Today is Veterans Day. However, as you know at CTH we honor those who serve our nation in military uniform every day.
We also honor their service and their mission to protect our nation, in the way we refuse to allow corrupt government interests to hide. Our veterans, like the American people, deserve better.
Thank you to all our Veterans. We appreciate you.

My adult daughter in Colorado no longer speaks to me-because of Trump and Covid.
But she did send a text to her Step Dad today- thanking him for his service. He turned to me , with a little smile and said “She always sends me this”.
I continue to pray for God’s help that we are able to reconcile. It is God’s will , not mine.
Praying for that reconciliation…that annual text shows she still has a heart.
I’ve got a daughter who hasn’t spoken to me in almost 3 years. She’s 24. Sadly to me, that annual text sounds more like a narcissist move to get at mom than sincerity toward step dad. This younger generation has really been brainwashed
Kathleen,
I pray that your reconciliation will be fulfilled and love will prevail.
How very sad.
Yes, continue to pray for God’s help….then rest in the knowledge that He hears you.
Kathleenb, don’t ever give up on your daughter. Keep praying! God will reconcile you both in his time!
I’ve got a son in Illinois that doesn’t speak to me because I won’t take the jab and I support president Trump.
My younger son is a big fan of PDJT and doesn’t believe in the jab. Lol
Illinois was seriously brainwashed. I am so sorry for you. I am in IL and life has gone on. Praying for his change of heart.
Great video
Sorry to hear this. I have a brilliant 35yo dgtr who became propagandized in HS, probably college too. Right under our conservative noses. We went through a year of “no speak” and it was difficult for the both of us as I found out later. We no longer speak politics. Hang in there, I wish you the best. And, it is NOT God’s will, but belongs to you and your daughter.
My sister-in-law, who very nearly destroyed our extended family during COVID over her extreme mask-and-vaxx attitude, sent me a note today. I can’t respond. I had to leave the military over the vaxx mandate (I was breastfeeding a colicky baby at the time, no exemptions allowed) and she knows it, and she’s never acknowledged it. I don’t even know how to deal with her anymore. We’ve barely spoken in the past four years.
I’m so sorry about your daughter. It’s awful what the COVID media messaging did to people.
The absolute refusal to exclude pregnant and nursing mothers, babies and children from mandates is the singular most evil aspect of the whole thing.
I too was cut off from all communication with my daughter-who has since ‘transitioned’-and I have always felt it was a brutal dig every text, card, gift and phone call with my husband and pointed ignoring I exist…it has been hard to swallow this betrayal, albeit I recognize it is a brain washing/woke virus coupled with trauma that enabled this behavior to a child with identity and trust issues. I cannot fathom anything other than the hand of God bringing trust and love back to our relationship. My husband offers little information and I have painfully learned that he will never ‘get’ exactly what I am going through-nor can he ‘choose’ any of us/or a side and win this uncivil war. I pray, I have wept, almost divorced over, and slept in my car homeless for two nights to come to realization that nothing matters to me more than my faith, my family matters over any political issue and apparently I am the lone voice of loyalty and grace in my family. It is heartbeaking to live this….prayers to any and all who are.
Your husband’s “side” that he must chose is you, his wife.
Your husband did not marry his daughter, he married you, his wife.
Your husband did not promise to love, honor and cherish his daughter, he promised to do those things for you, his wife.
God knows parents love their children, but He made you and your husband one. God knows children grow-up and leave and are not supposed to cleave to their parents.
Your husband is supposed to love you like Christ loves the church. If he does not, if he is not, he is sinning.
I pray for you, your peace, and for the Lord to draw your husband into a right relationship with Him — and you, his wife.
Taylor, I will keep you in prayer That your husband does not stand with you on this is something he will have to answer for. Raven is right on that. May God grant you peace and strength.
3.5 years estranged and now! Reconciled to all family (she just needs to rediscover her Savior now). Hope!!!!
yes, hope and prayer..a calm to the natural body so that the supernatural SPIRIT that dwells in EACH AND EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US can stand up and speak…literally.
noting: the founders were not coincidentally debating and exchanging ideas about this nation wrt to free speech and also the necessity that the society be Christian obedient to God. They understood from experience that great things far above and beyond the terms of a human being could be achieved and then realized when we speak about our faith and the hope for fulfillment.
GOD WILL NEVER ABANDON THE RIGHTEOUS.
fact. you can depend on faith and hope. You have assurances that your prayers are heard..every single one.
it helps to say them out loud…loud is good. clear and loud.
