It reminds me of the Jonathan Gruber strategy. Remember him? He was the architect of Obamacare. He basically said, in a panel discussion once, that they could not be transparent with the ACA Act. They had to hide the details of the policy (the cost to taxpayers, income redistribution element, etc.) in order to get it past the American people.
And, I’ll never forget it. Wearing an elitist grin, he said it passed that way (no transparancy) “because of the stupidity of the American voter”.
It is the same here. They think they can simply say things like food price control and $25,000 gift to first time home buyers…sprinkle it with “joy, joy, joy”….and win the election because they think the voters are stupid.

Yes, I’m guessing the exposure of “Election Fraud” has been one of the major pillars of President Trump’s liberation of We the People.
I think of the Allegory of the Cave Dweller. We have been in a cave looking at shadows for so long (the TV), that we have no idea how much we are being manipulated.

Think about how long we’ve been manipulated into believing how close our elections have been. It’s actually all fake. They probably haven’t been close for quite some time.
It’s all been a complete manipulation with Mockingbird Media pushing a false narrative, fraudulent pollsters pushing false results, Hollyweird pushing the idea that so many Americans are woke, beta males are cool, etc (Hollyweird is also a huge part of Operation Mockingbird). We have been manipulated into believing that large swaths of Americans would actually vote for woke principles.
In reality, I’m guessing most Americans are of the wholesome, normal family life type. We all just want the American Dream. We want the Norman Rockwell type of life. We just want to be left alone.
We are manipulated into believing we are in the minority, when in fact it’s just the opposite. We are in the overwhelming majority. That’s why we re-elected President Trump in an overwhelming landslide.
Despite all the best efforts of media manipulation to suppress the truth, the American Spirit shines through. It shines through at every Trump Rally, boat parade, car parade, convention, interview, etc. There is no hiding it. It’s busting out at the seams. The shackles and blindfold are coming off. The Truth is being revealed. That Truth is setting us free.
And boy, were we ready for it. The timing is perfect.

Good analogy but This Old House does not have people actively trying to stop them from fixing up that house. The owners wanted it fixed by the people who do the best job.
It will be a long hard process and there are many steps to go down each path that leads to fixing a broken part of our ‘old house’ nation. The road blocks are on every path we have to traverse to fix this country and actively being added to by the enemy every day.

A couple restored an ancient, roofless but still partially crenelated “listed” castle that was spitting stones at them faster than they could clean out the spoil inside its walls which, once deprived of the buttressing stones, created a race with time to shore up the dangerously weakened walls so they could begin the actual work of re-building.
Against all odds, they achieved their dream and now live in the house. And it is truly glorious.
I have always loved Churchill’s observation that “Nations that go down fighting rise up again.”
And now here we are, led by a man who rose up from the ground carrying the weight of three people on his legs and back, to shout to us from high above the crowd, “Fight, Fight, Fight!”

I would add and emphasize social media – FB, Instagram, TikTok – all capturing the minds – and souls!-of so many of our young people as well as old enough to know better people. A distorted and often perverted picture of reality.
I have a hard time with my grown-up children and the amount of time I see their faces stuck to those phones. And that’s from kids who didn’t grow up with this stuff.
I don’t like my grandkids anywhere near those things. I will let my granddaughter look at my phone with me sitting right there with me. And I only do that to keep her from watching mindless youtube videos on the tv that is currently not under my control.
God is our only hope – especially for our kids. If you know any, have any that you can possibly deprogram – teach them the Word of God. Read them Bible stories. Take them to church. Get them involved in kids bible studies. At the very least teach them to pray and pray with them.

Your positivity is welcome! I wish I could say the same here in my neck of the woods. In a deep blue area of a blue state, the people around me, family, friends, coworkers, etc. still refuse to see the reality of what is going on with the govt. and politics. Nearly all of those I am around have voted Dem all their lives and still do. Party line votes straight down the ticket always. They do not care to change and don’t educate themselves on the specific issues.
Many are union members, working public or private union jobs. Some are struggling financially, most are still doing ok but complain about the high costs of food and gas and living expenses in general yet they can still manage to have some extra money for entertainment. The inconveniences are not great enough to push them to examine why this is happening. They also rely on and like govt. managing their lives in great measure so they don’t have to think about it much. Point being, there are still pockets of clueless voters who just go along with the political party and media propaganda. It’s very hard to be surrounded by this daily and keep a positive outlook but I do. I just have a very cautious positive outlook based on everything I see and hear. CTH does provide a welcome relief from the maddening beliefs of the straight up Dem voters that are the majority in my area. Attempting to pass along truth and information has proven useless pretty much but I still try to get some of it out there. Keep fighting for truth is my daily mantra.

