According to NBC, DOJ Lawfare operatives and FBI agents within the corrupt and weaponized silos, are calling their friends for legal assistance and protection against investigations of their past activity.
It is easy to see how DOJ-NSD officials would be worried, particularly given the nature of how Deputy AG Lisa Monaco organized them over the past four years to continue Lawfare efforts against President Trump. Perhaps one name, Mary McCord, should be concerned a little more than most.
Additionally, the FBI agents who participated in the witch hunts against President Trump and his allies are also concerned. Both groups now reaching out to lawyers proactively evaluating their risk against the backdrop of demonstrably corrupt and illegal activity.
In short, the article outlines how they were nervous before, but they are extremely worried now that Matt Gaetz has been nominated as Attorney General. Many of them planning to exit quickly and take a low-profile position.
.
WASHINGTON DC – Multiple current and former senior Justice Department and FBI officials have begun reaching out to lawyers in anticipation of being criminally investigated by the Trump administration, according to three people with knowledge of their deliberations.
Following Trump’s decisive election victory, many Justice Department officials and career staffers were already nervous about the possibility that they would be targeted by Trump loyalists, particularly members of Congress. But the selection of former Rep. Matt Gaetz, a firebrand Trump ally who was the subject of a recent FBI investigation, to lead the department has sharply increased the sense of alarm, the sources said.
“Everything we did was aboveboard,” said a former senior FBI official who has started contacting lawyers because he expects to be prosecuted himself. “But this is a different world.”
The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity out of fear of becoming even more of a target, doesn’t believe any attempt to prosecute him will be successful. Judges and juries have the power to throw out cases or find defendants innocent if they deem prosecutions to be baseless.
But like many other current and former Justice Department officials, he is bracing for a potentially long and costly legal battle, as well as the possibility of protracted congressional investigations, after Trump takes office in January.
Career FBI employees are especially vulnerable, the official added. Since they make less money than they would in the private sector, they rely on the pensions they receive after 20 years. (read more)

“But, but, but, I was just following orders.”
Didn’t work at Nuremberg won’t work here.
What is the old cliche’? “You can run, but you can’t hide”.
I have 0 sympathy for these crooks. I hope they experience what they have put countless patriots through. I hope they reap what they have sown!
My Uncle, a circuit Judge, told me an old courthouse bromide.
“Everyone is innocent until proven broke.”
This is the best we can hope for, for all of these goons.
They may not go to prison, but they are not billionaires, so they most likely will go to the poorhouse.
IMESHO, unfortunately, that statement is what many prosecutors live by.
Near the end of my 25 year legal career I did some criminal defense work. Your statement is true. Plus I would change many to most.
This is all in Gods hands. Do not fear!
Give them a taste of their own medicine. J6 all of them. Put them in jail while their cases are being reviewed/developed. Note any grand juries or trials should be held in conservative states with like jurors and judges.
As a naive foreigner can some wise person explain what is this “grand jury” thing.
Is it like the Soviet secret trials under Stalin where the poor wretches “confessed ” their crimes before being executed.
Moron!
Huh?
I too am a foreigner ( Canada now) but born near where P.H. golfs.
IMO Grand Jury things are like secret trials…was there not one where President Trump was not allowed to bring his witnesses forward.
Geesh!
No, he’s a Brit.
Patrick, a Grand Jury is a secret convening of a citizen jury which prosecutors attempt to persuade to vote that charges should be brought against someone, the someone has neither knowledge of the proceeding nor representation of any sort, a vote for charges gets someone arrested and taken to a “real” court.
It is commonly said that a Grand Jury would indict a ham sandwich.
Based on the available evidence and instructions from the judge, the grand jury which consists of eligible voters, decide whether or not the case can proceed to a trial.
Technically, the grand jury decides whether there are sufficient facts alleged by the prosecution under the available law to support bringing any felony charges at all against a defendant.
The secrecy is supposed to be a protection for the falsely or insufficiently accused.
Except the DA will almost always pack the grand jury with emotional female types in order to indict those whom they deem indictable for whatever reason.
Female “types.” Heh
In Trump cases the information was leaked or the grand jury foreman went on tv telling all.
He was innocent but was subjected to lawfare corupt prosecuters, lawyers and judges.😡
I too am a foreigner.
Who is the prosecution, government or civil. Because if they have to get a jury to decide if there are sufficient facts it seems to imply that the prosecutors are not confident that they themselves have, so why don’t they investigate more or leave the targeted person alone.
You’re making sense. Too much (lately) of so-called Law does not make sense.
