Update on early voting in Virginia. My daughter’s husband just went to vote early today, and said the line is wrapped all the way around the building out of the library into the street. This is a RED area so this is a good sign that it is still steady since early voting started Sept. 20.

As Kremer notes, “Raffensperger sent an email, in a private capacity, that went to a list of trial lawyers across Georgia soliciting $5 million by November 1st to help in his effort for a 501(c)4 called “Election Defense Fund”, asking lawyers to donate or contact him via his private gmail account & personal cell phone number.”

In Georgia they have threatened, harassed, and sued election officials. And as you know, most recently the Georgia State Election Board was taken over by three individuals who have pledged to put partisanship over sworn duty.”
Raffensperger appears to be referring to (and trying to intimidate) the three Republican members of Georgia’s five -person State Election Board, Dr. Janice Johnston, Rick Jeffares and Janelle King.
Raffensperger also appears to be attempting to intimidate and silence anyone who might challenge the outcome of Georgia’s 2024 presidential election.
On September 20th, Johnston, Jeffares and King voted in favor of requiring a hand count of all ballots to ensure that the number of physical ballots equaled the machine count total at the precinct level. This new rule was opposed by Georgia state elections officials, including Raffensperger, who said it could create chaos and confusion on Election Day.

Incident at Prince Frederick Polling Site: Voter Education Materials Removed Without Authorization
Prince Frederick, October 24, 2024 — On the evening of October 24, 2024, around 6:30 p.m., a representative from the Republican tent at the Prince Frederick polling site reported that a woman near the Democrat tent approached the Republican tent and gathered all the “Vote No to Amendment 1” signs. She then placed them in her vehicle, refusing to return them, and falsely claimed the signs contained “misinformation” and were illegal.
A Republican representative spoke with Election Board officials inside the polling site to address the situation. Upon returning outside, it was discovered that the woman had left with the signs.
As a reminder to the community, removing political signs violates the right to free speech, as protected by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Additionally, the unauthorized removal of campaign materials constitutes theft under Maryland law.
An Election Board representative, along with her assistant, assured that they would address the matter the following morning and seek the return of the signs. The Election Board representative confirmed that the individual in question had misrepresented herself by claiming she had permission from the Election Board to remove the signs. No such permission was given, and signs cannot be removed unless directed by state officials. Other individuals present at the Democrat tent disagreed with the woman’s actions and advised her to return the signs.
The Election Board has assured the Calvert County Republican Central Committee that they will continue to investigate this matter to ensure that voter education materials remain accessible and that all stakeholders adhere to proper procedures. Democratic voters lead in both mail ballot requests and ballots returned as of Friday, with that party’s voters making up almost 58% of applications and 62% of returned ballots, according to the state’s data.
Democrats have historically favored voting by mail in Pennsylvania with no-excuse mail ballots since 2020, the first election after Act 77 of 2019 allowing the ballot option was signed into law.
Despite continued attempts from Republican groups to warm their party’s voters to mail ballots after years of framing mail voting as ripe for fraud, GOP voters in Pennsylvania still seem to be shirking the post office for the ballot box this year.
Approximately 30% of mail ballot requests in the race between Harris and Trump were made by Republicans. GOP voters also make up about 29% of returned ballots.

My brother just called me from NC with an update on voting because he hasn’t been able to vote because the lines were so long and there was no parking. Finally, him and his wife got to vote for Trump today after waiting an hour and a half in line.
He told me people were constantly coming in droves! He also told me that about only 5 people came to vote for Kamala for the entire time he was there.
They were handing out blue sheets for Kamala and white for our Trump that’s how he was able to distinguish the two.

This makes no sense. Handing out different colored sheets of paper for KH or PDJT means that the voter had to tell someone at the polling place who they were going to vote for.
That means that they know which ballots to throw away.
I think what Jersey is referring to is the local republicans would hand out a sheet of paper with a sample ballot marked for republican candidates for those voters who wanted one.
The dem workers had the sample ballot marked for dem voters but printed on blue paper. And very few voters were going to the dem workers to get the samples on the blue sheets marked for dems. A good sign.
At my voting site the republican had printed sample ballots on yellow paper. There everybody was requesting the republican sample ballot.

Duval (Jacksonville), Hillsborough (Tampa), and Miami-Dade (Miami) counties show Republicans leading in early voting. Every one of those counties was won by Biden in 2020. If Trump is doing that well in urban areas, this will carry to other states as well.

We just returned from Early Voting in Pasco County, Florida (30 miles north of Tampa). My husband and I brought our elderly neighbor with us. She was so happy that we asked if we could pick her up as she no longer drives. The line at the voting center was out the door! I was shocked. In the 15 years we’ve lived here, I’ve never seen it so crowded. The voting process was very orderly and the line moved smoothly.
Moral of voting in 2024: Don’t assume that your neighbors and friends will be able to just go and vote. A phone call and invitation are much appreciated. I’m so glad we reached out to our friend. We had a DELIGHTFUL VOTING EXPERIENCE!

