As a member of the US Coast Guard, while stationed at the US Coast Guard base in San Juan, Puerto Rico, I was one of 64 coasties that received the ‘SHOOT, DON’T SHOOT’ training. I was the only one out of the 64 that had a 100% perfect score. Everyone else failed the last scenario, in the last training movie, where a coastie was acting like an a**hole and was going to shoot an innocent, unarmed couple at a beach. We were supposed to act like we were part of the training movie, as if the situation was real. Everyone else freaked out and did not do the right thing, I did the right thing.
I demanded that the coastie in the training movie holster or drop his weapon, or I would shoot him. He did not, he wanted to kill the innocent, unarmed couple. So I fired a rubber bullet at his head on the movie screen. A couple of seconds later the coastie in the training movie fired at the couple- that showed that if the situation had been real, I would have saved them 😃 🙏 💖 .
After the training for all of us was over, the ‘SHOOT, DON’T SHOOT’ instructor explained to the other 63 trainees why I had done the right thing (saved 2 innocent people, even if I had to shoot a CORRUPT coastie to do it).

One thing – Ashli is a 14 year US Air Force veteran and only a Sergeant. Are they using “Sergeant” as a generic class? I was only 10 years active and two years Reserve and got to Technical Sergeant. After eight years you had to be promoted to Staff Sergeant or they wouldn’t let you go on. Of course you could be demoted down and therefore probably not be kept around for so egregious a deed. Then there was her polyamorous situation and her “sudden” disappearance so that no one in her family realized she was gone.

I see you did a much deeper dive there, but even a cursory glance at the J6 video footage casts doubt on the official story. LEOs moved about nonchalantly as Ashi was “executed” right under their noses.

This is another great book by Jack Cashill. I have read a dozen of his books and recommend them highly. Several books on Obama; the death (killing) of Ron Brown, Bill Clinton’s Commerce Secretary; “Untenable”, about Cashill growing up in Newark, NJ in the 50s and 60s as the son of a policeman, and the transformation of that city into a modern “no-go” zone; and “Sucker-Punched”, a biography of Cassius Clay.
I had forgotten he had also written a book on Ron Brown. Another great read.

I’d agree with the Billy Bush tape being possibly influential but the Stormy Daniels issue has been consistently & very publicly denied by Pres. Trump and appears to be a false accusation intended as a “wrap-up smear.”
The other thing that people who question Cashill’s statement are forgetting is that the Stormy Daniels’ allegations would not have been nearly as effective due to its plausibility if DJT had never developed a reputation for casually – and extra-maritally – bedding down a few attractive women.

Cashill’s speculation – that never-married single women with children understood and accepted DJT – was likely based on the assumption that their less-than-perfect life choices influenced their tolerance of Trump’s less-than-perfect lifestyle (before Melania settled him down). IMO that’s a perfectly valid assumption on which to rely for understanding Cashill’s highlighted women at the Jan 6 protest until proven otherwise.
Some Treeper a while back posted something to the effect that all the windows in the Capitol had to be blast-proof (post 9/11) and therefore nobody could have easily broken the window in the door Ashli was attempting to climb through when she was shot. Dan Bongino this past week was talking about those fake bombs, and seemed like he was going the right direction, noting that objections about election fraud were about to be broached on the House floor, and that they needed to stop that, my hopes were high that he would say what CTH knows about Pelosi’s Parliamentary Procedures Plot.
He then claimed that the bombs were intended to be the PRIMARY, even the SOLE, method to thwart the proper course of a legitimate election certification, but the J6 Riot just happened to occur completely out of the blue so the Derps called off the investigation of the fake bombs and went with that as their excuse to demand that the election be certified without objection; a riot and murder just fortuitously fell into their collective laps.

Can’t say I thought Bongino was a shill or idiot but I wasn’t particularly impressed with the sources he kept referring to as I didn’t feel like I actually received any valuable information from his show. I watched an occasional show for awhile and then gave it up as a waste of time.
Bongino is quite like Hannity (tick-tock) was in the past. Always has a “breaking story” from his “inside sources” that results in a nothing burger or just more reiterating the same junk news on top of junk news.

Cashill mentions here that inside the Capitol where people wandered there were very few – I think he actually said none, except for the Ashli murder – violent altercations. But that infamous alley where the crowd was forced into a heap, and Roseanne Boyland died, was an entirely different story. Cashill talked about how it was a perfect place for cameras to catch the action!

Multiple comments below address different issues. One is Cashill‘s response to Donald Trump‘s behavior. Anyone who is aware of his history, multiple marriages playboy-like behavior in his younger days are well aware of that. My wife has mentioned multiple times that women know Trump’s past, and they’re acceptable of that because of his policies and what he has done and will do for this nation. The Marxists want to play on that hoping it will turn people away, especially women. That strategy has failed.
The second comment some people have addressed is the role of the media in covering up crimes. I have come to despise the media and have been suspicious of them ever since the 60s. I was watching TV at the time TWA 800 went down not far from my old neighbourhood during high school and college. I went to Jones Beach, Robert Moses and Gilgo back then…legendary during the 1960s.
Several Nassau County Police Officers in the area said on the news that they saw a missile launch from the ground that stuck the jet and blew it up!

