The looks and comments from the wackos have me smiling and laughing all week, even more so since the official election results have been announced.
Life is so good right now to even consider reading the Globe but thank you… maybe it would even further brighten my really good mood !!!

Boston really is a lovely city – though I haven’t been there in 20+ years. I just love the aura of history you feel there.
My home is in a red area of AZ, but Tucson, the closest city, is a hotbed of liberalism due to the presence of the University of Arizona. We wear MAGA clothing and have Trump bumper stickers on our vehicles. Had some damage done to my truck, and occasionally someone gets in my face, but, I refuse to be cowed. And……it’s mostly fairly civil as so many “carry.” Tends to make people more polite.

When I am tempted to whine or complain about fur, slobber, mud etc, I literally tell myself to savor the presence of the tangible evidence of my fur kids. I have an old kitty who is not doing great. He gets me up multiple times a night, begs for treats throughout the day, and occasionally misses the litter box. I’m so grateful for his life, none of that matters. ❤️

Ok a Lymon story. KId got hooked on smack by maybe 14/15? Terrible story not uncommon, and was signed to the infamous Moishe Levy ( “Morris” to his non Yiddish speaking friends ) and George Goldner’s N.Y. based and mobbed up “Roulette Records”… ( Morris is depicted semi-fictitiously as the character “Hesh”; the record mogul in the classic cable tv series “The Soprano’s”.

The remixed “version” isn’t half bad and tends to mitigate the somewhat syrupy if not intensely patriotic version of the original. But the electric guitar chords under carry the verses and the contemporized version works quite well reworked, and it sounds as if Greenwood has added some vocal bits and if so? At 82 years old – That is to be commended!

After the Government Service Academies, The Virginia Military Institute is by far the most prestigious service school. Stone Wall Jackson was a professor there. Patton went there before getting into West Point. Many other great military leaders were trained and educated at VMI.

Leonard Norman Cohen
(September 21, 1934 – November 7, 2016)
was a Canadian singer-songwriter from Québec, a poet, and a novelist. His work explored religion, politics, isolation, depression, sexuality, loss, death, and romantic relationships dies at 82.
Biography: Leonard Cohen was an influential singer-songwriter whose career spanned 50 years. Cohen began as a poet before, frustrated at his lack of success became a professional musician.
Cohen’s musical style was often haunting and evocative. This is evidenced in “Hallelujah” his most well known song, famously covered by Jeff Buckley. Such Cohen standards as “I’m Your Man”, “Death of Ladies Man” and “Suzanne” were often covered by other musicians.

Biography: The longest-serving First Lady of the United States, holding the post from March 1933 to April 1945 during her husband President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s four terms in office.
A controversial First Lady for her outspokenness, she was the first presidential spouse to hold press conferences, write a syndicated newspaper column, and speak at a national convention.

Biography: Called “The King of Cool”, his “anti-hero” persona made him a top box-office draw of the 1960s and 1970s.
Best known for “The Sand Pebbles”, “The Thomas Crown Affair”, “The Magnificent Seven”, and “The Great Escape”.
Never knew he was born an Indiana local.

Frank Borman
(1928-2023)
American USAF colonel, NASA astronaut (Gemini 7, Apollo 8), and CEO of Eastern Air Lines (1975-86), dies after suffering a stroke at 95
Biography: As the commander of Apollo 8, NASA astronaut Frank Borman, along with crew mates Jim Lovell and Bill Anders were the first to fly around the Moon in 1968. They orbited the moon ten times during the six-day mission and were the first humans to see and take pictures of the far side of the moon.
Prior to this in 1965 Borman, along with Lowell, crewed NASA’s Gemini 7, an endurance test mission that kept them in space for 330 hours. They also performed the first space rendezvous as part of this mission, coming within a few feet of Gemini 6.
Borman resigned form NASA in 1970 and became an executive at Eastern Airlines.

I bought my very first motorcycle from Bud Ekins shop in Sherman Oaks CA in 68/69. McQueen’s roaddog pal and the guy who jumped the Triumph in the Great Escape!
I’m still havin’ Porsche and Triumph’s to this day 🙂

Way back in 1969 there was a song about CA falling into the ocean due to ‘the big one’ earthquake. That was pre climate alarmism.
When we moved out of the LA area in 1998, caravanning in a pickup and a used Saturn, we put a sign in the back window of the pickup, showing a city skyline and smog, and the words, Escaped from LA. People honked and waved and thumbs-upped all across the country. You couldn’t pay me a million bucks a year to go back.

A couple of thoughts:
We that are sane need to do our best to stigmatize any Republican that works with the left on “climate change” issues. They will be by definition in opposition to President Trumps drill baby drill which is vital for righting our financial ship and getting inflation under control. Don’t let any RINO try and use climate change as cover for opposition to Trumps agenda.Though we have not seen ANTIFA come out and make a move yet I would bet it is coming. I suspect that it will come at the inauguration. The intent will be to cause a violent reaction by the authorities that will serve to allow the Press to paint Trump as the tyrant that they’ve been screaming he is.
Yup. I suspect they’ll use petroleum based accelerants to get their points across. 👊
Include congressman Valadao (R) in your never Tump list. He voted twice to impeach President Trump. I would NEVER have voted for him in this election if President Trump had not asked us to vote R all down ticket.