Decides whether or not there is enough evidence to proceed to a trial.
It is an investigating jury convened by a prosecutor to hear testimony and review evidence in secret. Some investigations, like organized crime or espionage need to be done this way. The grand jury votes on an indictment, the list of charges. It usually votes how the prosecutor wants, but can refuse.
When the indictment is made public, then the case proceeds to a public trial, with a new jury.
Not all cases start this way. Sometimes there’s an arrest, and a public filing of charges.
Yes! A GJ is 24 jurors who function in secret to determine if “probable cause” exists to charge a crime. Witnesses are compelled to testify and produce evidence. The person being charged is not compelled to testify, however.
The defendant is never compelled to testify. At least so far. Amendment 5 if I am not mistaken.
The grand jury could be considered a sort of pre-trial trial, where the prosecutors present their evidence to a jury of citizens to confirm that sufficient evidence exist to move forward with an arrest, prosecution, and potentially a conviction. While this might seem at first to be either a bit of an excess, or maybe a portal to nefarious activities due to it being conducted behind closed doors, it turns out to be the opposite. By placing their case in front of a grand jury first, the prosecutors must have a solid case, and not one based on speculation. Also, in these cases there is often evidence submitted that might involve innocent persons unknowingly close to the suspect. By sorting through the evidence via grand jury these innocent persons can be separated out, sparing them from unnecessary publicity that could otherwise be harmful to them.
No it like a j6 judge who is not corrupt and allows the fbi scum to finally come to justice.

All democrats are criminals.
They {D} are absolutely liable for libel…
And libel in furtherance to aid and abet the enemy domestic…
Is known as treason.
Trust God. Fear not.
“Everything we did was aboveboard,” said a former senior FBI official who has started contacting lawyers because he expects to be prosecuted.”
.
The contradiction in this sentence is as delicious as they/their convictions will be.
Seriously. A reasonable person might expect a “senior FBI official” to know something about the law. If what they did was above board and lawful, why would the same person then expect to be prosecuted?
A reasonable person might also expect anyone calling themselves a journalist to ask that question.
They’re “baffled”, just absolutely baffled about what they could possibly be prosecuted for. Righto. Thats why they’re just throwing away money this article claims they have little of, to do what? Ask a lawyer to review every “aboveboard” thing they’ve done in their careers? That sounds a little expensive. No, these people know PRECISELY where they crossed the line and they want help strategizing about how to get rid of the evidence, asking how to gather proof to show they were just following orders, or whether to beat others to a plea deal by becoming whistleblowers and throwing someone else under the bus.
Funny how none of these criminals thought about the “cost” to their victims of ‘illegal’, and morally reprehensible investigations, and prosecutions. Now that the tables are turned they are a bunch of whiny little a$$holes! “Oh please. please, don’t do to me what I did to you!” Good for the goose, good for the gander.
.
They never do. One of my beefs about judges is that they don’t consider the time and expense that, e.g., completely innocent witnesses occur, never mind killing a lawyer’s morning waiting around for a five-minute motion calendar.
In the past, I’ve represented a few completely innocent witnesses called by the FBI on some or other investigation mostly unrelated to them, and because it’s a crime to lie to the fibs, these winesses had to hire a lawyer. Not everyone has perfect recall of dates or places or doesn’t misspeak out of nervousness when being interrogated, er, “interviewed” by suspicious investigators.
.
The problem is that there is no way that the deck isn’t stacked in Washington DC. DC judges and DC juries wouldn’t find any of them guilty and they would snicker while doing it. They should be prosecuted in rural West Virginia or rural Pennsylvania where there might be a jury pool that is harder to bribe and a little more skeptical of government overreach.
The DC and NY courts need to be cleaned up and cleaned out.
Idaho, Wyoming, or pretty much any place that isn’t a major metro area.
In the name of J6 defendants, defendants in the Georgia and Florida federal lawfare cases, Navarro and Bannon, I hope the legal process drives them nuts and bankrupt.
All we demand is justice.
If this works like it should the corned rats will start ratting each other out…..the guilty run when there is no one chasing them.
“The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity out of fear of becoming even more of a target, doesn’t believe any attempt to prosecute him will be successful.”
As they well know, the process is the punishment.
👆👆👆 THIS POST SHOULD BE HIGHLIGHTED AND REFERENCED FREQUENTLY! 👆👆👆
”The process is the punishment.”
Gaetz needs to go after them all like a pit bull with a hot poker up its butt!
Love it 🥰😂😂😂😂
“…………with a hot poker up
itsTHEIR butt!fixed it for you………..
