My mind is like the spin cycle on that washing machine above set on maximum speed.
And the things which don’t allow me to shutoff. Seeing all those who have been persecuted, imprisoned, trafficked, abused (children), impoverished (wondering how they’re going to survive day to day $$$-wise)…I could go on. Those who would still be here today had not an evil cabal not destroyed our borders.
And knowing that “existential” is not strong enough to describe how essential it is that we win this.
There are too many nights when even max amounts of melatonin (split three ways), sleepy time tea, and as a last resort a soporific glass of milk, don’t have the desired effect.
Time is crawling towards destiny for the one man who can begin to right the grievous crimes against those who are suffering.
I found this prayer the other day which I am keeping. It defines my emotions. And those of our beloved Cornbread, who posted in a reply to me his (I pray he sees it)…and I know those of others.
Caroline and and I had a mommy/daughter voting day together yesterday. Longer than usual lines. When we finally got to the door and were waiting for a free someone to check our credentials, I asked the woman monitoring there if it had been busy. She said it had been nonstop…unusual. And I left more optimistic and more at peace that Almighty God will see us through to victory.
(Not to say that such a victory will be the end of the devastation planned for us by the same evil forces which will in no way accept defeat and will make sure everyone pays the price for their uppitiness in denying them. But that is for another time. Sufficient unto the day, etc.)
So here it is…putting my focus where it should at all times be.
We are not alone, never alone. On Him we lay down all our worries and fortify our faith in His eternal goodness and lovingkindness, no matter what happens 🙏🏻

You are right of course. Troubles and trials are individual for each person. Everyone has them in one form or another. For myself I sometimes start to pray when I’m overwhelmed and find nothing…no words, my mind shut down, even as my heart has so much to say . The Holy Spirit knows though and intercedes for us…and an “Amen” is sometimes all any of us has.
God has the answers because, as CS Lewis finally came to know questioning his belief after the death of his wife, Almighty God IS the answer.

Betsy, your thoughts about starting to pray and being overwhelmed and finding nothing triggered a memory of verses you essentially paraphrased.
Romans 8:26-27 (New American Standard Bible):
“26 Now in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27 and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.”
I’ve recently been stuck and highly frustrated trying to get thoughts into words in prayer, knowing there simply are not the words to express to God what I am trying to convey……but I know HE knows.
Something in the way you worded your post reminded me of those verses, and I had to go find them.

There is an irony to this. I went to school for speech communications and later added accounting as a major. But I don’t work in either area.
I make cars and I’m crippled up from it…..oops.
I used to think I was a good communicator, and that I was a TRAINED communicator. I’ve learned sometimes it doesn’t matter. No matter how one tries to convey an idea to someone else, sometimes feedback and response just is not enough to get the idea one has to someone else.
At least with God, if we are Christians, He can understand what’s in our hearts even if we can’t get it worded right.
Simply typing this out sorta helps that understanding to be more complete.

I know that even if President Trump overcomes the cheat, defeats Jamie Raskin and Demonrats who threaten not to seat him, and physically makes it to Inauguration Day (Oh Dear Lord, please protect him), it will be an uphill battle to turn this massive ship of state around: akin to turning a battleship. It cannot be done on a dime, and there will be constant obstacles placed in his way. He will need each and every one of us to support and pray for him and his family.

