Apparently the widely circulated rumor of Kelly Loeffler for the job was wrong; or, there was a change of plan. Regardless, President Trump has just announced Brooke Rollins as the nominee for Secretary of Agriculture.

Brooke Rollins served as director of the Office of American Innovation and acting director of the Domestic Policy Council during the first Trump administration. After leaving the administration Rollins co-founded the America First Policy Institute think tank and was the President and CEO of the organization.
Mrs Rollins will predictably play a vital role in protection and support of American farmers as President Trump confronts the global world of trade and tariffs.
I take this is a good pick for farmers and Agg. Hopefully we’ll see some of the monopolies over seeds and crops broken and dissipated. American Farmers First!
Don’t hold your breath waiting for those things to happen. Remember there are trillions at stake.
That is the first thing that came into my mind with how this appointment was handled. Great pick and catch the leaker at the same time!
Good to see this; if he had nominated Rep. Massie that would have been one less vote in the House for the things that need to be passed to get the incoming President’s agenda in place.

Rumours are just like polls. They are used to shape opinion, not to reflect reality.
Those rumors are trial balloons. You have to sound off.
Next up, is whether or not Thomas Massie runs for McConnell’s seat. He’ll need a lot of money, and he has to have the desire to do it. My guess is McConnell will put up Daniel Cameron to face Massie. Rand will endorse Massie. We’ll see.
I’m going to assume the absence of any bad news on Ms. Rollins as good news. Innocent until proven Guilty!

Loeffler was very squishy after President Trump went down to Georgia to rally in support of her in her run-off election. She was noncommittal about the stolen election. Good riddance to Mitch McConnell’s protege.

Finally one of us! As an Okie small rancher/farmer it’s refreshing to see someone that’s been on the ground doing the work we do in a position to help us feed the country and ourselves. We have not been able to fertilize hay crops for our cattle or put weed killer on grazing pasture for 4 years.
