As we enter Day #10, Samaritan’s Purse President Franklin Graham appeared on Fox News this morning to discuss the scope of the crisis in Western North Carolina.
According to Graham, the two most pressing needs are (1) volunteers and (2) hope. Volunteers are needed to just grunt out the work of trying to clear homes, clear trees, get access to some of the most rural and isolated areas; and then provide HOPE to the people who have been devastated and lost everything.
As outlined, the Starlink communication system is being deployed to the churches as a rally point for the communities in the rural areas. If they can get communication lines opened up at the same place fellowship can provide support, then two major issues can be tackled long-term for the residents in the most impacted areas. WATCH:
.
Both Eastern Tennessee and Western North Carolina are suffering from the flood damage. In places of highest elevation, the Blue Ridge Parkway is reported to look desolate, every leaf removed from the entire tree line by hurricane force gales. The valley areas are in various states of destruction caused by flooding; however, communication is starting to increase. There are still a large number of missing people, and many estimate the death toll will climb.

FYI…no lookee-loo’s, just helping hands and loving arms.
I need to quit reading late at night. That image won’t be leaving my mind.
The spirit, the faith, the heart and the fight of the people of Appalachia will never be forgotten.
I see you. I hear you. I am with you.

My late mother and her family are from Appalachia; West Virginia. They may be insular and slow to trust outsiders, but they will give their last dime if they see someone in need. Once you forn a bond with them you won’t ever have a more loyal friend.
Many are insular – for many of the same reasons. I personally don’t view it as a negative Liz. There is much that could be said, but for now there is work to be done. God Bless.
A true leader this man is. NC Mark needs to be your next governor

A good man and @EmergencyRv volunteer @ChrisHallWx just made it to Maine and hooked up this Travel Trailer donated by Ellen Rogers. Chris now sets out on a 1000 mile drive from Maine to Ashe County NC to deliver this RV to a 74 yo retired firefighter and his wife who lost their home to #helene.
If you have an RV to donate we will come pick it up and deliver to a deserving family in need at no cost to anyone involved. If you would like to donate an RV, make a financial donation to help us with transport costs or if you lost your home due to a natural disaster and need shelter please visit us via the link below.
Keep the faith.

A children’s home that had major damage to staff quarters and children quarters needs help.
Here’s their Amazon list. Gathering crews of EXPERIENCED builders would be very helpful for them (and many others). Something like Habitat for Humanity type of group.
As I was typing that a light bulb went off – that “climate corp” that the stooges in the WH created that is staffed with young, energetic volunteers – send ALL of them to flood the mountains of NC, TN, and GA with helping hands to clean up and rebuild!
It has been years since I have heard the words “children’s home”. I didn’t know they still existed. It definitely sounds like a good place to help out. Chills the part about the kid seeing the tree line moving and him giving warning.
There is at least one in most states. Did mission trips to a few.
Yes, thank God the kid saw it and was aware enough to sound the alarm!
For any who can’t see the tweets – here is the website for the children’s home.
https://www.blackmountainhome.org/
Done, in honor of my well-loved son. Thank you so much for providing the opportunity to contribute to the small degree I can. My birthday is later this month. I am asking my son to skip the gift and send it here instead.
May God Bless you with many more birthdays and time with your much loved son!
This is an amazing place. They help children who are long term in the foster program either get with foster parents or eventually emerge out and transition into being adults. Truly beautiful thing they do.
Shawn has asked that all further donations one might send for his effort be redirected to one of the towns that was destroyed.
The GSG page for them: https://www.givesendgo.com/chimneyrockrelieffund
One of the collection points – God Bless all who are providing.
Probably better be really careful about posting pictures lest he government types see the stuff and move in for the kill.
There’s no give up in the people. East Tennessee:
A week later…the Army arrived (Shawn is being nice – the Army could have and should have cleared any road they were going to work on – if only government had allowed them to get there sooner).
I heard from someone I trust the arms on standby to be sent to the middle east.
Interview with a well respected lady, talking about how many survived in her area and giving a very good look at the situation.

