Several people have asked why the recent outlines about Tulsi Gabbard (Trump endorsement) and RFK Jr (Tucker Carlson interview), were presented without any opinion or analysis to accompany the articles. Allow me to explain.
Friends, first, I am in action mode identifying who specifically is uploading state/county level registration data for key state ballot printing operations. It sounds like boring footwork because it is, well, boring footwork. This is not sexy, but hopefully this can have a big impact where needed.
Additionally, I am also just like you – trying to figure out how the intersections of the IC are playing out within this newly created coalition of MAGA and influential Democrats, the Unity Party as it is termed.
Essentially, on some aspects to these recent developments I’m trying to figure it out along with you; while my attention is operating at lower level toward what might be called the theatrics of political events. Ballots matter right now more than all this other stuff.
That said, I am certainly not buying a lot of what is being put directly in front of me to purchase. Someone recently said we have just accepted this intelligence operation of the 4th branch of government as if it is a hurdle to jump, or a gate with a lock to pick.
I’m not the guy that just accepts this stuff as our – “new normal.” Eff these IC clowns.
Another aspect is how all of these anti-Trump anti-commonsense narratives (essentially lies) over the past several years are just accepted as the baseline for point making. I just tune the conversation out because the premise is false, like RFK Jr saying yesterday that President Trump is “reprehensible” for what he did on January 6th, and Tucker Carlson just sitting there nodding in agreement like a goofy tool.
My mind sees that conversation and says, “what the heck is that all about?” They both seem intelligent, Tucker has presented the FBI J6 stuff before, and yet they talk about J6 as if Trump was raging at people to attack Capitol Hill government.
This conversation as broadcast just doesn’t make logical sense; not just in the way they are talking about stuff, but in the content of their discussion – it’s like watching a performance that isn’t quite scripted but yet both of the participants have agreed on points to include (and those points are goofy).
Usually, when I see this type of activity, I put it in the ‘possible IC operation’ file. Yet, I’m told by everyone in MAGA world that this is the best type of conversation for coalition building and don’t look at RFK Jr with my customary skepticism because unity or something.
I’m sorry, but I would rather hear about Trump administration staffing (who is on the transition team) from the official campaign, not random members shooting from the hip. Beyond RFK Jr calling Trump “reprehensible,” a very odd way to talk about being supportive of a candidate you just endorsed, RFK Jr acts like MAGA is supposed to join with him, align with him, agree with him, benefit from him, not vice-versa.
Essentially, if you watch the messaging from RFK Jr and his key influencers like Tucker Carlson, they are replacing Donald Trump (at least JD Vance) with RFK Jr., that doesn’t seem cool.
Then someone reminded me that Steve Bannon, Charlie Kirk, Tucker Carlson, Roger Stone and Michael Flynn all wanted Robert F Kennedy Jr to be Trump’s vice president. Not only did they want it, but they all talked about it constantly, perhaps that’s part of the dynamic we are watching.
When RFK Jr says President Trump’s people reached out to him to become Vice President before he offered the position to JD Vance; RFK Jr saying he rejected the offer; I’m left to wonder why Kennedy would make such a statement?
Now, in addition to accepting RFK Jr being unchallenged as he says, “President Trump is reprehensible,” I’m supposed to find “unity” in the ego of a very self-centered Kennedy saying he will be inside President Trump’s administration, on President Trump’s transition team making decisions, after publicly saying he rejected the offer of VP, which -if we are honest- is said only to make JD Vance smaller, and that speaks directly to the character of RFK Jr.
When I look at all of this, and granted I am not exclusively focused on it – so I might be missing stuff, the construct taking place here smells a lot like an influence operation. Yes, I want to win… I want all of us to win… However, factually I’m already tired of people shouting “purity” at me as if it is some kind of disparagement.
If expecting Robert F Kennedy to refrain from calling President Donald Trump “reprehensible” is some kind of purity test, then consider me guilty of demanding a purity test. I don’t mean to be argumentative / not a team player, but as we get into formation for the last 70 days before this election, I don’t want the guy standing next to me stabbing me in the neck with his pencil either (hey, appropriate Philly reference).
I’m also absorbing what it means for the RFK Jr endorsement to resurrect the “Q” tribe into 2024.
The CTH social media feed is suddenly swarmed again with Q supporters talking about the RFK Jr endorsement of President Trump being some long-ago-created master plan. Another ‘plan to trust’ cycle of “drops” and “proofs” was not something I expected. Seeing this also raises my suspicions of an intelligence community at work.
As long as all of this MAGA/Democrat coalition stuff ends up with a net voter benefit for President Trump, I guess it’s all good. However, if any of these unity efforts are done with an intent to mitigate the financial effectiveness of a Trump second term, ie. the general origins of the DC oppositional system, then we need to intercept more than just fraudulent ballot printing operations.
Remember, a few important things. This opposition group are relentless.
DC tried to cancel him – that didn’t work.
DC tried to block him – that didn’t work.
Someone tried to kill him – that didn’t work.
Lawfare tried to stop his ability to campaign – that didn’t work.
…. And there are still trillions at stake.

