No reasonable person who looks at the facts of the Jan 6th cases can reach any other conclusion than that these individuals were singled out only because they were supporters of my campaign, baited deliberately and then framed – and that is wrong. These political, tin-pot dictatorial abuses of power have continued for four years and there’s no reason to believe it will stop here. Enough is enough.
For my entire career I have followed a simple principle: just tell the American people the truth. They’ll be fair-minded. Here’s the truth: I believe in the justice system, but as I have wrestled with this, I also believe raw politics has infected this process and it led to a miscarriage of justice – and once I made this decision this weekend, there was no sense in delaying it further. #BREAKING: The North Carolina Senate, controlled by Republicans, just overrode the Democratic governor’s veto of an election integrity law in a major power move.
When passed, it will ban the incoming Democratic governor from having control over the State Board of Elections… and hands that control to the Republican Auditor-elect Dave Boliek.
The law will constrict the powers of other state Democratic officials in dealing with election (and other) matters, such as:
– Removes the (blue) Wake and Forsyth County Superior Court judges’ seats. These judges have ruled against GOP election efforts.
– Barring the attorney general (D) from participating in lawsuits undermining actions taken by the GOP General Assembly
– Vacant Supreme Court seats must be filled from a list of recommendations by the party of whichever justice retires

Let’s look at that plea deal and associated diversion agreement.
The Diversion Agreement states the United States agrees not to criminally prosecute Biden outside of the terms of this agreement for any federal crimes encompassed by the attached statement of facts, Attachment A to the Diversion Agreement, and the statement of facts attached as Exhibit 1 to the Memorandum of Plea Agreement. (paragraph 15 of the Diversion Agreement)
The diversion agreement contains an agreement not to prosecute crimes that are unrelated to the felony gun charge and misdemeanor tax charges being diverted, namely possession and use of crack and powder cocaine.
The diversion agreement also references Exhibit 1 attached to the Memorandum of Plea Agreement which lists his millions of dollars received from “a Ukrainian energy company and a Chinese private equity fund”. Any associated crimes would also not be prosecuted.
Contrary to Joe Biden’s claim this incredibly broad agreement is not “a fair, reasonable resolution” which is why it collapsed in court.

Joe Biden is not basing his pardon of Hunter’s gun and tax violations on a claim that Hunter is innocent, he bases it on the claim that Hunter was “singled out only because he is my son”

According to the plea and diversion agreements Hunter’s crimes were: October 2016 – May 2019 crack & powder cocaine; October 2018 illegal gun purchase; 2018 Failure to pay 2017 taxes; 2019 Failure to pay 2018 taxes
The pardon goes well beyond those crimes however.
Joe Biden has given Hunter “a full and unconditional pardon for those offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024”
If this were a credible pardon it would be confined to the tax and gun charges, possibly even drug charges. But it’s not. Why?

In a surprising legal move, special counsel David Weiss filed a motion in the California federal court where Hunter Biden’s tax case is being conducted, calling on the judge not to dismiss the charges following President Joe Biden’s pardon that was announced on Sunday.
Biden’s pardon covers the period from Jan. 1, 2014 to Dec. 1, 2024. That time frame includes Hunter’s jury-trial convictions in June for lying on a federal form about his drug use when he purchased a handgun. It also covers his September conviction on nine charges related to his failure to pay at least $1.4 million in taxes from 2016 through 2019.
Hunter faced a maximum of 17 years in prison for his tax offenses.
“The charges in his cases came about only after several of my political opponents in Congress instigated them to attack me and oppose my election,” Biden claimed in a statement accompanying his pardon announcement
In a Monday court filing in a federal district court in California, Weiss wrote, “There was none and never has been any evidence of vindictive or selective prosecution in this case.”

Well now, this is interesting!
Weiss is gaslighting us, and setting up a scenario to pull this crap on President Trump if Biden issues him a fake pardon. Hunter was found guilty and was to be sentenced, so the grand jury indictment is moot at this point. It’s the guilty verdict that matters and shouldn’t be wiped away. But since President Trump never went to trial, let alone be convicted, why should a grand jury’s indictment of him not be wiped away? Many people are indicted and found not guilty, or even have had their cases dismissed, as has Trump in the Florida documents case.
This guy Weiss is dirty, as we found out when he almost let Hunter off the hook before a judge stopped that crap in its tracks.