NO idea what their determining guidelines are (other than possibly NOT pale, christian, or patriotic)…
Kelsey Gull is one of many going in on horseback. She just saved another soul.
Don’t stop caring, there are people in desperate situations all in the hills.
Keep donating to rescues please. Winter is coming and lots of people won’t have power for heat.
Nothing but a narrow gravel pathway now (video in tweet).
A look at Swannanoa NC.
These people fought like nothing we’ve seen in our lifetimes. There is NO comparable tragedy in our nations history. Just wait…
Pet food is in need in many areas. Chewy.com or Amazon will deliver.
A supply train in one area of WNC. Truck in front with a backhoe to patch any impassable spots, a swarm of ATVs to go the last mile if needed and carrying as many supplies as they can, and trucks in the back loaded with supplies. One way or another, supplies will get through in spite of the government.
The True American spirit, right there.
An example of people helping people – young man and his friends do a 5 mile hike UP the mountain to help a family.
Note: Gasoline and oil needed for chainsaws in many areas, as well as propane for heating/cooking.
I learned last night that apparently U-Haul rents propane/tanks. Perhaps a lot of us could contact local offices or the corporate office and just flat out ask if the company might pitch in on the relief efforts? It’s a bonus they would actually have the trucks to haul the stuff in. I’m not ashamed to admit I will lean on the “great publicity” angle.
Main Office Number: 775-688-6300
They (U-Haul) sell propane in many areas – I fill my small tanks that way. Most Home Depots rent tanks. Many convenience store chains do the same. My mind just naturally went to the source – the companies they get the tanks and propane from 🙂 The more companies helping the better I say!
So glad it is backfiring, I have been hoping that would be the case. Maybe all it takes is for your entire life and city be ruined by mud and rushing water to make you wake up?
Spruce Pines video. They were hit by water AND a wall of mud.
ps. Note the roof covered in mud up to a few feet from the tip top.
Excellent idea for those who might have limited resources or are too far away. Make thank you notes for volunteers and love notes for survivors.
Gratitude and love on display.
He’s already found a warehouse, but it shows that not only are individuals stepping up, but so are many smaller companies.
Just think if all the CEOs who make millions a year would donated a couple hundred thousand to churches in the areas…
4 to 5 months before power is restored. Power crews are saying entire substations were taken out in multiple areas.
Of course, Harris and Biden sent most of the nation’s emergency stock of such things to Ukraine. Current backlog for some of the items ranges from 1 to 2 years for new orders.
Think YOU are prepared enough?
Can vouch. Know there are towns and cities all across the region that are actively gathering supplies and equipment and sending it almost every day.
A message to all those who are in need and those who care at the end.
What anyone, anywhere, regardless of your circumstances or situation can do to help.
Amanda’s full response to the video for those that can’t see it:
You have brought tears to my heart, as I have known deep and profound loss, and I feel so powerless here in West Texas. It’s not feasible in my situation to be able to go back East, even though my heart yearns to go help. It is not financially possible for me to send copious amounts of money. But, I can talk to God. Even in the midst of my own struggles and trials, I can talk to God and pray for all of those affected. You give words to our feelings, though; voice to the anger and frustration. I can, also, vote. And, my vote is power. And, I will use my vote to help save my brother and sister in Appalachia and further East and South. It’s MY voice. Thank you.
Thank you for posting.
Voting in Pinellas. NC legislature is supposed to be meeting tomorrow to determine procedures for the devastated areas.
Incredible Story of Helene Rescue
“Yesterday. Chrissy and I located a Young girl and a 6 DAY OLD BABY in Lake Lure.
Who had JUST given birth.
During the storm.
Alone.
(Via seeing an old man who waved at us with his dog who also needed dog food, which I happened to have…)
We were her first contact.
