran is declaring itself as an enemy of the US, so do you really want them to have nuclear weapons and does preventing it is “foreign wars”? Not an American interest?

Having strong personal bonds to Israel, unrelated to political office, is a more reliable indicator of authentic and unwavering support (which means critical support, not un-thinking support). Unfortunately the worst trouble we ever had with America were American Jews in US positions: Kissinger, Blinken, Hochman (who pressured us for Biden to withdraw from Lebanon prematurely) and now Witkoff. Not to mention other figures like Sanders and Schumer. So I never use generalities on American Jews. Some deserve praise like Stefan Millar, Mark Levin, Breitbart, etc… but most are not good for Israel not to the US in my opinion.

So yes. We too are “tired of wars.” I never enjoyed when my father went to wars when I was a child, nor to see my neighbors get killed or a friend of the family becomes a hostage. I would have preferred to spend my early mature age in University rather than Military.

Not to worry. Though MAGA folk do believe in America First, we also understand that Israelies should embrace Israel First. The symbiosis between our country and yours will not be harmed by this common sense alliance.
Thank you. Basically the US stopping to bomb the Houthis has a direct effect on all of us. Realize that they send us to shelters regularly even with US bombing them. I am not even mentioning their stopping the shorter shipping route to Israel from Asia. So I see the question ability of why did the US started to bomb them in the first place. Basically because of international shipping routes. It caused raise of prices in Europe and possibly affected US prices too in this global world. But I can understand why you would stop. The timing is awful, just when they increased the attacks on Israel and hit our International Airport. Also Trump said that “attacks from the Hoothies will ne considered as Iran”. He then ignored his own statement as far as what we know. So the US is not appearing strong in the area as of now. His VO now said that “Iran can have a civilian nuclear program” in opposition to his own statement of “dismantling the centrifuges”. No one in Israel is thinking that the attacks on the Houthis were motivated as a defense of Israel. But it did defend Israel to a degree.

Regarding the Hoothies. There is no misunderstanding. I am saying that the reason the US got into it was International Shipping in the Red Sea. US shipping in the Red Sea is minor and was never the reason. So withdrawing now is interpreted as a surrender in the Middle East and by the Houthis. But the timing to stop the attacks on the Houthis along with their bombing Israel’s International Airport is a bad message in the Middle East. The message is: “You can rain fire on Israel or any ships so long as you leave us along.”
The attacks on the Houthis were odd in the first place, it doesn’t align with the America First policy in my opinion so I was surprised that it started in the first place.
Now Trump’s reputation in the Arab world is damaged. They see that he flipped on what he said about the Houthis (“any attack from the Houthis will be like an attack from Iran”).
He is in a process of flipping about the Iranian centrifuges. He is in a process of flipping on his Gaza transfer Plan and he flipped on the Russian Ukraine war. So I don’t think that he is doing well on foreign relations. We will now see a huge 800 Billions dollar defense deal with the Saudis which is good for the US economy. He may announce a Defense Treaty with the Saudis in exchange. But if he gives them a nuclear program while defending it with a treaty it would eliminate all the food that he ever did for Israel. A nuclear Saudi Arabia is a nightmare for us.

Thanks. I don’t know how to de-rediclize them aside for taking over their education system and going hard against incitement and passage of time, a new generation that was not educated by Hamas. We are looking at the historical examples of Germany and Japan after the World War 2. But there may be another plan I heard about, moving them back in to reconstructed zones on condition of passing a test similar to the Citizenship test in the US.
The whole subject of de-radicalized Gaza came to my attention from Mr. Ron Dermer the Strategic Minister of Israel.
David: Germany was not de-radicalized. Germany was neutered, literally (by killing a generation of German men) and figuratively (by turning Germans into gilt-ridden liberals). The “useful Nazis” (in terms of skills, that is) went to the US, where they were better off abandoning Nazism. As for the Japanese, they got nuked and completely de-militarized, with a new, pacifist constitution. The US occupied Germany and Japan for years and still has large military bases in both countries.
The Arabs in Gaza cannot be de-Islamified.
Well they flipped from their Fascist ideology to a democracy. As far as the world is concerned they are
de-radicalized , whatever the method was. It took a generation.
The Arabs in Israel who live with us and we are eating in their restaurants and treated by their doctors in our hospitals etc… are an example of what can be achieved with the Palestinians. If you assume that all is lost you can’t move forward with a plan aside for an expulsion or killing them.