It bothered me from the moment he said he was backing him instead of endorsing. He has been vague, not offering to help in a specific role but acting like his role is a partner.
When he said joining the transition team, I felt ill, that was odd. That should have come from President Trump. He is not MAGA. Why would he be put in a role like that. Then he said more are going to jump in.
President Trump seems oddly quiet about all this. It feels like this is spinning out of control. Maybe that is exactly what they want to happen.
Highjack MAGA saying they just want to help us win. Then create internal chaos with all these factions pulling in different directions.
Then Kennedy dares to call our President reprehensible. Following the lawfare/IC talking points. Feels like he wants a great deal of control over our movement. Again, he is not MAGA. He has screwed up and moved to fast. Desperation. I feel played. Remember, they really think we are stupid.

I had such a good vibe about Friday when RFK, Jr. gave his press conference and then when he was at the Trump rally. Looking forward to “unifying” with Democrats who don’t recognize their old party anymore just as many of us don’t recognize the Republican Party. RFK, Jr. DID do a magnificent job on Friday . . . when I realize I am thinking of it as a “good vibe” I hope it is all really for real on the part of RFK, Jr. and I would appreciate Tucker not giving me that “tool” vibe, but he does!
Just the week before, was it, the bear cub story that was so bizarre and then learning more about his second marriage and how he conducted himself and then reading the book “Ask Not” by Maureen Callahan plus the inane notion of Donald Trump, Jr. about making RFK, Jr. the CIA Director, I was not expecting much or wanting much.
I remember well those “Q-Anon” snippets about these signs and “drops” and it finally irritated the hell out of me, like what are we supposed to do, not think on our own but wait for the latest item from Q? I think the final straw was the note Lindsey Graham was putting in his jacket pocket (still haven’t found out what that was, even with Kelly and Mattis honing in on him with laser beams across the pews at the funeral of Senator John McCain, with Henry Kissinger standing in between, the man at the listening post).

I have noticed that Tucker has a very hard time actually challenging ANYONE that he interviews on almost anything that they say…he tends to fall pretty quickly into a “hero worship” or a “me, too” mindset, hoping to look smart or cool or something!
He has done it with people as diverse as Andrew Tate to Vladimir Putin, from Thomas Massie to RFK, Jr. and it really annoys me! I don’t know if he isn’t smart enough to challenge people or if he simply has an insatiable need to be liked, but I was not surprised at all that he didn’t respond to Kennedy’s dishonest/disparaging comments about President Trump on January 6th. I honestly would have been pleasantly surprised if he HAD said something!
Perhaps Tucker was unaware that RFK Jr. held this point of view, but he has said this before, using the exact term, reprehensible. The first time I heard it I thought that the January 6 stuff was just starting to come out, Jr. was probably unaware of the facts at that time.
I had no idea that he was still oblivious, but Tucker had to have realized it. It’s one thing to let your interviewee talk, but when you see that they are making a statement based on a falsehood, it would be the appropriate time to step in with the question, “what was it he did that was reprehensible?”
The viewers deserved that, because some might be uninformed about January 6, and hearing a statement that the President did something reprehensible certainly warrants a followup as to what that was.
It’s possible Junior does actually believe that. Yes it’s odd that he would support someone he thinks was reprehensible, but then again RFKJ is odd.
No matter what way we see it, we were left with questions, and that’s Tucker’s fault.
“Reprehensible” is the same term Cheryl used about her own husband’s behavior when he used an Anne Frank reference later on that same January.
“Challenging” someone makes them go into defense mode. If you want to learn more about a person, rather than starting out by challenging them you instead put them at ease and draw them out.
Hopefully people don’t get so triggered by one word in his opening comment that they miss a genuinely interesting and encouraging interview.
Nope, sorry – I do understand the difference but still maintain that Tucker is unable or unwilling to push back on almost anything that anyone he interviews assert and that is a SIGNIFICANT failing in my opinion! If he calls himself a journalist, then he has an obligation to at least know enough facts to be able to ask follow up questions and make his interviewees defend their positions. It can be done confrontationally, cordially, or inquisitively but it MUST be done!
Tucker knows that the J6 narrative is false. He didn’t need to accuse, challenge, or call out Jr. IMO but he did need to get clarification of just what Junior meant by that. To get a sense of whether he was lying or just terribly ignorant.
I personally would have wanted to hear more from RFKJr. about that.

