The “value” of a college education has been reduced significantly. Being charged too much for too little return on investment has reached its peak.
The only power colleges have is in the “demand” of prospective students wanting to attend their institutions to get a better job when they graduate. If the demand goes down because good jobs are available without that college degree, then so does their power and their ability to push their way of thinking on the next generation.
It’s simple supply and demand.
Rebuilding infrastructure, bringing back manufacturing and “drill baby drill” may allow many high school graduates to earn a decent salary without the need for a four year college degree.
To the woke colleges, be careful what you wish for. If all students must take global warming/climate change awareness (fake science) classes to attend, then many may choose not to attend. They may find a good life in high demand skilled labor careers instead.

Years ago, when I first met my future DIL, she mentioned she wanted to pursue a career in “social justice.” I asked her to define that, or at least define what it meant to her. She was flummoxed and I’m sure I didn’t score any points as her future MIL:)
Fast forward: She finished college, got a law degree, and mediates cases in employment law. “Social justice” is finding a compromise between two opposing parties.
Her career mirrors how President Trump conducted his incredibly successful business for decades and how he will end the conflict in Ukraine. Give a little, take a little, negotiate until each side walks away from the table believing itself to be the winner.
It’s a great irony she will still vote Dem next Tuesday.

I highly recommend people listen to the JFK Jr daughter-in-law interview by Tucker. She talks about CISA and the EMP threat.
She says an estimate of $2 billion was given to thoroughly protect the grid infrastructure from EMP’s, solar flares and vandalism which she says is relatively low considering we just gave $100 billion to Ukraine.
PDJT was the first president to have an executive order which required our grid to be protected from EMP’s – Biden cancelled it.
Weird, she said the Chinese have talked about using high altitude balloons to detonate an EMP. The right altitude to cause wide spread damage.
I forgot the figure, but she was saying a solar flares like the one in the 1800’s that wiped out telegraphs would cause widespread outages and take anywhere from 2 to 7 years to restore. A solar flare like that comes around every 100 to 150 years, were due for one and they estimate 12% chance every decade of one occurring – not nothing.
The estimated deaths in the first year is pretty high: no water, no refrigeration, no lights, etc. — what will people do in the cities.
Not only a threat from solar flares, but EMP’s in strategic locations. I guess some, what they believe, were North Korean “special forces” infiltrated and vandalized components at a sub-station in the Bay Area around 2012 (I think this is the date she said). The group was never identified. Our sub-stations aren’t very secure.

The whole premise of the series is that it ends up at the end that a thinly disguised Hillary Clinton set off an emp as a way of gaining power, waiting it out with her coterie of traitors at Site R in Pennsylvania until 90 percent of the country is dead from starvation, violence, and lack of medications like insulin.

The sheep spend waaaaay too little time understanding what makes someone “qualified”. We get entertainment figures or “scientists” funded by people with political agendas being named “experts”. The first question I always ask myself when i see some “think tank” report or appeal to authority is: who is paying for this and then, who benefits from this view?
Joke’s on them though. History has proven that without a sufficient population all sorts of technologies become unsustainable.
Building even moderately advanced things requires more knowledge and expertise than any one person can know. Our technological advancements have come because there’s enough of a brain trust that individuals only need to know part of the process necessary to complete the entire project.
If the elites successfully wiped 90+% of the population out, they’d likely be unable to sustain much beyond a 19th Century standard of living.
Just consider all the know how it takes to produce the humble No.2 pencil. The knowledge to needed to make the tools for harvesting and mining and processing. the raw material, the skill to grow and mine the materials, the knowledge it takes to build the transportation that brings those materials together, the knowledge of chemistry needed for the paint, the graphite and rubber eraser, the knowledge to build the mills that shape the raw materials and mix and apply the paint, manufacture the box they come in, etc. Then multiply that by all the infrastructure needed for everything else.
The Elites’ very paradise rests upon the efforts and knowledge of billions whose collective knowledge and talents create it, but that the Elite consider to be “useless eaters” because they’re too myopic to see the vast interconnected web that enables their luxury lifestyle and that their lifestyle would crumble to less than what we consider abject poverty in the United States without them.
Seriously, America’s poor live in more luxury than the mightiest kings and emperors of even two centuries ago. Our middle class has comforts beyond what the Elite of a century ago would believe possible.
By and large; the “elite” are ignoramouses so insulated from reality they think they’re brilliant.
This is the exact same reason we read that, since the massive offshoring of manufacturing, we’re losing the generations of workers who actually know how to run those machines. And in crucial industries.
Even if President Trump is successful we’ll be starting from scratch.
Whenever I look at a steam locomotive, and the amount of knowledge of mechanical engineering and mathematics and physics involved in the design to get the monster moving, I am always awed.

Here in upstate NY we are working frantically to get out the vote for President Trump and our local Repub. congressmen and women. I honestly believe that no matter what they say, New York is a Red/Republican majority state which Trump won in 2016 and 2020.
The problem is the Downstate area that includes NY City and the nearby counties that are controlled by the ever cheating DemonRats.
Our early voting locations are mobbed every day and from what I see looks like a lot of MAGA people coming out early. I know that this is the first time I have voted early myself.
All that being said, I greatly fear that the Trump Team has missed the biggest threat and that is the influx of hundreds of thousands of bad ballots that will be injected into the system. This problem has been well documented by True the Vote, 2000 Mules, Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch and many others.

