I think that people there are trying to stay on top of it and do the right thing but it’s super hard to get local news here in AZ for me anyway. Both TV and radio have serious interference as does internet. Usually I have to hear something from someone or see it in places like this to try to get local news by a very specific search once I have names or places. Today someone told me that when she last voted in scottsdale they just put everyone’s ballot in a big old bin like a garbage bucket – never ran it through the machine 😳
There’s no overseas active service members in this situation. So they aren’t covering the magnitude of what they did. I did find a CNN article saying that the county, believing conspiracy theories, purchased a bunch of paper that it turns out they can’t use. I still think that they did it to enable people to go to the polls with their mail-in ballot in hand so they don’t get told they voted already. My experience in Maricopa County during the first Trump election was they denied my voter registration card, they denied my driver license and they denied my utility bills. They finally allowed me to vote but they put it in a special place to be verified later and said that I could call and check on my vote and if it was honored. I was dressed very normal. I was clean and well groomed. I wasn’t wearing any sentiments on my body that indicated political affiliation. I have zero idea why that was done to me. And really? Just try tracking your vote. That didn’t work. So I guess we do need federal watchers.
PS In subsequent elections they once again sidelined me and made me go sit in a chair while they “figured something out.” I got loud and mouthy about why isn’t my voter registration card sufficient? Why isn’t my driver license sufficient? With everyone’s attention focused on them they decided to “let” me vote. Again, clean, groomed, not overly dressed, not underdressed – I have no idea why. I happened to have a relationship with one of the watchers so we were socializing during this at which point the other poll workers tried to say I look like a hippie???? Standard clothing from a big box store. I still have hair. Even if I WAS a “hippie” how is that a reason to deny my vote?

Statement from President Joe Biden on U.S. Support for Ukraine
I am proud to welcome President Zelensky back to the White House today. For nearly three years, the United States has rallied the world to stand with the people of Ukraine as they defend their freedom from Russian aggression, and it has been a top priority of my Administration to provide Ukraine with the support it needs to prevail.
In that time, Ukraine has won the battle of Kyiv, reclaimed more than half the territory that Russia seized at the start of the war, and safeguarded its sovereignty and independence.
But there is more work to do. That is why, today, I am announcing a surge in security assistance for Ukraine and a series of additional actions to help Ukraine win this war.
Today, I am announcing that:
I have directed the Department of Defense to allocate all of its remaining security assistance funding that has been appropriated for Ukraine by the end of my term in office.
As part of this effort, the Department of Defense will allocate the remaining Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative funds by the end of this year.
I also have authorized $5.5 billion in Presidential Drawdown Authority to ensure this authority does not expire, so that my Administration can fully utilize the funding appropriated by Congress to support the drawdown of U.S. equipment for Ukraine and then replenish U.S. stockpiles.
The Department of Defense is announcing $2.4 billion in security assistance through the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, which will provide Ukraine with additional air defense, Unmanned Aerial Systems, and air-to-ground munitions, as well as strengthen Ukraine’s defense industrial base and support its maintenance and sustainment requirements.
To enhance Ukraine’s long-range strike capabilities, I have decided to provide Ukraine with the Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW) long-range munition.
To further strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses, I have directed the Department of Defense to refurbish and provide Ukraine with an additional Patriot air defense battery and to provide Ukraine with additional Patriot missiles.
This builds on my decision earlier this year to divert U.S. air defense exports to Ukraine, which will provide Ukraine with hundreds of additional Patriot and AMRAAM missiles over the next year and will help Ukraine defend its cities and its people.
To build the capacity of Ukraine’s air force, I have directed the Department of Defense to expand training for Ukrainian F-16 pilots, including by supporting the training of an additional 18 pilots next year.
To counter Russian sanctions evasion and money laundering, the Department of Justice, the Department of the Treasury, and the U.S. Secret Service have taken action today to disrupt a global cryptocurrency network, in coordination with international partners.
The United States will continue to raise the costs on Russia for its war in Ukraine and to deprive the Russian defense industrial base of resources.
I will convene a leader-level meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in Germany next month to coordinate the efforts of the more than 50 countries supporting Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression.

You may be correct … but set your comment aside to contrast Kerry’s comments vs evidence presented across the media that Worldwide usage of COAL and OIL are reaching historical levels and that China Inc. is the LEADING USER and EXPANDING its use. There have been reports in US Business Media that US Mining on China Inc.’s behalf GREW last year.
So … China Inc. is actually pursuing a balanced approach and realistic deployment plan … while soaking the West for Cash as they pursue their insane Green New Deal goals and approaches.
Then there is LNG usage, which has not been addressed lately but if COAL as well as OIL usage are expanding then LNG is growing right along side them.
Now to be fair to China Inc. and other users of COAL and OIL (even LNG), there are technologies that exist today that actually support very clean and very safe “environmental usage” (by Green Weenie Standards) of these fossil fuels. Not that the technologies are or are not deployed but the technologies do exist.

Many nations keep a nervous eye on U.S. presidential races, but none have as much at stake this time as the people of Ukraine. For them, the outcome could determine how their war against Russia ends, and their leaders have spent months vying for the support of both candidates. The effort, which culminates with President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to the U.S. this week, has involved priests and billionaires, highly paid lobbyists, and a former British prime minister.
As of Sunday, when Zelensky arrived to begin his trip, some officials in his entourage seemed to be tempering their expectations. No matter who wins in November, one of them told me, “things will get worse for us.”
Given how tight the U.S. presidential race remains, the Ukrainians cannot afford to stop engaging with either candidate. They have tried since the summer to build bridges to the Trump campaign, holding numerous meetings with senior Republicans and former Trump administration officials. Among the most prominent has been Mike Pompeo, the former CIA director and Secretary of State, who has expressed interest in joining a possible future Trump administration. In recent months, he has met several times with senior Ukrainian officials, helping them understand the dynamics of the U.S. presidential race and the Trump campaign’s evolving stance on the war in Ukraine. In mid-September, Pompeo met with Zelensky in Kyiv and offered some practical advice on how to advance Ukraine’s diplomatic strategy: appeal to America’s interests, not its values.
“It has to be good old-fashioned greed,” Pompeo told TIME in Kyiv after his meeting with Zelensky. “It has to be a good old-fashioned, commercial, profit-driven, incentive-forming, risk-taking, entrepreneurial model that delivers that sustainable place for Ukraine.” Appealing for American help in the defense of Ukraine’s democracy or its survival as a nation would not be likely to secure Trump’s lasting support. “It can’t be a donor base,” Pompeo explains. “It’s not, ‘Hey, we had a donor conference.’ Those are interesting, and they get things rolling perhaps.
