Good morning Magic. Thanks for posting this video. My Grandmother grew some of these every year. My 85 year old neighbor grows some of these also every year, and shares them with me.
I have also grown some every year. Every thanksgiving, Granny would mash rutabagas and potatoes together. Delicious with turkey gravy! I include a small batch every Thanksgiving dinner I serve. Try it sometime, you might like the unusual taste.

Dried Beef and gravy on toast. I love it! Mom made it and now I make it. Have two jars of dried beef in the pantry as I write this. Damn it nimrodman, your making my hungry!
Had plenty of SoS too, tho mom usually made biscuits from scratch during that time period instead of buying bread. It was usually Buddig “beef” packets tho that were less than a buck, heck they still are, except 2 oz serving now.
Haven’t made SoS sausage/biscuits/gravy since I was doing a breakfast shift back in 2011 when I first opened … all scratch made to boot including the sausage, still is for a pizza topping.
yeah, we were Yankees and didn’t grow up with the great Southern tradition of biscuits and sausage gravy
but I’ll keep an eye out on restaurant menus when I travel
My neighbor Steve makes excellent Biscuits and Gravy and has me over for some for breakfast sometimes.
Need to remember to ask if “they” make it fresh tho, otherwise…. it comes out of a #10 can and while you might be able to digest it, I cannot as the “sausage” is a mix with <TVP™> (soy&MSG).
I love the “country fried” things if they self make but if it is a “frozen from a SYSCO bag” I gotta skip it for the same reason… it’s not quite “real” when they put those “meat extenders” in it.
My last trip to IN, I was fortunate to find 2 places that made their pork tenderloin from scratch…. a little bar in Rockville IN, and of course <Aunt Bee’s> tenderloin @ the <mayberry cafe> in Danville IN.

My Grandmother’s creamed chipped beef was an artform, the toast was lightly buttered and the thickness of the mixture made it almost like pudding. She would make it for the post- service breakfast in the Community Hall at Grace Episcopal Church in Georgetown pn Sundays and our extended family sat together and my Aunts “caught-up” on family news. Thanks for that memory!

SPAM (Shoulder Pork Ham). Hormel contracted a famous French Chef to figure out how to get product from the otherwise unmarketable pork shoulder and SPAM is what he came up with.
It quickly became popular during the depression and because of its shelf life and ease of preparation, was a staple for the US military during WW II. The Navy nomenclature for it was “Luncheon meat, canned”. Millions of cans were shipped to allies, including Russia, during the war.
After the war millions of more pounds of the stuff in large tins or as part of CARE packages was distributed in Western Europe to help stave off starvation in the populations of war torn Europe.
We have two cans of the low sodium version it in our pantry now as usual. I like it about any way one finds it served, including right out of the can. Fried SPAM makes a great breakfast sandwich with egg and cheese. Later with the left over fried SPAM I’ll make another sandwich with yellow mustard or horseradish sauce. None of it goes to waste around this house. Even our picky pussy cat likes it.

2. A Massive explosion in a main port in Iran. The place contained large amount of chemicals for producing solid fuel for ballistic missiles (it came from China) for Irans Missiles program. Some 36 published killed and close to a 1,000 injured. At first they said “it was an accident”, then they say it’s “Israel because there are a few centers of explosions and Israel must have intercepted the containers in China or on route or in Iran and it must be a sabotage.” Now they again say that it’s “under investigation”. This is a major port which handles a major part of all of Iran’s export and import. I compiled some footage and in one of the videos it looks like a few centers of fire which makes it likely a Mossad hit. Some Israeli Officials denied involvement. This can be a major news if they decide it’s israel and to retaliate. If it’s not Mossad then it’s a Divine Intervention. I think Mossad but could have been too sophisticated to be traced or proved as an operation.

3. Israel responded to a rocket from Lebanon (didn’t cause anything) and took out a precision missile plant of Hezbollah in Beirut. Three missiles left a big hole where there was a whole warehouse. You can see the three missile hitting the target.

During WW II it was through Iran that a huge amount of “lend lease” material bound for Russia went through. One big item were the 2 1/2 ton trucks. They were shipped as parts in crates to Iran where an assembly plant was set up and native laborers were trained to put them together.
The Russian drivers were flown down to pick them up and each new truck the drove back to Russia had it’s bed full of supplies, or weapons, or ammo. and Russia needed a lot of them. Partially because they didn’t train their people in maintenance so when a truck stopped running for any reason they pushed it out of the way and just went and got another one.

Thank you. I mentioned that they are heading to an Obama Deal 2 which will delay the problem for later by lowering levels of enrichment rather than dismantling the centrifuges. If they feel like it they could just enrich again to dangerously levels. They just want to be over the Trump period. Rubio said that they can have a civil plant . Why? They have enough oil to take care of their energy and all of Europe if they could.

