Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Now I see it Annie.
good morning EE ☀️🧡
Good afternoon Annie!!!🙃 (my signature emoji, upside down with happy).
there’s home. Peace dreamboat
((((( lightworker )))))
good morning 🧡
Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creature:
Old things have passed away;
Look, all things have become new.
2 Cor 5:17
C’mon Jack, get with the program and …
Turn the page.
Trust God. Fear not.
Most popular dish of the 1940s
Can you guess?
https://youtube.com/shorts/y-zEPDu2JuM?si=CzDVwrZ5SZ07710r
no .. i couldn’t guess, but i’ve made it alot! those little, little glass jars of Armour Dried Beef ..
and milk gravy ..
and p.s. that spooky cat owl broke my post images ! 👿
I was wondering what happened!
My wife calls it sh*t on a shingle. An old Wisconsin favorite!
morning tim …. i really don’t like that name, lol
just sayin’ .. 🧡
( probably my mother in me )
I didn’t learn the term until I was in the Army. Their version of SOS was creamed hamburger.
yeah, that’s how it was known in my family
this one was called chipped beef on toast
“SOS” – Creamed Chipped Beef on Toast. Also watched an episode of History channel that SPAM was Big Time during WWII.
my mom used to make it, I grew up as a kid in the 50s
Dad had been in the war, went ashore at Normandy, later was at the Bulge, and at war’s end, skipped out with a truck full of rations he traded for room and wine while romancing the ladies — until the MPs eventually caught up with him
Hickory smoked Spam is goooood stuff!
Until one reads the ingredients on the label…
Marine Corps SOS was made with hamburger in the 60’s, actually not bad but an acquired taste at first glance!
My mother loved chipped beef on toast, and made it throughout the rest of her life. I had forgotten about it. Thanks for the memory!
yeah, I haven’t had it in ages, I’ll have to lay some in
Me either! Funny! I haven’t had it since my mom made it a VERY long time ago.
stouffers has it ..
Not allowed in our house growing up. My dad had to eat it too many times in WW2
booger
My dad too – same reason.
He also loved his beer icy cold. When he was in India and Tinian, the GIs would take their ration of beer, bury it, pour fuel on top and light it up. When the fire was out, the hot beer was a bit cooler!
A good tip in case you are ever stranded on a south sea island!
👍🏻 good to know lady !! lol 🧡
booger .. when i was taking care of my mother when she had dementia….. sometimes she would cry and cry … “about all the young men that had gone off to war” …and i mean , really distraught .. she was reliving that time in her life.. and then too, sometimes she would call out for her mother and father.. it brings tears to my eyes..
❤️ annie
Yup. And no Spam, either.
Gotten it often Annie…good stuff 😂🤣👍
🇺🇸💪😀👍
A close comparison dish still found in the South is biscuits and sausage gravy. Really tasty if just the right amount of pepper is used and the gravy is made with minimal grease.
Biscuits Gravy ’24
The combination the United States needs.
My mother made something similar with boiled eggs – creamed eggs on toast.
We weren’t fancy so we just called it golden rod eggs.
Boiled egg whites into the cream gravy with yokes crumbled on top.
Served on toast.
Yumm yumm…
Looks YUM!
This one I hadn’t heard of, soooo, going simple recipe hunting, THANK YOU!!!
maybe PresTrump can get the GOP to add it to the party platform …
But Monti… the grease is part of the dish. Lol. Really odd now that you mention it, the sausage I buy from the farm to table butcher, hand ground and seasoned in-house, doesn’t have excessive grease. I use it in lieu of butter to make the roux with the flour and use whole milk.. or evaporated milk… or a bit of half and half for special occasions for a totally different flavor. A beef bouillion cube, coarse black pepper.
Hi JWoo, see my reply to Monti. 😁
I think we all need breakfast… we are not eating here yet. Kid is working in her Apologetics test and I’m proctering.
The only thing we are working on is green tea with honey.
Contemplating a gym run and that will affect our food lineup for the day. Can’t go to the gym too hungry, else we are inclined to eat fatty tacos afterwards!
Hi JWoo!
There is a n art to making good gravy and you must have the ability JWoo
Morning Monti, now you and JWoo have me drooling. Biscuits are not on my diet but gravy is, occasionally. And the venison pan sausage in my freezer has just the right amount of fat in it with the 10% pork added in.
Good morning GrandpaM!
Venison is a big yes. We mix venison with butt pork or beef rump roast and then grind to make rough equivalent to ground beef. Its great for making spaghetti or burgers or what have you. Venison is way to dry to make ground patties out of by itself.
Unless it is axis. I don’t add anything to it. It’s very lean but moist so the ground patties are great. Not good for dry sausage, though. Too moist.
morning monti ….. and with some fried apples !🍎 🍏
Good morning annie!
Yes on the fried apples!
And if one wants to go full lumberjack breakfast add grits and eggs.
🧡 !!
Grits…. yummmm
Mornin’ Woo
Finally something I can eat! 😁
Between my self imposed restriction on meat and this new gluten problem thingy, I’m odd man out!
But, love grits. And, I found a really good gluten free popover recipe. Came out crusty on the outside, eggy inside. With a quarter pound of butter, they are pretty tolerable!
beautiful!
Thanks, annie
I think the presentation of popovers helps with the flavor! Secret is- NEVER open the oven while baking, don’t over stir the batter, and use a pan specifically for popovers, (not a muffin tin).
Then – smother with butter!
Oh, also – start very hot 425° and turn down for the last half hour.
Easier than I have made it sound. 😁
well .. i did buy a popover pan once upon a time .. and promptly never used it .
That is a work of art, Corny!!! I bet it is DELICIOUS!
My mom, when I was a little girl, used to make Yorkshire pudding – and Betsy is going to correct me on this, I’m sure because I’m naive to them – but it was flour, eggs, pan drippings and onions. It came out so fluffy and delectable.
I couldn’t do it. I tried mine in a ribbed, cast iron skillet and it was just a mess and mostly overcooked. Yours is lovely and looks like something I would be proud to plate at a fine dinner. Wish I could pull it off.
You can!
These are eggs, cream, melted butter, and gluten free flour. Never could make them as good as my dad’s – but, certainly passable. While hot from the oven, use every scrap of butter in your house on them and borrow more from the neighbors!
Maybe because I tried to make the yorkshire pudding in a casserole style version? Yours are so pretty and tall!!! I don’t have a crock that shape, but I bet a muffin tin would do. Do you separate the yokes from the whites and whip the whites fluffy to fold them in – as if you were making a belgian waffle?
We only do butter and Smart Balance in this household and it’s a weakness of mine. Yours sounds to die for!
No, just beat the eggs, add cream, butter, and then flour. Dad always said to not scrape the bowl – so I don’t. They need lots of heat so try to leave empty spaces in your muff tin. Mmmmmmm
The grits questioning in My Cousin Vinny was brilliant!
Fried apples are a favorite at our house… so easy… just apples, a spot of brown sugar, cinnamon and allspice. We keep lots of raw nuts in the house too… so we will add pecans and chopped dates to make it special. You’re making me so hungry and I’m trying to focus on the gym trip.
good morning woo 🧡
and the apples smell sooo good while cooking !
Thaaaaaat sounds GOOD!
As I attempt to go back on my low carb diet….
Man alive, Joan, that sounds good!
Make some! Super simple. I recommend a combination of apple varieties. Fry in a sauce pan over medium high heat, turning. The apples release their juices and the brown sugar caramelizes. I forgot the ginger – crystallized if you have it – ground is fine too for a spicy kick. Leave the skins on.
When I was a kid, my mom would make biscuits and chocolate gravy for special occasions.
oh my gosh ! i’ve never heard of that .. did she really ?? 🧡
Yes, she did. She was from Arkansas and many moms and grandma’s from the south knew about this delicacy.
arkansas is beautiful.. i only been there once .
We often ate warm biscuits served in a bowl, each half slathered with soft butter, topped with warm maple syrup. Eaten with a spoon of course. 😋
We use sorghum or honey our still warm biscuits. Simple things can be so great
tuna and peas
-and mushrooms
(for a touch of gourmet 😜)
Hi Patience! ❤️
Hello, Pa❣️
-💖
Hi Patience!
Happy Sunday, Monticello!
looks good, Patience
I’ll have to try it, will go with albacore
It was served often to this Navy man ..54-58…I liked it 🤣…grandson in Navy now hates it ..🤷🏻♂️btw.. I still eat it as it gets colder here in NCFL🤣..
🇺🇸💪😀👍
SOS! My dad served in WW2 and all through our childhood he made SOS for us. It was awesome. It was my favorite meal. He was a great ‘short order’ cook anyway.
I had a friend whose shortcut version of SOS was made with a sauce of undiluted cream of mushroom soup, plenty of butter, and a generous amount of cream sherry. Usually served for a late lunch while we listened to Jerry Lee Lewis at high volume. Fortunately no close neighbors. 🤗
that sounds wild ….. and i love it.
It really is! Try it some time. You’ll be grinning from ear to ear
Mind you, this gentleman’s culinary range was yuuge. He also made the world’s best quennelles. His were made with poached, flaked Dover sole. My favorite fish on earth. He was the husband of a friend from work, and I came to love them both like family. Don’t you just love it when a friend is married to someone you like equally as much? Such a blessing.
Good old S.O.S.
One of my favorites. Who knew those jars of dried beef would become unaffordable and scarce.
Growing up, my mom put creamed everything on toast. Lol
Good to see you, Gramadeb. ❤️
This is our customary Treeper Church Sunday benediction. We post it here as a way of inviting our visitors to experience the soulful experience of solace. This is intentionally a quiet place. We hope the presence of Our Lord will inspire a little faith. Our Lord loves us and want’s to be a part of His Family. All it takes to do this is our personal acceptance our Him. Do this and you are in . . .
Our Sunday has begun and the service is at hand… thank you, Garrison. Might I add a couple of musical additions as well
Thanks, benzy 🙂
Blessed morning Garrison and Tink. Praying for you and beloved Texas.
The things we can’t control, we commit to God.
And a most blessed Sunday for you, also, dear ‘Woo. Little ‘Tink sends you a nice paw wave . . . Good kitty.
Bless-ed Sunday, Garrison and to every friend who has found his or her way to the branches of this Tree 💕
Something gentle from Elgar I think…
Every day ushers in new mercies and blessings. Thanks be to our loving Father 🙏🏻
May God bless and protect us friends ♰🙏🇺🇲
AMEN. Peace Patience
Blessed day to you, lightworker1. Sorry to leave you out of my missive earlier – didn’t mean to. There are so many here who are so very important and appreciated. You included, my dear friend.
Amen, Sis.
God Mornin’ Patience
Reminiscent of my New England home. You’ve got me feeling nostalgic. ❤️
Have a blessed evening and coming week, dear Patience . . . 🙂
so lovely Betsy thank you for sharing. Peace
God Mornin’ Bets
Hope the visit with the grand was heavenly! 👼
God morning (still for you), Corny 💕 It was lovely and too short, thank you 😊 We learned that he is thriving, and that what we equipped him with as far as discernment and critical thinking skills go is deeply embedded.
He told us he was able to get Brian on his own for a few minutes to tell him he was so glad to see his mother happy. We are so proud of the man he has become…
All is well. We can’t ask for anything better than that 😁👍🏻
The best of times! And, by the way – take a little bow for your part in raising this magnificent young man. 👏
Thank you for your kind words, Bet. Always welcome, especially today. Thanks, love. . . 🙂
Thank you and good Sunday, my man Garrison❣️
———-
Howdy Garrison! Have to wake up Nipper soon and whip up a couple of pancakes before we head out to church. Good to be home again.
Good Blessed am to all Treeper friends… chilly morning here in NCFL… Fall is certainly at the doorstep 🤣… very welcome d..👏👍.. hope everyone has good vibes going fwd..🙏

