I personally witnessed this yesterday when my Haitian Lyft driver, who spoke ZERO English, stopped the car and called 911, claiming he was being “surrounded” and was “scared for his life.”
In reality, he was ticked off because someone took his picture.
In the video, you can hear the frustration in the 911 operator’s voice, as the driver couldn’t even tell them which language he spoke. The taxpayers were forced to pay for an interpreter for this false 911 call, and MANY others like it.
Not being able to speak to the driver, I simply got out and left in an associate’s vehicle.
According to an officer I spoke with later in the day, MULTIPLE units were dispatched to the scene, who quickly discovered the whole thing was a farce.

All weekend people are talking about Kamala’s taxing of unrealized capital gains.
I learned that many people, especially 35 and younger, do not realize what this means.
It means if you have equity in your house (if you could sell it for more than the mortgage or if it is paid off and free of a mortgage), you will owe capital gains tax (around 25% if it is long term and more if short term) on the equity amount.
For people whose homes or condo have appreciated, that could be a huge sum. For people in California or Hawaii or even Florida, that could be a huge tax bill. They might have to sell the house which I think is the real idea of this. “You will own nothing and you will be happy.”
And this is not property tax, it is income tax on capital gains.
For example an older person who has paid off their mortgage and maybe inherited another paid off house, would have to pay income tax on the total amount the house(s) were worth in 2024. Many would have to sell to pay the taxes. Enter Blackrock, etc.
If you inherited a house that was paid off, you might owe death taxes and capital gains income taxes.
Obviously, there are details to all of this that have not been clarified but this is what Kamala has stated she will do. Once, people fully understand this will they vote for her?? How about those highly paid New York MSM cable hosts? What has happened to their penthouse condos?
The hook is that it is aimed at folks with $100 million. After year one there won’t be any of those people left. Want to bet the criteria keeps dropping? This one policy destroys capitalism.