Before I left for our run (my car was water and med kits) I saw there was extra room. I could have loaded anything but for some reason I chose to load it down with baby supplies. Diapers, wipes, formula, bottles etc.
I had no idea I was going to actually need that stuff in real time. I just felt like I needed to load it in there. So I did. And we found the ONE person who needed it… urgently. Because she had 1 pre-made bottle left from her shower.
That….I can’t begin to describe what that was like.
I knew I was the only one that knew exactly where she was or how to get to her…so…
Today my mission was to take more supplies to her, but in reality, to convince her come with me. It took some time. She was scared. The water/mud was knee or waist deep, around her house.
I told her that yes, it was deep, but we would make it and to just trust me. Just give me the baby. So, I held baby E and strapped my backpack tight (pulled straps tight so momma could hold onto me) to my back and told momma to hold on to me and just keep going. If we got stuck we could get out.
We did.
As we speak, “N.H. & Baby E.” have been extracted. I took them to a church, relatively close to her, to recieve medical care and be ruinited with her loved ones.
I am still trying to process it.
Her boyfriend is still missing.
It’s gonna take me a minute.
Like, I’m okay…I’m safe…but I’m definitely traumatized.
But they’re okay. They’re alive. They’re safe. And that’s all that matters.
Good luck you two. I’ll always remember you.
(I had to do this today… WE are having to do ALL of this by ourselves as a community…because we have no one else. It’s just us. And hey. Maybe it’s for the best. We’re actually getting pretty good at this.)
I messed up my radiator trying to get to her. But used some water to keep filling and cooling it down; as soon as I got back, some awesome guys started working on it and got it fixed up enough for me to get back to my husband! https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/svg/1f64f.svg (Just glad I made it back!)
Ps. Please know, I didn’t write this for any kind of praise or glory or anything. I honestly figured it would get hidden like the rest ’till just now. I just know that this community is hurting deeply. And we need to see ANY kind of positivity amongst the dispair right now.
So, It’s not about me. It’s about how WE…this community, has risen to the occasion to take care of our own. And it’s been a beautiful sight to behold.”
~ Testimony of Heather Golden
FEMA Didn’t supply any of this !
Kamala Harris didn’t supply any of this!
Biden didn’t supply any of this !
They are now taking credit for all the food and supplies the Hurricane Helene Victims received. It’s a BULL!
I was on the ground! The Church Community, Non Profits, Volunteers and Americans from all over donated food and supplies!
I will not sit back and let them take credit for something they didn’t do!
Let it be Known!
Oh by the way. We were told Not to share this information. I was told by a fire fighter in my area. There are Dead Humans, cows, and other livestock at the Dam that they are unable to get out of the water right now. This is NOT hearsay. This is reality up here in the mountains.
More truth from boots on the ground. “People from as far away as Washington state.” “No FEMA”
Everyone must decide for themselves, but if it can be done, the current administration and the globalists like the WEF most certainly would. In regards to “if it can be done” watch the 2nd video too…
A positive news story about d-a-w-g-s.
Partially in the road that the only ones traveling on had their homes destroyed – how dare they!
Speaking of PACs – Musk is paying $30/hour to get out the vote in swing states according to this.
The terminals and Musk making the service free till these areas get back on their feet have been making a big difference to a ton of people.
Thanks to the Crossroads Community Church in #newport #tn for the great work they’re doing to help the community affected by Helene. Dropped nearly 4,000 bottles of water this morning to help out.
Thanks to the great work/information by @robbystarbuck and @JeremyFaison4TN Without their posts I wouldn’t have known where to go to help.
Met the pastors wife while being there. Members confirmed they’re getting no help from local/federal governments. It’s all being done by church members and local volunteers within the area.
Us Volunteers need to stick together! The US government doesn’t care about us. I couldn’t think of a more blatant failing on their part.
Keep TN and the other states effected in your prayers