absolutely a beautiful morning here in northwest florida also , jim 🧡
Mornin’ annie
In the 40’s this am in very southern AZ. Cleared the vine off our chimney and are ready for the first evening fire of the season.
Afternoon temps will be in the 80’s, so we’re not suffering! 😉
oh !! i’ll be getting mine ready shortly.. i usually have my first inside fire of the season on halloween night..
whether it’s needed, or not !
Yep, we’ve actually had to open a window or two just to have one on Christmas!
Where in NW FL, my amazing rescue dog came from there!
pensacola/ alabama state line area EE 🧡
Yup, that’s where she came from. Idiot girl walks into the shelter there, gives them her name then tells them she found dog on the road. My future fur baby was chipped, by the stupid girl no less!!! They said, wait, this is your dog, she fled, I got lucky!!! She is supposed to be around 12 pounds, she was 5!!! All ribs showing , and terrified of people, especially males. Four years later, all issues fixed. Love her SO much!!!
Beautiful morning here in Texas, Jim. Sunroof open on new truck. Tuned to great classical music station. In that small, constructed environment, life can seem better, at least for awhile. Have a blessed Sunday and coming week, my friend. 🙂
Mornin’ Gramps
Can we make those potato pancakes? I can eat those, and slathered with butter (let it melt first) then add a dollop of sour cream- oh my!
Howdy Gramps! 🙂
thank you Garrison as always beautiful music. Blessings to you.

Nim, Now that’s a “whooter!”
Isaiah 40:28 “Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth
Does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable.”
The Greatness of God
God is eternal—He has no beginning or end (Psalm 90:2) and is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
No one created Him; He simply is.
That’s hard for humans to understand, as His ways sometimes are (Romans 11:33).
But we should be thankful our God is far greater than what we are able to grasp.

Lookie there!
A Maine coon owl!!!
lol, that’s very good greg
😃 😀 😄 😁 🤣
Well done Annie! 🤣
thank you Feisty the majesty of the human spirit. Peace
A line from the feminist song, I Am Woman…”…I-come back even stronger, not a novice any longer…”
Israel Update:
-In my opinion the most significant news today is something that was not much known.
The Intel Community of the US (probably NSA or CIA) leaked two highly classified documents to an Iranian linked Telegram channel. The documents detailed the preparations of Israel for an attack on Iran. It specifies satellite surveillance on a number of Israeli
Air-Force bases and indicates what kinds of missiles and how many were moved to positions and specifies names of missiles that are not known (secret) and what missiles in what bases.
Then there is a wiretap of Israeli drill of the attack mentioning a combination of kinds of airplanes and drones which will be launched, including Intel airplanes. It’s new documents which I saw and look authentic with DoD circulation of limited personnel. I checked out the Telegram Channel and he says that he received it from an anonymous source and didn’t know if it was true and he have more documents that he didn’t publish and he is bragging that he managed to delay the Israeli attack. Sources in the US Intel and DoD establishments of the US referred to it as serious and did not deny the authenticity. Some downplayed it as if the content will not influence the Israeli plans. The US is investigating the matter.
Note: Why on Earth are US resources used against Israel in a time of war?
-To make it worse, today Kamala Harris responded to a student who said that “Israel is committing genocide” with : “What he is talking about is real”.
He accused Israel of killing 19,000 children that is a complete fabrication. They count terrorists of the ages 17,18,19 old as “children”. If Israel said it killed 17,000-19,000 terrorists then the % of children don’t add up. Anyways she also bought into the fabrication of “starvation in Gaza”. NOBODY in Gaza died of starvation. Those who went to safe zones have plenty of food. Those who refuse to obey evacuation orders and are used as human shields may have scarcity of food in areas like North Gaza. But overall the number of food trucks that make it to Gaza are insane.
-Trump said that Bibi told him that “because he doesn’t listen to Biden Israel is doing good in the war”. I don’t have the exact words of what he said but something to this effect.
-Gaza is trying to inflate the numbers of people killed in an IDF attack in a place that is called Beit Lahiha. They publish some crazy numbers like 80 to over a hundred. This is such a lie that the Speaker of The IDF had to make a statement that they lie. Anyways, Beit Lahiah is a neighborhood that the IDF almost didn’t touch and left to the end. I think because we suspect that many hostages are there. There is a strong attack in the area. I feel that the IDF got intel that Sinwar had and are going towards that hostages.
-I said the day before about massive attacks in Jabalia North Gaza.
Today we have videos of many terrorists surrender. Signs that Hamas is breaking?
-Kamenai the Supreme Leader of Iran Tweeted in Hebrew that “Hamas is alive and will stay alive”. Go figure why a Shia leader thousands of miles away is so obsessed with annihilating Israel? I saw other tweets in recent weeks. In Hebrew. The man is 84 years old.
-A drone attack on the house of Bibi. It came from Lebanon. They were not at home. Minor damage to property but yet this is an attack that should follow with a similar response in Iran.
Bibi published a defiant video saying “they made a serious mistake”.
-Israel is dropping leaflets in Gaza saying that “Sinwar destroyed Gaza and anyone that will help with getting the hostages will get to leave and live. “
God bless you my friends.
I also saw a video from the former CEO of Sodastream. He is offering $100,000 for anyone in Gaza to give back a hostage who is alive. With a deadline of Wednesday.
Love the Sodastream guy!
As to and the paragraph content preceding it: “The US is investigating the matter.” I doubt this. My tiny opinion, this size of a leak was caused by someone with a VERY LARGE EGO (Obama?), who did it because Bibi defied Biden/Harris (Obama). Obama is very dangerous. He never really left the(metaphoric) White House. When Trump gets in 🙏🏼he needs to charge and prosecute them all with treason!
“”[T]his is an attack that should follow with a similar response in Iran. Bibi published a defiant video saying “they made a serious mistake.”” YES! Khamenei and as many of those who could replace him, all at once! I would also like to see those who leaked the documents etc., taken out, US operative(s)? Fine by me! One or more pieces of trash in this country gone.
Love the leaflets, love the Sodastream guy! THANKS DAVID!
Kamenahi has his son slotted to replace him. They are both on the aim.
Depending on who will replace them.
Khamenei (how is his name really spelled anyway, you would know), aim, his son, aim, replacements, aim, aim, aim, aim, aim, aim…
A delay to your extremely timely updates, still thought you might like to see:

👍
So defending ones life is murder? Kamala says this?
Never in history has defending ones life and ones country from attack been described as genocide or murder.
In America post Obama everything is political and the “fundamental change” is the biggest lies ever told.
Kamala is worse than Biden. I have said so for a long time. He at least an old timer and had some pro-Israel education. I am speaking from an Israeli point of view.
The view of Israel supporters here too.
Monti
In truth, he (hate even writing his name) did indeed make changes to our beloved country which we may not survive. And, through his surrogates, he still is. Please, everyone, vote as though the survival of this country is at stake. I have never in my long life voted early, but we drove a 3 hour round trip to do just that on Friday.
PS
I have defended my life in the past, and will do do so in the future if necessary. Those WWII vets we discussed earlier would expect nothing less from us. ❤️
Well stated, the survival of this country IS at stake.
Iran is pushing to start ww3, prayers up! At 83, the ayatollah is past his expiration date. Still praying for all y’all—when I heard Bono’s house was targeted—was shocked. Retaliation soon? Here we are 16 days out for impending peace-praying for all-esp hostages.
Bibi…
Iran is a “lion of paper”. They are not even close to have a World War. Russia and China will not join them.
Remeber that Iran couldn’t win against Iraq for years and the US crushed Iraq in a week. When Israel starts to show its capabilities on the Iranians you will see.
Mossad et al.
❤️ ☀️ 🇮🇱 🙏 David: Shavuah Tov. I think I can sense your pain, including the betrayal of our beloved Israel by our US government which has been hijacked by very evil, heartless, and soul-less people.
You asked THE most important question in your mind (mine, as well):
“Why on Earth are US resources used against Israel in a time of war?”
Israel is the best ally the USA has ever had.
There are so many reasons and a few stand out to me now.
In the minds of antisemites, Jews are NOT allowed to WIN or fight back and win.
The rules of war as applied to Jews keep changing on the whim of others.
So, if Jews FAIL, Thomas Sowell said the antisemitism will stop. That’s not a price I’m willing to pay.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
The video you so highly recommended that we Americans DIGEST yesterday points to what / who leaked imo.
America, including her government, is being hijacked by Muslim Jihadists.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Two sources I trust are saying the following:
Son of Hamas @MosabHasanYosef
tweet – Oct 19 2024
A mole in the Pentagon
Someone in the pentagon leaked highly classified documents regarding Israel’s strike on Iran.
Americans who are pro “Palestine” or anti Israel should never get security clearance to the Pentagon or any national security premises.
Anti Israel freaks think they can end the conflict by donating high classified information to Ayatollah.
Investigation is underway.
I bet they are American Muslims employed during the Hussein Obama era.
source: https://nitter.poast.org/MosabHasanYOSEF/status/1847790652115005793#m
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Mosab continues in discussion following above tweet:
The Mossad/CIA would usually misinform their opponents using double agents within the enemy ranks not on Telegram.
The moment classified documents become public knowledge the enemy would assume change of plans.
This is most likely a “politically motivated” security breach.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
This was retweeted by LibsOfTikTok:

I don’t think people understand how serious this is…
Intelligence being leaked to a regime that regularly tries to kill Americans is a major red flag.
Those responsible must be found and sent to prison for a long time.
source: https://nitter.poast.org/AGHamilton29/status/1847801131076112891#m
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
AGHamilton29 continues in discussion following above tweet:
It appears [the intelligence was obtained] mostly via surveillance of Israel, which is normal.
We spy on allies all the time.
We just usually don’t leak it to enemy terror regimes.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

I do believe all of the above to be true at this point.
And it breaks my heart AND really angers me.
🇮🇱 God Bless and Protect all of Israel, including her Leaders, soldiers, and Hostages.
🇺🇸 God Bless and Protect President Trump and all the good guys around the World.
And, God, we thank you for all the miracles and ask for as many more as is necessary to have Israel truly WIN decisively this 7-front War AND for President Trump to win in a TOO-BIG-TO-RIG decisive, landslide victory on Nov 5.
Amen 🙏 🇮🇱 🇺🇸 🙏

Not $13,000 but 32,000. The bag of Madam Sinwar. I made a mistake. I saw the brand and image on Israeli media.
They live underground

howdy burro… wishing we were all at the camp fire circle together… sharing.
These criminals crawling around in their holes are gross and obscene. Feigning cheshire cat smiles, while their motives go *boom*. Can’t stand the sight of them.

This is creepy, remember I said yesterday that Rumble grabbed Info? I signed up for emails a while back, then cancelled. Yesterday I clicked on link you gave to see what posted, no long after, I got an email from Rumble. I did not sign in (no account ever, I only ever signed up for emails), but had not received any since I canceled, until, I went to look at what you posted. I just clicked on the link for tank shot that injured Sinwar. I wonder if I will get another email from Rumble. No worries, I”ll just send it to spam.
That generally means they know your IP address, short of installing a VPN (proton has a <free one>), you can unplug the power from your modem overnight & it should give you a new IP address.
You can check your IP address in various ways but <GRC.com> is a security info website that I learned from 20+ years ago.
That page above will report to you your IP, deeper reading will enlighten you on things to check from their site to see if you have security holes into your system.
I have a good VPN, so your suggestion to unplug my modem overnight to get a new one is GREATLY appreciated, as is the remainder (GRC.com)!!! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the Treepers on the Open Thread are very kind!!! Thank you My Magic Wand!!!
Thanks, since you have a VPN have your changed your IP? … if you haven’t change to a different location … if you have then you a a persistent cookie in your browser … I like brave, I have it set to clear everything every time it is closed.
You can use youtube as a test… when you can connect to Utube and it displays this screen, you are stealthed:
I’ll upload the screen shot a bit later I guess, postimages is not accepting uploads due to maintenance.
screenshot of youtube that is blank with no suggestions … start browsing for suggestions…. it says.
If it fills your screen with video suggestions … Alphabet knows who you are.
I just saw this, I hope you get notified of my reply! THANK YOU AGAIN SO MUCH!!!
I don’t subscribe to notifications anymore, It make take me a day to 2 to go back to known conversations… I added the screeny of the Utube being dumbfounded & no info to populate their suggestion area, which I’m guessing you already saw.
I wish our ballot boxes had cameras like that.
Pretty good camera.
You know Freedom,
When I was a little girl, I would go to our town hall with my mother when she voted. They had her read a paragraph from the Constitution beforehand. So they knew she could read!can you imagine that now! 😃 😀 😄 😄
The last set is over. Customers/audience are gone or leaving. It’s after-hours for the musicians. The after hours are always interesting. Here are three views of ‘closing time’ . . .
thanks for sharing Garrison and never heard of Jim Hall, but he has soul. Peace

