I was hoping you would post about the burros!!! I asked late in day the other day and didn’t know if you saw. I intend to adopt at least 3! I understand the broken heart after loss! I lost 2 dogs within 2 weeks of each other in November/December of 2020. One got up one morning, collapsed, rushed her to the vet, she had spleen cancer and one of the lesions had burst. Lesson, start having blood done at around 10 years (adjust for dogs who’s life span is less) tested for cancer. Had I known that, it would have been caught early enough to save her.

We have 13 animals at the moment. One has been thinking about leaving – he’s 17. They always let you know when it’s time. 😔

They are loud, but leave no doubt as to what they are saying! 🤣 Fell in love with them many many years ago when down the road from where I was staying was a lone donkey. Fence was right by the road. I would visit him every day, brought carrots, hugs and kisses. He waited for me, every day. I was so sad when I had to leave. You and I are clearly kindred spirits re the animals!
A dog friend who has a farm and raises sheep for herding (and wool)….has some rather larger flocks of sheep….and has lots of donkeys in the field with them for protection…and has on more than several occasions, found battered coyote carcasses in the different fields. The donkeys know their job and do it well.
In my Shetland sheepdog household…we took the name ‘sheep’ out of their identity…no interest…they much prefer agility in a climate controlled astro turfed environment…
They must be democrats…they don’t like to get their paws dirty.

Yes, burros and mules can be deadly to any canine. We hear coyotes all the time out here, but they rarely venture onto our property. They have a natural and understandable fear of our burros.
When we take in new rescue doggos, they instinctively avoid close contact with the burros, but almost always become good friends over time. Sometimes a young pup will be feeling his/her oats and get frisky with them. Look out for the well aimed lightening fast kick!
Equids are pack animals and their safety depends on coordination of resting times. Three of them will fan out, butts almost touching, looking outward, and take turns sleeping. They also have lousy peripheral vision, which is why you should always reach out and touch their hind quarters if you are going to pass behind them – first thing we taught the grands!
And our mule, Maude, took on snakes, coyotes, and even a mountain lion once (she wound up on the wrong end of that confrontation, but we nursed her back to health).
Made a mistake once, and only had one burro for a short time. His whole personality changed, was wary and nervous 24/7.
Poor soul – fixed it with 2 new pals and he was good as new.

That’s a fly mask. The flies are brutal and bite their eyes, and muzzles unmercifully. They are a woven canvas like material that they can see through. We go through a lot of them, because they catch them on trees, bushes, cactus, anything sharp (everything in the desert!)

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

Each day God asks you to boldly come
To the Throne of Grace and beat the drum

God told us to pray unceasingly
Give Glory Honor and Praise to He
Bring our petitions and lift them up
So that all may drink from the Blessing Cup
When you are troubled the Body suffers
Take it to God and pray for others

Our own concerns become less of a bother
When we reach out and touch another
So Rise Up Prayer Warriors and shout
Defeat the enemy roundabout
Send him back to the dry places of doom
Back off and prevent his message of gloom
Declare your victory over all that prevails
Defeat his plan and all it entails
Our nation has been attacked mercilessly
Over a long span of time most relentlessly
It is time to defeat that father of lies

To replenish and refresh on bended knee

DECLARATIONS, DECREES, AND DEFINITIONS:
Do not allow the enemy’s attacks to turn you away from the promises of God.
Have your heart fixed on God and the promises of God.
Do not accept a defeat that doesn’t belong to you.
Respond to adversity with confidence and praise.
God is your victory because He’s Jehovah Nissi.
Do a deep dive on how many times God uses the word earnestly in His Word.
Do not allow the enemy to steal your joy and peace.
Listen to what God is saying because what He says is true. Get into His Word and find His revelations in the Word.
Do not put your trust in man. Put your trust in God.
WAR: Worship And Resist then the Wicked Are Restricted.
Praise is a powerful force that the enemy cannot fight against.
God has given you the power, authority, dominion and revelation knowledge to overcome the enemy.
God needs His children to be praying and rise up.
Marching Order: Pray the walls of your enemies down.
Things are going to shake and the storm is going to intensify, but God is your protector, calms the storm and brings your enemy to nothing.
Do not fear what the enemy is doing because you are guaranteed the victory.

[More notes]…IF we don’t have our hearts fixed on Him, we forget all His marvellous works and His wonderful deeds, we will reject His advice. He gives us marching orders, decrees, declarations, on a daily basis, prophetic words…which I am condemned for…if our enemy speaks on a daily basis God can certainly speak on a daily basis…Why would He not be speaking to you on a daily basis, encouraging you, giving you hope, giving you truth. People need it on a daily basis because the attacks are daily…PRAISE IS SUCH A POWERFUL FORCE OUR ENEMIES CAN’T FIGHT AGAINST. THAT’S WHY HE FIGHTS US SO HARD NOT TO PRAISE, NOT TO WORSHIP AND RESIST. THERE’S NOTHING IN HIS ARSENAL THAT CAN STOP THE POWER AND THE FORCE THAT COMES FROM A CHILD OF GOD WHO IS DOWN ON THEIR LUCK, WHO IS IN THE MIDST OF THE STORM THAT’S RAGING AROUND THEM, IT LOOKS LIKE THEY WILL BE CRUSHED BY THE WAVES, THE STORM, THE WIND AND THE WAVES AND THE adversity that’s trying to hit you so hard that you sink…who praises and worships God. If we lift our hands and praise and worship God, He inhabits the praises of His people and He will calm that storm in your life. We’re in the midst of the greatest storm, attack, and warfare in human history. Unprecedented and unconventional. God’s creating a new thing in His people. He’s doing a new thing…He wants us to know how to stand in the battle of the storm that’s raging. God’s given us every tool. He’s given us power, dominion, and revelation knowledge. He’s given us His love, His armour. He’s given us everything that we need when we need it.
