Tom Homan, the incoming border czar for the Trump administration, has a plan to deal with a major jurisdiction that recently doubled down on a statewide sanctuary law.
Earlier in December, the Democrat-controlled San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted to expand on a California sanctuary policy that already limits local law enforcement’s ability to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The county-wide ordinance now prohibits law enforcement from notifying ICE agents, even in cases when a foreign national has committed severe crimes such as as rape, child abuse, burglary, gang violence or other heinous acts.
Homan, who has been tasked with fulfilling President-elect Donald Trump’s promise of mass apprehensions and deportations of illegal migrants across the United States, blasted the lawmakers involved with the vote and said they can simply expect more ICE agents in their neighborhoods as a result.
“Rather than arresting an illegal alien criminal in the safety and security of a county jail where we know he doesn’t have weapons, they’re forcing ICE officers into the streets, into neighborhoods to find these people,” Homan said to the Daily Caller News Foundation. “It’s ridiculous.”
“[Sanctuary laws] make it more difficult, but it doesn’t mean we’re not going to do it,” Homan said. “It just means we’ll have more agents in San Diego because rather than one guy arresting a guy in a jail — we have to send a whole team to safely arrest a guy, so they can expect a lot more agents in that jurisdiction.”

I hope mass deportations are coming but will not assume they are until we see it happening.
The tell will be–whether the deportation emphasis is only on those who “have committed criminal acts”, either before or after to helping themselves to our national household.

My hypothesis is that they will start with the crime committing criminals who are already in jail/prison and the ones that the local PDs know about still roaming the streets. If they are living with their wives/children who are here illegally, then they will all be deported.
Once the illegals start witnessing that on a massive scale then a lot of them will voluntarily take them and their families with them.
The ones that are still refusing to budge will have their taxpayer funded benefits discontinued. We know where they are and can offer them bus service out of the USA so that they and their families can all travel safely together.
If PDJT and his Administration can cut off funding to the NGOs then that will dry up a money source. Then every department Director will be tasked with providing ICE with the addresses of those that remain.
Then they can take all of this information and direct all of the cheating state election boards and have them remove these people from their voter rolls. The locals may be able to set up their election protocols but the federal government has to oversee that they don’t disenfranchise American citizens by cheating.

Until 1 month ago and for a year before that, I could not walk 1/8 mile on level ground, without being seriously out of breath, and needing to sit down for 10 minutes to recover.
And, for the past few months, I have been “NPO” as in nothing by mouth, as nutrition, hydration and meds all had to go thru a feeding tube, surgically installed in my belly.
Any attempts to swallow water, was like a mini-waterboarding incident, where it would go down the wrong way, and I would gag and choke for half an hour.
Last nite, I was finally able to swallow water, without gagging and have repeated it several times since.
Puts things in perspective, as its true “you don’t know (or truly appreciate!) what you’ve got till its gone!”

It’s a career path for those who otherwise would be unemployable.

A great deal of empirical research speaks to the policy influence of one or another set of actors, but until recently it has not been possible to test these contrasting theoretical predictions against each other within a single statistical model. We report on an effort to do so, using a unique data set that includes measures of the key variables for 1,779 policy issues.
Multivariate analysis indicates that economic elites and organized groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on U.S. government policy, while average citizens and mass-based interest groups have little or no independent influence. The results provide substantial support for theories of Economic-Elite Domination and for theories of Biased Pluralism, but not for theories of Majoritarian Electoral Democracy or Majoritarian Pluralism.
In the United States, our findings indicate, the majority does not rule—at least not in the causal sense of actually determining policy outcomes.
When a majority of citizens disagrees with economic elites or with organized interests, they generally lose. Moreover, because of the strong status quo bias built into the U.S. political system [that describes the overwhelming influence of The Blob – W], even when fairly large majorities of Americans favor policy change, they generally do not get it.
To be sure, this does not mean that ordinary citizens always lose out; they fairly often get the policies they favor, but only because those policies happen also to be preferred by the economically-elite citizens [and their Blob – W] who wield the actual influence.
As has been made clear, DOGE is only an advisory group, with no authority, no actual power.