“unplug them people”
🙂
Tunnel demolitions in South Lebanon by the Israeli border.
Note that those tunnels are in rocks (unlike Gaza that are in sand). Therefore there are maybe less and it take tones if dynamite to demolish them. It’s a hard work.
IDF shoots down a drone. It happens a few times daily. Unfortunately we are still working on better solutions as the % success is not high enough. One or two of 10 make it through.
If you missed it yesterday check it out now. The disappointment of Sinwar about his 72 virgins in his Heaven.
https://rumble.com/v5j7qyl-an-update-from-hell.-sinwar-meets-the-72-virgins..html
Never quite understood the fantasy of the “reward” of 72 – whether they be virgins or not. Every man on planet earth who ever lived will testify that 1 is probably more than us men can handle, and even then we’re mostly in the dark as to “what woman want”. I suggest any wannabe “martyr” take a minute and read it through. Believe me brother, you don’t want what they’re selling.
Why martyrdom and 72 virgins might actually suck.
To be sure, the allure of 72, 22 or even 2 radiant maidens’ patiently waiting and presumably dedicated to nothing other than fulfilling the desires of the soon to be deceased sounds pretty good on paper. However a study of the fine print and a bit of common sense must surely reveal a more sobering reality. The first thing that becomes plainly (and painfully) obvious is that after six days and nights of frantic, but exhaustive “knowing” – and presumably the point, you now have 72 ex virgins each with a unique set of challenges. 1.) Probably half of them won’t really like you. 2.) At least a third won’t like each other. 3.) Ten want to visit their Mother every other day. 4.) Twenty will be on the phone all morning. 5.) Fifteen will be having mood swings. 6.) Three will adore you and consequently hate the rest. 7.) Then there will be one you really love, who is despised by all the rest. 8.) You’ll have to remember each and every birth/death day (since you’re all spirits now) 9.) You’ll need 73 decoders to watch telly (nobody ever wants to watch the same channel) 10.) All your mates are in the same predicament and nobody’s got time for golf. 11.) There’s no escape clause in the contract, and 12.) You’re in it for eternity.
Took a screenshot of this for furthering to others.
I’m chuckling…….it’s funny, but it ain’t funny……but it’s funny!

Pretty picture!
I think I see where I want to cast some bait into the water!
One of my fifth great grandfathers was given a piece of land somewhere on Green River for his Revolutionary War service.
He later sold it and moved further east. One piece of land he later sold after moving to Eastern Kentucky is maybe five miles from me as the crow flies. I was pretty stunned to learn that as I didn’t grow up in this county.
He later moved deeper into Eastern Kentucky.
I’ve not been to Green River, so it’s nice to actually see a pic of it.
Thanks for thinking of me!

Thought is was just my incompetence, but couldn’t post pics last evening. I would hate to miss your fantastic offerings. 😊
no incompetence from you , missy 🧡
The postimages site was down for me, too, Corny. I had to use imgur.
I say Funny.
I do not know how far back the 72 virgins thing goes, or who came up with it, but I always thought it was a very sick concept on SO MANY levels!
Yep!

It’s probably not your favorite kind of music (Rap) but in Israel it’s not about criminals and sex. It’s about the situations.
This one is starting with footage from the 10/7 villages that were massacred and follows with footage from Gaza war.
As a note the word “Fauda” means in Arabic “chaos”.
The singer with the black clothes and Star of David is a major social media personality with a half million followers (that would be like tens of millions in US proportions) . He is all about the War and he represents the right of Israeli politics, some of my videos are taken from him. .
Powerful song. I can see where this band goes right in politics. Now is the time to pick your side. Good vs evil. Tomorrow comes. God Bless ❤️🙏🏽

