WASHINGTON DC – President Donald Trump on Friday walked into the Department of Justice and labeled his courtroom opponents “scum,” judges “corrupt” and the prosecutors who investigated him “deranged.”
With the DOJ logo directly behind him, Trump called his political opponents’ lawbreakers and said others should be sent to prison.
Trump charged the DOJ with spying on his campaign, raiding his home, persecuting his “family, staff and supporters,” launching “one hoax and disinformation campaign after the other” and breaking the law “on a colossal scale,” making clear the glee he has taken in undermining the department’s typical independence and wielding it to achieve the White House’s objectives.
“First, we must be honest about the lies and the abuses that have occurred within these walls,” Trump said. “Unfortunately in recent years, a corrupt group of hacks and radicals within the ranks of the American government obliterated the trust and goodwill built up over generations. Sometimes it takes years to get a 2nd citizenship, (as my upcoming one will). I think its smart to have one.

Trump nominated her knowing full-well how horribly important the AG job would be given what has transpired over the past 4 years and before, going back 10 years. He made two bad choices in Trump I with Sessions and Barr, so he had to know this couldn’t be allowed to happen again, but it might have. Whoever advised him on Bondi should be banned, even if it was one of his kids.
I sure hope Trump has this broad on a mega-short choke-chain leash. If he needs to dump her and appoint someone else, he’ll need to do it before the 2026 mid-term cycle heats-up. I get a real kick out of these articles like “Politico”!
It’s like the “writers”, (or whoever/whatever they are), have never met or known a person such as President Donald John Trump. Their sarcasm, astonishment, disdain, pearl-clutching commentary (and any other negative verb or adjective one can conjure up in the mix), is really quite boring.
President Trump is not the first President to visit and speak at the Department of Justice; so what’s the big deal? Ohhh…You didn’t like the words he spoke. OMG! How awfully astounding! I do believe we have “Free Speech” in “muh democracy”, right?
I know many commenters and Treepers are not applauding the Attorney General or the Director of FBI; okay….got it.
They have been there about 1 month-2 months into a 4 year term?
I’ve learned in my life time, keep expectations low, results will be better.
President Trump gave a courageous and very honest speech. TS to those who find it “Appalling” and “Unprecedented” and “Blah, Blah, Blah, Outrageous”!!!
I happen to like Attorney General Bondi’s white dress suit; I thought is appropriate for the particular occasion and “NO” I did not believe she acted stupid, or that she touched the President “Too MUCH” or “Inappropriately”.
I’m confident that President Trump has his reasons for bringing in AG Bondi and FBI Director Patel; I won’t question that or criticize that which I am not privy to and I failed mind-reading at a very early age.
I was very relieved to listen to every word that came from the President’s mouth, even the BS comment. Every word had to be said by HIM for a specific reason and a great message and warning to the enemy within.
Job well done, Mr. President.
President Trump has his reasons for Bondi Patel…..loyalty thats it. I hope he does not waste precious time waiting on them to get their priorities straight. I think both made deals to get confirmed…patel more than Bondi….she is just not qualified to do the job. She thinks she is there to make friends.
Did anyone pay particular attention when he said the greatest day of his life was when he fired James Comey? He then expounded on it some more.
I didn’t hear anyone clap or acknowledge this in any way. It told me exactly who he was speaking to and why the entire group at DOJ and FBI need to be fired.
I was dreaming it was a set up so he could see what he was dealing with in these institutions and clean house.
It’s no big deal (at least in my mind) that there was not a big round of applause for that comment.
After all, they are all attorneys working for the DOJ or FBI and there is a respect/comradery for that position in the federal government. I don’t believe it’s anymore than that. AND I don’t believe President Trump was expecting a round of applause for that statement.
We all have been hearing/reading the howls of anger demanding justice, longing for stiff shackles and frog marches of the miscreants. I’ve been keeping my powder dry; I’m willing to wait. (If you can’t even do that, then what’re you gonna do anyway?)
What was it that Sundance said, it seems like years ago? First a trickle, then all at once. Look at how President Trump opened his new term…it was all at once; shock and awe, it was. The other side was gobsmacked. Cracking bloated departments is low hanging fruit.
This criminal justice stuff does take some time to set up. Especially since all these departments have been under control of the very people who were doing the crime. He can’t just go in there and start arresting people. And who knows what there has been uncovered in the meantime. Donald Trump hasn’t been President for two months yet. It takes time to put cast iron cases together.
I suspect that when they’re ready, Washington will be in an uproar unlike anything seen in our lifetimes. “All at once…” Panic. Even smart people can do stupid things in a panic. Maybe AG Bondi is wrong for this gig. If that becomes evident, she will be gone with thanks for her service. (Unless she really stinks the place up like sessions and some others.) But she’ll be gone. The Commander in Chief is certainly allowed to call an audible in the middle of the battle.
And once this thing starts to break out…in the departments; in the congress; in the courts (if they choose to do it all at once), heads won’t literally roll, but they certainly will spin. Dear God, I can wait. If things had gone as some had hoped in Butler, the Indian from SC/UN, Halley [I’m not being a smarty-pants; I really can’t recall her name! Good for me huh?] would be POTUS and rigormortis would be setting in on our Republic. Yes. I can wait.
We Treepers are all struggling with the “Barbie Blondie Bondi” optics of her physical appearances and lack of action in the first weeks. Bondi and Patel absolutely need to deliver in the short term, if not with results, at least with the pipeline of actionable cases. I did not care either way until today with the runway sashay — agree fully with Sundance’s initial and continuing critique of her.
Installing personnel to slow things down is a feature. That is my impression of how Bondi got to where she is. In my book, that means Susie Wiles is a problem too because of their connections.
I read an article where it said Chuck Grassley’s purpose was to slow things down. I do not have a link and I have not located the article yet. Just wanted to share my comment in a timely way.
Counterbalance the Bondi problem with hiring of fire breathing special investigators like Matt Gaetz and Ken Paxton. That is when things will take a serious turn.
Bondi’s superficial mannerisms flashing a smile and batting her eyes may have smitten the fellows in high school but it seems our valuable time and efforts are wasted on her.

