Well, first several treatments are in the books. I totally quit smoking too. I was down to only a few a day for a long time now, doc said it will help, but it was already too late anyways….
The chemo hit me like a truck this time. Bleh!
The last time, I didnt feel too bad, the chemo didnt make me feel really sick, but that was a different type of cancer. It was the burn on my neck that was terribly painful, the last go around.
This time, well, only 3 and I feel nauseous. A pile more to go. No burn on my skin yet….yet being the operative word. A pile of burn me to a crispy critter, left as well. Yay….pfffft….
Ive been reading what’s going on today, but I just dont care at this point.
Redacted files…useless. Tulsi yapping about the machines, and cheating……no heads on a platter. Nada….same old BS. Silo this, silo that, its so hard, like SD said…its just blah blah blah, blabbetty blah to me. Stretching it all out, as if the adults cant handle truth. Its all just coverup, CYA nonsense, again. I really thought Bongino wasn’t the type to take any crap. So far, looks like he is being reigned in too. My faith in these people is a waste of thoughts.
Wake me up when people are in jail. Considering the treason on a massive scale that has been covered up, it is not shocking to see more of this wasting time and BS’in us all.

Ah well, I have more important things to worry about. Like not dying. The politicians BS just doesn’t rate on my scale of GAF for a while to come. If I manage to fight this off, then Ill get back into er.
Now, I speak to God nightly, to help me through this. It truly sucks, man. But I’ve been here before, and God didn’t want me yet. My faith is strong, my mind is strong, Ill fight and fight some more.

Glad to see your post, brother. You sound good. Cutting the B.S. out of your daily diet is a good thing for your mind and body. The desire to see justice in our time can be stressful to one’s psyche. “Vengeance is Thine saith The Lord” and I trust Him with it completely. The evildoers will go before The Lord and He keeps track of them in the Book of Deeds. (Revelation 20:12) They won’t get away with anything and His Justice is much more thorough than ours is. Leave it to Him.
Find something good that you enjoy… and focus on that. If you can’t find anything… one thing that I would do when life was hell and I couldn’t seem to fight my way out of the funk… I would buy myself a simple cup of coffee and then pay for the order for the person behind me. I couldn’t make my own life work out, but I knew that the person behind me would get joy out of the generosity and maybe even pass it forward for the people behind them. So what if it was $20 I didn’t have – I simply valued the attempt to make the world a kinder place and $20 wasn’t going to change my situation here or there. This little thing got me through some really rough rides.
Look for the good. God’s colors. God’s creativity. Find a nice park and walk it slowly. Say “hello” to people. Smile. On purpose. Let the dog walkers come to you and give their dogs a pat. Dogs are excellent happiness ambassadors.
We are continuing to PRAY for you and PRAYER CHANGES THINGS. Stay strong and keep us posted. Rooting for you.

About 12 years ago, I suffered from congestive heart failure. When the paramedics picked me up, I was almost dead. My heart had weakened so much that the fluids had pooled in my ankles and around my waist. My blood pressure was in the stroke range. I was a week in the hospital and remember being introduced to a doctor who I was told was one of the best heart transplant surgeons and that he would be my doctor if it came to that.
I remember the day in my bedroom, after I was released to go home, where for a few seconds I asked the Lord, “Why, of all the people I know, do things always seem to happen to me?” And I remember right then that the faces of so many that I knew, family and friends, flashed through my mind, one after another. And it was like the Lord was asking me, “Which one would you prefer to take your place?” And I realized that I wouldn’t wish what I was enduring on anyone. I then prayed that the Lord would keep them all, my family and my friends. At that moment, I then started remembering all the times the Lord had watched over me and blessed me and protected me. I then said to Him, “I don’t know how much time I have left, but thank you Father for the time you’ve given me. I know everything will be fine, whether you allow me to stay here or I go home to be with you.”
Fast forward 12 years. My heart has returned completely to normal, which I was warned almost never happens when the heart weakens to the degree mine had. The Lord has restored my strength. I told him 12 years ago that I would give testimony about his goodness to me whenever the opportunity arises. Bob, our God is a God who answers prayers. He loves us and no matter what, we can count on Him. Don’t be afraid. We may not be marching into the arena to face the lions, but whatever our situation, nothing takes him by surprise and you can be sure that no matter what, He cares about you.

I’m studying Revelation and Job simultaneously. Job 17 brought me to tears. You had a Job moment, Jonrilus… but you didn’t stay there. You heeded The Spirit and His Answer to you and had an epiphany that is a great testimony for others.