A host of Russian news broadcasters have sued the tech giant for blocking their content on YouTube, and the penalties are adding up
Russian news broadcasters are owed an unbelievable sum from US tech giant Google over their loss of access to YouTube, RBK news outlet reported on Tuesday, citing sources with knowledge of the matter. According to the report, the total amount Google owes the 17 Russian broadcasters has reached $20.6 decillion as of October 28.
The staggering figure stems from a host of lawsuits filed against Google, in which a number of Russian news channels accused it of unlawfully blocking their content on the video hosting platform.
In October 2022, the Moscow Arbitration Court ordered Google to restore YouTube access to the blocked Russian channels. It placed a compounding penalty of 100,000 rubles per day ($1,028) on the tech giant if it did not comply, with a provision that every week, the amount of the penalty would double, with no cap on the total amount.
During the latest court hearing on the case on Monday, the judge mentioned that he was considering “a case with many, many zeroes,” RBK reported. A source close to the proceedings claimed that in September the fine had reached almost 13 decillion rubles but has now climbed to over 2 undecillion, or $20.6 decillion – a number with 34 zeroes. The ruble currently trades at around 90 to the dollar.

Actually, I can see an innocent reason for doing this which, perhaps conveniently, could also lead to a nefarious one. Sending ballots to a central facility for processing which involves scanning, very often in a different city than where the item was mailed, typically a very large city, can delay receipt of the ballot by several days leading to ballots mailed at the last minute being rejected.

After pretending to consider various women and minorities for the Supreme Court these past few weeks, President Bush decided to disappoint all the groups he had just ginned up and nominate a white male.
So all we know about him for sure is that he can’t dance and he probably doesn’t know who Jay-Z is. Other than that, he is a blank slate. Tabula rasa. Big zippo. Nada. Oh, yeah … We also know he’s argued cases before the Supreme Court. Big deal; so has Larry Flynt’s attorney.
But unfortunately, other than that that, we don’t know much about John Roberts. Stealth nominees have never turned out to be a pleasant surprise for conservatives. Never. Not ever.
Since the announcement, court-watchers have been like the old Kremlinologists from Soviet days looking for clues as to what kind of justice Roberts will be.

My lib brother recommended the Mosquito Bowl by Buzz Bissinger. Don’t bother reading this Woke revisionist BS from the author of Friday Night Lights (which I loved BTW). Go woke go Broke. Buzz writes for Vanity Fair today and it shows. I couldn’t finish Mosquito Bowl despite the fact that I love WW2 History and College Football. The book supposedly details the Morale building football game involving active member US Marines that were also former College Football all stars (before WW2 began) on the island of Guadalcanal, Christmas Day 1944, just months before the deadly invasion of Okinawa. Outstanding concept EXCEPT the author and the build up writing/depiction is totally WOKE. Huge Disappointment. Revisionist History of WW2- so sad.
I experienced something similar recently.
My book club read The Women, by Kristen Hannah, a historical fiction written about the nurses in Vietnam (one in particular of course). The cultural details on every page were reminders of my youth and the news of the day. It was obviously extremely well researched and quite detailed l.
Unfortunately, the author completely swallowed the left’s history, blaming a war that began for us in the 50s on President Nixon, who took office in January 1969. She indicated no understanding whatsoever of the hidden government forces present in the war protests, the Black Panthers, the Weather Underground, the college riots, etc. A good story, well told, great detail, mostly accurate history, and she missed the big picture.
I think a lot of today’s fiction has to have wokeness in it just to get published.
It’s too bad, because you often get a better understand of history through fiction than through straight-up history books, which often leave out what life was like, other than who was in government and what wars were being fought.
Yes the March through the institutions certainly made its way through book publishers.

This article articulates exactly how I feel about voting for Kamala simply because she is a woman. As a woman, I would like to one day see a female president. However, I want that woman to become president, not simply because she is a woman but because she is smart, articulate, strong and is accomplished in her own right. Democrats have spent the past four years demoralizing and demeaning women with their “trans” nonsense then tell us we must vote for a ridiculous, unserious, and inept Commiela simply because she is a woman. Of course there is also the real problem of the Democrat policies and their quest to destroy this country.

Had they ever paid for their various crimes over the years, the Clintons’ hold over official Washington would have disappeared. Hillary would never have been in a position to seek the presidency. She and her accomplices would not have been able to commit fraud against the American people with the Russia collusion hoax.
Kamala is that rare breed of public speaker who says less and less the longer she talks. Once a listener perceives a cogent thought forming from the stream of words exiting her mouth, she takes a linguistic hard left and drives straight over a cliff of utter nonsense.
What else would one expect, though, from a political party that holds women in such low regard? Democrats encourage men to dominate women’s sports. They push men into women’s locker rooms, domestic violence shelters, and prison cells. They promote men who dress up as women in the workplace and let men take credit for “female first” accomplishments. They tell real women that the best thing they can do for the planet is avoid having babies. For a party that talks feverishly about destroying the “patriarchy,” Democrats sure do seem committed to making sure that a man in high heels shatters the “glass ceiling.”
