Maybe someone can help me understand why Jews, Orthodox or not are so aligned with the Democrats party.
Is it Social Justice stuff, push toward socialism and big central government. Conservatives, at least say they want fiscal responsibility, limited government, Rule of Law, and individual accountability-fairness to all not Identity

I live in the (Democratic) People’s Republic of New Jersey, and from what I have noticed, the Jewish people in my area are super liberal. It’s very strange. I live in an area with a pretty high population, and I have never understood it. They seem to be very far left on social issues and very left wing in general. You even see it on Wall St, where they tend to be overrepresented. You would think that they would favor Republican policies, but that’s almost never the case. It’s something I will never understand.
You don’t live I Lakewood or englewood or Teaneck.you would think all Jews were republicans.
Many early Communists were Jews: Marx himself was born a Jew, but became an atheist, sometimes used as an example of the “self-hating Jew” in societies of his day.
Of course, the Communists promised a paradise of equality, which appealed to people suffering under anti-Semitic laws and cultures.
Some, like modern-day Communists, compartmentalized their brains with a double-thinking wall between their religion and their contradictory adherence to an evil, atheist movement like Communism.

Because in areas like New York, the region is POLITICALLY CAPTURED by the left. If they intend to have successful employment or successful business, they MUST toe the line. And you might say “so? They can secretly vote Republican!” No. That’s not how the political capture system works. When captured in such a system, there are two logical directions: Stay or Leave. Among those who stay, it becomes increasingly stressful to pretend and then act differently. To avoid stress, mental and emotional “RATIONALES” begin to emerge to justify their otherwise immoral decision to remain. Eventually the captured comes to defend their decision with more ferocity and energy than they would have needed if they decided to leave. And of course the notion of “fighting back” never occurs to them.

A Kamala win would be bad news not because she’s so personally dangerous, but because it would demonstrate the permanent closure of the political system
Neither of her parents were US citizens when she was born. That’s a fact. “Natural Born” means citizenship is INHERITED from the parents. The 14th amendment does not allow for such inheritance and certainly not a status of being “natural born.”
We’re already under a closure of the political system. That people are more scared of being called a racist than to support and defend the US Constitution is a huge problem.
Do either of her parents even support her?
Her mother is dead and she is estranged from her father. Has he stated political support for her? Who knows? In the past he publicly rebuked her for joking about all Jamaicans smoking weed, a comment he was angered by since he considered it an insult to the country he emigrated from.
Retired Magistrate here: OK, everyone take a deep breath. No matter what happens with regard to the election life will go on. How do I know that? Because at 77 years of age I remember going to the train station with my parents and watching men return from the Korean War, atomic bomb drills conducted in grade school, the Kennedy assassination, Martin Luther King assassination, Robert Kennedy assassination, the Viet Nam War and nightly body bag counts, riots and LBJ’s Great society which destroyed the black family.
Of course then we had the Carter years: gas rationing, food shortages, power shortages, the misery index, being the laughing stock of the world, hostage situation and mortgage rates at 18%. Then the Gulf War, 9/11, the War on Terror and its consequences, 2007 financial crisis, Obama’s promise to fundamentally change America (which he did) and the pandemic and all the shortages, life loss and draconian measures that went along with it.
Well, by GOD’s grace I am still here and so are a lot of you that lived through all or part of what I have just written above.
My point is that every day is a gift from GOD, relish every minute that you have. Love your family and your friends, stock up and be prepared.

I have lived through much of what you state. In all that time I never felt the basics of our American culture, way of life and freedom was ever threatened from the actions of our own govt. It’s different this time. Our govt. is working against America in almost every facet of our society. They are actively diluting the influence and will of America’s native citizens with aiding and abetting foreign citizens to illegally invade us with the hopes of changing the political control and sovereignty of this nation. They are pushing communism into our Constitutional rights and denying our founding principles that have protected and nourished us for so long. That never happened before. We have never had to wonder if America would be still there after the incidents that you described. Now we do. It’s very real and very frightening for my young family members and their future if we don’t be vigilant, brave and proactive against a very real domestic enemy-our own govt.
So yes, I agree, get up everyday and thank God for what you have, live your best life, love and protect your family, love this country. But we cannot push aside the possible coming disaster if we look away even for a moment and allow the enemy to slip through. Be clear minded, calm, aware and active where you can. Pray and trust God to hold us close.
Tomorrow brings great change no matter what happens. Look it square in the face and stand up for it, strong and free, whatever comes our way.
Saturday I met three very impressive twenty-somethings in Salem, VA. Just all round nice, disciplined, intelligent Americans. Once of the guys who is of Greek descent said at one point “this is not the country I grew up in”. Not yet 30 years old and they are seeing the change. I responded to him “yes but you are young enough to affect change. Do not give up on your country. Fight for it.”
Another one said he di not know how his mother is voting but that he and his siblings have been trying to talk sense into her. I told to tell her his future depends on her vote and if she helps kamala get elected he won’t have a future.

Apparently someone in California and possibly other states are responding to houses with Harris signs by sending out fake “notices” that because their signs are posted, their homes will be selected to host illegal aliens (I will not say “migrants” because migrant in practice refers to people who are coming here for work (i.e. migrant labor)
I find the reporting of this on the news funny as I also find the fake notices as funny.
In political campaign ads, they lie about Trump viciously and inform them of horrible things Trump will do. Is this fake notice campaign any different? Perhaps in the sense that it doesn’t seem to indicate a legitimate PAC or SuperPAC organization as the origin. But the notices are pretty vicious… but not necessarily false!
The demands put on the public are already horrifying. It would be the next step to be required (or requested) to house strangers in your home. (A government “request”? What horrible thing will refusal of the request will follow? They say paying taxes are voluntary, but try NOT paying them and see just how voluntary it actually is!)
The one question I would like to see asked of these recipients is “If this notice turned out to be real, how will you respond? Will you host these people in your home?”

My husband and I watched Mel Gibson’s The Patriot last evening, I had never seen it. Though it seemed a little as if an eight year war had been compressed into less than one, it was also a graphic reminder of how dearly our freedom, our independence, was won.
I recognized quite a lot of the events depicted from history, so I know it was intended to be accurate.
Everyone who doesn’t read history should at least watch it and have some idea of what they’re so blithely letting slip away.

Everyone says to live in the moment or that it could be worse but the truth is what you’re going through is extremely hard. Just a little while ago, there was a small scandal about some ‘right-wing influencers’ who got some money from a source they did not recognize, allegedly to influence opinions on the 2024 elections.
One of the influencers had noticeably changed her style, she started posting about things like women not being capable of voting intelligently.
My point here is not about those influencers, it’s that there are propagandists at work throwing these topics out there, for the purpose of sowing division and destabilizing our country.
Then people pick up on these talking point slogans, and repeat them, as if they are saying something clever, original, and daring.
If you follow ANY Trump-supporting site you will see this.
Donald Trump has never himself said anything disparaging about women’s intelligence, judgement, fitness for office, or proper role in society, but you see it all the time from supporters of his, and when people see that, they naturally make assumptions that he thinks this way too.
Something similar happened to Ron Paul. He had a difference of opinion about our support for Israel, but he also had a newsletter full of anti-Jew opinion by some of his supporters, and it hurt him.
People can talk about whatever they want, but I think it is imortant to understand the genesis of some of these ideas that show up in public discourse.