Papua New Guinea
I heard music like this in the Terrence Malick film The Thin Red Line
I’m wondering if this chorale-style music is truly indigenous or instead resulted from contact with Western missionaries who would have brought hymns of Western-style music
anyone know ? before I go beating the internet search engines?
thx
If you find out, and if anyone can it will be you, please let me/us know.
A combination of indigenous “parts” singing and later introduction of European hymns, apparently
first article I clicked described indigenous singing from Captain Cook’s 2nd and 3rd voyages, so that was there before large-scale cultural colonization by the West could take place
But many links and records that come up in search have distinct European hymn origin
articles also mention indigenous chorale singing in other non-european locales like China and VietNam
Pacific Islands and Australia – International Research Center for Traditional Polyphony
Pacific Islands and Australia
Covering about half of our planet (but only a fraction of the world’s population), the Pacific Ocean is the home of an amazing richness of vocal polyphonic traditions. Both Marius Schneider in his 1934-1935 “History of Polyphony” and later Alan Lomax in his 1968 “Folk Song Style and Culture” placed the Oceania islands (particularly Polynesia and Melanesia) among the three most polyphonic major regions of the world (the two others being sub-Saharan Africa and Europe).
Polynesia
Perhaps one of the most important historical lessons that Oceania (and particularly Polynesia) taught European musicology (in the 18th century) was the shock of the discovery that well-organized part-singing can exist far from European civilization. The very first encounters of European travelers with the Pacific Ocean Island communities brought to light their strong predilection towards vocal polyphonic singing. From 1773 records come the following descriptions: “This set most of the women in the circle singing their songs were musical and harmonious, noways harsh or disagreeable”, or: “Not their voices only but their music also was very harmonious & they have considerable compass in their notes” (Beaglehole, 1962:246). Some descriptions are even more precise: “They sing in parts, keeping the same time and varying the four notes without ever going beyond them. So many singers and so few notes you always hear the whole together. The difference of Words & Voices makes some variety. The singers (that I heard) were all women. One confined herself entirely to the Lower Note which acted as Drone” – this eloquent description comes from Cook’s second 1772-1775 voyage (Burney 1975:84. Cited from Kaeppler et al., 1998:14). Very clear information on the Oceanic people’s part-singing capability came from Cook’s third voyage as well: “Where there is a great number they divide into several parts each of whom sings on a different key which makes a very agreeable music (Beaglehole, 1967:2:944. Cited from Kaeppler et al., 1998:14).
Voices of the Pacific: the (ch)oral traditions of Oceania (Chapter 13) – The Cambridge Companion to Choral Music
Summary
In the beginning …
From the time that the ancient voices of Oceania were first heard, tens of thousands of years ago, there was singing. The songs belonged to the indigenous cultures that inhabited the many islands of the Pacific. They sang about their ancestors, their relationship with the land, their daily lives, and they told their Creation stories and communicated with their deities.
In the Pacific, singing represented an elevated form of verbal utterance. Singing, chanting, or intoning was deemed the most effective way to communicate with the deities, and the one sure way to appeal to the human appetites of the Polynesian pantheon was through good singing. Poets, composers, and choreographers (often one and the same person and highly regarded) wrote songs and choreographed dances, which added the visual dimension to the expression of the words. The singing traditions in Eastern Polynesia were unison, while those in the Western Polynesian tradition were choral, that is, they sang in parts. The songs were part of daily life and, more important, ritual, and the ability to sing was a part of the individual’s self-identity. So great was the power of the uttered word expressed in both song and dance that the role given to instrumental music was comparatively small.
Songs were defined essentially by their function, and great expectation and importance were attached to the singing of them. Performances were socially significant, and ridicule and shame were attached to anyone who did not perform with style and excellence; for example, when a leader failed to start the group together. Group performances at festivals and special occasions created a degree of friendly rivalry and competition. Songs (in both recited and sung styles) were categorized according to their purpose, and chant formed the basis of much of their musical content. Like the Polynesian songs, the Aboriginal songs were defined by function. Inherited networks of song lines, the songs and verses that acted as maps and guides across the land, had to be preserved.
It took more than a century and the discovery of many more vocal polyphonic traditions in different parts of the world untouched by European civilization (including the central African rainforests and Papua New Guinea) to subdue European arrogance and convince professional musicologists that at least not all polyphony was an invention of medieval monks. But let us leave this matter until the second and third parts of the book.
The great success of Christian hymns in Polynesia was the result of the natural closeness of European polyphonic traditions and the polyphonic traditions of the Oceanic peoples. According to Alan Lomax, “In one way, the singing of Oceania stands in marked contrast to that of other regions: many choral performances, though set in irregular or free rhythm, are nevertheless performed in excellent concert. The only other area in the world where choruses commonly sing in free rhythm, yet in good concert, is Old Europe. It seems likely that this peculiarity, along with a shared preference for text-heavy, polyphonic performances with drone chords, facilitated the adoption of the Central European hymn style, especially by the Polynesians” (Lomax, 1968:91).
Polyphonic traditions are spread on all three groups of the Pacific islands: Polynesia, Melanesia and Micronesia. Although the late European polyphonic style became very popular in Oceania from the moment Christian hymns spread among them, more ancient, indigenous stylistic features of their traditional polyphony had been also documented. For example, despite their disagreement about several important issues, both Kaeppler and Moyle note the importance of drone polyphony among earlier layers of Tongan polyphonic traditions, one of the best preserved in Polynesia (Kaeppler, 1994:462-463; Moyle, 1987:149). Tongan Lakalaka, a symphony-long grand composition in four and five choral parts, divided into antiphonal groups, were specially composed by punake who created the skeleton of the new lakalaka. The skeleton mostly comprises the main melodies (fasi), and the harmonization of the melodies usually becomes a communal event. Kaeppler gives a fascinating detailed account of how one of the lakalakas was written: “On November 1975, Ve’ehala [name of a composer, or punake] explained to me his compositional process for his 1975 lakalaka: first he had the overall idea; then he composed the poetry; next, using melodies he could remember from previous songs, he ‘twisted them around to form something new,’ which for his 1975 composition took about two hours; the poetry was written on a blackboard; then he sang the melody and ‘the people harmonized it by themselves’” (Kaeppler, 1994:463). Traditional terminology also clearly distinguishes the functions of different parts, like fasi (main melody), laulalo (second part, lower than melody, often a drone, particularly in earlier-style singing), and several decorating parts (teuteu).
Fasi and laulalo were the most important ingredients of the polyphonic texture, and the number of decorating parts could vary and even reach six. Kaeppler gives a good description of six-part singing still being remembered by older singers in the 1960s: “According to a few knowledgeable musicians in 1960, indigenous singing had as many as six parts.
seems you almost need to be a musicologist to know when you’re hearing what, although if you’re super-familiar with Western hymnal music, perhaps you can recognize when you’re hearing that
Solomon Island. Pen Pipers
New Guinea
New Guinea is the biggest land area of the Melanesia. It is also an important region for the polyphonic traditions. For example, the Indonesian province of West Papua (formerly Irian Jaya) is home to several mountain peoples from the Central Irian Jaya regions, who widely use vocal polyphony: the Moni, Dani, and Yali.
The songs of another mountain people, the Moni ,“are famous for a thick harmonic texture, with melodies sung in parallel motion on chords using ninths and elevenths, transcribable as C-E-G-B-D-F, over a bass drone” (Chenoweth et al, 1998:584). Yali polyphony is more adventurous – their songs are based on two- four-part contrapuntal polyphony.
Micronesia
Micronesian group singing traditions are sometimes considered to be close to the Southeastern Asian polyphonic traditions of mountain Vietnam, Southern China, and other group singing traditions from this region (including Northeastern Indian polyphonic traditions).
Generally, polyphonic traditions in Micronesia are not as strong as in Melanesia and particularly Polynesia, and are mostly based on unison and heterophonic forms of singing. We should not forget that group antiphon and responsorial singing (in unison and octaves) is widely spread between peoples with both monophonic and polyphonic singing traditions.
Ditto my previous reply!
I KNEW you could and would! Absolutely WONDERFUL! Thank you SO very much!!! I am copying and keeping.
beautiful, Nimrodman we need more of this sound thank you. Peace
thanks, lightworker
if anyone hasn’t seen The Thin Red Line, I’d encourage a viewing
it’s a riveting war movie, but incidental scenes depict the local Solomon tribes living a peaceful life with blond-headed kids playing and fishing … the lead character looks like he’s struggling to reconcile that peace with the bloody war he’s experiencing when in action
there’s this beautiful singing during the tribal scenes
Another film I like is Farewell to the King – it’s a John Milius film also depicting WWII in the Solomons … lead character escapes a Japanese attack and ends up in the hills where the tribal people take him in …
interestingly, the hill people know to stay put and stay away from the lowlands where the fighting is taking place … however, they’re forced to venture down occasionally to get … wait for it …
salt … which I presume maybe they preserve meat with, or maybe just need a certain amount of for basic life health (the iodine? the salt itself?)

and this!
Shingles is caused by the reactivation of the chickenpox virus and typically starts with a painful rash, often on one side of the body, along with itching, burning, or tingling. Complications can include postherpetic neuralgia (chronic pain after the rash heals) and, in rare cases, eye or nerve damage. Treatment usually involves antiviral medications and pain management, and vaccination is recommended for older adults to reduce the risk of developing shingles.
I got the 2 rounds of Shingrix vaccine last year so I think I’m set
20 or so years ago I had a brief symptom but it didn’t progress to a full breakout
it was a sharp burning around my waist, like a red-hot wire just above my waist band
Extreme stress caused me to break out in a bad case of it about 6 months ago. I had no idea what was going on at the time. After what big pharma and the government did with the Covid 19 vaccines, I will probably never get another vaccine for anything. Then a wonderful person told me about the naturopathic combo to treat it. If it every happens again, I’m ready.
In case anyone wants to know, 1) Boiron Hypericum Peforatum, 200CK; 2) Boiron Antimonium Curium 6C, and 3) Boiron Belladonna 6 C. Whole Foods used to carry the line, but they are on Amazon.
Had it twice, it sucks and that’s an understatement. Will try Ivermectin if it occurs again
My comment won’t post but my husband and I had Shingles years ago and were able to reverse it in two weeks. I just want to see if this try will post.
I see it.
You can mix a dab of horse paste into about a teaspoonful of Cetaphil or Eucerin cream to apply topically, once or twice a day. It’s cheaper than the prescription ivermectin cream. Rx runs around $200. (Soolantra Cream)
The patent studies on treating shingles with ivermectin cream are under number:
US20130172282A1
July 4, 2013.
For some reason the a patent was never obtained supposedly because the application fees weren’t paid. .
Hope this helps along with the lysine info above.
Thank you, good to know.
My husband and I both got shingles about 10 years ago. I recognized it very early when we had a tiny rash. We immediately went on a high lysine, low arginine diet, took L-lysine capsules, used used an ointment I mixed from essential oils…
We had been eating a high arginine diet before the breakout. It took us 2 weeks to recover. Felt quite sick and much fatigue.
Even now, if I forget to use lysine and if I start eating a lot of arginine foods, I’ll feel a tingle on my back in the same spot. Then, I take action, but I do feel tired and a little sick for a couple of days. Just thought I’d mention what worked for us.
Violet,
L-lysine is excellent advice. Works on H- simplex and H- Zoster virus. Have seen many severe cases during my work in the medical industrial complex. If you use it consistently, it can cut down on incidence and severity of herpes – or effectively eliminate it from rearing it’s ugly head. Easy and inexpensive. And, since I don’t trust any vaccine any longer, for me, that is not an option.
Arginine is definitely indicated as a precursor of herpes. It’s in a lot of foods particularly nuts and seeds. Some people take arginine supplements.
Thanks for your important post. 😊
Such good info from everyone posting. Thank you so much!!!
“will never get another vaccine again”
I share that reluctance … I’ve been skipping the flu and pneumonia vaccines my medical association pushes
When I got the Shingrix treatment last year I had read that they were deploying a new mRNA shingles vaccine. I read up on Shingrix (old style, pre-mRNA), verified that that’s what I’d be getting, and physically eyeballed the vial as the pharmacist drew a dose and injected me
Think I also read that the Shingrix was being phased out. so if anyone’s looking to get a shingles vaccine, do your research, speak up, look at exactly what you’re being given, and be firm about it
Again, such important info!
thx, EE, just lived life experience

