What makes you Jewish is reverence for God, and a desire to show your gratitude towards God in all you do every day. What makes you Jewish is understanding of Zionism and support for the one and only Jewish State in the world, Israel. What makes you Jewish is the knowledge that you are a link in the chain of Jews that goes all the way back to and before Moses, and because of this, you are part of the community that listened to and decided to obey God on Mount Sinai. What makes you Jewish is your recognition that Jews pulled off the earliest successful slave rebellion in history and thus being Jewish means you stand for freedom and liberty. By all these measures and more Emhoff and Harris fail to show their true Jewishness. Emhoff’s attempt to win over Jews with his comment about a mezuzah shows his shallowness and cluelessness about what it means to be a Jew.
What makes you Jewish is acknowledging the Father (which they do) and accepting the Son (which they don’t) except for some who are then regarded as the natural ungrafted branches.

My wife and I wrote Bible verses on the studs of our house during its construction. Many of the verses are from the Old Testament. I have often thought of putting a mezuzah on our front door as a welcoming symbol to one and all and to our G od. Would that be so wrong?

Absolutely nothing wrong with it. If that’s what you wish to do, then so be it.
Personally, I would not. My reason being that to post an important artifact on my house, that comes from a religion that I am not a member of, comes across, to me, as pandering. That’s just my opinion. People who know me well enough to come to my home, and are not of my religion, do not need outside symbolism displayed to confirm that they are welcome in my home anytime.

1.) The MSM was given the marching orders to minimize coverage of protests for the incoming Fall semester.

2.) Key FHTS activists were clued in to the lip service talking points as to why they need to lower the tone.

3.) Key activists were promised an inside seat at the table.
