It was not that long ago when some people in the MAGA movement warned that Robert F Kennedy Jr could be positioning himself to maneuver his daughter-in-law into an Intelligence Community position within the Trump administration. Most people said that was crazy talk.
Apparently, there is some truth to the rumor that RFK Jr is attempting to position his daughter-in-law, Amaryllis Fox-Kennedy, as Deputy CIA Director under John Ratcliffe. Mrs Amaryllis Fox-Kennedy has been a long-term CIA case agent. Additionally, if accurate, this would be yet another Tucker Carlson guest who evolves into the Trump administration.
VIA AXIOS – Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s campaign manager and daughter-in-law Amaryllis Fox Kennedy is making a push to serve as deputy director at the CIA next year — and RFK Jr. is making calls on her behalf, Axios has learned.
Why it matters: Fox Kennedy, an integral member of Kennedy’s campaign, wrote a memoir detailing nearly a decade working at the CIA. The deputy director position does not require Senate confirmation.
President-elect Trump, who has signaled plans to try to overhaul U.S. intelligence agencies during his second term, has already named former intelligence director John Ratcliffe to lead the CIA.
The deputy position is one of the highest-profile intelligence jobs that remains open. Politico reported last month that Kash Patel, who has been tapped for FBI director, and Cliff Sims, a former Trump administration official, were jockeying for the role.
Fox Kennedy did not respond to Axios outreach for this story.
Zoom in: Fox Kennedy in 2019 published a memoir, “Life Undercover: Coming of Age in the CIA,” that provided one of the most detailed personal accounts of life in the agency.
Fox Kennedy has said she was recruited by the CIA in her early 20s, becoming one of the youngest female officers at the agency.
She said she was a “nonofficial cover,” meaning she posed as a citizen under a fake identity and had no diplomatic protections.
Between the lines: Fox Kennedy reportedly submitted the memoir to the book publisher without getting sign off from the CIA’s Publication Review Board, stirring controversy within the agency. The board is supposed to approve any material from officers before becoming public to ensure that key intelligence matters remain secret, freelance journalist Yashar Ali reported at the time. A very close friend was a contractor in the office that hired Amaryllis Fox in the Agency.
She was hired in the first flush of recruits that came in after 9/11—my friend was running the program that brought them in under unusual covers, and knew her. She was a typical hire of that time–an attractive girl with little to no useful skills (the main qualification of one of her classmates was that she was a model). Agency managers (middle-aged guys) loved to have this profile in their offices.
She published a book about her time in the CIA–without Agency review. The stories in her book of operating in Pakistan, meeting terrorists, are not credible. Her stories of training, and her cover are real. But her “operations” look to be 75% her imagination.
That she was not faced with lawsuits/arrest for publishing her CIA work without Agency review is very telling.
The Agency, when she published her book, was in its initial stage of descent into PC-Prog/Neocon Trump Derangement Syndrome, under John Brennan. They purged some who had publicly criticized Brennan and his actions as Obama’s Terrorism Czar. They were in the planning stages and early operational phases of the inter-agency scam now known as Russiagate. The fact that Fox was not pursued by the Agency after publishing her book tells us that she is politically protected, likely because of her political affiliations/beliefs, also probably because of her protected sex.
In 2008, another CIA NOC officer published a book about the Agency’s NOC program, without also without Agency review, a scathing review of the Agency’s management and dysfunction:

The NOC, who used the pseudonym Ishmael Jones, fought years of legal battles with the CIA, until in 2012, courts found against him, and the CIA seized all the proceeds from Jones’ book.

The CIA accused the officer of breaking his secrecy agreement with the U.S. The former officer, who worked deep undercover, published the book in July 2008 using the pseudonym “Ishmael Jones.”
So, there is recent precedent to show that the Agency will pursue and punish former officers who step around review requirements. Yet, Fox parades around the globe, babbling her ludicrous claims to be “Jenny Bond,” and faces no consequences. Clearly a political darling of the Brennan crowd. Absolutely NOT MAGA, nor anything even close.
Fox should not be allowed within a thousand miles of anything President Trump or his administration deals with, whether intelligence or any other issue.

As a CIA case officer, I dealt with people of dubious backgrounds, making outrageous claims, in search of solutions to their problems. I had to assess their personalities, motivations, and the basics of their story. Were they who they said they were? Did they have access to what they claimed?
This process relied on my street smarts, people skills, and assessment abilities. I was successful, because I ran operations like a business — with results required.
Meeting and developing a relationship with a potential espionage agent requires the same care as recruiting a computational linguist for a Silicon Valley start-up, but the stakes are much higher. Not in monetary terms, but for the security of our country. Lives are at stake.
Placing a candidate who lies about his education with a commercial client would damage both my pocketbook and my reputation. Recruiting an espionage agent who works for an enemy intelligence service could be deadly.
The consequences of faulty vetting can be devastating — seven CIA employees paid with their lives in December 2010 when a “vetted” candidate killed himself and his CIA case officer in Afghanistan.
Assessing personalities and detecting deception are two skills that have been profitable — monetarily, and in fighting terrorists and enemies. Vetting and validation of candidates is a difficult and unrewarding process. But on-going vetting and validation of the bona fides of candidates is a must, if you are serious about your reputation, or the security of your country.
Vetting candidates for political office makes vetting espionage agents, or dot-com engineers, look like child’s play. The damage a liar or enemy infiltrator can do to our country is potentially astronomical.
In the 2010 congressional elections, I vetted a tea party candidate without his cooperation. The issues I identified should have disqualified him. Besides lying about his degree, and exaggerating his work in the private sector, there were unanswered questions with the candidate’s long record of military service. As is typical with those caught covering up the truth, the candidate went on the attack.
The stakes for vetting a candidate for president of the United States make any other kind of vetting work seem silly. If a liar, or faker, or cheat was to make it into the White House our constitutional system could be at risk.

The obvious answer is that not only was Fox’s book approved but she was probably asked to write it and aided in doing so. CIA knows that the public wants to know what is really going on and publishing books that are either misleading or don’t matter is part of the disinfo war.