I know we have the normal “Parting Glass” version on here every Sunday, but I figured since you’re my friends you could possibly be as annoyed by the Wailin’ Jenny’s as much as I am. I looked up “parting glass worst version” and YouTube gave me some Ed Sheeran version which was barely audible so I went for the second one which was the Wailin’ Jennys which by default should be the worst one:

Now you’ve done it! I’m stressed for time this morning. So, decided to just read posts and not comment, but you changed all that!
This brought back such wonderful heart warming memories. I may have posted this before, but, we adopted a horse, Bailey, who was blind in one eye due to a brain tumor. I knew, chances were, his other eye would eventually go also – and it did. I came home from work one day to find Bailey out in a pasture, covered in cactus, unable to find his way back to the barn. He was making a noise I can only describe as sobbing. 😔
We were able to get him into a paddock near the barn and clean him up – calm him down. After that, we always kept either our burro, Lordy or mule, Maude with him. Left alone, he would panic and run freneticaly into fences and obstacles in the paddock.
One day, I was just sitting (with a nice cold Dos Equis amber in hand!) watching the three of them eating hay in the barn. Suddenly, Bailey backed away from his food – Lordy immediately came around to his front, Maude took up the rear. And they led that sweet horse to the water trough about 30 feet away. They waited while he drank (never partaking themselves) and then led him single file back to the barn. Their innate kindness and understanding just floored me. For the remainder of Bailey’s life, they never left him alone. They are all together in heaven now, caring for each other. 🙏
Thank you so much, Nim. ❤️
This is Bailey. I’ll search for a better pic.
Corny, what a spectacular story!
I’m amazed at this.
Animals know more than we think they know.
Yes, Greg
They really are so much more sentient than some give them credit. And, the empathy is embedded, natural, and real.
When our burro, Annabelle died, Lordy stood over her with tears pouring down his face – true. Now I’m doing it. 😥
Gahhhh!!!! Tears, tears, and MORE TEARS!!! I’m crying over the animals. Crying over Trump serving french fries and the delight in the patrons’ and employee’s eyes. Crying over our country. Dang it!!!!
We need a RETREAT and a month’s long vacation to get over all the bullsh!t and abuse heaped on us. Geesh. It’s Sunday and my Monday motivation is not kicking in!!!
you’re very welcome, lady
it touched me too
Oh Corny, my heart. What a fortunate thing God blessed you to witness. Cooperation and kindness. Bailey could not have been more blessed to have such a loving, understanding, and safe home.
I was in tears watching it! Amazing!!!! Thanks again Nim!!! Loved it so much I’ve posted twice!!!

Sheila Scott
(1927-1988)
English aviator who completed the 1st round-the-world solo flight by a woman, dies of cancer at 61
Biography: Scott was the first British pilot to fly solo around the world, and broke more than 100 light-aircraft records between 1965 and 1972.
Beginning her career as a nurse during WWII, Scott also worked as a model and an actress until 1960, when she earned her pilot’s license and bought an old biplane from the Royal Air Force.
Scott first flew around the world in 1966, completing the trip in 189 flying hours. She was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 1968.
The amount of things most of my career that are based on his work is astounding to me. I mean, sure some other guys might have come up with it all eventually. But guys like Dirac, Pauli, Einstein, etc…I don’t know why God gave us so many men like that at one time, but Lord I am thankful.
I think understanding Creation is the highest calling a man can pursue. I also fully believe that we are like blind idiots trying to feel around in a cavern in a mountain we don’t even know is there. And I do not believe for a moment that God is hiding anything from us. I believe the opposite…that God is screaming it all at us because He wants us to see it. To see his wonderful creation. But we can only do so much, see so much, understand so much. And we are so slow.
And I think sometimes God gives gifts to men to move them a long a bit. It’s not pride exactly. But love. God loves his creation. He loves us. He wants us to see it all for what it is. But we are just so slow to see it. He’s not impatient, but I do believe God looks forward to the day all can be revealed to his children. How exciting is it to be one of His? And how exciting is it to do the things we do and learn about Creation. To learn about the amazing things God can do.
Have a blessed Sunday all.
Got Geisha and Buckley groomed Friday. They don’t like going but they sure like the results. Ole Geisha is a loving, gentle, and generally easygoing girl. Buckley is young and athletic and full of spit and vinegar, but lets us knows he loves us in many ways. Last night he curled up between Sherry and I and went to sleep with his head on my shoulder.
Today I’m going to try and mow for the first time since my stroke. We’ll see how it goes. There will be at least a couple more mowings to do this year to grind up leaves if nothing else. The big cotton wood has dropped about all it’s leaves and they’re already ground up, but the maple trees and Chinese elm haven’t even started to drop yet.
Dinner tonight will be meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, and Italian cut green beans.
Good to hear things are going better for you rah
Am smilin for you, rah.

❤️ to all of the above and below!
The full Boccherini Madrid Experience (not just the little bit from Master and Commander).
Seriously this is one of the most outrageously inspired classical pieces ever conceived by a dude that pretty much everyone forgot about. Mostly because he didn’t do anything else of much note. Man I just love it. Every bit sounds good. There is so much attitude poured into this piece and for me, a banjo player, attitude and angst is my favorite stuff in music. Which is why I also love punk rock. Seriously, just let this piece take you on a journey. You’ll thank me.
But here it is for you guys, because I know while we aren’t all like super sophisticated or anything, we know what we like, and we like good stuff. Here you go:
Just to give some context here. The “pluck pluck” that keeps going on in the earlier part of the piece is to represent that Boccherini as a modern composer (modern in his time of course) was trying to create a nice soft polished piece, but that ain’t how music was done in Madrid at the time. Music in Madrid was fast paced and violin heavy. So that “pluck pluck” was a constant reminder to the composer to “get on with it”.
And get on with it Boccherini did. He followed it with his most famous bit as seen in the movie Master and Commander. That piece was loved by youths of the time (by youths I mean youths of means…most common youths couldn’t play an instrument let alone a violin or cello).
The events of Master and Commander take place in 1800….20 years after Boccherini composed his Music of Madrid piece, and 4 years before he died of old age. Both Captain Aubrey and the “philosopher of science” Stephen Maturin, himself a half Spaniard both learned their instruments when they were young and Boccherini was big time for a short time. People nowadays think big time music stars are a modern thing, but no…was the same then. The fact that both Aubrey and Maturin knew this Boccherini piece was just like two dudes knowing the words to “Santeria” by Sublime. It just means we both grew up in the 90s. And Aubrey and Maturin knowing this one song means they both came of age in the 1780s…which they did.
The entire point of the song for these men was to show off their musicianly prowess. It’s not even the best part of Boccherini’s piece as I have submitted to you in whole. But the violin part was obviously something young men of the time would have considered in the same way that modern young men consider doing Stairway to Heaven or some ACDC opening on guitar. It was considered “badass” in it’s time. I like to think it has transcended that to become simply “a good listen”.
I hope yall enjoy both the music and the history. And the fact that humans will always human and will never be that different down the centuries. God be praised and the creek don’t rise.

