I don’t know whether to laugh or cry when changing sheets. There are cats under the fitted sheet, grabbing at the flat sheet as you attempt to spread it out, and in the laundry basket. It’s catastrophic!
You’ll not believe this, sis, But my poor brain took a while to figure it out. When the penny dropped, all of a sudden I remembered how it was doing that chore with a house full of moggies! They knew. They’d wait. They’d crouch..then when the top sheet was billowing overhead , they’d strike 😼
Many times I’d carry on regardless, finishing with a static lump in the middle under it all.

Would love a (working) fireplace in the bedroom. So calming and cozy.
Rented a first floor apartment in an old carriage house with a marble fireplace in the bedroom, but, the chimney was in such disrepair – no dice.
Then bought a 200 year old house with a fireplace in the bedroom. But…..the renovations required to bring it to code were just through the roof – so to speak. So…..nice to look at, but no roaring fire.

During a cold front (in Miami, and I saved a “hard copy” of the Miami Herald with large headline “Snow in Miami”), the transformer for our electricity blew. We all lived and slept in the family room with the fireplace for several days. Such a good memory for me! NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE SIGNIFICANCE OF A FIREPLACE, 🤣

Our beautiful 1869 built Victorian home in rural Wales in the Dee Valley had several. In the cold winters, we stayed mainly in the small morning room where we burned coal and kept it through the night with an installed overnight burner. I don’t care what anyone says…our coal fires were bliss, warm, and wonderful.
At Christmas we set wood fires in the parlour where we had our Christmas tree, and in the dining room. Nothing more Christmassy than those years in that room with a fire blazing, listening to the carols at King’s College Cambridge Service….can’t tell you how much we miss them 😌
(I might also add that I loved our radiators as well😍)

We installed an airtight coal stove in that 200 year old house – the heat was so dependable, clean, efficient, and yes blissful! Also had those wonderful radiators. The kids used to race to the largest one in the dining room on really bitter days, but seniority has its privilege……..and I was already there!