A few thoughts after listening to Cashill:
I tend to agree that the Capitol Police, glorified security guards and tourism guides, were useful tools who were in over their heads. Not “in on it”.
Second, Cashill theorizes that Pelosi wasn’t in on the insurrection setup given the recent videos released of her fretting over not securing the Capitol with National Guard, seeming to be blaming herself and horrified, etc. I don’t buy this, because what the heck was her daughter doing there making a documentary. And who allows videos of themselves in privatge fretting moments. I tend to think more that this was “acting”. I was somewhat surprised that Cashill so easily seems to give her a pass while at the same time fleetingly throwing out a hypothesis of the DNC. That’s contradictory.
The Kamala Harris silence: hard to know whether she has a clue one way or another, although her not correcting the facts given so many wrongful indictments (or being asked about not being in the Capitol by the media) is despicable.
I am not ready to say that the Secret Service was “in on it” either regarding the planted pipe bombs. The fake bombs now appear to have been planted shortly before they were “needed” to be found. Perhaps because Trump supporters were not, in fact, adequately “rioting”.
It would seem that there was an ongoing plan in place in which events were being monitored and choreographed by a group in… DOJ, FBI, and/or 0ther IC. I suspect too that since planning these kinds of operations needs to be tightly controlled because people screw up and blab, including inadvertently, that it was a fairly small group who likely used various others (“informants”, some military, homeless, Antifa, whatever) whose information was limited regarding why they were tasked with this or that in connection with the conspiracy. We still do not have a clue regarding “who” that group swuld be.
My final thought is a question that was not adequately answered by Cashill’s surmising that Babbitt was motivated at least in part by the covid shenanigans and etc. I still am having a difficult time understanding a young woman (with financial issues too) leaving her young kids, family, and flying (the other women Cashill writes about all drove because of covid bs) to go to DC on her own. All alone, not even with a friend. I do not understand how, if she supposedly listened to the Trump speech, she then managed to walk a half hour (Cashill says 45 minutes) to the Capitol and yet find herself inside effectively at the front of the crowd. I do know that, quite oddly, part of her military work included a task force related to DC capital security. This entire scenario remains an enigma, and while it’s not popular to say, I cannot shake wondering about it. Was she one of the (paid?) provocateurs. Cashill, of course, could only get info from her family, and it would not do re a book titled “Ashli” to cast any negatives in light of the horror that she was murdered. But this story still doesn’t add up for me.

1/6 was planned to be a bloodbath, with Deep State assets (Ukranian probably) dispersed in the crowd firing on Capitol Police, who would then return fire. The resulting massacre was then to be deemed an armed insurrection, resulting in the arrest and imprisonment of President Trump. The plan failed when the 1/6 protestors refused to be incited.
However, as we have seen, the Dems/Deep State merely continued with the planned narrative, even though it was weak in the face of relatively little violence.
Ashli and Byrd put on their skit as part of the plan to incite. She was supposed to die under her alias of Ashli Pamatian (a unique name, known to nobody), then return home and resume her life as Ashli Babbit, her substantial debts paid off in recompense. Her alias would simply be listed with the actual dead.
But because the plan was a dud, without the hundreds of dead that were planned, there was substantial focus on her “shooting”, which revealed a poorly rehearsed, sloppy interaction that does not stand up to serious scrutiny.
The Deep State would prefer Ashli as a dead victim, rather than a crisis actress. That’s where Mr. Cashill and his book comes in.
There are also Trump supporters who see her as a martyr and symbol of the depredations of 1/6. They too would rather a dead victim over a living crisis actress. Ugly, but true.

Jack Cashill is one of a very few true journalists with integrity and honor. I met him many moons ago in Addison, TX when someone had put on a three day conservative film festival and he was present promoting his book on TWA Flight 800.
I got on his email list and used to receive them regularly and then they stopped coming much like this site’s emails stopped coming into my inbox. I never cancelled and didn’t notice until someone posted something from the Treehouse and I resigned to get emails again. Strange how life works.
…and I don’t see any mention here in the threads of Cashill’s investigation entitled ‘If I Had a Son’, (and I could have missed it.…) which specifically explored the mess of the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin fiasco, and which was dedicated to the admins of the Treehouse”and especially, Sundance”.
The first chapter of that book documents the roots/beginnings of the Conservative Treehouse, with a focus on Sundance’s personal introspections and commitments which came to somewhat of a specific focus in the events of June 5, 1989.
So in all the reading of Jack Cashill’s investigative works, please read ‘If I Had a Son’.
Before reading them all (which I’ll do in a bit), I skimmed through the comments for just that reason. Jack Cashill is a very honorable and dedicated man who I have worked with in my attempt to get the NTSB investigation into the crash of TWA 800 in 1996. He was present at one of my lectures on the subject at the Flight Path Museum in Los Angeles and spoke to the audience when I was finished. He is a dedicated researcher and follows only the facts as he discovers them. I look forward to reading his latest effort and highly recommend his other books as well. We need more honest journalists like Jack Cashill.

Regarding the conduct of Michael Byrd; a close review of the video footage reveals calculated execution, malice aforethought. Ashli was lifted up by men dressed in black, with the appearance of SWAT, and placed into the frame of the damaged door, as Byrd stepped forward with his handgun and calmly shot her.
The men in black carried long guns and the immediate reaction appears to be law enforcement conduct.
