Everyone, they are coming after your local school board races. Stay informed. They want state control of the school boards and to remove parents from the education process.
The Maryland Democratic Party will spend “tens of thousands of dollars” targeting at least 18 school board candidates that it says are looking to bring a “hateful” and “right-wing agenda” to schools.
It is a first for the party, which has never before involved itself in the nonpartisan races for local board of education seats. But party leaders said the move is needed to fight the “extremist” agendas espoused by candidates in 11 counties, eight of which it’s putting resources into – Anne Arundel, Calvert, Carroll, Frederick, Howard, Montgomery, St. Mary’s and Talbot. It is also warning voters against eight other candidates in Allegany, Cecil and Washington counties.

I always find it interesting that they call Conservative ideas extreme and dangerous. Meanwhile, they push books in elementary schools about gay sex. They try to convince children they can change their sex. And, they tell white kids they are bad oppressors of their brown and black classmates while they tell those minority children they will never accomplish anything because they are oppressed victims of those evil little white children. But sure, we are the “extreme” and “dangerous” party.
Is it any wonder we now have the most depressed, anxious, neurotic, and suicidal kids and young adults in the history of the United States.
When held up to any religious faith, the Democrats are murdering perverts. No one who believes in God can ever support, or vote Democrat. We either believe in the book, or we don’t.
I left the choir after 5 years at a small Methodist church (sang in choir, then went to rest of service at Baptist church) until the end of June when I discovered the choir director was a fan of the Obamas. Returned to the Baptist church only to find out that the guy who had been my deacon for 6 years was ‘going to vote for Trump this year.’ I was shocked and also shocked when I found out there were other long time liberal leaning members at the Baptist church. It saddens me.
I could never understand the women in the Black community attending church, and their pastor schilling for the Democrats.

I was surprised that it was all about race and demographics, not education. Then, of course, there was the issue of whether to let students use the bathroom of their choice. Frankly, I loved the Catholic priest who spoke to the school board. He said, Thank you. Your policies are the best ‘free’ advertising for Catholic schools we’ve had in a long time.”

Our individual capacity to think and our willingness to think is basic. No agency or bureaucrat, study or pill – can effectively replace that.
If the government is seriously, effectively reduced we will need to be willing and able to think about how to sew our own clothes, how to have a consistently safe water supply, how to keep our cars running, how to prevent disease without all the pharma stuff, how to prevent infections, how to bake, cook, and preserve food without killing our families. … .and without ozempic.

One of the things I’ve learned (and found a bit discouraging) over the past 13 years since the Treehouse was set up is how many individuals are willing to surrender personal innovation and responsibility if someone else offers to step up and fix things. I have trouble addressing the issue without sounding like a jerk.
The Treehouse is, among many things, a place to practice conversation, practice communication, and (perhaps literally) enter into debate–about ideas, etc.
It terrified me when we first started and Sundance just sort of looked at our little tiny group of less than 12 and indicated we should “just get to it” — because I had never in my wildest dreams actually spoken up about things where there was a good chance of disagreement, as well as having my own ignorance exposed.
I spent a lot of time in the first years hiding behind whatever potted plant I could find.
That’s why once in a while I still make major mistakes–with regard to information (or lack of), tone, and “form of argument”. There are many things I am learning that have nothing to do with the subject at hand.