Yes, a good journalist can ask for clarification without being overly confrontational – just ask the person to explain what they meant and then let them do so. it is NOT a hard skill, IMHO, and, if done correctly, can be very illuminating to the audience as to where the interviewee really stands on an issue!

I remember all of the angst and hand-wringing that went on when Trump was the only Republican (that I recall) to condemn the Iraq invasion during the 2016 campaign, when Hillary couldn’t escape her vote to authorize the war.
Now we have Trump as the only candidate willing to question the wisdom of spending US taxpayer funds on a forever war in Ukraine. I’ve been opposed to our intervention from the beginning, and was disheartened to see the House Republican leadership buckle to the war machine’s demand. They still don’t push back on the ruse that the “border security bill” brought up time and again during the DNC was actually a back-door Ukraine funding bill.
The one thing that Trump, Gabbard and RFK Jr. have in common is the call to end our funding of foreign wars. Who else is willing to call for peace? Maybe it’s as simple as that.

I had the exact same reaction to RFK Jr. using the world “reprehensible,” about Trump on January 6th. It is factually incorrect.
The way I look at RFK Jr. is he is hoping to make a difference to the children of this country before it is too late for him to have any political power. He was equally willing to work with Kamala but she didn’t have the intelligence or the character to understand what he was offering.
I see him as a lifelong democrat. The issues that the democrats used to stand for the democrats have lost. On unnecessary foreign wars, democrats used to stand against wars. On the issue of the needs of the working classes and middle class, democrats used to champion their needs. No longer do democrats care about the poor, working class or middle class. Democrats used to care about making sure everyone had a good job and a chance at the American dream. No more, the democrats stand for elites and billionaires, and international cartels controlling every aspect of our existence. Democrats used to care about the environment. Now they want to force everyone into poverty by not allowing fossil fuel use.
On all the issues that RFK Jr. thought were democrat issues, these issues have become CONSERVATIVE values, interests, and needs, and only TRUMP, not RINOS, cared about them. So RFK Jr. realized he had way more in common with Trump than with anyone else.
None of this is to say this is not an influence operation. Both of these things can exist at the same time. It is extremely important that we keep this potential in mind. Sundance has done so much research on how these things actually work that he has been able to predict outcomes sometimes years in advance. For example, he predicted what would happen to De Santis’s campaign well before anyone else did, because he understood what an astroturf campaign looks like and saw all the earmarks of exactly that kind of phony campaign. If Sundance sees the possibility of an influence operation being run on Trump through RFK Jr. I think it makes sense to take that to heart and consider it a vital part of the picture.
RFK Jr. probably still gets his news from all the sources we here at CTH no longer have any interest in: cable news, N Y Times, CNN, NPR. People who get their news from these sources are sure to believe that Trump’s behavior was reprehensible on January 6th just as they believe that Trump and Netanyahu are a “danger to democracy.” I watched another interview with RFK Jr. in which it appeared that while he is very pro-Israel, he had a negative bias about Netanyahu.
Any of us if we got our news only at those news sites, we would all think Netanyahu is a “danger” just as we would think Trump’s behavior was reprehensible. These are 24/7 ideological subversion sites, where the same messages are hammered home week after week, year after year. That is what ideological subversion is.
I believe it is possible that RFK Jr. has some of this ideological subversion because he has been so immersed in left wing politics for so long. It is also possible that if given more accurate information he might actually change his mind on both of these issues (Trump’s behavior and Netanyahu).
Regardless of whether or not RFK Jr. is or is not open to changing his mind, either he will be a team player and work constructively for the betterment of Americans or his role as destroyer of Trump will show. It will not take any of us long to see it, if he does turn against Trump at any point in time.

I agree. He’s too sincere otherwise so that remark revealed that he really has not looked deeply into the facts behind J6. He does not get a pass from me because he’s had more than enough time PLUS a lot of damning information has come to light over the past year that further exonerates Pres. Trump and the attendees while further implicating & incriminating the DemoRats, Secret Service, FBLie, Capitol Police, media, and the White House. RFK needs to walk back that very uninformed & biased statement…
What is it that causes RFK, Jr. to only be concerned with cases that are connected to him and/or his family?
He went on a campaign to get his cousin Michael Skakel out of his prison sentence for the murder of Martha Moxley.
He championed looking into the case of Sirhan Sirhan, in prison for the assassination of Senator Robert F. Kennedy.
Why can’t he look further out of his sphere to see the injustice and suffering of the J6 Prisoners?
Isn’t his trained lawyer’s curiosity piqued by the spectacle of the J6 Committee destroying all of the evidence they gathered?
How can he even have practiced as a lawyer and not be appalled at this being done to fellow Americans?
He doesn’t even seem to know how appalling it really is.
