Israel Update:
I was quiet for a while. With the decline of Iran and its proxies the pendulum swing in the Middle East is turning to the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood forces (Turkey, Syrian Rebels, Hamas, Qatar). To really deeply understand what is going on you must understand “What is the Muslim Brotherhood”. There were many deceptions on the subject so it took time to figure it out and present it to you. I can tell you that not many understand it so I hope this will give you an advantage when you view the area in the future. This is not only about Israel, it’s in the US and world wide too.
The Muslim Brotherhood is illegal in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE and other places and legal in the US and Israel and most of Europe. Muslim Brotherhood has representation in Israeli parliament and in the last government before this one they joined the coalition and were “the king makers”. They operate strong in the US and Europe, Hamas is a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood and ISIS and Al-Qaeda are founded in large part based on Muslim Brotherhood original writings. So what is the Muslim Brotherhood?
Ready for the dive? An understanding of any subject requires concepts of basic definitions:
Sunni Islam Vs Shia:
First of all Islam was founded in the early 600s by Muhammad who considered himself
“the last of the prophets”. He took tenets of the Bible and also created a new religion that requires a complete dedication religiously and politically. The derivation of the word “Islam” is Arabic which means “submission” (to God). Islam believes that it is the ultimate solution and guide for all aspects of life, religious, legal, political, economic, social, etc…
If you follow it, God will bless you and the nation which follows.
I will leave it here to avoid diving into the Islamic beliefs which is too long to easily describe.
Back to the point. When Muhammad died there was a struggle as to who will be the successor. Some said it should be Ali ibn Abi Talib who was Muhammad’s cousin, close friend, one of the first to accept Muhammad as a “prophet of God”, he married the daughter of Muhammed and also was known for his courage as a military leader.
Some said the successor should not be family but the best adherent who was Abu Bakr.
Abu Bakr was chosen and started the stream of the Sunni Islam.
Ali was not chosen and he cooperated and later became the Founder of the Shia stream of Islam. There are some writings saying that he was coerced to cooperate and there is an incident where violence was used and his pregnant wife lost her unborn son/daughter because of it. There starts the violent conflict between the streams of Islam.
80-85% of Muslims are Sunni and the others are Shia. There are also branches within the Shia and Sunni but this is the basic division. Shia kept a bloodline of succession (their spiritual leaders, “Imams” are suppose to be descendants of Ali), and Sunni are not a bloodline. I will again not get into the beliefs but there are differences in beliefs, holidays, etc… Iran and most of Iraq are mainly Shia. Egypt, Saudi Arabia and most of the Arab world is Sunni.
Salafi – The Salafi stream is within the Sunni religion and they believe that the first three generations of Muslims are the only pure model of Islam. They are basically Conservative Sunnis who want to reinstate the Islamic rule of the world as an imitation of the original Islam from the days of Muhammad and the first three generations.
In Arabic the word “Salaf” means “the ancient one”, here with reference to Muhammad and his companions. Salafis tend to dress or appear as the original Muslims. Men with beards and women with black clothes and face covers.
There are three branches of Salafism:
“The Purists”, who are avoiding politics and just follow strict Islam.
“The Activists”, who are political and many are members of the Muslim Brotherhood.
“The Jihadists”, who are the violent, ISIS, Al-Qaeda, etc…
While the Muslim Brotherhood does not openly support the above terror organizations, one can’t deny that the leaders of ISIS and Al Qaeda, were formerly Muslim Brotherhood people so did many of their recruits. So was the one who was considered “the mastermind of 9/11”.
Those three branches have the same goal of an Islamic world ruled by Shariah law but they have different ways of getting there. One is none violent, one is political, one is militant.
Because of the same goal many of the “political” and “purists” would either support or condone acts of violence (Jihad).
Jihad– In its literal meaning it is “a struggle” or “effort”. In one definition it is “the struggle within oneself against evil”. In another definition it is “the religious war to defend Muslims and Islam under oppression”. And the definition most known is “The war against infidels (none Muslims)”. Since “struggle” and “effort” is the derivation of “jihad” there is also what is called “Silent Jihad” which is a more patient form of arriving to the same “Islamic world”, by massive immigration, procreation, political takeover, the use of civil liberties and religious freedom of the West as means of arriving to Islamic World of Sharia Law, etc…
–The Muslim Brotherhood:
This is a massive huge worldwide Sunni Salafi movement. Unlike the Salafi that is a religious ideology, The Muslim Brotherhood is an organization with branches worldwide wide. It is a Muslim umbrella organization that covers social and charitable activities, silent jihad, political activities, religious activities, and sometimes it embraces violent jihad too.
Their motto is:“Islam is the solution”. They mean, solution for everything.
The Muslim brotherhood was formed by Hassan Al-Banna an Egyptian cleric in 1928 when he saw a need to counter the West influence on the Muslim world. Those were the times that the West had an Industrial Revolution and had a major technological and military advantage over Islamic nations. World War One ended and the West with Britain, France and others beat the Othman (Turkish) empire who were ruling the Arab world until then and they
(The West) divided the Arab nations under Western control and created new nations (like Jordan), some were under Britain, some France and Italy too. This is why Lebanon is under French influence, Jordan under British influence, Libya under Italian, Israel has a British form of government and legal system.
Muslims felt humiliated and the Muslim Brotherhood emerged in Egypt.
So remember that the goal is an Islamic World that duplicates the early generations of Islam, in law (Sharia Law), in dress, and every aspect. They have the concept that Islam solves everything, religious, social, political, legal, economic, etc…
When Nazer ruled Egypt in the 50s and 60s the Muslim Brotherhood tried to kill him in 1956 as he was left/socialist inclined and not religious. As a result he outlawed them and jailed many. One of the arrested was Saiyyd Qutb who then wrote books of how he interpret the Koran and his visions for the future. He became “The father of Salafi Jihad”.
Al Zawahiri the Deputy of Bin Laden said that “the writings of Saiyyd Qutb are the basis of the Al-Qaeda’s ideas”. Al Zawahiri was originally a Muslim Brotherhood member in Egypt. Those writings of Qutb became the foundation of Jihadi terror organizations world wide also now.
In the 50s when the Brotherhood was in trouble in Egypt many moved to Europe and their headquarters moved to Munich. Many also moved to England.
In 1964 President Nazer released the Muslim Brotherhood from prisons and in 1966 they tried to assassinate him again. In that year then, Nazer executed Saiyyd Qutb and others.
Later on in 1970 Saadat became President of Egypt and he immediately promised to integrate Shariah Law in some form. In 1979 he signs a peace treaty with Israel and this was beyond the tolerance of the Brotherhood. “The man who promised Sharia Law just signed peace with the Infidels, the Jews”. For them it’s impossible. The Jew (and Christian) can’t be equal to a Muslim. They can only be protégés (“under the guide, protection and control of a superior religion”), They must recognize their complete inferiority compares to Muslims.
They must pay special tax too. This led to the assasination of Saadat in 1981 by a Brotherhood related group.
In 2012 the Muslim Brotherhood won the elections in Egypt and was later violently toppled by General Sisi who executed many, jailed many and declared The Brotherhood “a terror organization”. The Saudis also made the Brotherhood illegal, so did the UAE and Assad of Syria and other Arab nations who are afraid of it. From the Muslim Brotherhood point of view “those who ban them are dictators who are afraid of elections and the rise of pure Islam”. Therefore there is a lot of hate towards the Saudis.
ISIS, Al Qaeda, Hamas, etc.. are heavily influenced by the writings of the Muslim Brotherhoods founders. They consider themselves “the real Muslim Brotherhood” because they act to create a Muslim world in the image of the Founding Muslims.
The words of the main founders are very radical and therefore many terrorists and their leaders are the product of Muslim Brotherhood indoctrination.
I will show a few quotations of the leaders which will give you an idea of the frame of mind:
Founder Al Banna: “Jihad has been made obligatory for every Muslim by Allah, he has laid great stress on Jihad and has promised limitless recompense for martyrs and fighters”.
Muslim Brotherhood Spiritual leader Yusuf al-Qaradawi, Dec. 17, 201011:
The Brotherhood sanctioned suicide bombings against Israeli civilians. “They do not have bombs, so they turn themselves into bombs. This is a necessity.”
Muslim Brotherhood Spiritual leader Yusuf al-Qaradawi23:
The Brotherhood remains virulently anti-Semitic. “Today the Jews are not the Israelites praised by Allah, but the descendants of the Israelites who defied His word. Allah was angry with them and turned them into monkeys and pigs….There is no doubt that the battle in which the Muslims overcome the Jews [will come]….In that battle the Muslims will fight the Jews and kill them.”