Hope you all are doing awesome in the great Northwest! I am delighted that this is the first year that Savannah and I have been together in an adult women’s group with Bible Study Fellowship. The online international women’s group…makes it a great gathering… early Saturday mornings.
We get up… feed the kittahs, so they are not mucking about in the zoom meeting (which they still do! I think they like all the ladies voices and want to be part of the pawty. It’s hilarious!) Then, we spend about an hour and a half in fellowship and deep study. Through the week, it’s about 3 or 4 hours of study if you’re intense about it. If you can delve a little deeper, than about 5 hours… but spread out… it’s just great practice to be in to stay in The Word.
The Bible Study Fellowship studies are so thorough and the background history and input from all the ladies participating is so rewarding. It really is a great study method. Then, we have a WhatsApp group where we can post our little golden nuggets of wisdom we find and any prayer requests that are going on.
Draws Savannah and I closer together – if we could GET any closer – especially as she ages and is getting busier finishing up online high school and pulling in more hours with her job. AND…. when she leaves the nest… we can still participate with each other online from anywhere in the world as long as we each have internet. I’m setting us up for the days when she could be deployed.
For now, we’ve agreed to a gap year so she can start working an 8-hour a day job to build stamina and physical body strength and mature a little more. She’s making great progress and really starting to learn to help herself instead of relying on old Mom all the time.
She has an elder Alzheimers cat who has been her very best lifelong friend. She will leave after he passes away, which we are already preparing his end of life plan. He’s showing us it is time. She can’t imagine being gone and Timmy passing away without her here. It would just be cruel to him and he’s been so faithful and true to her. We want his passing away to be as peaceful as possible. It’s the right thing to do, so she can be responsible in that difficult process and not just leave it to me to handle.
In that gap year, she’ll secure her drivers license, save up and buy her own car… maybe – or just keep the savings – if she goes into the military, she doesn’t necessary need to be garaging a vehicle, but she’ll probably inherit my Honda Civic and I’ll buy another more appropriate for what I’ll be doing.
As we get half way through, we will review and assess her savings and responsibility and determine if she goes into the Vincennes University Vocational program first – which would qualify her for an increase in rank and likely a nice signing bonus with the military. They’re offering up to $50,000 right now depending upon the enlistment agreement and how many qualifying boxes she checks off. That’d be an awesome start for a young woman starting to build a life for herself.
But, the military is definitely where she’s going unless they find a way to disqualify her. I don’t think they will. Her preliminary ASVAB practice tests are pretty good. It would be a physical limitation that could offline her – but we removed her from any of the psychotropics for her ADHD and slight Asperger’s, and she’s strong and doing very well on her L-Theanine and caffeine protocol.
I’m proud of her. She’s growing and starting to manage herself better.
So – if I could have some directed prayers???? Pray for me as I reconcile her leaving the nest, especially handing her over to the military where anything could happen. She and I are it for one another, so the separation will be hell.
However, I’m working on myself too and there’s some possible changes for me that are going to keep me very, very busy and quite challenged. I learn more next week, so right now it’s just in the conceptual phase… but it’s taking me back to my professional roots and giving me quite a platform to build on. May even have a little “family” I inherit from it – which will help me. I’ll need something to throw myself into… to keep my mind off her.
So, there’s happy tears. Mourning tears. Happy tears. Mourning tears. Joy. Regret. Joy. Lament. Draw close. Push away. Draw close. Push away. I’m not speaking language that’s “new” to anyone here… it’s just my turn to walk through the fire.
When all those people tell you… when you have a baby… that time goes fast… literally in the blink of an eye… and what was I doing before I had her… that was so “important”? And who am I now when I have to reinvent myself again after she’s gone?

I will be praying! Mine is still last-minute trying to decide where he really wants to be for college, one option has him waitlisted for dorm space and another has been unable to offer financial aid/scholarships yet. He is admitted to 4 (the local Catholic college automatically admits the top % at his school, but they are far left even for a deep blue state – the founders must be rolling in their graves). Multiple years of covid craziness combined with Marxist insanity has made this go-around much different than it was with his brother a decade ago (who knew it might be impossible to live on campus and be guaranteed only male roommates?) I always need more craziness in my life.
Just spent the last 3 days with a lame cottontail rabbit living in a small cage in the kitchen… Apparently lost a fight with one (or more) of the others in the yard, rabbits being territorial. We have quite a few bald eagles with demanding chicks living nearby, a family of great horned owls with two fluffy chicks nested nonsensically close to one of the eagle nests, and a moronic red tailed hawk that has repeatedly run into our kitchen window while trying for our parakeets. So, the rabbit got to hang out until it decided it wanted to return to the yard (refused to hop off the bottom of the cage and into the grass until today).
I decided for insane reasons to try a deep dive into Leviticus 26 (and Deuteronomy 28-31), to see if the math was meant literally – blessing for obedience or: for intentional disobedience punishment, worse punishment, punishment plus servitude out of the land/desolation of sanctuary/desolation of Jerusalem. more intense punishment involving servitude out of the land/desolation of sanctuary/desolation of Jerusalem (too many years of dealing with contracts). Knowing in advance that the math in other areas was important (for example, if you make a map of the camp of Israel in the desert, using the head count in Numbers, the tribes are camped in the shape of a cross). So, I am going verse-by-verse all the way through. It has taken a while, but an astonishing number of verses pre-suppose knowledge of those chapters and apparently are in alignment. It is making it a lot easier to understand Paul! The church I grew up in generally did a lot of one-verse or short segment theology from the OT, it is more meaningful in context.