Israel Update:
My Friends,
I took a few days off.
I typically do so when the news is more speculations and a lot of the same.
So yes we had a lot of the same. Tens of rockets and a few drones from Lebanon every day and a bit from Iraq. Mostly intercepted accept for two who got killed by the border there were no injuries. . The IDF killed more terror leaders in the West Bank and Lebanon.
So today I will try to convey an analysis that was done by Ex-Brigadier General Amir Avivi. He leads a think-tank of ex-generals who analyze and recommend. They have meeting here and there with Bibi and the Defense Minister. I followed this man for a while and he was right all along including before 10/7 so I can relate. So here it is, a podcast:
Interviewer: We saw all those amazing shifts with the beepers and attacks on Hezbollah, etc… so where are we standing now?
Brig Gen Aviv: First let’s understand what happened here. We entered the 10/7 in a reality that we’re missing a lot of ground forces, the Security Establishment and Government Closed close to three Divisions.
It’s about 100,000 people that the IDF was missing. Along it, we didn’t purchase enough munitions. And we find ourselves in a multi-front war and had to decide what to do strategically.
And the selected strategy was first to go on the attack in Gaza, and simultaneously to be on the defense on the rest of the fronts. In this time of fighting this way Israel increased its power, the local military industries started to produce a lot more munitions. We also brought in some capabilities from the US,
And for almost 11 months we operated on this strategy. A months and some ago my organization met the Prime Minister and the Defense Minister with a very detailed document which said, the time has matured to shift the weight from Gaza to the North. The time has matured because we created what is called in military language
“a defeating circumstances”.
A circumstances in which Hamas can’t actually restore itself, from here on the road to its annihilation is paved. It means we destroyed all its industries, we closed its Philadelphi Corridor (smuggling routes) its oxygen tube, we pushed most of the population to the humanitarian zone. Not all of them.
Whole areas in Gaza are cleared of civilians which enables the IDF freedom of action, and the IDF systematically is wearing down the abilities of Hamas, actually Hamas Brigades, in my opinion except for one they were all dismantled. We actually seeing and it’s amazing, that in this powerful attack in the North (Lebanon), Hamas didn’t manage to fire even a single mortar nor a rocket, nothing.
So for the cynical who say “they were not dismantled” . They were dismantled, it’s not that they have no rockets, they may have a small amount. It has some capabilities and terrorists spread around on the ground. But as a military organization, at this moment and if we keep at this trend, this organization is dismantled. And this enabled us to shift the weight to the north.
And I said it over and over and over on many platforms that the day we will shift from defense to offense at the north, you will see a completely different reality. I said it based on a pretty good familiarity with our capabilities in the north, but I must say that despite of my optimism, even I was surprised, from the exceptional level of performance, the beepers, the walkie talkies, the rate of elimination of the leadership, very impressive. And actually we see a dramatic change. The state of Israel, is moving forward and eliminating Hezbollah even before a single soldier crossed the border, cutting off the strongest proxy of Iran, and this message is echoing access the Middle East and it’s also a message to the Americans, that there may be a historical opportunity to dismantle all this Shia axis systematically. And my organization said all the time that there will be a victory in all fronts. And when the celebrations broke when Nasrallah was eliminated it was actually an understanding that we are on the way to a victory. And the public in Israel didn’t feel this way even 2-3 months ago. There was a feeling of sluggishness and fear of the 150,000 rockets of Hezbollah and what will they do?
There is a sense of relief and pride. We are on a new road that will completely reshape the Middle East.
Interviewer: There is really a sense of relief. We were afraid of thousands of missiles per day and now Hezbollah is having difficulty to stand on its feet. Most of its command chain was eliminated.
We spoke of the domino effect of Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran.
How do you think Iran is looking at it right now?
After what happened to Hezbollah?
Brig Gen Avivi:
There is a dramatic turn. A month ago it seemed we are about to make a deal in Gaza which meant Hamas stays and rebuilds, Hezbollah stays at its full power and we are moving towards the same level of threats of 6 October. My organization two years ago threatened that the State of Israel is on its way to existential threats and we painted an image of a cooking frog. And on 10/7 this frog jumped out of the pot. And few weeks ago I was afraid that the frog will get back to the pot and we will surrender for “quiet”. And almost instantaneously now Iran of finding itself with two of its proxies getting eliminated. In weeks of months we can break and defeat on those two fronts. Hamas and Hezbollah. The Hoothies get on their heads and Iran is losing assets.