Game And Fish Discover and Tag Two More Giant Catfish on the Platte River
In a surprising discovery, Wyoming Game and Fish officials have located two more massive catfish while conducting a fish count on the Platte River.
The discovery was made during their routine electrofishing survey, a process in which electric rods are used to temporarily stun the fish, allowing biologists to safely collect data.
The two giant catfish, each measuring over six feet in length, were found lurking in deeper pools of the river, an area known for its thriving fish populations.
Officials reported that the catfish were temporarily paralyzed by the electric current, giving them enough time to tag and collect critical data on the specimens.
After using tarps to carefully secure the massive creatures, a backhoe equipped with a specialized scale was brought in to weigh the giants.
The two catfish tipped the scales at an astounding combined weight of nearly 400 pounds, leaving even seasoned Game and Fish personnel amazed by their sheer size.
“It’s not every day you come across something this big,” said one of the biologists on the team.
“They were healthy and showed no signs of stress once the shock wore off.”
Following the data collection, both catfish were released back into the river, unharmed and ready to resume their dominance over the Platte.
This marks the latest in a series of large fish findings, prompting discussions among local anglers about the potential of a record breaking catch in the near future.
Local fishing enthusiasts are being urged to respect these aquatic giants and report any further sightings to Game and Fish, who continue to monitor the river’s ecosystem.

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”
Matthew 24:36 (KJV)
Thank You, Jesus, for blessings received and prayers answered !!!
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.
BE MY VOICE
JESUS LOVES THE LITTLE CHILDREN
CHILD NOT CHOICE
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER
MAPA = MAKE AMERICA PRAY AGAIN
OUR PRAYER – FOR CATHY AND MANY OTHERS
We come to Your Altar on bended knee
In the name of Jesus – we pray to Thee
One of our loved ones is in peak peril
Demons they have her over a barrel
Another test will be taken real soon
Could sink hope or take her over the moon
By the Blood of the Lamb – we are healed
By His sacrifice – our fate – it was sealed
Protect her from all danger hurt or harm
We’re calling all Angels – set the alarm
Warring Angels by the dozens dispatched
Go after those demons – get them detached
Comfort Angels dispersed to quell the fear
Through Faith – we command fear disappear
Healing Angels anoint her with the oils
Cover her completely before she spoils
Relaying Angels with a message from God
Rest in His Arms – prepare to be awed
We take authority over our friend today
By the Power of the Spirit we humbly pray
We unite in our prayer – strengthen her
To guide those in charge of her to concur
Set all instruments so accurate they be
By the Power of the Spirit command them we
Take care in your analysis – through Hope
By your training and insight help her cope
God has given you the means to infer
A possible treatment that will deter
The failure of systems rightly attached
Your expertise surely cannot be matched
Let the Hand of God guide competent hands
To do what must be done – what He commands
As we lift her up to the Heaven on High
We give it all to You – and breathe a sigh
She is in good hands – the best there be
The Angels surround her – a sight to see
We lay our petition at the feet of Your Son
Whose victory over the cross He surely won
We know in control – You must ever be
We pray for a miracle for all to see
God can fix anything – He has the clout
The Power of God is awesome no doubt!

A PRAYER FOR YOU
I said a little prayer for you
Tho’ we have never met
I only know you slightly
From the Internet
I see you everyday
While I am on my way
Traveling thru cyberspace
Your love I will embrace
I hear you reaching out
To give your piece of news
Sometimes you give a shout
Provide your special views
I thank God you stopped by
With what He gave to share
Right from your own mind’s eye
I am grateful that you care
Just so you know why I came
To this special place today
I am here to send you Angels
To help you on your way
I pray for you all the best
God can give to you
I said a little prayer for you
Gave thanks for all you do!

how was your church service this morning duchess ?
even though the message ( revelation)was very heavy and sobering…. i feel very light hearted …..
and believe you me … very much needed 🧡
It was a mental exercise into what should be obvious to all believers, Annie !!!
Either you believe the Bible is the Word of God and true or not – a good example of an analysis made by someone who did not accept it as such – cannot recall the name of the analyst – but – he chose Luke – who was not an eyewitness to events in the NT – so how could Luke be a credible contributor ? Pastor Jeffress gave many reasons why he was.
Remember the game we played in a circle where we told the same story person to person – and yet – the last person told a different story ? Well – how is it that over time the stories in the Bible did not deviate ?
No deviation even tho many of these stories were not written down – but rather passed on verbally from person to person – that is God !!! The Bible is the irrefutable Word of God – given supernaturally to man !!!
Pastor Jeffress handled this subject with aplomb – he added some introspection to my own studies – a sermon to save for future reference – and discussion if need be.
Thanks for asking !!! 💙🧚🏻♀️💙
The Salutations of Tree Dwellers and Polite Townsfolk
This little offshoot branch, the friendly after-hours tavern or before-hours coffee shop, where travelers, students, gentle folk, novices, and scholars gravitate, invites a certain level of hospitality, acceptance, camaraderie, incidental news and gossip, snapshot comics, and even an In Memoriam section.
I come in here, a lonely traveler, have a seat, order a libation – a warm coffee to welcome my day, or a heavy drink to round out an even heavier day – at an attempt to relax the mind, invite a rest, or even induce a dream state.
Whether it be for entertainment, loneliness, sharing, or escapism… this small place is a respite from the world that no longer makes sense. Within these walls – all makes sense – whether serious or silly, important, or carefree. We all nod to one another with a gentle understanding that some of these… are not like the others… out there.
I tip my hat to all… for as to name each… would take a while. The Sirs (Nimrodman, Garrison, Magic, Rah, Monticello, GrandpaM, WP, and Dan Dale) and the Damsels (Betsy, Patience, Duchess, Aggie, Slowcobra)… the list of players goes on and on. How dare I acknowledge just one and somehow miss out on the each, the valuable many? I would be sad and remiss to exclude – not due to arrogance, or dismissiveness, or slight – but due to fatigue, naivete, or failure to view and see all who gather here in voice, or in silence… maybe the day too hard to comment.
I sit in my bar seat, at my place, my little limb – too poor to buy the house a round – but wanting the place to exist and flourish and thus offer my two cents, which may be meaningful as a pittance to the collective, the success of which is measured in both finance and liveliness. My fuel is the words in which I fodder and give… the little stories to inspire, amuse, and jest. A prayerful here, a mournful there, a testament witnessing to those like us here… are not like those outside there… outside the friendly doors, back out into the cold, mindless, and shapeless wind and drivel. A few quarters slipped into the memory juke box.
So welcome in! Blessed God morning, God afternoon, and God day… and when the day is done… a blessed God evening and God night… to you, and you, and each of yours… with heartfelt love… and genuine thanks… from this lonely traveler.
Love you guys.
ahhh , yes .. but leave out you did ..
and im okay .. im used to it .
Dabnabbit dreamboat annie!!!!! You are never left out – can I still edit???
You are much loved, ya know???? I do hope YOU KNOW!
You and Ed and Biddie and Maquis and Burro… and and and….
So much for a point trying to be made, but not insulting.
Didn’t mean it. forgive me. XXXOOO
It was beautifully written! And Annie really does forgive you, that much I know.
hey jwoo… i’ve had to go out to get dog food ..and i’m just now getting back home.
so … why even the need to name names ? to me , that gets into clique territory.. i believe that mentality is , here… miss. della also voiced that. i have been posting here at the treehouse, in the open thread for 8 years … and yes, it hurt my feelings and i glaringly felt left out .
maquis isn’t a regular poster in this thread . the political threads, yes, absolutely.
for some reason .. i feel a negative bias.. and i know i do feel it . because i don’t feel it in my interaction with our 2 new posters …. EE and biddie.
i realize i’m introverted.. and don’t share as much as you do.. but i’m just being me. i’m not satisfied with how i’ve expressed myself. but it is what it is. my whole life i have been painfully shy … but i’m going to let it fly , now …..
did you see the conversation about marcia: the “ retired magistrate here”?
sometimes its about the name we choose to use here?
boogywstew got it …. when he posted this lyric to me , a long time ago ..
no one knows the lonely one whose heads in the clouds…….
Big hug mon Amie.
Hehehe…. Annie Cat, I was just checking out the thread and read your post… I really didn’t want to post but thought maybe I should…
You have a special place in life… You aren’t an empty barrel… you are extremely intelligent… you aren’t in the pack of howling dogs spewing keyboard bravado… instead you are calm in the middle of the storm… You have a great sense of humor, post beautiful pictures and post great music that is from genres that I like and from some others, that through my ignorance, I thought I disliked… (jazz and blues)…
I check this thread regularly just to play the music you post, because it makes me “The Cat’s Ass” up here in Appalachia when I play it for others to listen to because many of these great songs we’ve never heard before and that surprises me cause I love music and have been exposed to alot of different types…
Last but not least I think you have a great sense of humor and a deep faith in Jesus in a way that isn’t religious in the traditional sense but is applied in the way that Jesus instructs us. We are warned that by every word we speak, we will be judged, so it’s probably best not to be a clucking hen or crowing rooster. Your demeanor is funny, knowing, fascinating, innocent, kind and inspiring. It inspired me, months ago, to submit two literary pieces for copyright which have been copyrighted… One is called … “The Player’s Proposal….” and the other has a dedication that says… Inspired by Dreamboat Annie called “Whelp…. He’s Right There….Sitting In A Barrel Full of Monkey’s Just Waiting For You”… Both are hilarious… lol… Your moniker is forever inshrined in The Library of Congress…
You mentioned Della… She is special and dedicated to ministering… and her words are like beautiful poems and songs.
Bird’s of a feather will not be loved by the world… but know that we are loved and accepted by someone more special than any mere keyboard warrior…(who knows half the comment posts may be some AI program)… we are
loved by Jesus Christ… (The Jesus Clique…) Yep that’s pretty special….
Now get back to posting some great tunes before the natives (me) get angry… lol
Luke 6:28 Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you
I forgot Greg1, too, but he’s usually harassing me with spiders, so I have PTSD block. Roflol. It’s like beetlejuice… “Greg1, Greg1, Greg1”.
🐿
🕷️ 🕷️🕷👀
😇
(looking for my fly swatter) – afternoonie to you, dudelette, Greg1.
You ain’t got a fly swat big enough or fast enough.
Besides, this thing would snatch it from you and spank you like a four year old at K-Mart with it:
UM…. meaty… where is Croc Dundee to catch that in his hat & fry that dude up.
🤣
what an elegant testimonial, JWoo
thanks for sharing
Sundance, we probably need a SAF update thread…
I am deeply troubled in my Central Indiana home. Not afraid. I will not walk in fear for our Lord is with us, however the concern arises from a a recent posting in our neighborhood NextDoor app.
A woman posted alerting to three burglaries in the last day or so – two of them home invasions with the families present. She stated that there were 5,000 military aged illegals dumped here in Hamilton County, the jewel of Central Indiana, often referred to as the “Beverly Hills of the Midwest”. This a political hotbed here, home to exclusive RINOs of the most nefarious breed, and a nest of wealth.
The crimes are occurring in the west end – the old money, established estates, portion of the city. One, a former customer of mine according to conversation with my boss. There are older folks in these areas, old money, who built and sold great businesses, fought in wars, and are made of a particular toughness.
It wasn’t the alert from the kind woman looking after her neighbors that alarmed me. It was the responses. Outward calls of her being racist, bigoted, and who says that “Hamilton County belongs to us”… “How could you act that way being racist towards others of differing skin color?”… and “Do better!” She was aggressively and publicly SHAMED for warning others of a clear and present danger.
Had one of those naive, youthful, liberal respondents, who is a frequent panhandler… spent as much on her education as she did her piercings and full body tattoos… she might have taken pause and thanked the woman for the alert to the potential threat… and done well by herself to forewarn and forearm others… but these are the signal bearers of the woke, the “enlightened”, the flag bearers of diversity, equity, and inclusion. It is okay and acceptable… and even preferable… to take from one to give to another… with no matter or deference to effort, investment, or principle.
The exchange was heated… and slinging of insults… for the DEI crew to share their addresses, so the illegals may come and make their home… with them… and leave us others alone.
May GOD be Merciful and be with and protect us all. It’s coming… this is eleven miles and one small, affluent, mixed-use suburb and agricultural town of Zionsville, Indiana, population 33,000 people (Mike Pence’s neighborhood) away from me.
Just awful.
sad to hear … we’re losing our formerly great nation
sounds like it’s time for “the old money, established estates” folks to learn how to arm up
proximity alarms, large dogs, firearms
My nephew lives there now, his dad is a gun nut, unknown if he picked up hobby too … he’s more of a beta to the wife.
His older sister … well last I heard she had called up dad to go to the range with her … she is just directly west of little bro, closer to JWoo.
Told bro … when are you taking her? GO … take her!
“Had one of those naive, youthful, liberal respondents, who is a frequent panhandler… spent as much on her education as she did her piercings and full body tattoos… ”
Her attitude and outlook will change when one or more of these illegal aliens attack her.
Move to Florida where we have the stand your ground law, we shoot and kill home invaders, saves taxpayer money.
Well, I really never knew anybody from Hamilton cause as you say … its old money. The guys I knew in the Auto & Forklift business from surrounding counties are CC holders & are always armed.
Things could quickly go sideways for bad guys like happened in the Greenwood Park Mall in 2022 food court.