David: Israel’s battles will always be seen as “foreign wars” by the majority of Americans because the majority of Americans are not Jewish. Many American Jews do not identify as “Jewish,” other than in a vestigal, cultural sense (they don’t know any better, due to poor education). That’s all you need to know. Unfortunately, too many Israeli leaders cannot get this simple fact into their heads, and think that Americans and Israelis are essentially identical.
To reduce your frustration, don’t struggle to convince anyone about the righteousness of Israel’s cause. Don’t fight to justify Israel’s actions. Those of us who support Israel are always going to support Israel, even though this can be tremendously frustrating for us, too.

What I am saying is that if Trump will take out the Iranian unclear sites along with Israel that will not be “a foreign war” because :1. It will be an operation and not a war. Iranian retaliation will also not amount to a war. 2. Iran is openly declaring the US as an enemy and calling “death to America”. So taking out their nukes is not in contradiction to “America First ” and doesn’t contradict the “avoiding foreign wars” policy of MAGA.

David: You and I agree on the justification for attacking Iran’s nuclear sites, be it for Israel or the US, but many Americans interpret “America First” literally, as in “not US soil, not American lives.” Furthermore, many Americans object to US military support of Israel, or joint operations with Israel, for a variety of reasons, all of which ultimately come down to a distaste for Israel (i.e., the Jewish State of Israel).
Trying to relate a military strike on Iran with “America First” is the wrong rhetorical appoach for Israel and Israelis to take. Too many Americans simply won’t buy this argument. It may not seem logical, but nothing about US-Israel relations is logical.

You are such a precious Gift to many of us here. One reason is how much attention and effort you put into clear communication with us in your Second Language while you likely are going through the many emotions and heartbreak that comes with War — ESPECIALLY Existential War!
The differences you’ve made in my life are HUGE. You’ve allowed me to be close with a Politically-CONSERVATIVE Jew (very few in America that I encounter; yes, I realize most Orthodox and Hasidic Jews are Conservative and voted for PDJT; I am not around them in my daily life).
My late-hubby was the first Jew who helped me turn the corner from the Communism / Progressive gaslighting from my Family in my youth (and beyond) to truly embracing Conservative values and common sense.

I thought of you when PDJT was giving a Presser aboard Air Force 1 a few days ago.
It’s so loud (being on the airplane) that I don’t always clearly hear what’s being said — especially the questions and occasionally even his answers.
He was asked about replacing Waltz and is Stephen Miller under consideration as a replacement.
He said that Stephen Miller is basically at the top of the totem pole and involved with pretty much all the WH business.
Some people think he was saying SM is being considered as replacement for Waltz. To me, it sounded 50% like that and 50% that he has given enormous power to SM just where he’s situated as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor.

About 20 years ago a friend was ‘the boss’ of that bridge. Although he was not supposed to allow ‘guests’ on the bridge, he let my husband and I on when a big boat was heading in.
We got there early and stayed in the little house on the bridge as it went up. While it was up I walked along the high walkway, saw the inner workings of the counter balance weights (have no clue what the actual names of these things are), and when the boat was done and blew it’s horn, my friend asked if I wanted to send the reply.
So I stood on the bridge and pressed the button in succession to answer the boat, and was thrilled to have had the chance to be there. My friend no longer works on the bridge.
What a fabulous memory, Raven.
When I was a freshman in high school, my dad was a RR “bridge rat.” He fixed drawbridges from CT to NY. So…..when my English class was traveling to NYC by train, the engineer invited me and a few of my friends into the diesel engine and allowed me to take the controls for a moment – a fireable offense, I’m sure!
It was exhilarating, and I still can recall the feeling 60+ years later.
That’s what you call having a lot of “power” in your hands! It would be a thrill just to be in the front engine, but you got to take the controls!

