New data says nearly 75,000 Canadians have died since 2018 while sitting on a waitlist for a diagnostic scan or surgery.
But, what’s even more shocking is the likelihood that number could be as high as 150,000.
The data was collected by filing Freedom of Information Requests across Canada. Health watchdog group SecondStreet.org says the figures cover everything from cancer treatment and heart operations to cataract surgery and MRI scans.
“Canadians pay really high taxes and yet our health care system is failing when compared to better-performing universal systems in Europe,” said Harrison Fleming, Legislative and Policy Director at SecondStreet.org. “Thousands of Canadians across the country find themselves on waitlists — in some cases for several years — with too many tragically dying before ever getting treated, or even diagnosed.”
“Colin Craig, the organization’s president, ( SecondStreet.org.) says most governments don’t fully track waitlist deaths, and some don’t do it at all, which makes it impossible to know the extent of the problem.
“Behind all these numbers are patients that are suffering — moms and dads that are dying, leaving behind their children, grandparents leaving behind their grandkids, people who are suffering in chronic pain,” he said. “It’s deplorable what’s going on in this country and how patients are treated.”
Meanwhile, Trudeau, Liberal/ Globalist, uncaring narcissist, has been giving billions to Ukraine, and bringing in lots of unsuitable migrants, while we also have an affordable housing crisis, (sound familiar ? ) Globalists have different priorities.
Another replacement Globalist, Mark Carney, has been placed in power by the Liberal party, but in two days(the 28th) we go to the polls. Hopefully there will be a ‘too big to rig’ movement, Trudeau has been ruling over Canada for 10 years, downhill all the way.
Recently Trudeau has been wrapping himself in the flag, desperate for a rise in popularity in the polls. Naturally, he would choose division to achieve his purpose.
There was talk at that time, Trudeau’s coming to power in 2015, that Obama’s ‘people’ came up to Canada to ‘help’. No sign of their malignant presence this time, but one never knows.

Our temps are not up to your level, but we are not too far behind. our highs, in Fahrenheit 63 to 66 degrees, nights , 43 – 48 degrees.
We used to use Fahrenheit but Trudeau senior (early Globalist ) switched Canada to European measurements

Yes! Big smile back , you are right…. where I live I am only a few feet above sea level, actually where I live its a bit hilly so it varies in this neighborhood, between 62 feet and 167 feet in elevation. I really like Idaho. If I could move to the U.S. I think I would choose Idaho..
Although it is very different, I am also fond of Iowa. Probably because I met some really lovely people from there, while doing some genealogical tourism, and also because my in-laws ancestors lived there in a few different places, one of them Cedar Rapids.

How that “Maryland man” sent to a “Gulag” in El Salvador has dropped completely out of the news cycle?
Even Democrat Rep. Maxine [drama queen] Dexter, who swore she would stay in El Salvador until the “Maryland man” was sent back has returned to the US.
I have no special knowledge but from watching the story evolve over 2 weeks it seems the negative opinions about the Democrats’ position far exceeded any sympathy they tried to engender. It was a totally losing argument for the Left / Democrats and the smarter ones among them convinced much of the media to drop it and move on from the story.