Conspiracy Theory ….. OR fact?
https://xcancel.com/CMDRVALTHOR/status/1847934285459693818#m
The EBS will sound, and when it does, FEMA’s entire operation will be exposed. The stolen funds, the missing people, the trafficking—it will all come to light. FEMA’s camps will become prisons for those who once ran them.
· Justice is here. The White Hats are leading the charge, and FEMA’s reign of terror is coming to an end.
· The White Hats know everything, and they are launching raids on FEMA’s secret facilities—underground bunkers, hidden warehouses, disaster camps used to traffic human beings.
· Every FEMA agent involved in this grotesque scheme, every official who helped cover it up, will be brought to justice. The Military Alliance is dismantling FEMA’s human trafficking network, and this time, there’s no escaping the consequences….. (LONG)
Continues at link above …..
I think that RMN probably stands for ‘Rumor Mill News’, which I do not believe to be a reliable or credible source.
However….. maybe nowadays it is the hands of the White Hats, and no longer a nefarious obvious psyop.
YMMV
Trust the plan …
— Q
I was already aware that FEMA is a gargantuan bureaucracy….. but it never once occurred to me that they might be implicated in human trafficking. All makes sense once it’s explained…. IF indeed that very long tweet was accurate.
Does anyone happen to know what happened to the massive number of guillotines that the Obama administration ordered?
Where are they?
I don’t remember how many there allegedly were, nor where they were stored ….. it all seemed too preposterous to be true.
Savannah starts her job usually around 4 pm and closes the shop, a few nights a week. Thus, we’ve taken to eating a decent breakfast and a wholesome dinner… or some days just a single really healthy dinner served very early in the day… even on Sundays when she’s off. She will usually eat something at work, also, as the employees receive free food perks.
Today, instead of breakfast, I made a impressive afternoon meal using these fun finds from our favorite, budget friendly, Aldi’s.
The 16 oz seafood mix of shrimp, calamari, mussels, and scallops was around $6, I think, but it’s one of Savannah’s favorites and she loves the baby intact squid within.
For the seafood mix: butter, slight olive oil, lemon pepper, parsley, sundried tomatoes, chopped red pepper, broccoli… cooked all but the seafood for about 3 or 4 minutes on high heat, add seafood and cook 3 minutes more… don’t overcook. Finish by sprinkling with fresh lemon juice.
Served with homemade fettuccine Alfredo. Leftovers…yum.
The coconut shrimp in an air fryer at 370 degrees for six minutes.
She’s full like a tick and studying hard. She’s got about fifteen hours of content she’s working on and it stinks because it’s really pretty out and we both need fresh air… but work comes first always in this house.
… and the coconut shrimp really ARE as pretty as they are on the box and decent sized. They would make a really nice holiday appetizer on a platter and it comes with a sweet chili sauce. 8 to a box. It was a bit of a heavy meal, but I was trying to make a “special Sunday dinner” early. It turned out nice.
Aldi’s has an amazing dip, crab rangoon.
Did shop there a few times for specific items on the way home when I was near Plainfield.
Didn’t know/see or they did not have it yet … this seafood mix, it looks like it is right up my alley but alas … no Aldi’s near me.
Aldi was a customer to one of my employers as well, remember dropping off parts to their warehouse S of Greenwood, don’t think I ever worked on anything of theirs, they have their own kinda in house maintenance unless too busy or too big a job to do.
