My Mom and I started watching Eric West from Maui a few years back when my Mom asked me to find out if there was anything about the “green light” in Maui on youtube (she recalled the phenomenon from when she and my stepdad visited Maui on their trips long ago) . . . that is how we found out about Eric West and his Hawaii Real Estate channel. We got into watching Eric on a regular basis as he went around Maui, mainly on his One Wheel, making his videos of various properties . . . then as he helped promote the Maui food bank to help Maui citizens affected by the “Covid” shutdowns that hurt tourism so badly.
When the deadly fires on August 8, 2023 swept through Maui and destroyed beautiful old Lahaina Town and unknown numbers of people were trapped and many killed while trying to make their escape, Eric and other citizen journalists used their drones to capture the immediate aftermath of the fires. Very annoying to the would-be overlords.