Here is the simple one:
God I need your help. Here is what I need from you. Here is my sacrifice…
see to get something we must be willing to give up something we KNOW is stoppping our success.
it might be liquor. It might be cigarettes. It might be vanity and overspending…it might be unwillingness to give to the needy…it might be to not use the extra time in our lives to make someone feel loved.
sacrifice. It is good to think and do these things. God responds to those who are ALL IN.
go ALL IN.
God Bless America
this really hits hard and it personal…
I am praying especially for y0u..and..yes…for me.
forgiveness..it’s not a cure, but it does make a difference.
daughter: you just don’t understand like I do
God Bless America
God bless our Veterans who have honourably served.
Hang on…a new Commander in Chief who sees you, remembers you always, and respects your service is on his way 🇺🇸
Posted earlier…when I finished listening, I looked at the clock (don’t know why)…
It read 11:11 am on this 11th day of the 11th month.
The Uniform
Six String Soldiers
Nice one Betsy 😉
The number 1 signifies new beginnings; 11 signifies illumination & enlightenment…
that’s why you ‘looked without knowing why’ – your Heavenly Helpers are reminding you to be optimistic… BIGLY!
That little inadvertent/automatic head turn (or eye shift to the clock) is what POTUS 45-47 experienced on J13;
Heavenly Helpers helping in their subtle yet infinitely powerful way.
It was a head turn, dear sis. It was exactly that…something I never do.
As you may remember I do not believe in coincidences. And again, as I said elsewhere, it was a jolt…but something came with it for which I have no words to describe.
New beginnings….they are that.
Hopeful ones for everybody.
There is great power in mustard seeds 🙏🏻
Bless you, Amara Grace 💕
Thanks Betsy… Blessing received and much appreciated… and sent right back at ya – exponentially magnified & multiplied.
Same such Blessings to all Treepers as well – I value everyone here to an extreme degree; all respected teachers in the Service of Truth.
Thank you for your Service of every kind.
Not a day goes by when I come here that I don’t leave it more enlightened than when I arrived.
Abundant thanks to my fellow “residents” in these blessed branches, each with red, white, and blue flowing through their veins.
It has been said many times, we don’t know each other’s faces, but we surely do each other’s hearts…which is far better.
There is no finer community of like souls anywhere.
And I am so grateful, AG. Again, bless you always 💕
Great song..great players ..nice Betsy..👏👏😘👍
🇺🇸💪😀👍
Found by chance whilst looking for something else, Jim…
Or maybe not.
The Land of the Free BECAUSE of the Brave… yes, I know, not original, but DEFINITELY HEART-FELT. Thank you, THANK YOU to all of our wonderful soldiers, who keep us and our country safe every day.
Excellent. The trailer might give the slight impression that it glorifies war, but the film most definitely does not:
Going to War Trailer
05/28/2018

What is it really like to go to war? Filled with terror, pain and grief, it also brings exhilaration, and a profound sense of purpose. In Going to War, renowned authors Karl Marlantes and Sebastian Junger help us make sense of this paradox and get to the heart of what it’s like to be a soldier at war. Veterans of various conflicts reveal some universal truths of combat with unflinching candor.
Hunger also did Restrepo, which explores much of the same within a unit deployed to the Korengal Valley.
Thank you and God Bless all American veterans.
To all my military brothers and sisters, past and present. With much love and respect, I salute you.
And we return that salute!
That looks like it could be my niece.
Love that girl and love her love for our country and our 45/47th President.
Best Veterans Day I’ve had this decade.
Best wishes to my fellow veterans and their families.
May GOD continue to watch over our Lion and our Republic.
Same here. Also celebrated the 249th Birthday of the United States Marine Corps yesterday. Haven’t done that in ages. Felt great to reconnect with that tradition. Semper Fi!
Amen to that Ronin…it’s been a very good week. Semper Paratus!
Thank you, Veterans! May God shower His blessings on each one of you!
A heart-felt thank-you to all who have honorably served our country (some with distinction), sacrificing their time, bodies, even lives, to protect our freedoms and rights – regardless of political perspective.
Thanks Sundance.
It is 56 years since I left Vietnam.
A tribute to the 50K+ men and women whose names are on the wall who did not make it home!
May their souls experience a happiness with the Father beyond anything we can comprehend
Thank you to all of you who went to war so that the rest of us could be free.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!!! <3
Semper Fi (happy birthday USMC) as well as all my fellow brothers and sisters.
