The US needs to take over an airport and airline, 200 people per flight that’s 100,000 flights, 36 flights per day, operate 365 days per year, estimate 7.5 years operating non stop to deport them all. What a task, have to find a way to walk thousands back into Mexico daily and say they are yours now.
The easiest solution is to make life untenable here so they self-deport. Without welfare, medicaid, jobs, etc, there’s nothing to keep them here.

If that’s the play, then Bondi’s appointment makes more sense. As the face of deportation, she presents a softer image than Tom Homan, and she can speak with authenticity to suburban moms on the family safety aspect. In retrospect, Matt Gaetz would have been severely handicapped trying to carry out that mission.
