I read a couple of weeks ago when this rally was first mooted that the Mayor begged President Trump not to come.
He said that the town “couldn’t afford” the expense.
Supporting every financial, medical, schooling, housing requirement for criminal illegals??

Where the rally is, is almost the first thing you come to as you leave DIA. (I was out there a couple days ago meeting a Trump-hating traveler and having fun mentioning we were only a couple days and a couple blocks from where she could see Trump personally!)
Judging by the In-line interviews and pre-Trump Speakers, Aurora may not be able to “afford” it, but the people in this area really *needed* this.

Scheduling a rally in the fairly small community of Aurora was certainly an appealing idea, after the recent publicity about the illegals destroying the community blew open.
There actually are pragmatic aspects to imposing such a gigantic rally on a small community.
Such a rally naturally will have a statewide draw. They wouldn’t do it if that were not the case. I doubt it is primarily a local draw, although the related resentments will linger locally.
My opinion.
I grew up in Aurora. There really isn’t a place to have a Trump Rally. This resort (a short distance away from the Denver International Airport) is the best place they have.