Good Monday Morning all.
Got my yard mowed yesterday. I had to if I didn’t want to be bailing hay even though it’s only been 4 days since I last mowed.
Cut it diagonal at a 90 deg. angle from the last time. Diagonal cutting takes too darn long but I had the time and it sure looks nice. Changing the direction of mowing is best for the grass and helps smooth the lawn by preventing ruts caused by continually mowing in the same pattern over and over again.
Rain in our forecast for Tuesday through Friday according to my phone app. Doubt we get four days of it. Hopefully we have seen the last of the frost but we will have some cooler than normal weather coming in next week though the forecast is for it to be much cooler than normal in OH, PA, and up into New England during that time.
Just paying attention to the weather pattern forecasts and the MJO, it’s looking like we may see a tropical storm or hurricane or two before the traditional start of the Atlantic hurricane season June 1st.
We have another one of those days when there is a high probability of a tornado outbreak and it is likely that people are going to die because of the weather today and/or early tomorrow morning. I would not be surprised if even Kansas, well to the south west of the projected worst concentration sees some violent tornadoes today before things get fired up further north. But that’s just this old truck driver’s assessment.
The same old propagandist media are in a full court press against Trump. Does anyone actually believe this horse crap?

What do you think the out come will be after all of the years of Trudeau?
Personally, I am certain Carney will win, probably decisively. Why?
Reason 1) He has all of the morally corrupt media and government supporting him. This includes government control of speech!
Reason 2) (Somewhat similar to reason 1) at some level the government is in charge of — and thus possibly in control of –elections. Everybody, except those who are stupid or don’t care (which is essentially same thing), knows what this means in this country whether they admit or deny it.
Reason 3) Far too many Canadians are way too trusting of their fascist government and media. Evidentially a lot of them actually like to be treated like proles, and the rest need to be abused a whole lot more if they are ever going to wake up and assert their sovereignty. At this point I do not know how that would even be possible.
And what if Poilievre wins against all odds? It would be similar to in the UK the government going back from Labor to Tory, i.e., the arrogance and indifference would be roughly the same, just a different stench.

Will you help me with something? I would like to purchase a nice wrist watch for my daughter for her graduation. Seeing as all things are currently pointing to her military enlistment… I want something durable; water-resistant, mud resistant. Lots of watches available now are “smart” watches and I don’t want something like that, as I don’t think the military is “okay” with any short of GPS installed in the watch which could reveal soldier location.
My “wish” list? Not necessary… but maybe there’s a version out there that’s robust? I was looking at the Garmin watches and they are in the $1,000 plus range and I thought – yeah, they’re really nice and practically bake bread for you, but if she lost it, she’d feel sick over it. So maybe that’s not a good idea.

I already have them in my mind 100% of the time – but we defer to GOD and we rely on HIM to build a Divine Hedge of Protection around her. She wants to pursue some sort of mechanic MOS around the military armaments specifically the birds.
Should I get her two watches; one for “dress” and one for “mud-slinging”? I realize they go in as minimalist as possible. One change of clothes and a pair of athletic shoes. The rest is “issued”.

“The freedom of believers from condemnation. (1-9) “Their privileges as being the children of God. (10-17) Their hopeful prospects under tribulations. (18-25) Their assistance from the Spirit in prayer. (26,27) Their interest in the love of God. (28-31) Their final triumph, through Christ. (32-39)”

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Dear Lady Duchess01,
the devil has been busy. Attacks aplenty. Only the Spiritually wise and strong will survive and that all comes from maintaining constant FOCUS… not on man… but ON GOD. It’s difficult to recap and catch up our brothers and sisters here on the happenings of the day, the relentless pursuit of our weaknesses, and challenges to our souls.
We can only PRAY for one another and for the Divine Hedge of Protection and the Discernment only administered via The Holy Spirit derived from The Holy Trinity – the Three-In-One Triune God. The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit – Who Was then… Is now… and Evermore Shall Be… world without end.
Once our full and complete Trust is In Him; we have no more worry or concern, only submission and acceptance – and then our lives become spectator sports – for this battle is far above our earthly position.
Keep your mind set on Higher Things dear loved one. God Is In Control.

We’re received several emails regarding these pop-up ads. At this moment, I don’t think there is ANY browser that can guarantee you don’t get assailed by these ads. My usual reply to those who write is:
We’re extremely sorry with these problems our readers keep having to deal with. However…it’s not the site. It’s your internet provider, or even your choice of browser.
Your provider controls “malware” that is programmed to activate if and when you visit websites your provider does not align with. AT&T is the largest company that uses this method of deterrence, but they all do it to some degree.
Regretfully, CTH has NO control over what your internet provider does.
As of late, browsers are now in the business of controlling what you may or may not see on the internet as well – according to their ideological outlook. So, be aware, that could also be your issue.

Wow that was really interesting. Once I had a swarm with a new queen under the fender of my passenger tire in my F150. I came out of the grocery store and there they were. I called a friend that had bees and he said I could drive home and they should abandon the car at some point.
He said that a new queen had been born at an established hive and she must have left to start her own colony and some of the bees went with her. He said that is what they normally do and the queen decided to rest under the fender of my truck and the other bees were protecting her.
I parked the truck under a large tree and eventually they swarmed onto the tree and then left. It was a pretty strange experience.