Bob, you’ve been on my mind and in my prayers since your first post about this a few days ago. And I remember another poster, after I’d linked the “Desperate” music video by Jamie MacDonald, who who said that he really needed that, and it occurred to me that someone was going through something and the Holy Spirit wanted to send a reminder.
This is the verse that keeps jumping out to me lately:
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.” – 2 Corinthians 1:3-5
We know that God’s hand is never too short to save because we’ve experienced it in our own lives. And as you posted, Woo, we “pay it forward,” by bringing that comfort to others, not as a “pie in the sky” sort of wishful thinking, but a firm conviction born of what we ourselves have experienced. This Treehouse is not just a place to stay on the cutting edge of current events, or to be part of influencing the zeitgeist that shapes those events. With so many believers here, it’s a place to find comfort and encouragement and healing, at least it should be. And for the sake of Bob, and the poster on the “Desperate” video, and many others who read and don’t post, I could not be more encouraged to see on display the spirit of the people who frequent this Treehouse.

I didn’t comment last year, but everyday I would go to the CTH and be renewed in my faith during those many difficult months. Thank you Treepers for your unwavering faith, comfort and encouragement daily.

He was watching over me and brought me thru three heart attacks. There is a clot lodged in the tip of my heart, causing this area to slowly die off. Thru it all my faith is Much Stronger and God has been there supporting me and helping me adjust to a different life. God is not only good but he is Great!! Praise the Lord for his support when I needed him most.
I thank God daily for our Treehouse and all the prayers and support we can share with others that need him.

Your stories are touching me. Lord HAS Mercy!!! Pat, I like what you posted about writing letters to God. I have journal after journal here. I know that some day…. when I’m gone… my daughter will pick up and read those words therein and I hope they sustain her when she goes through trials of various kinds. Relatable. Real. I call them my “David Prayers”.
I read somewhere else where an individual was keeping a HOPE journal. Every day, they had to write about one good thing they saw, heard, or did. A joy book.
The other super COOL thing is that if you are journaling and you go back six months and review what your wrote…. and then you SEE God’s Deliverance through it all… WHOA! Testify!!! And pass it on to others, so that they too may inherit the hope we have inherited in Christ.

A good and blessed morning Bobofthenorth. So glad you are able to update us here. One thing I’ve done to get through the tough times is to sit down and literally write letters to God.. You will be amazed at how it affects your whole outlook.
I’ve never had to deal with cancer but know a lot of people who have. 2024 was my rough year. March I had a stroke. Got over that and got back to 95%, then in April, I fell and broke my right hip. After much praying and letters to God and my church family, I made it through and, after almost a year, I am back to doing everything I was doing before the stroke and surgery for my hip.
You have been put on my permanent prayer list and I pray for you often. You are smart to not deal with anything that stresses you out. I will continue to pray for you and ask for God’s healing mercies and that His will be done.

Hey Bob. Sorry to hear about your cancer diagnosis and that chemo is making you so sick! I just wanted to use to let you in on a little secret the lady that I work for used during her chemo. She drank two to four cups a day of soursop leaves. She brewed them like a tea you can get them online. And she took two almond kernels a day no more than two. And she changed her diet and she didn’t have to do the last five of her chemo treatments because her cancer disappeared. I’m not saying yours will but I hope that helps because it helps keep her from getting sick as well. I’m not saying to try it, cuz I’m no doctor, but you know do some research and see if maybe it might be right for you. You’re in my prayers

Didn’t much get past Julie London, one of my father’s favorites. This record came out not long before his untimely death at age 51 in 1963 when I was 16. He was a very accomplished trombonist having pure himself through law school playing with a big band. His love of music is my connection to him today. His collection of old 78 records resides with me, though I do not play them, they are him. Thanks for the memories.

