You’ve probably seen the Metallica video “One”, where the guy has “locked in syndrome” – aware of everything but can’t move, talk, or communicate in any way – that’s what I feel like sometimes. Lol. There’s a lot of stuff up there, but I can’t get it out easily. Infuriating! – I joke that it was God’s way of making sure I didn’t ever become a con man, because there’s no chance of me ever smooth talking anyone.
I write more easily than I can talk though, if I can take my time, so I’m a little jealous of you for that. 😉
Although, once I get to know someone, it is easier to talk in person for some reason. And with some people, it’s easy from the start.
I was drawn to music very young too. My cousins & I used to put on what we thought were Christmas pageants during our extended family Christmas get togethers – which just consisted of us singing (badly, I’m sure) various Christmas songs at everyone. Looking back, I remember they got a kick out of the spectacle of it. I can’t remember for sure who the ring leader was that talked everyone into that, but I think it might have been me… lol

Just watched a very sobering documentary on actress, screenwriter, and director Adrienne Shelly
— an absolutely incandescent young woman murdered by an Ecuadorian illegal alien who was doing construction work in the same New York building where she maintained an office for her filmmaking efforts.
Her acting career culminated in the film Waitress, which she wrote, directed, and acted in — along with Keri Russell and Cheryl Hines and others
It was released at the Sundance Film Festival posthumously, as she was murdered months before its release … in later years a successful Broadway stage show was launched reprising the film
Her husband started a foundation in her honor to support women filmmakers, and produced a documentary using excerpts from home movies, film clips, and interviews with Adrienne’s teenage daughter, recounting how he and she navigated their life aftermath in her absence.
A sad and tragic story, but riveting (to me) simply by the light coming off this young woman

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

The parents of a 2-year-old boy who spent a night alone in the Arizona wilderness and was led to safety by a local rancher’s dog are calling the ordeal “a miracle.”
Bowden Allen disappeared from his home in Seligman at around 5 p.m. Monday. His father, Cory Allen, was working on the home’s roof, while his mother, Sarah Allen, was caring for their 1-year-old, NBC affiliate KPNX reported.
Sarah said that she heard her older child walk out of the home but that when she called for him, he didn’t answer, triggering a panicked search.
“It started — getting more intense every minute,” Cory said about the search for his son.
The couple called in family members for help and eventually contacted the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, kicking off a search effort comprising more than 40 rescuers and a Department of Public Safety helicopter that spotted two mountain lions in the area.
But as the sun set, there was still no sign of Bowden.
“I didn’t even know how to process,” Sarah said. “I looked at his empty bed in the middle of the night, and I’m like this isn’t real, he’s not — how is he not here? How is he out by himself somewhere in the dark?”
Rancher Scotty Dunton said that around 16 hours later, he found Bowden on his land after his dog, Buford, led him there. Dunton’s property is 7 miles away from the toddler’s home.
Dunton said Buford, an Anatolian Pyrenees, found Bowden sleeping under a tree, KPNX reported. He was found with a few scratches on his arm.
“I feel like God sent that dog to rescue my son,” Cory told the outlet about Buford.
Sarah called the ordeal “a miracle.”
“It’s unreal and it’s unbelievable,” she said.

Your love, Father, is limitless. Your compassion – it’s a river that never dries. Amidst life’s ebbs and flows, your love remains my anchor. Much like it says in Lamentations 3:22-23, your steadfast love never ceases.
Lord, your faithfulness is remarkable. Despite hunger gnawing at millions, you’ve filled my plate. It reminds me of your promise in Matthew 6:26. Just as you feed the birds, you’ve fed me, too.
Your protection, Father, is a fortress. Dangers lurk, yet they can’t reach me. Just as Psalm 91:14 assures us of your protection, I have felt your guarding presence.
You are Jehovah Rapha, our healer. My health, a testament to your divine healing power, reflects the promise of Exodus 15:26. You’ve mended me where I was broken.

Good morning all!
Day before yesterday I did some grocery shopping, and got a hair cut. I stocked up on soda since Meijer was having a buy two, get one free sale on a lot of popular brands in 12 packs. Stocked up on water and bought a 4- lb. bag of dog food. I also filled up four each 5 gallon cans for lawn mowing gas and topped off the FJ.
I trim mowed and weed wacked the yard.
Yesterday
I went to Menards and bought two raised gardening containers and assembled one. I have to go back before I assemble the other because a bag of parts was missing. I hate it when that happens. I know you have to look to be sure your getting everything you buying when you buy that kind of thing! I also bought a 6′ long garden hose extension so I can hook up my hose and keep the reel box it is in away from the exhaust side of the new generator.
I stopped by Meijer again and bought two Porterhouse steaks and two packs of beef short ribs. Ribs went in the freezer, the steaks got marinated and I grilled them for dinner.
I got on the zero turn and mowed the yard also. Despite already having the trimming done that took the better part of 2 hours because I mowed in a diagonal pattern this time.
Today I plan to power wash the new and old walks. I will spray the old walk with “30 seconds” cleaner and let it sit for time, then hit it with my highest pressure nozzle on the power washer. I’m told that will make the old walk look like it was just poured.
Then I’ll do what ever parts of the house siding that needs to be cleaned. One of the downsides of feeding birds is that inconsiderate guests that are not potty trained.