Semper Fi!!
Semper Fi!
Thank you to all our veterans. Also those serving now.
God Bless and protect each and every one of you.
Thank you Sundance…my family gave some. Nuclear Subs, Marine Corps, Army.
Long before my dad received his citizenship, he was on some merchant ships…he was a kid about 18 am guessing…he told the story of leaning on the rail of the ship (Liberty Ships)….he and his buddies would be watching the torpedoes zing by…only once did they have to abandon ship…for an out of control engine room fire.
A different world today.
God Bless Our Troops.
God Bless Donald John Trump.
Those Merchant Marines had courage of steel. They are heroes who likely have never gotten the respect that they deserved. England would probably have fallen without them.
May God bless them all. And God Bless President Trump.
Beyond grateful to all who served and currently serve this great nation. We don’t deserve you! May God bless you.🇺🇸❤️
I’m proud to have worn the USAF uniform; however, nothing I did has any comparison to the work SD and his merry crew have done to straighten the course of our beloved Country. Cheers to the sacrifices and risks taken by those how tend to this amazing site. Here’s hope we can change the name from The”Last” Refuge to the Lasting” Refuge as we continue to gain more and more hard faught ground to spread our roots!
We were (Marines) once and young…

🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
No thanks necessary, I got my thanks on November 5th when Donald J. Trump was elected the 47th president of these United States of America …
Make the Military Great Again … Thank you Mr. President.
A heartfelt thanks to all our veterans. You all are the true heroes of America. May God’s blessings be with you always.
Thank you, Veterans!
God bless our Vet’s ❤️
Thank you for your strength and bravery. 🇺🇸
Wishing you all a peaceful and wonderful day.❤️
A CinC that knows how to give a proper salute at last.
While Thanks is accepted graciously I would humbly ask that some of that heartfelt thanks be given to those less blessed. Please donate money or time or even just a handshake to the many vets who need our help. The suicide rate, homelessness, and other physical/mental challenges need our attention. Please help.
For my brothers and sisters who served I salute you and yours.
Please reach out and help a vet.
Your local VFW will be a good place to start.
Linked from CFP a bit long for a video but worth time:
Air force vet ’72-’76…..
’67-’71 – SAC, USAFE
And here’s a book for anyone feeling sorry for themselves more than they probably should:
Read it and thank your lucky stars.
Thanks to all Veterans.
Thank You All Veterans ,
Past , Present and Future !
🇺🇲
Your Commitment is Highly Regarded and Appreciated !

Go With God 💘
As I Often Say But Will Never Be Able to Say Enough
There Can Never Be Enough THANK YOUs for America’s Military People Current, Vets, Family and Those Passed Away
THANK YOU A Million Times Over, American Military People , For Your Many Sacrifices in Serving In America’s Military
Patriotic Tribute~Thank You
For many many years into her 90s my Mom stood in front of Joseph’s Groceries selling the Red Poppies that many identified with Veterans Day.
My Mom Polly who was with the first women’s group to go into the Philippines after MacArthur took it over the 2nd time.
My Uncle Fred fought as an army Ranger from France on D Day all the way to Germany.
Found in the bin… 🙁
Super cool, K. Great family history!
Thank You
Did my post get lost ???
Thanks to all.
It was a privilege and an honor to have served.
We have our President, a true Commander in Chief, to also honor. He has steadfastly fought for us and is returning America to us.
God Bless
Awesome pictures in this music video, honoring all branches of our Armed Forces:
Treepers…is it me being sentimental or is there a new birth of patriotism and support for beloved Armed Forces on this Veteran’s Day?
I believe it’s a lot of both Aggiegirl……I felt it also watching the Veteran’s Parade in our town.
President Trump’s resounding victory in both arenas has brought that special feeling that things can get better-HOPE along with another one….DETERMINATION.
Last but not least we have been vindicated for the 2020 steal and those who stole it must be held accountable.
Amen.
Proud to be an American: Indestructible Ragged Old Flag Thanks GOD For Being Born In The USA
I would also like to thank all those whose family member who have gone to lose those who served.
They are just as important.
I am grateful I had the chance to serve, and I hope I did some good while I was in. I wish I was still there to help pick up the pieces, but sadly, I think the damage to our armed forces is generational.
You served…trust me, you did good. We all did. Don’t ever question that.
Here’s a 3-minute “special” video related to The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier:
“Impactful Female Sentinel Conducts Last Walk”
I’ve watched this countless times, and each time I cry.