The Brotherhood glorified Osama bin Laden. Osama is “in all certainty, a mujahid (heroic fighter), and I have no doubt in his sincerity in resisting the occupation, close to Allah on high.”
Hamas was founded as the “Palestine Wing of the Muslim Brotherhood” according to their own original Charter. Later they took it out in order to be more agreeable by Saudis and Gulf States and Egypt who ban the Muslim Brotherhood. .
The list goes on and on about calls to kill Jews and to destroy the West. I will post two links at the end which are some of my sources if you want to dive. The lines are from their top leaders and founders. Not just anyone.
But my point is that while for legal reasons and to be able to operate world wide, they are not openly supporting terrorism (unless it’s against Israel). Many of their people and adherents would support terrorists individually and financially.
Sinwar, Bin Laden and his Deputy, the Leader of ISIS, now the Leader of Syria, all grew on Muslim Brotherhood texts. Their foundation traces back to the Muslim Brotherhood.
In some cases they attacked the Muslim Brotherhood publicly as “not radical enough”.
But they do identify with the Founders, especially Sayyid Qutb and some others.
Qatar has their education system completely controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood.
Qatar is a sponsor of Hamas and many Muslim organizations in the West including those who rioted in the Colleges. Al Jazeera (of Qatar) is stirring Islamic takeovers in the Arab world. This is why last week the Palestinian Authority banned them, there is a military conflict between them and Hamas and Al Jazeera were on Hamas’ side, stirring the pots.
Al Jazeera is acting as the Media Wing of Hamas in Gaza.
ISIS and other jihad organizations got many millions of dollars from private donors from the Gulf States (Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, etc…) but while Saudi Arabia and other more moderate nations have laws against it, the Qataris also have laws but choose to ignore it. ISIS had more money frozen Qataris than other nations.
Other Jihadist organizations are similar, beneficiaries of the Muslim Brotherhood’s control over Qatari education and policies.
The leader of Turkey (Erdogan), who inspires to make an Islamic World as was the old Otman Empire, is also ideologically and practically a Muslim Brotherhood adherent which explains why he hosts Hamas leaders and supported the Jihadi Revolution in Syria.
The Syrian Rebels are mainly incarnations of Al-Qaeda and ISIS and their leader is pretending to be a moderate just like the Taliban pretended moderation after the US left Afghanistan. They then implemented a strict Islamic state. Syria is likely to become a heaven of Jihadis, at the moment they are performing serious atrocities, Nazi like, against the none Sunni Allawite people who were the rulers previously.
Jordan just had a major win to the Muslim Brotherhood in Parliament. The king is freaking out that it will fall like Syria. Sisi in Egypt is also under the possibility of a Brotherhood Revolution, remember that they won elections not so long ago.
Now that the Shia Axis is disintegrating we are facing a Muslim Brotherhood empowerment and we in Israel must be prepared and so the Western World.
One must remember that it’s is clearly stated in original Brotherhood literature that one must not use violence when one is weak. But once you gain sufficient power then you can rebel.
Syria is now saying “no war against Israel”. This is for now only.
From their point of view the Islamic World is the goal and all efforts are directed to it.
Therefore the violent and none violent are aligned with the goals but not the means.
Most Muslim Organizations in the West were created by the Muslim Brotherhood directly or indirectly. There is a cultural and religious conflict with the West.