-I skipped a couple of days. Sometimes things are hard to report and I take a breath. Basically in 48 hours we had 13 soldiers killed and a couple of dozens injured some 7-9 badly injured. It was three incidents. One was a force in Lebanon who brought in logistical support to other forces and had a rocket attack that killed 5 soldiers and injured others. Another incident also in Lebanon with another reserves force who had terrorists emerge from a tunnel in the dense vegetation and threw grenades. In the battle five soldiers were killed and some injured. Also terrorists were killed. Then an incident in North Gaza and a tank went over a huge IED and blew up and killed three soldiers and injured one. So my mood was not the best after this. We get their images and some background of the young people. Here were also many reservists who had large families. 20 children were orphaned of their father. Sad. RIP and may God bless their souls. We lost 27 soldiers since the maneuver started in Lebanon.
-Now to the Attack in Iran:
I will start with the good and end with the bad.
The good is that it’s over and our pilots are back safely!
IDF: “We completed a precision attack that lasted a few hours, with a few waves of attack on a few areas of Iran in response to the Iranian attacks on Israel in the past months. “
Military targets in a few areas of Iran were attacked – in two main Iranian arrays: The Iranian Air Defense and the Iranian ballistic missiles array. Amongst the targets which were attacked were means of manufacturing ballistic missiles, arrays of ground to air missiles and Iranian air capabilities designed to limit the freedom of action of Israel.
Tens of airplanes participated, refueling airplanes, Intel airplanes, and means to rescue from enemy territory.
The attack was carried out more than 1,600 Km (994 Miles) away. The magnitude of damage in Iran will be discovered.
The state of Israel today has a wider freedom of action in Iran too. The attack is done. Iran attacked Israel and paid a price.
We are in a top alertness in defense and offense.”
Official Revolutionary Guard Statement: “The attack was so weak that it didn’t concern us”.
Israel reports on 20 targets in Iran which were attacked.
Conclusion: The prevailing view in Israel from what I see in many comments from usual people is that this was what we call in Hebrew “dardale” (very weak, wimpy). It is clear that Biden and Kamala tied the hands of Bibi. I can only hope that he got something in return, like kinds of munitions that we need or agreement for freedom to go deeper in Lebanon, etc…
There is an official IDF statement of “we are focusing on Gaza and Lebanon and Iran is trying to escalate a regional war…” Basically the American Biden’s position.
I said earlier that going into a back and forth war of attrition with Iran is very bad for Israel.
The only thing of value is if we can take out their nuclear sites.
I also said that this is not likely to be possible with Biden and Kamala.
Unless this is a misdirector to let them go loose and then take out the nuclear sites (not likely but possible) then Bibi is waiting for Trump to win and is carful not to close the doors on American support in case Trump does not win.
To conclude I want to say that my main prayers are for Trump. It’s not only the US that needs him. It’s the world. He may be the right man at the right time to turn things around. We deserve some better years.

With Sinwar dead, the days that followed, and morale so high, I wish Bibi had just waited until after the election to make the “response” move. They are trying hard to cheat this election, again, but it looks like the people are showing up in record numbers to stop the crazy, and it looks bad for Harris. The negative implications for Israel with this one weak move, in a war they must win, with the world watching, is not good, and will be lasting. In other words, that US crazy people were able to control Israel like this, was a bad message to put out there, and undid the message that was out there when they got Sinwar, being that the US does not control Israel, I think this was far more damaging, even if Trump wins. Thank you. I agree that it appears like was better to wait. Bibi is playing chess. He may have gotten something of value as a return and got it now. Something like critical munitions or agreement that if they respond we go after the nuclear sites. The grip of the US on Israel is undeniable. In 1973 Golda Meier rejected a preemptive strike (Yom Kippur war) when there were indication of an imminent attack. Israel almost lost the war. In her investigation later she said that she was 100% sure that if we were attacking first the US would blame us and deny weapons and munitions. The State Departemnt opposed the shipments even when we were on the brink of a loss and Nixon went ahead and sent the critical shipments. Israel now learned a lesson. There is a shift in making our own munitions and we can get there. Yet without a US veto in the UN we could find ourselves in a full world wide economic ban. So Israel is small and need the US. Overestimating self can be a disaster.
In the Roman times the Jews over estimated themselves and fought the Romans a bitter war. We actually won against the Roman Empire. A major battle. But then they mobilized major forces and their top of the top generals and Israel was wiped out and many expelled or killed. It was their punishment when they called the land Palestine to humiliate the Jews.
I don’t think this is very dramatic. Israel will do better attacking the nuclear sites when no one is expecting it. Right now was complicated. If it’s true and their air defenses were degraded then things will be easier when the real deal happens.

I wonder how much of the gold and cash that is hidden, is from the funds Biden (Obama) unfroze. It’s hard to give grades to those in power in critical times. We don’t know what kind of pressures Bibi was under. The Israel / US relationship is critical to Israel and less to the US. If for example Bibi was to strike the oil fields in Iran and that would rise the oil prices world wide and perceived by the Democrats as an interference in US elections, the price could be extreme in case they win the elections. We all understand that the elections are not over until it’s done.
By the way there are some things that Israel gives the US that are very substantial. For example an edge over China and Russia in the military field. For example the main reason the Russians didn’t succeed in Ukraine, in my opinion is that their tanks have no active protection. The IDF have a system that is called Trophy and explodes incoming anti tank missiles in the air. That is why “only” 359 IDF soldiers died in the war in Gaza. Numerous tanks and armored were hit and kept going. We could have lost this war without it. The US just did a deal of few hundred million dollars to have this system.
The Iron Dome could be also a game changer in a war. And now we are almost ready with the laser defense system and at some point it will also be offense.
In Iraq US vehicles were armored by an Israeli company. Many soldiers lives were saved from IEDs etc…
There are also other values like cyber security, medical and civilian technology.
The whole banking industry in the US is protected by an Israeli invention. Basically the online banking system recognizes red flags and would increase the security if for example the user is geographically far away then expected. Even the first cell phone was by Motorola and their research company in Israel had a critical part in making it up to being commercial. But again , Israel does need the US for many reasons.