Kiddo was just sleep walking. That’s a first. She got up, turned her light on, and I asked her if she was okay and what she was doing. She was insistent that she “had to work tonight”. “Honey, it’s 1:00 in the morning.” Felt her head and it was warm, but she refused to have her temperature taken and she went back to bed.
Had two people in our sphere go to the ER this week and another recovering from Pneumonia. I had an important meeting on Wednesday and that morning felt a little yuck – so muscled through on Severe Cold & Flu; Mucinex DM; and Aspirin.
One thing I’m noticing – people are not HYDRATING enough. Sometimes even a hydration booster would be helpful – like a Liquid IV Hydration Multiplier. They taste good and make a world of difference.
So you all stay healthy, you hear? Take your supplements and be mindful. Our old doctor used to tell people before he passed of Multiple Sclerosis – “How many gallons of water do you use in the shower to cleanse yourself and how much are you drinking to cleanse yourself?”
That’s my PSA for the day. Big hugs to all that need them! Sorry I can’t linger and chat one-on-one, but demands are high and I have to squeeze in some sleep. Sending prayers to cover your heads and your families.
kids believe they are here for a reason, funny huh? Any deed such as that does not go without notice by God. He “will not be” wealthy he “is” wealthy. We all think money is an expansion of who we are but it is a counterfeit, that is the real thing.
I am a family historian. I once posted a very old family photo for another family and we were told by the youngest in the photo that it was taken because she had worms and the meds the Dr had ordered had a possibility of killing her. She was about 2 and they wanted a family photo with her in it.
I recently saw on a show that mercury was once used and wondered if that was what the Dr ordered. Sadly she has since passed so we can no longer ask her.
They stopped using mercury because it was dangerous.

60 years ago today. The Palm Sunday tornado outbreak. The deadliest to hit this region in our life times.
This video is over 25 minutes long but explains the conditions that brought on the outbreak and describes the track and results of major tornado to strike that day.
I was 9 years old, visiting cousins in Kokomo, IN. I saw two tornadoes running along US 31. Today they say there was only one. They’re wrong. There were two about the same size with one right behind the other. One seemed to run along the west side of US 31 and the other along the east side.

We battle with certain ailments and then overcome them, could it be all our answers are in the Bible for spiritual and physical health? It must be so! And I can see how the lack of attention to our spiritual health is directly effecting our physical health, sometimes immediately, how certain sickness’s are rampant and destroy huge amounts of population due to ignorance. Such as fleas, parasites, filth, habits connected to perversion.
We muse that “government” hides cures. What if….the cure was before us literally? The Bible is the most printed book there is and it is ignored. Kinda like God is everywhere but nobody pays attention.

COMMENTARY FOR JOHN 5
The cure at the pool of Bethesda. (1-9) The Jews’ displeasure. (10-16) Christ reproves the Jews. (17-23) Christ’s discourse. (24-47)1-9 We are all by nature impotent folk in spiritual things, blind, halt, and withered; but full provision is made for our cure, if we attend to it. An angel went down, and troubled the water; and what disease soever it was, this water cured it, but only he that first stepped in had benefit. This teaches us to be careful, that we let not a season slip which may never return. The man had lost the use of his limbs thirty-eight years. Shall we, who perhaps for many years have scarcely known what it has been to be a day sick, complain of one wearisome night, when many others, better than we, have scarcely known what it has been to be a day well? Christ singled this one out from the rest. Those long in affliction, may comfort themselves that God keeps account how long. Observe, this man speaks of the unkindness of those about him, without any peevish reflections. As we should be thankful, so we should be patient. Our Lord Jesus cures him, though he neither asked nor thought of it. Arise, and walk. God’s command, Turn and live; Make ye a new heart; no more supposes power in us without the grace of God, his distinguishing grace, than this command supposed such power in the impotent man: it was by the power of Christ, and he must have all the glory. What a joyful surprise to the poor cripple, to find himself of a sudden so easy, so strong, so able to help himself! The proof of spiritual cure, is our rising and walking. Has Christ healed our spiritual diseases, let us go wherever he sends us, and take up whatever he lays upon us; and walk before him.
24-29 Our Lord declared his authority and character, as the Messiah. The time was come when the dead should hear his voice, as the Son of God, and live. Our Lord first refers to his raising those who were dead in sin, to newness of life, by the power of the Spirit, and then to his raising the dead in their graves. The office of Judge of all men, can only be exercised by one who has all knowledge, and almighty power. May we believe His testimony; thus our faith and hope will be in God, and we shall not come into condemnation. And may His voice reach the hearts of those dead in sin; that they may do works meet for repentance, and prepare for the solemn day.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

In the US Military Justice (UCMJ) system there is a concept called “Commanders Intent”. If it is determined by a commander that a subordinate intentionally misinterpreted an order or regulation they can be relieved and/or punished and prosecuted under the UCMJ.
Those that try to claim that our civil justice system is the same as the USMJ are either ignorant or intentionally trying to mislead you.
There are significant differences. There has to be for the military and the military chain of command to function.
