But McCormick’s margins should only increase as the rest of the votes from Cambria county come in. He leads by almost 10,000 votes in that county with 61% reported, so he should increase his margin of victory by 6,000-7,000 votes. That would put his margin of victory between 0.5-0.6%, so if Casey wants a recount, he will have to pay for it. It has to be 0.5% or less for the state to pay.
Someone posted earlier that he had conceded, but I can’t confirm if it’s true or not.

A lot has been made about where all those extra votes in 2020 came from (including Sudance’s article from yesterday). I wanted to better understand the validity of the claims the numbers were proof of a 2020 steal, so I looked into the voting in the 5 states I was most suspicious of in the 2020 election: AZ, GA, MI, PA, and WI. Only Arizona showed significantly more votes in 2020, but the variance went away when I factored in the fact that only 75% of the 2024 vote was tabulated (at least in the source I was using – https://decisiondeskhq.com/results/2024/General/President/).
So, my preliminary conclusion is that there might have been a bunch of fraudulent votes that generated Biden’s 81 million total, but I didn’t find any evidence they came from the five key states I looked into.
I’m sure most came from CA, NY and IL. Especially CA.