I agree, Clarion. One big BIG factor for women in weight gain is hormones.
Before I reached midlife, I was blessed with a decent metabolism, and good genetics. My parents were active and average weight, and so was I. If I was starting to put on weight from sitting at work too much (working in ad agencies, pasting up ads, or writing on a computer all day) or eating too many snacks and sweets, I would rein it in with more walking, exercise, and eating healthier, and the weight would leave.
However, once I started into perimenopause in my late 40s -50s, that began to change. I wrote for a women’s show that featured authors and health segments, and because my boss and the talent were all women in their 50s, we did shows about menopause. I started reading a book by one guest author about how entering menopause, your metabolism slows, and once your ovaries dial back on producing estrogen, your body looks to your fat stores for it.
She said that if you tend to be slender (which I was back then) without much extra fat, you need to give your body permission to gain 15-20 extra pounds. Otherwise, you will not have those fat reserves, and you may find yourself with more severe night sweats, hot flashes, mood swings, etc. And that was the case for me.
I tried fighting the weight gain with better diet and more exercise, and tried supplements to ward off the hot flashes and all. Soy supplements helped — but soy can suppress thyroid function, and when my thyroid numbers spiked, I stopped the soy supplements, and my numbers went back to normal. But the weight still crept up.
I finally had to relent and accept the extra 15-20 lbs. I am 69, and look fine for my age, and wear a lot of black outfits with artsy overshirts or tunics. I would still love to lose that extra weight, and I do eat healthy, exercise, swing dance, walk every day, and hike 3-5 miles every Monday evening for the past 4-5 years with a hiking meetup group. But yes, I am now sympathetic to those who struggle with weight loss no matter how much they try, and I get why people try Ozembic or whatever in hopes of giving their bodies a jumpstart. It’s tempting.
Processed food. The quick stuff so mom can go to work while they destroy the physical and mental health of the child, and break up the family unit.
People used to buy fresh, and local, and cook from scratch.

The best advice I ever got: “Learn to cook! Buy interesting cookbooks!” Buy quality ingredients and prepare them by hand, then cook them. If you want to “nibble,” go ahead. Then, sit down at table and slowly enjoy your meal. You WILL, over time, naturally lose weight. And thoroughly savor the experience. You are “eating BETTER.” (And if you mess up the recipe, gosh darn it, you still have to eat it! 😀)
Also, while shopping in the “veggie” section, see something and be “impulsively” (sic) be attracted to it. Follow that impulse. Find a recipe and prepare it. Enjoy. Your body has primal instincts that we don’t fully understand.
Also: stop drinking colas. These include phosphoric acid, which binds to minerals and causes them to be excreted. When a horse is short of minerals, it will begin eating the wood of its stall. Vets call this “cribbing.” The snack-food industry calls it “the munchies.” 🤡
Eating slowly – when you attend the mega-schools that the commies prefer, the students have to eat in shifts, because the cafeteria is not big enough to hold them all.
Kids develop the bad habit of bolting their food.
I’ve had good success with limiting my eating between 10am-6pm, reading ingredients on labels and following the suggestions made in the Means’ book “Good Energy.” I have no desire to get sucked into the Chronic Industrial Disease Complex.
Personally, I love the weight loss injectable commercials followed directly by ambulance chaser ads suing the makers of semaglutide drugs for ruptured intestines and the like..

I was told go back to the machine and print out my ballot. Umm, which machine was it? I printed a new ballot but the process was a joke. No chain of custody. No verification. No checking voter ID.
I have no faith it the systems and processes used today for voting.

I have now binge watched a number of the Owens podcast episodes on the “making of Komrade Harris” and they are fascinating, in that it would be really difficult for anyone capable of critical thinking not to ask just how deep and for how long does it actually go – this practice of manufacturing our “politicians”. Owens has one that asks that and with great specificity. Her site on Rumble has a great many clips and she does many of them in a sequence of exposure such as the newest on K. Harris.
Certainly we all have learned of PM Heath many years ago in the U.K. ( hotbed of seemingly “protected” paedophiles – Jimmy Saville anyone? ) and that all makes the “Profumo affair” appear as little more than an indiscreet dalliance.
While our own Dennis Hastert, as former Speaker of the House and later convicted paedophile is just the tip of the iceburg, as it were and only barely providing a glimpse into the depravity at the highest levels of government. As to Gingrich?, I know very little of him beyond the fact that once nothing passed through the House chamber without the “Aye of Newt” 🙂