For my father, who did the scenic tour of the South Pacific with the USMC. For my Uncle who stormed the beaches in Normandy. They both came home and lived to talk a small bit about the horror and bravery they and their fallen brothers were part of. We will never forget!
As the son of a Korean War vet, thank you Veterans.
Among my many regrets is that I was too self-centered in my youth to become part of that great brotherhood.
I attempted to erase that regret later in life, but was thwarted by age.
Thank you again for doing what I did not do.
I totally understand. My son was much the same, rather a wild teen. The Army wouldn’t take him much to his regret. Now, in his 50s, he’s working with military contractors training young National Guardsmen in virtual battle simulations. He loves the work and the interactions with the youngsters. He now feels like he’s giving back and in some small way serving. He is a child of 3 generations of veterans.
A Flashback here:
11 General Orders
General Order 1: To take charge of this post and all government property in view.
General Order 2: To walk my post in a military manner, keeping always on the alert and observing everything that takes place within sight or hearing.
General Order 3: To report all violations of orders I am instructed to enforce.
General Order 4: To repeat all calls from posts more distant from the guardhouse than my own.
General Order 5: To quit my post only when properly relieved.
General Order 6: To receive, obey, and pass on to the sentry who relieves me, all orders from the commanding officer, officer of the day, and officers and noncommissioned officers of the guard only.
General Order 7: To talk to no one except in line of duty.
General Order 8: To give the alarm in case of fire or disorder.
General Order 9: To call the corporal of the guard in any case not covered by instructions.
General Order 10: To salute all officers and all colors and standards not cased.
General Order 11: To be especially watchful at night, and during the time for challenging, to challenge all persons on or near my post and to allow no one to pass without proper authority.
#12 — know the first 11.
Heh…
And walk my post from flank to flank
and take no s**t from any rank… 🙂
kidding of course…
Semper Vivium
Our town had its Veteran’s Day parade yesterday. The rain held off and there were way more people celebrating than usual.
It’s a college town so a few young ones asked, “What’s the parade for?” I was happy to answer “it was a parade to honor those living and deceased who fought to keep us safe and free.”
I was surprised at the responses and good comments that were made.
Thank you to all Veterans on this special day of recognition. It just feels more special this 11th day of the 11th month of the year of our Lord 2024 maybe because what they fought for was truly shown last week.
God Bless America.
Thank you vets.
My pleasure! US Army (PSYOP) 1989-2010. Only one regret is that the light bringer signed my retirement certificate!
Clinton signed mine (well, his autopen did). Threw it out with some old tuna when I got home. My DD-214 works for me.
Somewhere lost in a box!
Giving a shout out to Olive Garden for continuing to serve full meals to all veterans and active duty service members every Veterans Day and Memorial Day. Only beverages are charged.
I always get chicken parm with spaghetti. I can only eat half and bring the rest home. My Navy vet husband always gets spaghetti and meatballs that disappears quickly.
We had a lovely, very personable server. Great time!
As shared by my wife of 32 years today. She had her nails done while I took a chaplain and his boys out to try for a whitetail deer. At the local Vietnamese run nail salon a Vietnam Vet was brought in by home healthcare to get his toenails trimmed and cared for. My wife reported that the fuss they made over this man was tear inducing. They expressed so much thanks to this man for his hard work and help to their country to defeat communism. And yeah they voted for President Trump!
All the adult men in my immediate family have served.
Dad .. WWII (first action 6/6/1944, 82 Airborne), Korea (severe phosphor burns), Vietnam (1 tour) (Sergeant Major US Army). Passed at age 50 from complications due to his wounds in Korea. (PH, BS with V)
Brother (in law) … Vietnam (2 tours) (Sergeant Major US Army, retired). Passed at age 60.
Hoss … Vietnam (1 tour) (Marine, Sergeant 2531). Still kicking, but can’t hear worth a sh!t
To all my Brothers and Sisters who have served and are serving, in all Branches, Thank You, and God Bless
God Bless our veterans!! They are truly the real heroes of freedom!
We love them all. They deserve so much more thanks than we ever can express. We honor them all today and every day!
Happy Veterans Day to all the veterans here, and all those around the world now and in days past. Thank you for your service. I cannot even begin to find words of thanks that speak to the sacrifice you gave in service to our country.
But Thank You for each and every moment of your time in service to the United States of America.
And Happy Veterans Day to Our Commander in Chief — President Donald Trump — who took a bullet for all of us without getting a Purple Heart.