I am also not certain that such a ruling would survive Constitutional scrutiny. The Constitution simply says, “the Legislatures thereof.”
This, to me, essentially states that what the Fifth Circuit has now decided would not pass muster. I think that here the Founders intended to create yet another “separation of powers.” They strictly intended to curtail the powers and the prerogatives of the Federal government. I do not believe that they would ever permit a Federal Court to dictate what a State could do regarding “their, sovereign” elections.
But, I think that it was also clear that they intended to exclude both “State Governors” and “State Courts.” They wanted to push the ultimate decision-making to the one State branch that – they hoped – was most accountable to the People of the State.
There is already a federal statute the Circuit Court is relying on that has not been found unconstitutional.
I think the Supremacy Clause would win the day here against a contrary state law, as it relates to federal elections.
The big play is getting SCOTUS to rule on it.
This Circuit decision has a chance of making its way to SCOTUS.
Where the resulting holding would be nationwide and enduring.
That is the big upside here. It would transform broken voting states such as PA and MI.

He is less than a mile from us, so it isn’t too cumbersome for him drive over to do this. As I was reading the comments on this page, my son came in told me someone called the company and complained about the HS HVAC company supporting Donald Trump. My son’s boss asked the person where the location of the truck was. This person gave the address. He told this person there was nothing he could do as the address did not belong to any of his employees.
I asked my son if his boss was upset about the company truck being parked in the driveway of a home that hangs a Trump flag. He said his boss said no. Funny thing we saw a commercial for the HS HVAC company my son works for advertises on Newsmax not but two days ago.
It is disturbing that someone drove by my house complained and tried to get an employee fired because of a political difference.

As I said above, “the decision has been remanded to a lower Court,” which means that it could not take meaningful effect in time. In six months or so, it will bubble down and then back up. A year or so later, the SCOTUS might put it on their docket. A year or so later after that . . .
However, as I also said above, I think that the Founders intended for “election procedures” to be the exclusive purview of “the Legislatures thereof.” Which means that a Federal court would have no say in the decision. (And, I think, neither “State Governors” nor “State Courts.”) The individual Legislatures could then be as stupid as they wanted to be.
So then why is a federal court getting away with stopping VA from having removed self-identified illegals from the voting registration list and demanding they be put back on the voting rolls? The Voting Rights Act dealt with citizens who are allowed to vote, not with illegals who are not. They have no jurisdiction in this, but.. lawfare.

A different state law relating to voter rolls. But the District ruling conflicts with the federal law holding illegal alien voting a crime.
This one might get to SCOTUS rather quickly, because there is instant injunctive urgency. But be limited to the VA statute that the state is relying on to purge rolls.
The one out of Mississippi could get up in the next session. But that one could have major nation wide implications for decades, and undo a major component of the fraud machine.
“Federal” Courts fully intend to circumvent the Constitutional directive that elections are to be determined by “the Legislatures thereof.” They will eagerly step in to “overrule” any State laws which might help: “the Orange Man.” 100% of the existing Federal government, from top to bottom, is now aligned to this purpose.
That’s a bit excessive.
There are still many good federal judges in the system willing to do the right thing.

Just so you know: on page 21 they passed the buck entirely:

Instead, we remand to the district court for further proceedings to fashion
appropriate relief, giving due consideration to “the value of preserving the
status quo in a voting case on the eve of an election.”
“Giving due consideration to?” C’mon! O-r-a-n-g-e—M-a-n—B-a-d. (Unless we can finally get our act together and render him “dead.”)
About two-and-a-half years from now, the District Court might reply. And then, maybe a year or so later, the SCOTUS might agree (or not …) to consider the case. (Or they might “decide” that “the plaintiffs do not have ‘standing.'” Or, much more quickly, that the case is now “moot,” as of course it will now be.) Two or three years after that …
Well, you get the idea. The current “election steal” will now proceed as planned. The Court, while perhaps-correctly identifying the issue at hand, will do absolutely nothing.
Any thoughts on various states saying they will not have results available on election day.

I was just talking with my husband about this today. The only election I remember not finding out Election Day (some into the wee hours of the night) are when they stopped counting for Biden. Even Bush/Gore, they called it for Bush, but then Gore challenged it with a close race and it took a while for the hand tabulations of FL where the controversy was. But my kids are voters during an era where it’s all they know—wait weeks while votes are fabricated and counted

Even though this Court perhaps-correctly identified the issue, they will never actually do anything to solve it. Nor will even the SCOTUS … you’ll see. In about three years or so. Maybe five or six. How about twenty?

There is almost always a remand to the District Court, because the decision is to be entered there.
The ruling holds. There will be no 5 day wait for ballots in the mail in Mississippi, absent SCOTUS accepting emergency cert – and if it did accept on an emergency basis and affirmed the ruling, guess what other (swing states) would be unable to accept post election day ballots??

The SCROTUS? Don’t hold your breath. We are where we are because The SCROTUS found “no standing” for challenges to the 2020 election brought by citizens and States. So what makes it different in 2024? Nothing.
