If the people in charge in Washington, who are presumably answerable to Trump, had the will, they could have procured all of the documents on Day One — or else expose who had destroyed or hidden them if that were the case [how would they know? – W] — then have gone through them to redact any legitimate information like victims’ names, then have sent them out the door in a twinkle of a lamb’s tail.

Yes, but when attention is paid, it is obvious and that is the task. Complaining is not sufficient; we need to participate in awakening those, who are unaware, to the backstabbers who obfuscate and cheat.
Not all races will be won; not all good options will prevail; that does not rule against the effort.
Slow progress may the best that can be done, but every step should be undertaken. Ohio in the past two elections chose the best MAGA option in the primaries, and ended up with a massive positive result in the senate. Results in the House have been very poor; at the precinct and state level, the steps are slow in progress, but there notwithstanding. The Ohio Rino establishment is very strong, and accomplished. BUT, the task is underway.
For 2026, would like to think that we can pick a handful of races with viable candidates and take out perhaps a handful of the senate Rinos. The focus would, at least to a degree, intimidate those facing the next elections, with a warning. Choose some battles where victory can be possible with enough effort and resource.

There has never been effective oversight of the NSA’s bulk collections programs, or indeed, intelligence agencies in general. There’s been a lot of noise made about this vaunted oversight in defense of programs revealed by leaked documents, but this is nothing more than a talking point.
At The Big Picture, a clip of Sen. John D. Rockefeller (then Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence) discussing how oversight actually works has been posted. It’s from an interview given in 2007, about the time the FISA Amendments Act was being put together to replace the expiring Protect America Act. The amendments act, among other things, extended the length of warrantless surveillance and gave telecoms retroactive immunity for their participation in the NSA’s bulk collections.
Here’s Sen. John D. Rockefeller explaining why, even back in 2007, intelligence agency oversight was a joke.
DAVIS: Reports quote administration officials as saying this is going on and it’s being done in a way to avoid oversight of the Intelligence Committee. Is there any way—

One of the big reveals was that silly statement she gave to the press a couple of weeks ago – the one where she looked and seemed to be ill prepared. It was the one where a handful of LEOs were standing behind her, looking awkward and, frankly, irrelevant. She was late to arrive for the scheduled announcement and seemed off balance because of it. The reveal was the statement she’d filed “charges” against NY, when in fact it was a civil complaint. “Filing charges” is criminal language. Her background is a criminal law background, so she defaulted to using standard criminal language in her announcement to the press. It was amateurish, as is her ‘you better cut it out’ type declarations in front of the camera. She seems to be more of someone in the talking head, cocktail circuit than head-down, serious ball buster AG.
Sundance, I had a thought earlier that Bondi should ask Norad to provide an “Epstein files tracker”, (ala Santa clause). That way we can all be kept up to speed on their progress. Assumably from the North Pole?

I’m taking a break from twitter. I am really too weary of all the people having emotional fits that we don’t all Trust The Plan and making pathetic excuses for Bondi. They’re the reason we can’t have nice things. They’re acting as irrational as leftists. So thankful for the non-pretending peeps here at the Treehouse, and for Sundance for not sugarcoating anything but speaking truth. Bondi is nothing more than a narrative engineer. She never even said she was releasing the Epstein files. People didn’t even listen to what she said. I can’t even.

With all due respect, it seems that CTH is descending into a daily fare of snarky reporting on every move of Pam Bondi in the Epstein coverup – a topic I think most here would agree is irrelevant to the real crises in America. I have no idea what else AG Bondi has going on, because MSM and CTH alike are so focused on the Epstein watch. How about we agree to table the Epstein saga until maybe the first indictment drops?

Upon receipt of only 200 pages of Epstein documents, anyone with a three digit IQ or without bad motives would have known many more documents were being withheld. But Bondi said for days all the Epstein documents were “on her desk”, and then with great fanfare she released the 200 documents, which had been in the public domain for a long while, before she asked about anything being missing. She is either really stupid or trying to undermine the President. And on that one, embrace the power of “and.”