Akron woman arrested on drug charges Monday after pet raccoon was found with her meth pipe

A 55-year-old Akron woman was arrested May 5 and charged with multiple drug offenses after a raccoon was discovered in her vehicle holding a meth pipe in its mouth, Springfield Township police posted on Facebook.
Officers initially conducted a traffic stop at about 7:15 p.m. after identifying a vehicle whose owner had both an active warrant and a suspended driver’s license.
After officers detained the driver, police then discovered a raccoon named “Chewy” sitting in the driver’s seat with a meth pipe in its mouth, police reported. Officers further inspected the vehicle after that discovery and ended up finding a “bulk amount” of meth, crack cocaine and three used glass meth pipes.
The woman was charged with possession of drugs, three counts of drug paraphernalia possession and was also cited for driving under suspension. She was turned over to Cuyahoga Falls Police on her active warrant. Additional charges related to crack cocaine possession will be present to the Grand Jury as BCI lab results are pending, police said.
The raccoon was reportedly unharmed, and authorities were notified to determine that the woman in fact had the proper documentation to own the raccoon.
“While our officers are trained to expect the unexpected, finding a raccoon holding a meth pipe is a first!” the post said.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

Haven’t been able to jump on here a lot. Our world has been quite busy and we are entering in a critical time. For those who have been praying for us – THANK YOU. We’ve been feeling the power of the prayerful protection and it’s been guarding our bodies, our minds, and our paths as we are navigating these critical times.
The LORD Has Answered my prayers and massive changes are underway. As I continue to realize, when we submit ourselves to The Lord’s Calling – He Can and Does Do extraordinary things in our lives and He Moves the Spiritual Boulders that weigh us down Spiritually and literally.
I start a new job this coming Monday – to GOD BE THE GLORY.
Savannah is doing very well – finishing her online schooling and having broken free from the “narratives” constructed within the public education system. Her eyes are wide open and she’s seeing – sometimes the hard way – the “false propaganda” propitiated by social media and how controlling that is to one’s mind. After the online sex predator situation – she moved to a less modern flip phone from a “
smart(keep you dumb and reliant)” phone. She feels SAFER, less interrupted, less overcome to temptation, and and less inclined to sinking hours upon hours into mindless chattel. We went on a small trip this weekend and she was looking around and more present than she has been in a very long time. I highly recommend it. I have asked her if she wanted me to perform a factory reset of her former phone, so she may use it again… and her answer was an emphatic “no!”Let these matters speak to each one of us, especially those of us who are intent on breaking free from these horrible social narratives. Let us remember who it was in the Bible that GOD VALUED and those God Used for miraculous things were customarily those who were considered “less than” or “unqualified” in social norms.
Savannah is interested in pursuing military service. I realize how each of our minds may immediately jump to the “what ifs” – but our hope, our faith, and our futures – belong to GOD and HIS WORD DOES NOT COME BACK VOID. HE HAS THE POWER TO EQUIP AND PROTECT HER THROUGH EVERY CIRCUMSTANCE. As a Mom and a military daughter and ex-wife… I realize that we, as a country, will need people on the inside of military service who LOVE GOD, LOVE OUR COUNTRY, AND LOVE OUR CONSTITUTION. Our Constitution, government, and Christian council are Savannah’s favorite topics – so in cases where she may be labeled “less” – GOD CAN MAKE HER MORE TO SUIT HIS NEEDS FOR HER. I appreciate your prayers as she goes through evaluations and builds up her stamina to enlist. Could be a month – could be a year – we just don’t know yet.
We pray for all of you and for the freedom of your minds, your commitments to worship, and align yourselves against all social norms and odds to God’s Holy Service. For IN HIM is where we truly find our shelter in peace. Praying for you all, in Jesus’s Holy and Saving Name, AMEN