Thanks much for providing the mailing address ma’am. If you happen to have physical addresses too, it helps so people can have goods shipped in.
Crossroads Community Church 424 Heritage Blvd. Newport, TN 37821
A thankful pastor in Newport.
Robby is continually getting additional volunteers to help and organizing help. (3 people volunteered in the replies to this one tweet)
Del Rio was hooked up too.
The distribution center at the church in Newport is ensuring that the goods are being shared deep into the mountains as well.
It’s nearing the end of the cookout season. Would be great if Blue Rino or some of the other propane container rental firms would make some sizable donations of 20lb containers of propane for those areas without power and isolated. If anyone has contacts with them…
Posted this elsewhere. Perhaps some of us could contact U-Haul with regard to donations.

Good idea!
A man from Pennsylvania drove all the way down to East Tennessee to volunteer.
Thank you for all the attention you are bringing to the real stories of help and need.
Please keep telling the stories, and shining the sunlight.
God Bless you for helping.
Milton may eclipse Helene. That will shift the news focus. Please know I still have the list of churches in TN. I have not forgotten. You are not forgotten. This is meant for Harrison as well.
“Get here, we need you! We need people with experience in hiking. There are only a few ways to reach these people: by foot, horseback, helicopter, dirt bikes, ATVs, or side-by-sides. If you have any of these and can get to East Tennessee or Western North Carolina, we need you. Do not listen to the news when they say they don’t want or need you. I’m telling you—I’m here, I live here, and I’ve already been involved. We need you, and we want you here.”
According to this woman, there are people still alive in the mountains who are starving. There are bodies that need to be brought down the mountain before they wash up on the banks in South Carolina. These people need closure.
There is no one else to. help except volunteers!!!
I believe her.

This factual comparison of the military rescue efforts after Katrina and Helene, provided by a military veteran of such rescue efforts, is absolutely damning for the Harris-Biden-Cooper Democrats. They are knowingly leaving people to die for lack of help.
https://thefederalist.com/2024/10/04/comparing-helene-to-katrina-suggests-americans-are-left-to-die-because-democrats-run-the-white-house/
I hope this will post. Please look at this. Sabotage at a relief staging area by a Blackhawk chopper and note that they reported people inside wore masks? Maybe private pilots do own a Blackhawks(?) but what about the two black SUV’s that cased the place just b4? This looks legit. If so, we are possibly leaving the era of a soft civil war and transitioning to hot.
This is short, look. What do you make of it?

I’ll provide multiple perspectives on it CC. Per this, it happened twice. People were injured too.
Second perspective.
Third perspective – don’t trust, don’t know. Desantis decoration, MTG hater, has TDS, and likely DS – but including it for balance.
Personal view is at best they were absolute idiots that should be yanked from the field and brought up on charges under the UCMJ. Even the greenest Lt knows you don’t come in over the top like that. There are no justifiable reasons and excuses are just that.
Last viewpoint and vid on it…
Note there are canine and armed patrols to keep looters and others out in order to protect the supplies for the people in need.
Got electricity yesterday but internet iskoo8 eratic. If i ho to a higher spot i can get. Cleaned the bathroom today and took a hot shower. Have to go out for internet. I am exhausted.
Glad to hear you’ve got electricity and water back!!!!!
And I bet that first hot shower in quite awhile sure felt good!
Things are looking up. That’s good to hear!
The best of news Littleflower!
An update from neighboring Greene County, TN.
City of Greeneville has water, but still under a boil notice. Where I live is without water yet.
The 101st Airborne landed last night/this morning in Greeneville Airport, with several Chinook and Black Hawk helicopters.
This is good location from which they can fly in supplies to remote areas just over border in NC.
Thank you to these troops but what took the authorities so long to respond this way? (yes-a rhetorical question)
Thanks to all volunteers, churches, and private groups like Samaritans Purse for all that has been done and still doing.
Thanks fo Tusculum Volunteer Fire Department (near Greeneville) for letting me fillup all my gallon jugs and providing an extra 10 gallon bucket with water – this will help to flush toilets.
Thanks to all the donations from all over, even Canada.
Mountain Strong!!!
IG said in August there are $73 billion in unliquidated funds for FEMA. Also, the Cackler and the Zoot Suit say they need Congress to appropriate MORE money NOW because they are “out of money.”
Another veteran group doing the work.
Reminder of another that can vouch for has been doing a lot of the work deep in the mountains.
Matilda shares some pics from a friend in NC. Note especially the toxic mud signs put up. There were all manner of facilities that were flooded and whose contents were mixed into the water that made the mud. There are also a lot of decaying things in the mud :'(
There are many people doing what some treepers are doing – calling and messaging and contacting by other means companies and requesting they help.
Note: I am not the me in the pic.
Mark continues to be present.
Call for all experienced ATV owners that can get there. The cold weather is starting – 40s this week, near freezing next. Time is of the essense.
Interesting emergency lighting. Note – can’t vouch for it in any way, shape. or form. Just saw it in one of the NC discussions and thought it might be worth digging into at some point.
“Joe Bama, get yo sista!” A touch of humor mixed with truth.