I can’t help but think that the Chinese have a very simple solution to people like the one who just burned somebody to death: “a bullet in the back of the brain.” Courtesy of any nearby officer’s service pistol. Let’s cut the crap on H-1b abuse: The H-1b program is in essentially every single case simple abuse, wild-eyed racism through the effective of the “caste” system into the US and destruction of the wage base .vs. the claimed purpose of the program.
In truth the H-1b garbage and the tech firms, including Elon’s, shilling for it is nothing more than the same bull**** run by the construction industry when it comes to illegal aliens putting on roofs or farmers and picking strawberries. Neither industry wants to pay Americans a living wage and so both look for ways to cut their costs and stuff the rest of the money in their pockets. Breaking the law doesn’t matter to them and yes, essentially every H-1b as currently used is breaking the law because the law requires first a diligent search for American talent at the wage said talent will accept and then, and only then you must pay more to legally use H-1bs. This is never the case, and the job-shop crap is even worse which I will go into detail on below. The so-called “tech bros” all know this, all exploit this and every single one of them should be imprisoned for suborning it, abusing Americans and foreigners alike.
If you really are an “exceptional” individual in-field you have no need for H-1b at all irrespective of your nationality; the claim that this program actually provides “exceptional” talent is a bald-faced lie that we must not tolerate in any venue.
I know multiple young men and women who, knowing my history in the tech sector from worker bee to CEO asked for my opinion on going to college and entering tech careers a decade or more ago and I warned them of the rise of this program and its abuse — and that given the cost of a degree unless they had a full ride scholarship it was quite dangerous because they could end up with quite a lot of debt and then be undercut by an Indian on an H-1b who makes a hell of a lot less and they’d have no way to possibly survive and pay down their debt on that wage.
I’m aware of more than one of said young men and women, a few of who are definitely in the top 2% on an intellectual basis (that is, Mensa material and potential future superstars) who completed highly technical degrees with high honors and then left the tech industry entirely and don’t work in it today.
Those individuals have deliberately given the finger to the American tech industries despite having the intellectual and educational chops to be top engineers and possibly discover and implement breakthroughs that would change our lives. It is only reasonable to believe they made this decision to stick up their middle fingers due to external market conditions beyond their control and H-1b abuse is a big part of it.
ll of this must end; it is wildly illegal and found everywhere in the tech industry. Those who truly are exceptional, irrespective of nation, can already come here via the existing O-1 visa program which is purely merit-based and has exactly zero “pull” capacity by job shops and others who would seek to exploit those in other lands. The existing H-1b program does that in spades and effectively has become an import of the Indian caste system into the tech industries.
That is not embodiment of American values, it is illegal under federal anti-discrimination laws, it has been increasingly exploited to drive down wages and push Americans out of tech jobs and it must be entirely ended with prejudice right here and now as it is in fact no different than exploiting illegal Mexicans to put on roofs and pluck chickens.
If Trump does not do so then his claim of intent to “Make America Great Again” is just another political LIE and YOU are going to get it further up your ass as an American for the benefit of those who are not.

I know long-term employees that Micron let go while forcing them to train the new H-1b employees that they imported.
I know someone who went back to school (and paid for it) to qualify for a job at Boeing, not knowing that she could never move up the career ladder because she wasn’t Indian, and is now doing work in the gig economy.
It’s great that “peak woke” appears to be behind us, but unless we dismantle the bureaucracies that facilitated its spread, we’ll just see the next new toxic fad take its place.

President Trump had a meeting with various ‘leaders’ in that industry back in his first term, who insisted that they needed more foreign workers.

The meeting took place during Zuckerberg’s most recent visit to Washington, where he testified before Congress about Facebook’s new cryptocurrency Libra. Zuckerberg also gave a speech at Georgetown University the week before, detailing his company’s commitment to free speech, and its resistance to calls for the company to crack down on misinformation in political advertisements.
“As is normal for a CEO of a major U.S. company, Mark accepted an invitation to have dinner with the President and First Lady at the White House,” a Facebook spokesperson said in an emailed statement.
A source familiar with the dinner told NBC News that Thiel was also present. It is unclear why the meeting was not made public or what Trump, Zuckerberg and Thiel discussed.

Thomas Massie is from Kentucky. The Republican Party in Kentucky is owned lock, stock, and barrel by Mitch McConnell. Massie is continuing an attack he started when Mike Johnson was first elected Speaker.
Johnson did not brink the massive Porkulus bill to a vote. It would have passed the House, Senate, and been signed by Joe Biden. Instead, Johnson worked with President Trump and Doge. It is likely that McConnell, Schumer and Jeffries have knives out for Johnson, and they wish to stir up momentum to get rid of him.
Mike Johnson is in an unenvious position in being perceived as a weak link in the chain of supporters of President Trump. So, many who would attack the President and his policies are starting with Johnson.
Worrying, admittedly.
Especially as this will be the Congress which has to hold the line against Democrats (and probably behind the curtain RINOs) who may attempt to undermine the certification of President Trump as the 47th President.

I know my opinions are not as informed and knowledgeable as others here, but I am going to put my view of the CR debacle out there anyway. I only know what has been reported, for what it is worth.
The whole schrade was to denigrate conservatives just like McConnell did the Tea Party and it is working great. Mitch and the gang was supposedly working on the big platter of crap for 85 days. They, supposedly, put it on the floor for a vote but did not leave it there for a day and did not vote on it. They were never going to vote on it. It was put out there to get people like screeching barn roof rooster weathervane Chief Roy to make a big deal about it. And it worked .
Like magic they had a second bill ready that was only a crap sandwich. Nobody has asked and nobody has said what was in the crap sandwich. Johnson told President Trump he had the votes to pass it with a debt ceiling increase included. President Trump went all in. 38 republicans and all democrats voted no on the cr.
Then the republicans who voted no made a deal with Johnson to pass the CR in three pieces so it would honor their pledge to do things in regular order. Johnson went to Jefferies and made a deal to pass the CR in one vote without the debt ceiling raise. The democrats all voted for it and the conservatives stood on their commitments and voted no.
What are the results. Speaker Johnson backstabbed the conservatives and President Trump. People here jumped on conservatives for not supporting President Trump. The liberal media jumped on them for voting to shut down the government. If you try to find out information about the 2024 CR, all you get is the same headline; These are the names of the republicans who voted to shut down the government. Then the Mitch gang brings out slimy Newt on the Sunday talk shows to tell these 34 republicans they ‘have to get in line’. Now the scam is everybody has to support Johnson or the election won’t get certified. It is a Mitch McConnell attack on conservatives and everybody is falling for it again.
The conservatives should stand their ground and not cave this time. Nothing happens without their vote unless the rinos continue to vote with the democrats. The conservatives should tell the rinos the conservatives are forming the line and the rinos need to fall in line behind them.
Johnson should not only not be speaker, but he should also not even be allowed to sweep the floor.