Iran is in a difficult decision point. It’s seeing a determined Israel and Israel is not afraid to confront Iran too. Maybe even wants to confront Iran. Israel is waiting for Iran to shoot so we have an excuse to destroy the nuclear sites. They understand and asking themselves: If this is what Israel built for 18 years against Hezbollah, what did Israel build against us? And you need to understand that we built a very significant power against the Iranians and the day Israel decides to use its full capabilities against the Iranian system, there too people will have their jaws dropped what the State of Israel is capable of. And I think the Iranians begin to understand and have a dillema. They see that their proxies don’t really work. And the Hoothies are paying a very high price that can damage their ability to sustain themselves economically. They need their ports for survival. When the Iranians see the Houthi’s oil apparatuses on fire it’s a strong message to Iran too. And the Iranians placed all their oil refineries in one area.
In one attack we can destroy all the oil exports of Iran. To shock their economy to its core.
I think in a case of Iranian attack we should not only attack the nuclear sites but also the oil. War is also related to money.
Interviewer: Where do you think the US will stand about it?
Brig Gen Avivi:
One has to say, looking at the US DNA, even when the Nazis conquered all of Europe and the British Army was surrounded in Dankerk on the brink of defeat, it still didn’t cause the US to go to war to defend the Western World. And if not for Pearl Harbor, who knows what was going to be left of Europe and Britain.
It’s very hard to move the Americans to action. I remember that we met Mike Pampeo and his message was: “You want to put the US to motion?
Attack first, the US will join later. “
And I met a very high senior from the US and he stood on his back feet and said that “if we don’t do a ceasefire there will be a daylight between you and the US”.
A few hours later we did this attack and the magnitude of the success brought the US President and Kamala Harris to support Israel.
And say: “good that you got rid of Nasrallah”.
The world loves winners.
If we want support all we need to do is initiate and win. Then the US will join the effort.
The best PR is winning. All Israel needs to do is win a big victory and everyone will want to be our friends afterwards.
Interviewer: Israel is in 7 fronts war and the American President says to Israel :“deescalate” , Israel becomes confused. Many Israelis are having a feeling of a knife at the back. You saw what we experienced in 10/7 and you see a year how we are attacked and you’re telling us not to escalate. And forcing us for a ceasefire. And you say heavens forbids to stop now. How do you explain them this gap and interest ?
Brig Gen Aviv: When speaking about the Americans there are two aspects. One is they are before elections. They stick to wanting quiet before the elections. And actually by this they cause the opposite. If they were threatening Iran and Hezbollah, maybe they could prevent the escalation but they are doing the opposite. Second, this Administration really believes that the world must be managed with diplomacy and never a use of force or threat of force. And refuse to see that in some situation force or a threat is needed. Thousands of years of human history teaching that this is the situation, but they ignore it and stick to diplomacy.
Interviewer: Saudi and other Arab nations withdrew from normalization. You think there is a way to change it?
Brig Gen Aviv: I think that as the magnitude of victory and defeating of enemies so will be the peace treaties later and prosperity. That way will be a mass immigration of Jews to Israel. There will be a baby boom of post wars. We will have a brilliant future and it depends on being united and wining and this is what the Middle East expecting of us. The Saudi’s and others.
They want to see the Shia Axis defeated. They want to see the Americans much more involved. And at the end the meeting of interests of Israel and the Sunni world is first of all based on security. We have a mutual enemy, Iran and we want to stand tall together. Remember that when the Iranians attacked the Saudis and wiped out a half of their oil manufacturing, all the American defense systems fails and they didn’t respond, and the Saudis realized there is no one to count on. They need to count on Israel. Get technologies from Israel. And second there is the vision of the line from Indian through Emirates and Saudi through Israel to Europe. We prepared for it and therefore doubled our ports. We created a huge ability to pass global amounts of merchandise to move it from Israel to the world. It’s a mutual vision for Israel, US, Saudi, the question is the timing. At some point Biden pushed for it and the Iranians identified and activated Hamas to interfere. It must be understood that this coalition is based on military might and when the US is anti military active might it is inhibiting the normalization.
There is an Iran, Russian , Chinese front that stands against the West. If the West won’t push against it more and more nations will move to the other group. We see for example how Saudi and Egypt join economically to the East (not the West). China became the largest trade partner of Iran but also Saudi. While Chinese trade in the Middle East is Rising. The American trade is in decline. If means the US has no much to offer economically but has a lot militarily. When it is appeasing and permits Iran to move to nuclear direction, and moves from Sunnis to Iranians and back. It crates a lot of confusion and instability. We need a US who well understands who are the good and who are the bad.
Saudi is not another nation. They are the leaders of the Sunni world. If we normalize with them we then can normalize with Indonesia , Malaysia, Pakistan, Oman. It’s an event of magnitude. Huge. A coalition all the way to the Pacific.
A game changer. Think about trade with Indonesia. Hundreds of millions of people. Dramatic.
We will get there through a victory. Not by getting the frog back to the pot and being under threats. We need to cut those threats and create conditions in which it will never repeat ever again.