Release the kracken!!!
They should be concerned whether Gaetz is AG or NOT!
Blanche and Bove, the new DOJ appointees, are the ones that the FBI/DOJ are worried about. Both have considerable experience in federal investigation and prosecution.
Plus they know where the skeletons are buried and who buried them!
They should leave now and not come back.. these people are such liars.. only the fed has offered any pension in the last 25 years and it’s a very lucrative plan with little or no real participation involved by the receiver.. as for less pay that the private sector I call bullshyt.. A $10 per hour benefit package and 10-14 less hours per month worked is a whole lot more than the private sector.. I don’t want to hear about their pitty party
Take no prisoners.
Give no quarter.
More inmates for Gitmo! I’d love to see mary mccord and monaco get thrown into Gitmo and fed to the hungry males there.
Ick?
This might be THE best thing I’ve read ALL DAY !!! Thank you SunDance !!
Seditious Conspiracy:
18 US Code 2384: If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both. (link)
“Everything we did was aboveboard,”
Then why worry? 🤷♂️
‘Cuz they’re lying?
I predict that the theories of prosecution directed at DoJ, FBI, Weissman, Monaco et. al. will be very easy for the public to understand, and difficult for the media whores to spin. Hence the rush to lawyer up now.
I further predict that other theories of prosecution against the likes of Pfizer, Fauci et. al. for Covid crimes will easily pierce the PREP Act’s so-called protections.
Both potential prosecutions will NOT need contortions of law used by Jack Smith, Alvin Bragg, Fanny Willis and Letitia James against President Trump. They will be simple, clever and devastating.
A message to potential defendants: He who makes the first deal makes the best deal.
The volume and variety of crimes that will be exposed will be like an enema (I imagine.)
The average citizen has had NO IDEA how thoroughly corrupt and evil has been this cabal.
If each day a new more depraved revelation is presented by dozens of congresspeople surrounding the mike…
Well, it’ll be a new day.
Sensory overload perhaps.
Start with the really big stuff.
Their new career mantra: “Want Lies with That?”
If there is no accountability, it will never end. “Draining the swamp” means prosecutions and long jail terms for everyone, no matter how high up. The only way to extract the corruption in our government is to send the message that if you engage in this corruption, you go to jail for decades, or for life. My preference is the death penalty, as it would send a message like nothing else could. These people have tried to destroy America. No penalty is too harsh. The list of people to prosecute is long, but Ozero needs to be number one in my book, and his penalty should be the most severe.
If Pence is overlooked then justice has not been served.
Pence is too pathetic a figure. His punishment won’t resonate.
Save him for the 10,000th case.
Waiting/dreading his turn would be part of the punishment.
I’m for taking out Clapper and Brennan and McCord first.
Life in prison, or an Epstein tourniquet if you prefer.
These are biggies and their crimes were treasonous, as treason is defined.
If they take themselves out of the DOJ/FBI, less work for MAGA to do to remove them. However, some of them need to be brought up on charges for their wretched behavior.
@JackPosobiec
Look at this Now the CIA’s man at WaPo David Ignatius is on Morning Joe urging Trump not to pick Tulsi Gabbard David is *terrified* Tulsi will declassify who illegally leaked Gen Flynn’s name to him in 2017
https://x.com/JackPosobiec/status/1858526096762777798#m
Morning Joe is now the public place of morning confession? The poor person who will be assigned to watch the lib tv shows to see who’s confessing publicly. This is great!
““Everything we did was aboveboard,” said a former senior FBI official who has started contacting lawyers because he expects to be prosecuted himself. “But this is a different world.””
People doing their jobs lawfully do not need to run to the media to declare this as much as I have seen in the past several days.
Particularly anyone at FBI described as “senior”.
Ya know…
.
We should all compliment Sundance…
…on his restraint in posting about this topic.
Few here would be more aggravated and desiring to see the hammer of justice come down on so many bent nails as he.
Using an analogy, imagine if he were to learn a hurricane that caused widespread devastation and homelessness was actually created and controlled by a group within the DoJ and FBI.
The unexpressed fury behind the keyboard here, compared to the restraint exercised, is impressive indeed!
.
To Sundance-
My sincere compliments, sir.
And now, all through the sacred halls of the Hoover building, amidst the cries and sobs and gnashing of teeth, we hear echos of those words wailed out in agony just eight short years ago: “SHE WASN’T SUPPOSED TO LOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSE!!!!!!!
“Fix this sh!t or we’ll all hang”.
-The Seahag.