Law Enforcement, Harris and Facts from Retired Law Enforcement Professional John Carpenter What do you know about the defunct California Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement, aka BNE, Kamala Harris and her claims of being a “prosecutor who was tough on the cartels?” It matters because she’s not being truthful. The problem is that the media is missing it (aside from their proven bias) because you have to have some historical knowledge of narcotics enforcement in California, the BNE and Harris’ political career in California.
However, first a bit about the disbanded California Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement. The BNE had been around for decades and was the only state investigative agency dedicated to addressing high level drug cartel activity throughout California. Sure there is the DEA, but they’re stretched throughout the country. BNE was under the auspices of the Office of Attorney General. Their success was largely because BNE investigators teamed with local city and county detectives throughout California to form task forces that worked together. These were high level, often multi-year investigations that resulted in the seizure of countless illegal firearms, tons of narcotics, billions in $$ and many very significant arrests. BNE investigations resulted in the asset forfeiture of tangible property & cash that was fairly distributed among participating agencies only after asset forfeiture court proceedings. BNE participating agencies used the money to make up for budget shortfalls – fuel & parts for helicopters, unanticipated overtime and other important needs. So not only did the BNE significantly disrupt cartel operations, they also helped the mission of local law enforcement throughout the state. It’s important to note a bit about Harris’ career history before disproving her claims. Harris was hired as a Deputy District Attorney for Alameda County in 1990 and worked there only 8 years. However, there’s no mention of her ever working her way up into a supervisory position or others opining about her skill-sets.
It was around the mid 90s that she started her open affair with the “gatekeeper” of Democrat California politics – San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown. Brown was still married, but separated from his wife. Interestingly, Harris bounced over to the San Francisco DA’s Office shortly after she started her relationship with Brown before being “recruited” to work in the San Francisco’s City Attorney’s Office. Within a few years, Harris was elected as the District Attorney of San Francisco. She was elected to a second term before being elected as the California Attorney General in 2010. The cronyism and politics of her career are outrageously self-evident, but it’s important to note that the AG oversees numerous investigative units within the AG Office. The AG is more of a “figure head,” but does not personally prosecute cases; the thousand or so assigned State’s Attorneys do! Sure, the AG is involved in the discussions and decision-making of high profile cases, and sometimes attends the initial proceedings of such cases. However, it’s all politics at that level.
But here is the point of my comments. Harris opines about prosecuting drug cartels, but she was not a “working” prosecutor for the California AG and there’s zero evidence of her prosecuting drug cartel members in her previous assignments as a Deputy DA for Alameda or San Francisco. That’s largely because “drug cartel” cases are almost always prosecuted at the state or federal level. WITHIN 2 YEARS OF TAKING OFFICE, AG HARRIS APPROVED A PLAN, SUPPORTED BY THEN GOV. JERRY BROWN AND THE PREDOMINANTLY DEMOCRAT SUPER MAJORITY STATE LEGISLATURE, THAT DISBANDED THE BNE IN 2012! The agency task forces dissolved, and remaining state narco detectives, who did not retire, were merged into other state investigative units. But those with less than 10 years state service (some with 10-15 years of [police experience from another agency) were actually let go (after later transferring TO CA DOJ).
Therefore, the record shows that within two years of being appointed as AG of California, SHE assisted with DISBANDING our State’s largest investigative body targeting drug cartels; the BNE! In GA we use Dominion voting machines. In a law suit, DeKalb GOP vs Raffensperger technical experts testified that these machines can be easily hacked, locally and remotely. The Dominion machines, according to the experts, have a feature to allow for changing votes and totals.
Why would any state purchase a vote tabulator that has a feature to change vote counts- That’s just one issue that generates a large vote integrity issue in GA.
It’s like they want to make it easy to have corrupt elections that can’t be audited.

US Offers $10M Reward To Help Thwart Russian Election Interference Network
The Department of State is offering a reward of up to $10 million for information about foreign nationals who are “engaging in interference in U.S. elections” as well as tips leading to “the prevention, frustration, or favorable resolution” of attempted foreign election meddling.
