President Donald Trump announced tonight that Karoline Leavitt, the 27-year-old campaign press secretary, will serve as White House press secretary for his administration. Ms. Leavitt becomes the youngest person ever to hold the position of WH Press Secretary.

DeSantis played a role in helping to convince many to accept Trump. This is America and we have elections to weed out those we don’t want or those who need more time to mature for the office of President…..that is, unless a coup is launched by voter fraud or power hungry cats like Obama and Pelosi. I imagine 4 years where CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC and CBS get to ask all the questions they want and the Press Secretary responds in a way that shows them for the fools they are! Not inviting them supports cancel culture, and I’d say we’ve seen enough of that already. I prefer the “do unto others as you would have them do unto you” approach. At the same time, I’m also a big fan of Bongino’s “Own the Libs” approach. Invite them but make them wish they hadn’t asked such stupid questions!
I’m not so sure about Karoline Leavitt. Being clear thinking and speaking is necessary along with an artful style i.e. a little polish (Sarah Huckabee and Kayleigh McEnany are a good examples), but a recent comment by her revealed too much coarse hostility to me. Exactly what we don’t need in that very public role.

I would normally agree about “coarseness”, but we can’t have a very intelligent young woman who is overly concerned with decorum and being ladylike in that job either.

She seems to be an exceptionally self-possessed young woman, who obviously knew from high school that she wanted to be in DC, like many people who work there. Time will tell whether she was a good choice, but in general, I’m very happy to see PT’s move toward younger appointments. It speaks to his own self-confidence, and should promote assurance in younger conservatives that there is a place for them in MAGA. I read recently that Nancy Pelosi has decided to run again. She’ll be 86 when she takes office! Enough.

I would like to see the structure of these press conferences, change drastically: no more in-house press; all questions presented in writing; answered by the press secretary at the podium or back in writing; press conferences presenting someone to inform the public on a current situation in the world or the United States.

This woman is well equipped for the job. I saw her only once recently and she decimated the MSM interviewer in a rapid fire staccato delivery unmatched by anyone I have ever seen speaking in “defense” of POTUS ( in a 2-3 min. interview ) and seemingly without even taking in a breath.
This Leavitt lady is fierce. Not “too young” as some have suggested. She’ll do just fine.