What do you mean Israel “is waiting for Iran to shoot”? They’ve hit Israel twice with mass missile attacks! The ONLY reason I can see that Bibi is holding back is due to outside pressure from the US and others.
I had that thought too.
The pressure is intense.
Small Israel needs the US for UN veto and for munitions. Specially now that the Lebanon war began.
The only thing we really care about is the nuclear sites and I will spend some time to explain how complex it is. So it’s really a technical question if it can be done and done when they are waiting for it.
If the Iranian attack killled people it would be more justified to attack them stronger. Unfortunately this is the reality that Biden is forcing on us.
But everything is on the table. We will see. Israel don’t want an endless war of back and forth with Iran. That would damage more than benefit. Most chances that the attack will be on military targets and missile manufacturing sites and the big one is waiting for the right moment. Possibly when Trump wins.

THAT tune, Summertime Blues by Blue Cheer, was my all-time favorite ‘heavy metal’ or whatever class of rock it’s in – and was one of only a very few in that genre on my favs list. I don’t know why but IMO the extraordinary heavy, primitive, unrelenting beat performed by their drummer was IMO the outstanding and driving feature of this piece.

Biography: Edith Cavell was already a respected nurse as Matron of Belgium’s first teaching hospital for nurses when World War I broke out in 1914. When her hospital was turned into a war hospital to treat soldiers she gained a name for treating both German and Allied soldiers equally.
When the German advanced took control of Belgium and her hospital she helped smuggle Allied troops out of Belgium though an underground tunnel in the hospital. German forces became suspicious and she was arrested in 1915. After confessing Cavell was tried at court martial, found guilty and sentenced to death along with others involved in the network. Despite international outrage she was executed by firing squad, then legal under international law.
After her death Cavell became a symbol of the Allied cause. When the war ended Cavell’s body was repatriated and a service was held in Westminster Abbey before being buried in Norwich Cathedral.

That said, an honorable celebrity, would refrain from endorsing any candidate, knowing full well that a large number of immature voters might follow suit, rather than making a responsible, informed decision. SO many celebrities have weaponized their fame in favor of crazy. I was pleased to see Danica Patrick express her support for Trump by limiting it to herself saying she had never voted, but the election is so important, she is voting for Trump. Classy because, as far as I know, she said nothing about thinking anyone else should, instead she expressed cogent reasons why SHE was choosing to do so.

Got in a battle yesterday with an “influencer” of Central IN politicians. (We grow more than corn in Indiana – we grow dirty politicians.) His hatred and vitriol of Trump, while at the same time claiming Trump the “lesser of the two evils” to hold your nose and vote for.. was a grand gesture of Christian hypocracy… which is to be expected from the Nicolaitan church referenced in Revelation 4… which has been a force I have been active against since learning about the Nicolaitan church back in the early to mid 00’s.

I got home yesterday after this back on forth and my computer screen which would have been in standby mode because I was away for so long from home – was on and had been indexed. The indexing showed that it had been indexed entering into my daughter’s resume and her resume cover letters.
My worry and concern about other peoples’ interpretations of me and my “craziness” has long since dissipated. I fondly recall the criticism our beloved John the Baptist received as he ate locusts and feverishly baptized in the name of the coming Jesus Christ. Make way! Clear a path for the coming of The Lord! (The series, “The Chosen” does such a fun and good job helping the viewer fall in love with these characters in our Bible story.)
I count it all blessings to be in the “crazy for Jesus camp.” Thank God I am for He Has been my constant companion in the whole of my 51 years of life. He Is Worthy of Praise!

This guy I battled with – I had personal history with because of God’s Divine Appointments in my life that I obediently followed. I am also battling indirectly with the second highest seat in Indiana politics – the proposed Lt Governor – which really the Attorney General is second highest depending on who you ask – to me the LG is really just the “heir apparent” and this one should be regulated to cutting ribbons and grand openings of gas stations because the guy is Establishment and demonically led. Again, I know this through first person witness and personal testimony. It’s not a fun place to have enmity with the second highest power in Indiana politics… but Savannah and I talked about it. We are not afraid. We are not afraid of suffering for the rights of freedom and in the Name of Christ and to reveal what God Has shown me to reveal.
So to those checking out my computer and my background…. do your best! My God Is Greater and He Will crush you who hurt His faithful people. You KNOW what you’re doing is wrong. Get right with God by confessing your sins, make amends for your sinfulness, and turn… and sin no more… or He Will destroy you for Eternity! That’s a promise in Revelation. You will burn in the lake of fire during the second death.
The devil counts on us to be scared. Be immoveable standing firm on your faith. GOD WINS.