When it is deemed not possible for a defendant to receive a fair trial in an area where their crimes received too much publicity, the jurisdiction is changed.
I do not understand why these people should be tried anywhere near the environs of Washington DC by these corrupt judges and corrupt juries.
Move the trials to mainland America, the deep red heart of America and then see how these people squeal!
Need more cowbell…
After doing shit like that, your profile will never be low.
I want President Trump to beat his chest like an angry gorilla as he tears the deep state apart limb to limb.
Oh, cry me a river!!!
SPIT!!!
Jesus said it best “You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to h..l?”
Matthew 23:33
MSNBC feels it’s newsworthy to tell us that a senior FBI official, who expects to be prosecuted, claims, “Everything we did was aboveboard!” but MSNBC doesn’t tell us why the official expects to be prosecuted since everything he did was aboveboard.
More stellar reporting follows as the official who didn’t do anything wrong but expects to be prosecuted for it doesn’t believe he’ll be found guilty…presumably of what he didn’t do.
MSNBC then feels obliged to add that, “ Judges and juries have the power to throw out cases or find defendants innocent if they deem prosecutions to be baseless.”
Really, MSNBC?
Do judges and juries also have the power to deliver guilty verdicts if they deem the prosecutions to be well-founded?
Inquiring minds want to know!
Imagine the circular thinking that you were the morally correct, and then realizing you were the criminal. The panic and fear must be unbearable.
you should have thought of that before you messed with the American people. when they went after Trump, they went after us. We’re pissed. You want forgiveness, get religion. Run for your lives.
Search an destroy mission if Matt Gaetz becomes atty general he will be like general sherman.
No prisoners will be taken in fbi.
These fbi scum fear the reaper.😡
Sherman was given permission to war.
Sherman won the war. Grant gets much of the credit.
Trump has given Gaetz permission to war. (Not that Gaetz needed permission….but he did need a post.)
They best be leaving the country cuz we coming for them, and sh-t is easily smelled out. Time to arrest them ALL. Especially the top echelon, time for Nuremberg trials.
“The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity out of fear of becoming even more of a target, doesn’t believe any attempt to prosecute him will be successful. Judges and juries have the power to throw out cases or find defendants innocent if they deem prosecutions to be baseless.” (excerpt from linked article)
I suppose that’s Peter Strok they’re quoting.
All the cases will need to be filed outside of DC. Fire all US attorneys. Clinton fired 93/94 Everything related to PT should be filed in FL. He will need to do a full and clean sweep.
He keeps promising he will do this and that on day 1. I’m beginning to think it’ll be done in his inauguration speech! What a blow out that would be!
Psalm 94, verse 23
Will these be the same lawyers the FBI personnel are reaching out to that used their law licenses to go after the lawyers who were defending the targeted Trump Administration people?
And, will the Trump Administration go after those lawyers for defending the FBI personnel?
Will these be the same lawyers that defended the J6 political prisoners?
Will these same lawyers who defended the J6 political prisoners be as bad for their new clients as they were for those victims of lawfare?
Why would any honest, hard working person want to get a lawyer if there is a change in management of his employer – unless he or she is guilty of mischief or worse? I cannot see President Trump wanting to get rid of any hard working and patriotic workers. Perhaps those looking for lawyers are neither?
Ecclesiastes 8:11 KJV
Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
I wish I would have thought of this one earlier.
Let’s see some FBI agents flip on the DOJ lawyers.
F these crap weasels
Alligator tears for all the turncoats!
Zero sympathy.
Remember during the Nuremburg trials, the excuse of doing what you are told didn’t hold water. And it doesn’t now.
None of us regular people are looking forward to a cushy pension. We didn’t sell our souls to the devil for financial gain.
We didn’t arrest, confine, harrass, spy on, ruin, torture, or other wise make other people’s lives miserable. We minded our own business.
You reap what you sow guys and gals.
If everything was “above board” they should have nothing to worry about, right?
I hate to admit this but I am loving this. They too should feel what they inflicted. The fear hanging over their heads of being charged with whatever. The possibility of ending up broke from legal fees. Public humiliation.
Don’t care if they go to jail, all of the above will be sufficient. The process is in fact the punishment.
Convicting all involved would be a good start.
So they are now admitting they were breaking the law. That is good enough for the AG to prosecute them- in the office or not.
So the same jury pool exists in D.C. that has sent Hundreds of their political enemies to jail. Why do we think this same jury pool will now decide to prosecute their team of corrupt attorneys and their various minions in FBI, CIA, and DOJ?
Can these trials be moved out of D.C. or must they be adjudicated in the State the crimes were committed?
