That is a beautiful prayer chestdocmd. I would say to you also that, life is a test of sorts. A crucible of the soul. That those who fix their eyes on Jesus and on the Word pass the test, no matter what we are subjected to and that what happens here on Earth isn’t that important. So don’t be troubled too terribly if things don’t go the way you hope and pray for. No matter what, God has a plan and all happens within the scope of His plan.
Why we fight, why we care about elections and politics and all of it is because we want to maintain a system within which we Christians can operate freely and spread the word of God. That really is our only true purpose in politics. And it is also a calling to be firmly involved in politics for that reason alone.
God may decide to not help us directly here. He may decide to let Evil take one more step. Not because He supports evil, that is ridiculous to believe. But it is true that in times of great suffering and stress, Men turn their hearts towards Him. It may seem a cynical joke to some for that to be the case, but in truth God did not create us to suffer here on Earth in fragile bodies. He created us as spiritual beings to someday be with Him. A test, just the way things are, whatever it is…we are subjected to it as long as we are anchored in these mortal bodies, but ultimately if we have faith in Him, we will someday be with Him.
And that is really the only truly important thing for ourselves. And here on Earth the important thing is to lead others to Christ who is The Way.