Same with gathering data on performance of the Namer. Defending against drones must certainly be a top priority. Same with methods to detect and destroy tunnels.
Yes. Trophy is for sure going to improve. The weakness and they know it is when the missiles is fired from very close. That will always be a weakness.
Drones defense is being worked on as a priority. It’s a matter of time till we solve it. As to locating tunnels it’s confidential but I am sure that we are ahead of any nation in the world but not perfect.

But that could not have taken place until the right heads of the corporate bodies were installed. No thinking for themselves people would destroy their companies for no reason.
They insidiously took over every walk of life. And how did they do that?
They took God out of everything – and we the people did not fight against it – we might have railed against it, but we obviously didn’t fight hard enough.
But back to PDJT…we were shown God’s hand on and over him on July 13th.
God has given PDJT the skill and the weapons to take down the deep state once and for all – well until Jesus comes, but that’s of and for the future.
It is time to focus on our prayers up for PDJT – even though He’s with him, we still need to ask and pray for his and his families’ lives and for what we want from God for our country.

I need to take the time and make an update which cover how complex the Iranian nuclear program is. How deep in the ground some of the sites are etc…
Nobody even knows if Israel has the technical capability to hit targets that are so deep in the ground.
Only the MOB bunker buster bomb can do it and will need a few. Only the B airplanes can carry it. But Israel has been working in a solution and may have one. Possibly some 80 regular bunker buster bombs on the same spot. This is what was done on Nasrallah in Lebanon who was also some 60 meters under ground.

This is just a few towns. Hezbollah has a larger stock of missies than Germany, France, UK and any nation aside for the first few top military powers in the world.

Actually the laws of war, including updates to the Geneva Convention are quite complex and Israeli legal scholars are absolutely at the forefront of this important area of war. Complying with international humanitarian law while fighting a terrorist group which does not abide by the same laws is a difficult task and the IDF – and their legal scholars – have done a superb job of complying with international humanitarian law of conflict. It is a fairly technical and dry subject, but well worth reading about. I took some courses and was blown away at the complexity and detail.

Thanks David. You are my best source of info about Israel. I took a fantastic course on “terrorism and the law” in 2008 I think – taught by Emanuel Gross, visiting professor from Univ of Haifa. He also taught in Toronto and recently Frankfurt. Very very thorough and detailed focus on protecting civilians and how to get the legal protections provided without disclosing damaging intel sources — the big lawfare tradeoff. Quite frankly there are so many legal protections I am amazed you ever get anything done at all. The course got a whole lot more interesting when I mentioned in class one day that I had actually read the “Bomb on Board” checklist and the discussion turned to real life options. The MSM media and even the typical US lawyers have no idea what they are talking about. The Israeli legal system is truly remarkable and elegant in the sense of mathematics and literature and there is a remarkable grace to the way it conforms and contributes to international law on war. I guess when you have a 5000 year common law tradition as a building block you develop some skills …

One small and well funded outfit from NY entitled ‘CCR’ for Center for Constitutional Rights was behind the legal lawfare of the war on cops and also the legal lawfare of the attacks on the IDF.

Sadly the effect of lawfare on both front line police and front line soldiers was not good. You need to have your front line people focused on the right here and right now — not what someone might think or judge much later in a place far away. Great stuff. You don’t hear a lot about Cross, but you can see the influence his friends and fellow artists had on his work – especially Seurat. He apparently hung around with a lot of the greats of that time, and his work evolved over time, as with most celebrated artists. 👍

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

A MOTHER’S MANTRA
The trials and tribulations of a mother;
Neither begin nor end at birth nor bother;
At conception, God blesses the tiny seed;

With Faith, Hope, and Love – gifts given by God;

She recognizes His gift to all of mankind;
And treasures His gift in her heart and mind!
She remembers His mother at the cross;
She can relate perfectly to her loss;
Whatever she suffers cannot compare;
To the suffering Mary had to forbear!
Be not discouraged – oh, mother of Mine;
Be thee encouraged – child of the divine;
Seek thee thy comfort and love from on high;
Give not credence to the sorrowful sigh!
Trust that your child and you are in my care;
Not a moment goes by when I am not there;
Standing beside you with angelic aid;
My death on the cross was the price I paid!
Be neither afraid nor fearful – for I am here;
To help and comfort – to Me, you are dear;

Roger Simon posted a good substack on Trump. Here is the thing, the problems that have been created do not go away with the snap of a finger. Trump can only do so much. Assume he has a Republican Senate and House, he can only do so much in four years. He can start the change, but someone has to carry through. In 2028, we cannot elect a George Bush type person to follow Trump the way we did in 1988 to follow Reagan.
