We certainly were with my sister in law in Wales in spirit, with fond and undying memories of the wonderful Christmases we spent in her 15thcentury farmhouse with its thick walls, mullioned windows, and blazing fires in the fireplaces.
Especially in the dining room with its low lights, candles, Georgian and Victorian furniture. Delicious food, jovial company, and the ever present robust political discussions, always the mainstay of such gatherings….as you can tell I am still there…far away from the world for a day 💕

Lol, I couldn’t have Bangs as a little girl. My hair was way too curly. One year, just before our annual vacation to my aunts, my mom cut my hair really short. We get to my aunts and the first thing she does is finger wave my whole head. Went around for a week looking like a flapper.

Oh Corny, I so relate! I used beer cans with massive amounts of Dippity-Doo and Aquanet. Didn’t help, our morning layer of marine fog in San Diego made all my efforts null by the time I walked to school.

But no matter what your take is on the issue is, the fact is that if there was such an argument among the democrat party elites it would be settled behind closed doors and and anyone that did not toe the line would suffer politically and financially and not in the transparent manner we see it being worked out by MAGA.

Her daughter, Carrie Fischer, lost consciousness and passed out in a First Class Seat on a United Airlines transcontinental flight. In keeping with United’s cost-cutting policy to “reduce ‘unnecessary’ medical diversions”, the decision not to divert and obtain medical help in a timely manner was made.
In accordance with official UAL medical policy to not even consider a cardiac diversion until after 30 minutes of CPR had failed – at which time it would not be medically advisable because it’s too late – the flight kept on going , did not declare a medical emergency, did not get expedited handling, and bypassed several suitable medical facilities. Only shortly before reaching San Francisco did someone notice that having Carrie Fischer arrive DOA in SFO, with rigor mortis set in, might look bad. So they made a futile gesture, diverted slightly short of destination, and the body was removed without a major press presence. Still DOA – but the airline escaped scrutiny.
Several other injured persons or families of deceased have sued the airlines over the flagrant violation of Federal Aviation Regulations and ICAO standards, but thus far their shell game of consulting an outside source medical – who gets a nice contract and almost always recommends not diverting — and their fudging about Captain’s Authority (which is legally paramount, although the exercise of which will lead to dismissal) — and the airlines have managed to hide from plaintiff’s attorneys the depth of the fraud.

Now it appears there is going to be another strat warming event in late January that will bring another Arctic blast in the middle of February.
This coming blast is being forecast to penetrate deep into the south and bring the first hard freeze in the citrus belt in Florida we have seen in awhile. And Texas is going to get cold too.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. I wanna cry, a 5 dozen box of store brand eggs is now $40 when sales tax is added. Chicken is more than doubled in price but still affordable as long as it’s the local chickens. I have to buy generic mayo, it’s $3-$5 less than brand. It’s all just too crazy.
Yes – a few days ago eggs were $8/dozen at Walmart (central Oregon). I had eggs on my list, and had the money needed, but my visceral thought was simply, “I can’t…..” so I postponed getting eggs. It’s a stunning time to be alive as things keep escalating. I was reminded of that passage in Revelation 6:5, 6 where it speaks of “a day’s wages for a loaf of bread”….
And a little different thought now–I was reminded this morning that I often do not clearly realize what my expectations were until they are disappointed. Then I know clearly what I thought was going to happen. This ongoing brouhaha with Musk and Vivek is a stunning revelation in so many ways, the ripples spreading out in every direction.
I thought they would enter into their “recognized area of reponsibility” with regard to cutting government costs, and I would appreciate their work. I did not think they were being deceptive or concealing their motive or plans. I did not know that their “hill to die on” would emerge in this way. In the last 24 hours I have understood that my thinking was so far out of kilter….and I realize that I am one of those they would scorn as completely irrelevant. As nothing under their shoe. Once again, I am called a racist.
I am grateful for their actions and words in the last 48-72 hours because it allows for dis-illusionment: iow, having the illusions removed. Being dis-illusioned (made free of illusions) is so important.
So it’s ok. It’s unpleasant to feel used, abused, and deceived, but it’s a very good thing to be awakened to reality. I’m glad that Musk has told me what he really thinks of me. The deception is in the rear view mirrow now. Psalm 46 and Psalm 2 are basic. Primary. First principles for the believer.
POTUS Trump no longer has my presumed trust. I will wait to see if he makes reference or corrective to what Musk and Vivek have said to us this week.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. He will be exalted among the nations and in the earth.

It is an interesting day.
The tik tok thread is now a casualty of the H1B controversy even though that thread was well on its way to 2,000 posts before days end.
I’m afraid to work out the cost of what a dozen eggs is for me. With currently 34 young pullets and a bag of feed running a minimum of $13.00 for 50 pounds and going through a bit more than fifty pounds a week…….maybe even 75 pounds. Plus there is the daily chore of watering, feeding, letting out and putting up of the birds and gathering the eggs.
Well I’m probably going in the hole …..but the eggs go mostly but not all to my grands and their families.
Going back to the controversy its biblical to not put our trust in men. I’m waiting patiently to see how the first quarter of the new administration goes. We should know by April or May what we can expect.

President Trump making Elon and Vivek DOGE seemed very convenient and easy but somehow off. Now we know why. I have the same feeling about JD and RFK. I have the same wait and see stance.
Yes, Gramadeb50…having the dark places exposed does not need to be distressing for us. We have known that things were going to be messy and even threatening. Much of my work life was filled with my ability to identify problems, develop solutions, make a list to implement the solution, git ‘er done, and move on to the next one.
Now, well into nonworking years, I have opportunity to learn and practice being at peace even though I truly can’t fix most things, and it isn’t necessary for me to feel that I should.
I appreciate the reality that it IS possible to be at peace and continue learning. It may be chaos around us but it does not have to be chaos within us.

This is a response to JWoo’s post to me on yesterdays PT on page 1 if you want to read it my friends.
My first job out of college was doing Environmental site assessments and ironically one that punched my in the solar plexus was doing an abandoned farm assessment in the a very nearby town from PDJT’s Bedminister estate. This area when I was a kid still had some farms,farm stores, and NJ Heritage American people whose families that been their multigenerations. What had happened was between NYC people coming out to this area and buying up the farmland, and the high property taxes from a NJ Government crime cartel, all the farms went. So this farm was one of the last ones left and I remember seeing the childrens toys, the house, and outbuildings and wondering why they left, how did they leave, and what kind of memories were there. I am somewhat of an empath and detected great sadness. I can still see the horse toy the kids would play on standing there.
Another time in the next county over from Bedminister about 15 some odd years ago I stumbled onto a area off the beaten track that looked like the hand of time had stopped as the NJ Conservation foundation had purchased much of the area. There was an abandoned house that was purchased with all the toys,cars, house still standing. The point with this house was that poorer rural Heritage Americans had been forced out because of the high Liberal criminal taxes. Those people are just about non-existent in most of the Northern NJ area, a vanishing breed of Heritage Americans as those areas are mostly occupied with wealthy gentlemen fake farms, and expensive ‘rural’ mansion communities. Ty JWoo, your post reminded me a bit of myself. Hope you and your wonderful family are all doing well. Sadly I still have not gotten any dogs or cats yet. Those who love birds I cannot stress enough how great Bark Butter is. I have had a Tennessee Warbler pretty regular to my Bark Butter feeder, and besides the usual suspects, no rarities as of yet, but you never know. I do have a pair of these guys every day, but I usually do get a pair or so hang around most of the winter. They love Suet/BB
Ruby-crowned Kinglet, which are smaller than a Chickadee and their giveaway is they constantly flick their wings. One of my yard favorites.
