DHS Inspector General Joseph Cuffari found in his Aug. 14 report that as of October 2022, FEMA had $8.3 billion in unliquidated funds meant to relieve declared disasters from 2012 or earlier.
More than $7 billion of that “could potentially be returned to the Disaster Relief Fund,” the report notes, referring to FEMA’s dedicated fund for natural calamities.
How much “frozen” money sneaks out the back door?

I will be honest, I didn’t want to click on Newsweek site. However, I did because I couldn’t figure out if they were talking about this year or in the past. It turns out it is NOW, as in just last year. The plandemic has been over for three years.

First and Foremost, Covid was/is not a Natural Disaster. It’s a manmade disaster, just like the illegal invasion disaster. Any and all funds not spent should immediately be transferred for the use of real Natural Disasters.
That’s why FEMA needs to go away. It isn’t about disasters, it’s about emergency powers. They create and designate what they want to call emergencies.
It does not need to go away; it is too important. What is needed is good leadership, a real audit process that identifies problems, and an awake Congress to rectify those problems and hold people accountable.
If Congress doesn’t have The Will to rectify anything. One or two may try from time to time but they are quickly crucified by the media and thrown in out.

Start fresh with something solely devoted to helping with disasters the government didn’t generate.
Or get the federal government out of the disaster business and allocate the funds directly to the states for disaster relief in their locale.

I haven’t followed the Ukraine conflict that closely, but I noticed myself what he says in the video about the Italian and Spanish media saying two different things about whether Zelensky is ready for a cease-fire.
He talks about the Americans being done and walking away. He talks about Zelensky probably knowing on some level that his only way out is to talk to the Russians. I want to interject here that if he (Zelensky) didn’t understand that before, he almost certainly does now, after talking to President Trump; and I’m also going to say, as they talk about Zelensky’s desperation and abandonment by the US, and looking for a way out, that perhaps he’s also trying to hold out long enough to see President Trump back in charge.
They also mention the law that prevents Zelensky from talking to Putin. I had been wondering why he as president wasn’t already doing this, and wondering if he were somehow prevented from doing so, but if I even knew about this law I had forgotten about it.
They talk about Zelensky being more afraid of “radical hardliners” in his own country than of Putin. They also speak of Olaf Schultz finally deciding to talk to Putin “three years too late” and how Europe stupidly (my term) aligned itself with the neocons.
One thing the don’t mention is how the US interfered with Zelensky making a peace deal right away, as if not going through with such a deal was solely a mistake on his part.
I wonder if he could foresee this, the US leaving him twisting slowly in the breeze?

If you want to know why we needed this ultra pure quartz, I’ve included a video below. We drop the ultra pure polysilicon into a milky white ultra pure quartz bowl and melt it using infrared heating. Only quartz can withstand this high heat and has the purity such that impurities from the quartz bowl do not leach into the molten silicon. The object is to dip a single crystal of silicon into the molten silicon and slow withdraw it to form a single crystal of silicon. In this process we are converting polysilicon (many crystals) into a single crystal. Think of it this way. Your granite countertop is poly crystalline in that you can see many small islands of single crystals. If it were single crystal, it would be perfectly homogeneous. That’s not a great analogy as granite has many elements, but it will suffice.
The reason we “neck it down” when pulling out the single crystal, is that the imperfections in the crystal run out to the side if the neck is thin. Once the silicon wafer is polished, you can use it to reflect the sun. Most people have never seen a single crystal with a perfect surface reflect the sun. We used to shine it down the hall which was about 200 feet. Unlike a mirror, the silicon wafer would make a perfect, concentrated round dot on the wall 200 feet away. In a mirror the light must first traverse the amorphous silicon dioxide glass (with impurities), then hit the silvered backing, then transverse its way back out. What happens is the reflection is blurry. With silicon crystal, the light reflects off the perfectly flat surface with no impurities. The reflection is very sharp and very bright.

URGENT: Authors of a big new paper on Covid’s heart risks presented its results in a misleading way likely to scare people the paper itself shows are not in danger
The study, out on Wednesday, appears to have found NO extra long-term cardiovascular risks for most people infected with Covid. But the Cleveland Clinic, NIH, and the authors pretended the opposite.
On Wednesday, the Cleveland Clinic released frightening news:
“History of COVID-19 Doubles Long-term Risk of Heart Attack, Stroke and Death”
The renowned medical center was publicizing new research led by Dr. Stanley Hazen, one of its top physicians. He and other scientists examined the medical records of people infected with Covid in 2020 and found they had twice the risk of serious cardiovascular problems as uninfected people through 2024.
The National Institutes of Health, which funded the work, also put out a release warning Covid-19 “increased risk of heart attack [and] stroke up to three years later.” CNN and other media outlets also reported on the research with similar language.
In the Cleveland Clinic press release, Dr. Hazen did not sugarcoat the dangers. “The findings reported are not a small effect in a small subgroup,” he said. “[They] point to a finding of global healthcare importance that promises to translate into a rise in cardiovascular disease globally.”
Except they don’t. Hazen’s promise isn’t true.
The study’s real findings are very different than the frightening headlines.

Notice that the actual hearing got basically zero coverage in the media.
Want to know why?
Because the justices on the court blew the case up during argument, leaving the prosecution now trying to argue not to keep the conviction but rather trying to argue they shouldn’t be sanctioned for bringing it in the first place.
In order, the prosecution was asked to identify just one case where a bank loaned money, got paid back as agreed, nobody was harmed economically and then was prosecuted for this under the alleged statute. They could not.
Then they were asked to find just one case where between two business entities with extensive knowledge (e.g. “sophisticated parties”) where no economic harm was alleged such a case was prosecuted and maintained. They could not.
Now were there a rule of law criminal malicious prosecution indictments would be in the offing for James and everyone else involved in said prosecution and all of them would be facing a decade in the slammer. But we don’t live in such a world, do we?
And before you claim these are “MAGA” Judges, no they’re not — this is the New York Court of Appeals.
Nor do we live in a world where even reporting on such an incident is within the realm of reasonable expectation.
Now tell me, given that record, why would you ever set up and operate a business or, for that matter, put in anything other than the absolute minimum effort to survive when at any time some wild-eyed green-haired chuckle**** can take an “interest” in you and decide to try to jail you when, in fact, you committed no offense whatsoever.