The Muslim Brotherhood were involved in the creation of the following organizations:
While most deny a direct relation, they still operate as branches of it if you see the ties, views and operations.
The mosques are the hubs of influencing the people to support the Muslim Brotherhood and its goals. If you walk into most mosques you hear preachings to an Islamic World by Sharia law replacing Western political, judicial, religious and social systems. They believe that Islam is the answer and it’s their duty to replace the existing none Islamic realities.
It’s understandable, that a religion wants to spears, but it’s in opposition to Western values in many aspects. And there is an active operation to take the West from within. There is a conflict between Sharia Law and The Constitution of the US. Complete opposites in many aspects.
I hope that this helps you to put some order and understanding as to what is going on in the Middle East but also in the World in general. It’s not only “over there”, it’s also “here” by your own home.

I am pretty sure that he is the most loved person in Israel.
Channel 12 are following his recovery and making a documentary about it. It is not done yet.
Idan is in the process of releasing a new album. He just released one song on YouTube.
It’s called : “Superman”. Exposing his entire life from beginning to now. His volubilities Vs his “Superman image”. I must spend some time and translate the comments for the song on YouTube. Many soldiers who served over a year in the war and wounded warriors were very touched by the song. It is more a story than a song.

Once the ice began to break up, Shackleton and his crew embarked on a perilous sea journey in three small lifeboats. They reached the desolate Elephant Island where they were able to take shelter. But Shackleton recognized the island would provide no rescue, so he made a dangerous 800-mile voyage in a small boat across the tumultuous southern Atlantic Ocean to South Georgia Island, where there was a whaling station.

(1864-1943)
African-American agricultural scientist (studied the peanut), dies at 81
Biography: Carver was the most famous black scientist and agriculturalist in America during his lifetime. Born into slavery he was freed after the Civil War.
He became the first African American student at the Iowa State Agricultural College before accepting a job from Booker T. Washington to teach at the Tuskegee Institute in Alabama.
Arriving in the South, Carver was appalled at the damage growing just cotton was doing to the land and the precarious existence of its farmers, especially those who were black. Carver began touring, giving lectures on soil deletion, and encouraging farmers to diversify and plant other crops. Carver became particularly famous for promoting peanut crops and products made out of them.
Carver’s fame grew, he met with and was praised for his work by three American presidents. After his death in 1943 President Franklin D. Roosevelt dedicated money for a national monument to commemorate his life, the first national monument to an African American.

I chose a short {20 page} bio on George Washington Carver.
Mr. Carver’s “Born into slavery” beginning and rise to true scientific prominence was, and to this day, still is a source of inspiration.

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. The warranty on my Frigidaire refrigerator expired 3 weeks ago. This past week the icemaker is dispensing only crushed ice. I troubleshot it and the solenoid that controls the actuator for crushed or not crushed is bad. The default setting is crushed. From my web searches this is a common problem with Frigidaire icemakers. The chineasuim OEM part is $40. A Bosch replacement is $47 and has tighter tolerances. For now I have a small block of wood holding the actuator up for non-crushed ice. It is a bad design by Frigidaire.