Not a single one of them should receive one iota of consideration for all the suffering they allowed one man to shoulder. Not one of them!!
And you know they’ll be all “hands out” looking for powerful appointments and business agreement considerations when he wins, and the first to throw stones if the economy continues to falter due to the residual destruction of the Uniparty. They only look at Trump as an economic boon at best, and a scape goat at worst.
They failed to represent us, the American people. They did nothing and said nothing while we suffered, had our legal and legislative administrations squandered, lost our personal and national wealth, and our family members died… while they held their Lincoln dinners and snobby cocktail parties at the golf course. They stood by and said nothing, at best,
throughout the criminal syndicate and, at worst, they colluded and conspired.
I’ll never forget that and for as long as I live… I’ll work hard to remove them from their posts. They don’t need to be leading anyone… let alone the hardworking American taxpayer.
They can take their smarmy double talk and double mindedness and go straight to hell where they belong. I’ll never forgive them.

Agree again!!! There was actually some good news this week. The Appellate Court in NY smacked down the Dem attorneys, reversed one of the Trump cases, and during oral argument, scared the Dem attorneys with threat of NY Bar repercussions. Much, not all of our legal system is corrupt too.

Spitting image of our Haribo. (Harold, Harry, Herald!) He’s missing quite a bit of fur possibly due to allergic reaction, ear infection, and being left alone to babysit the elder Alzheimer kitty and the two kitten-girls while we went to St. Louis. We won’t be doing that again any time soon… the poor balding dear.
He’s on the road to recovery. We are working on the “allergic reaction” part thinking it may be our drinking water – as my daughter, too, has the same issues on her face that Harry is experiencing. She’s got really parched mouth and is getting hives on her body from her showers whether they be cool, warm, or hot. We’ve used the CLR to clean the shower heads, but it doesn’t remove bacteria from the pipes.
Who could believe water testing through the health department would be so expensive. Around $160 for the well test, heavy metals, and bacterial. But, at least we would know something… Benadryl is tamping it down but not eradicating it.

I always marvel at how Michael Jackson hits every note pitch-perfect. He was this way from childhood.
He led a tragic life. He tried his best to somehow create a normal life and he resisted being taken over by the Music Industrial Complex.
The overuse of autotune is ruining music. The discerning ear can detect it instantly. I’m afraid it may create a preference for robotic AI music, and we will lose the essence of true human singing talent.
One less chipmunk. During the summer Chip & Dale moved in under our back deck and would come around the sunroom to feed under the bird feeders on the other side. About a month ago I noticed we were only seeing one and not two of the little critters anymore.
Now this morning I see Steve’s tomcat feeding on the carcass of the other. Chipmunk problem taken care of, just as I expected it would be.
Really I like watching those little critters but not when they are living in or next to my house. So anyway, chipmunk problem appears to be solved naturally for the rest of this year anyway.

been hearing pitter patters in the eave just above the door.
Noticed that the very end of the higher eave that dead ends with the first floor roof has been ripped open about 15 inches.
Last night I heard walking coming from the second floor attic.
Sounded bigger than mice or chip monks.

and then repair service.

My wild life rehabiltator friend recommended ammonia soaked rags to frustrate the critters and make them pack their bags. They can’t stand the smell. May save some $$$.

I’ve had a handful of Warblers come through my yard on migration. These American Redstart’s have made a couple of appearances over the last few days. Their tails are the giveaway for easier ID in their fall plumage.

And this sweet doggo in Kissimmee, Florida was rescued by a diligent sheriff’s (sheruff!) deputy. Deputy Josh Fiorelli found the injured girl on the side of the road. She’d been hit by a car and was unable to move. She was wet and cold, so Josh gave her his coat and petted her till help arrived. She survived and was treated for a dislocated leg. Kudos to you Deputy! 👏 👏 👏 💐 ❤️

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