As a CBP officer, I inspected numerous individuals seeking admission to the US each day.
After awhile, say… after the first 10,000 people you interview… even a numbskull like me starts to detect a pattern – and can detect pretty quickly if someone is being authentic and truthful,
or hiding something.
One of the guys I worked with, was so good at it – he could tell a passenger would be a ‘case’ from 50 feet.
He was rarely wrong.
Like, never.
If you inspect 100 people a day (a not unreasonable number)
Then:
5 days/week: 500
4 weeks/month: 2000
12 months/yr: 24,000
10 years: 240,000
20 years: 480,000
So… if you’ve interacted with nearly a half-million people,
You quickly pick up on patterns.
You can quickly tell what’s authentic, and what’s not.
I hate to say it – but if our new AG were seeking admission to the US, I would turn her over for extensive questioning.
I’m pretty sure I could list at least one articulable fact.
I hope I’m wrong.
This nation needs to see justice in action.

This was a great motivational speech, for this particular audience!
And, notice his support for his team, including Bondi and Patel is strong, while recognising they have their work cut out for them, they have the opportunity to do something truly meaningful,…save a country.
Once again, as I watched Attorney General Bondi introduce President Trump in her prior brief remarks, she struck me as someone who totally committed to President Trump’s vision, commitment, dedication and goals for the DOJ. She greeted many of her friends throughout law-enforcement. She greeted her senators, and she extended warm compassion to the families of victims of the drug trafficking and fentanyl. She was beautiful attired, very professional. I loved her gleaming little cross and the warm heart she displays. We need the happy warrior that she is and I’m tired of the negativity that I am hearing here. President Trump is the one setting the DOJ agenda which is, as he promised in rally after rally, first the saving of American lives. With toughness and with the apprehensions all across America AG Bondi and Director Patel are carrying out the president’s directives on his timetable. He was the one who was elected not us. His entire team is truly first rate and they have my deep gratitude and full support. America was on life-support or Biden. President Trump is helping America stand up. There will be a time for all the big ugly to be revealed and taken down but we’ll have to be strong to withstand it. With President Trump’s leadership and his great team in place we will be.

In fencing, if your opponent drops their blade it means one of two things. They are highly skilled, or they are the opposite and bluffing you. I wonder if the AG is the former or the latter? I was there too Thor – one of the most enjoyable patriotic days of my life. My relatives are proud of me for attending and I am glad I went. I missed out on all the “drama” because we (my two friends and I) left before it started.
DOJ is full of lawyers. Bondi is a lawyer. Lawyers can’t do anything quickly when they have to deal with other lawyers who don’t want to move quickly. Bondi has only been on the job for a few weeks. Much too soon to expect much. Bondi needs to shut her mouth and stay off Fox News. That being said, she is by far the weakest link in the new administration.
The important work will be done by those below. If those folks are being staffed with the right people then over time we will see real action and Bondi will shine like a new penny.

What the President was talking about there should’ve been implemented on DAY ONE of her being placed into her office. Instead, we’ve heard NOTHING from her on this. One thing that struck my mind regarding the young boy who died from fentanyl thinking he was taking a percocet. Percocet is a pharmaceutical drug. Pain killers and barbiturates have been on our streets since I was a teen, and that was 60 years ago. What about the Big Pharma cartel?
Where was Bobby Kennedy Jr. today? Big Pharma is the largest drug cartel in our country. Their toxic drugs with harmful side effects have been normalized, made legal, and we even allow their ads on TV. Where is the promised announcement that MAHA has put an end to this cartel’s TV ad campaign?
We know mainstream media launder Big Pharma profits. How willing are they to air the new ads Trump spoke about, intended to discourage the use of fentanyl disguised as big pharma pills on the street? Where is the announcement about a new MAHA arm of DOJ created to assist Kennedy in the investigation of this cartel’s trafficking footprint?
This is a behemoth, and MAHA cannot pursue this without the full force of Federal Law Enforcement. Why is there silence?
Some commenters on this thread have an inordinate fascination with the way Pam Bondi dresses and walks. IMO, it would be better for them to focus on how she performs her job. All that is assuming that these commenters are not trolls, in which case they can get stuffed. I wonder whether they have the same criticisms of Alina Habba?
Ms. Bondi has only been AG for 5 weeks. In fairness, I believe she should have some months on the job to get settled into the position, learn remaining top staff personalities, organize and bring on board trusted colleagues, plan her course of action. To do otherwise she would just become a loose cannon.

No single lowest federal court level judge has the authority to shutdown the Executive Branch of Government’s mandates and the President’s Executive Orders indefinitely nor have these same judges been invested with the authority to do so nationwide.
