The day has finally arrived. Today is inauguration day for President Donald Trump to be sworn in at Noon as the 47th President of the United States of America.
Inauguration day is always filled with historic images and this one is going to be epic. We have all worked hard to see this day come to fruition. Our prayers are filled with thankfulness to God for his divine providence. Let us all celebrate together.
RSBN will be covering the events live all day, and we have links below to their broadcast as well as the general schedule for events that will take place throughout the day.
SCHEDULE – Monday, Jan. 20: Inauguration Day
Before the day’s ceremonies, an open, non-partisan service will be held at the St. John’s Episcopal Church in downtown D.C. After that, Donald and Melania Trump are set to head to the White House for tea with President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. Traditionally, the sitting president then escorts the incoming president to the Capitol.
♦ Around 9:30 a.m.: Live music, including Carrie Underwood’s performance of “America the Beautiful,” and opening remarks will begin on the West Lawn of the Capitol building.
♦ 12 p.m.: In line with the Constitution’s assertion that the transfer of power happens at exactly noon on Jan. 20, President Trump will take the presidential oath during the swearing-in ceremony. The swearing-in ceremony is traditionally when we should also expect President Trump to deliver his inaugural address. This year the event takes place in the Capitol Rotunda.
Things get a little confusing in sequence because President Trump previously announced. “We will open Capital One Arena on Monday for LIVE viewing of this Historic event, and to host the Presidential Parade. I will join the crowd at Capital One, after my Swearing In.”
A little after 12 p.m.: The official farewell and ceremonial departure of the former president and vice president. Typically, they leave in a helicopter.
Then comes the president’s signing room ceremony, during which the president, accompanied by aides and members of Congress, heads to the president’s room off of the Senate chamber and signs nominations, memorandums, proclamations, or executive orders.
Next is the JCCIC congressional luncheon at the Capitol’s Statuary Hall, which is attended by the president and vice president and their guests, Senate leaders and members of JCCIC.
After lunch, the new president and vice president head to the east front steps of the Capitol for the president’s review of the military troops.
Around 3 p.m.: The presidential parade normally kicks off on Pennsylvania Avenue and proceed to the White House. The procession includes ceremonial military regiments, citizens’ groups, marching bands and floats. However, this could be when President Trump heads to Capitol One Arena.
After this, President Trump returns to the White House for the Oval Office signing ceremony. Finally, President Trump and First Lady Melania will attend and deliver remarks at three separate balls: the Commander in Chief Ball, the Liberty Inaugural Ball and the Starlight Ball.

I have read that pardons have a silver lining – they mean that the person pardoned cannot legally invoke the 5th amendment (they can’t incriminate themselves for a crime for which they’ve already been pardoned.) So if Fauci testified before Congress, he couldn’t invoke the 5th, refuse to answer, or lie to Congress without risking jail time.

Yes thank you God. I was so negative and down these last 4 years. It’s not that I was constantly thinking about what was going on as I was trying to just pay attention and take care of my family and my own life. However I didn’t realize how much it affected me until I knew that he had won in the early hours after election night. I felt this incredible weight leave my chest that I had been so used to feeling that I didn’t realize how much it hurt until it was gone. I know we have battles ahead but it is because of the grace of God that we are here today celebrating this historic event. In another universe we could have been witnessing the cackling hyena being inaugurated. Thank you again Dear God that we don’t have to witness that nightmare. Although I’m glad the swearing-in ceremony was moved to the Rotunda (for security reasons, not cold), there has been so much confusion for those of us who had reserved seats on the Capitol steps (I was nine rows back). When picking up our now “commemorative” tickets, we were told the seats at the arena were filled by Congress/Senate and their families, yet many think they can just show up and get into the Capital One Arena today, but they can’t. The inauguration committee needs to get that message out to the hundreds of thousands of MAGA fans who have shown up here in DC. Plus the Capitol lawn area was closed off yesterday…just FYI.
I only had a general admission pass via email, assuming that was legit. Then I got an email about the cancellation.
Then yesterday at 11:12 a.m. I got an email about signing up for the tickets for the Cap One arena. Very poor timing for those of us who were in church, because by the time I clicked on it after church, all seats were gone.
Again, assuming it was a legit site.

If venues have been moved for security reasons, it is for the better. I have some friends who are attending and have not heard from them this morning, but they have been looking forward to the event. As have I.
Looking back over the past ten years since Trump came down the escalator, the entire control apparatus has been exposed. And Trump has exposed it. God has chosen President Trump to be His messenger for such a time as this.

I agree with you wholeheartedly! And in order for Donald Trump to be most effective, he has to assume the proper office. Today, a few minutes from now, he will become the president and chief executive officer of a British corporation in business to provide government services. In the last paragraph of the article linked above, he is being offerd the contract to become The President of The United States of America, the actual land jurisdiction government. Big difference!
You are free to disagree, but why, when instead of settling for being a president and CEO of a foreign corporation, “the” United States of America, Inc., Donald Trump could become The President of the United States of America, operating under the Constitution for the united States of America (1787)? Would that not be better for everyone?

Correct, for Carter. Some governors ordered them at full mast, notably, here in TX.
28 states will fly flags at full staff today, including CA and NY. May be more by the time of inauguration. Speaker Johnson ordered flags at the Capitol be flown at full staff too.
