Those old guys fall hard for fur kids. My dad cooked breakfast for his every day. In his late 80’s he was still picking up injured birds and taking them to wild animal rescuers. Why we all need dads who demonstrate toughness…….and compassion. ❤️
My aunt learned the hard way about the oldtimey cat doors that swung both ways when a mob of ravenous raccoons made way into her home.
We had one of those old timey cat doors in our Dutch door (back door) in Wales for our herd of moggies and our Jack Russell Penny. We were rural, but only occasionally (thank goodness) would one of our kitties bring in the night’s haul…rabbits.
When we moved back to Texas, we likewise installed a door for the brood we accumulated….until we realized that there were raccoons about. Curious creatures, aren’t they, my brother…and smart. That door has now been rendered inoperable.
Worst thing we ever had come through our doggie door was two illegals from Guatemala!

She waits a week and tries again. Sad, because I was really looking forward to some help with the St Louis drive. This momma is tired of driving and wants the passenger seat for a long while.
I am sorry. Call it a test run. She’ll ace it next time. I know what you mean though. All three here after they got their licenses took a load off Caroline. Once they had their learner’s permit and they’d be going somewhere hours away from home, she’d let them drive,as you had intended to do with Savannah. Straight roads. Good experience. Hezbollah admits that not only the Operations Chief who was acting as Chief of Staff got killed but also 15 Commanders of the Elite Radwan Force.
The IDF located them in a meeting in Beirut under a building and with 4 missiles sent them to another meeting.
The IDF improved the abilities to target underground targets.
Radwan Force has been training for years on conquering the North of Israel and committing a genocide like Hamas did in South Israel.

This would frankly not surprise me as I have considered the alleged number of fatalities to be extremely low.
Live streams from Beirut indicated that ambulances were still rushing to hospitals well over an hour after the attack.
Did that Telegram Channel claim that attacks also occurred within Iran itself? Or were they referring to Iranians who happened to be inside Lebanon?

The source is Dr. Guy Bechor. He is Israeli who is an expert for Middle East and is having an ability to see through the lies. So his point of view helps me to analyze better. He is usually right. He is the one who said all along that the Hostage deal is a theater and will fail. But on this one I doubt the source, but he did show the actual document in Arabic that is from a Hezbollah source he is saying. I didn’t guaranty it so I didn’t post it.
But he said that this was an internal document of Hizbollah made by the head of Military Intelligence. and it is saying that: 879 terrorists killed by beepers, of which 131 are Iranians, 79 Yemens, and of those 291 are senior positions. 602 very badly wounded, ie the killed will rise to about 1,000. 509 blinded, 1735 organ damage, 905 irreversible damage, ie, less terrorists will be able to act. He is calling it a historic act of war equal to the Trojan Horse.
I have to say that right after the attack I saw a video wit an airplane from Lebanon to Iran full of badly injured people, a large airplane. Those could be Iranians and Senior Hezbollah people.
I also had a video of those people arriving to Iran and many ambulances receiving them.
There is a chance that Mossad will win this war for Israel. Not something new.

Ibuprofen is a great pain medication and helps with inflamation.
There is also a soap at the hardware store or garden center or Amazon, “Marie Original Poison Oak and Ivy soap” It is all natural and relieves itching. Lather it up and leave it on.
“Manzanita Magic” is an antiseptic liquid that relieves skin problems also. Very soothing anf good to help heal blisters.

vitamin D 3, 5,000 units a day, 50 units of Zinc ( best one ‘zinc bi glycinate’)
I used to get Shingles a lot especially in my right eye, which is dangerous a it can damage the optic nerve. It did. Go to the hospital if you have it in your eye.
You really need ‘Valcyclovir’. from a pharmacist but you will probably need a prescription for it.
Get this D3 and Zinc into you quickly, it might be a good idea to take a little extra zinc on the first day with the D3. They work together (as in fighting Covid)
Shingles is a nasty virus. Lots of vitamin C to keep up your immune system will help also. Try to get Liposomal Vitamin C 1000 units per capsule. Mine are ‘Natural Factors’ 180 capsules. The liposomal type of Vitamin C is much more easily absorbed by the bod, than the dry tablets. Take about 3 to 5, 1,000 unit capsules a day spread out. ( any form of Vitamin C if you cant find the liposomal)
As the D and zinc get fighting the virus, the discomfort of the rash will ease off. You might be able to get an antiviral medication to dab on the blisters, like a cold sore (similar virus) medication.

“Curel” has a lotion which is for specifically for itching. It is dermatologist developed. I have used it on itchy bug bites and the relief is instant. Used sparingly as Patience’s links say, that might help. Also, there is anti itch cream in a tube available at pharmacies and Walmart. Generic 1% Hydrocortisone….not expensive. We keep it on hand.

Hi Darrell. Years ago I came across a patent application study for using a topical ivermectin lotion/cream on shingles. The ivermectin cream is called Soolantra and it’s prescribed for rosacea. It’s very expensive. All it is though is a small amount of ivermectin horse paste (pinky tip amount) mixed into a little Cetaphil lotion.
Before applying to rash wipe over it with like a dry washcloth to break the blisters then apply the lotion. By breaking the blisters the lotion gets absorbed deeper.

I got interested in researching topical ivermectin when a dear friend developed drug resistant shingles following covid vaccination. I was thinking ivermectin helped in covid maybe it would help topically on my friend’s shingles. Sadly, she never tried it and suffered from active weepy shingles for over 2 years. Her doctors tried every antiviral with no response. They did acknowledge to her it was a vaccine side effect.
My best to you on getting quick relief. It a miserable thing to have.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

For caturday:
Yellow-throated Warbler, had one in my yard the other day. Got a great look at it as it perched on my fence for a solid minute while I had my binocs in hand. Gorgeous bird and one of the easier fall Warblers to ID. These were very rare and localized breeders where I used to live, more common (as common as endangered Warblers & many other songbirds are these days) in the Southern US. It’s migration time and keep your eyes peeled, you never know what could appear in your yard, or travels now.
For those looking for a family friendly movie, here’s one I have posted about before on here. It’s the story of Winnie the Pooh. They hardly ever make movies like this anymore.

OK! I am not mowing. Not because I was convinced not to by any person. The weather is what convinced me. We have rain in the forecast for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Why mow just before it rains and the grass has a burst of growth. So I’ll wait till Tuesday or Wednesday.

“The producer of Darwin’s Natural Pet Products has refused to recall certain raw cat and dog foods despite the fact that the FDA has found contamination with Salmonella and Listeria.
“Because Arrow Reliance Inc. has not recalled the implicated pet foods, the Food and Drug Administration has issued a public warning. The FDA is recommending that pet owners discontinue use and throw away the implicated foods in secure containers. There is concern that some pet owners may still have the foods in their freezers.
“Pathogen contamination of pet food is not only dangerous to pets, but can also infect the people handling the food. Also, surfaces and utensils used during preparation of the foods can cross contaminate human foods.
“A similar incident in October 2023 led to the FDA issuing a public warning. At that time, the Darwin’s producer refused to recall certain pet foods that had been found to be contaminated with Salmonella.
“The current warning covers certain lots of pet foods that are sold in 2-pound white and clear plastic packages with four separate units. The dog food has blue labeling, and the cat food has blue and green labeling. The lot codes are printed on the front of the lower left unit of the package.”