In case anyone was curious, Walz does not speak Chinese. I found one video in which he says “hello” in Chinese and he botches the tones. So, whatever he was doing in China, it did not include serious language study.
btw, you may recall the media fluffing up Jon Huntsman Jr, and praising his Chinese language ability. No, his Chinese is just so so. He makes a lot of tone errors, although his pronunciation is fairly standard. Its unlikely that he reads and writes the language. Not sure if it’s related (but most likely is IMO), but a few days ago around 4:30 AM, people (unknown how many) in a sedan drove up to the main gate of Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX and opened fire on security personnel. The SP’s fired back and the car sped off. Nobody hurt that I’m aware of, but the “investigation” is being conducted NOT by the military that was attacked, but by the SAPD (which is probably for the best given the state of our woke/broke military these days). Currently no suspects or motive are known, but one could easily make assumptions given the situation in this country today.
In addition to that, about 2 weeks prior to this event, base commanders all over the country were warning military personnel to “be extremely careful when in uniform, including on AND off base, as they are no longer safe on American soil”.

Arghhhhh, I’m so angry right now. I just overheard my 88yo mother talking to her 87yo neighbour about Trump. They have no idea who he is running against, but both declared they hope he loses the election. They could not cite any reason why they dislike him except that he said he is better looking than ‘that other candidate’. They have no idea about her radical commie policies, her terrible choice of a China loving VP or the backstory of her upwards trajectory to failure. They also have no idea how Biden and Harris have wrecked America in the past 4 years or how Trump left the country in better shape compared to when he took over and what it’s like now.

The cost of most government (federal, state, and local) programs is dramatically increased by minority bidders that are given preference over their competitors. A brother and a best friend (2 separate businesses) that had to use a minority go-between (+10-15%) to get the contract that did nothing but put their name on the bid in Chicago. This is probably true in most major US cities.
Combine the above with woke hiring and promotion of people beyond their capabilities or qualifications leads to the cost overruns, corrupt and inefficient government. Then add that to major corporations and universities hiring and promoting incompetence to keep the boycotts and media away,
Let’s keep lowering standards in education to the lowest common denominator in all that we do so we don’t offend anyone.

I have not mentioned that I am a (basically) unpublished novelist, as well as a teacher of foreign languages and assorted kinds of History. (I have also composed music, but that is a different story.)
The decline has been occurring for decades and is deliberate, because companies no longer take a chance on anything outside of a narrow set of guidelines.
This is why there are (I recently read) 2 million titles “published” per year (mainly by the would-be authors themselves).
There is a Gresham’s Law in literature and music as well as money: the deluge of bad art drowns out the good and the great. Companies – when they were honest and driven by the art itself – gave great authors a chance, knowing that their less popular styles and themes would not make as much money, or would perhaps lose money, but the companies wanted the prestige of publishing e.g. novels by an Icelandic author, Halldor Laxness, a Nobel Prize Winner, whose works are wonderful, but would never make much money.
An agent once sent me a rejection – not a form letter – in which he said my book “was very unusual, with a remarkable style and interesting, even unique characters, which is why it can never be published.”

Things have only become worse: the latest is the craze for book covers with LARGE LETTERS in PASTEL COLORS! Somebody did a test to see what kind of cover might attract people’s attention, and now practically every book has a cover with LARGE LETTERS and PASTEL COLORS!!!

Most of my fiction reading is 18th and 19th Century classics (American, British, French, Russian, etc.), although I make occasional forays into 20th Century material, but no later than the, say, Bellow and Beshivis Singer. My last serious reading of then-modern fiction was in college (Pynchon, Nabokov, Barthelme, Kerouac, Didion, etc.), back in the late 70s and early 80s.
I scour antique shops for old books: most recently I came across Ohio author Zane Grey’s The Union Pacific Trail from the early 1900’s about the building of the transcontinental railroad line.
Today even fiction seems to have to work in wokeness to get published.

To walk a path of truth is not always an easy one…..but at the end of each day Iam at peace with my maker.

Audit The Vote PA, a non-partisan, non-profit organization. Although not a named petitioner, they also uncovered overwhelming evidence of registration problems in the 2020 and 2022 elections. For the 2022 election they found:
54,463 people voted in a county in which they were no longer living; and 8,177 people voted despite not actually living in Pennsylvania;
6,356 people were credited as submitting a mail-in ballot, but did not have any votes credited in Pennsylvania’s SURE system;
69,832 mail ballots were sent to an address unaffiliated with the voter’s registration;
18,589 people requested multiple ballots be sent to multiple addresses, with some people requesting additional ballots to be sent to up to four (4) separate addresses; and
5,492 registrations show as having two votes on record in two separate counties.
United Sovereign Americans peer-reviewed data teams analyzed Pennsylvania’s voter registration data from the 2022 general election and found “hundreds of thousands of voter registration apparent errors in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. These apparent errors were not uniform across Pennsylvania — some counties had far more registration apparent errors than others.”
Out of 8,755,458 voter registrations, there was a total of 3,192,069 voter registration violations including:
20,097 illegal duplicates, where the same voter has multiple registrations
43,083 illegal or invalid vote history
28,256 backdated registrations
268,493 registrations where the period of active registration conflicts with the registration participation
448,335 invalid or illogical registration dates
633,508 illegal or invalid registration changes
154,913 registrants with questionable address
1,580,750 registrations with records altered after certification
They found 1,198,598 evident voting violations, and 1,089,750 unique votes impacted by apparent voting violations, including:
8,026 illegal duplicates, where the same voter has multiple registrations.
340,266 invalid or illogical registration dates
632,215 illegal or invalid registration changes
59,609 registrants with questionable addresses
138,291 registrants with altered votes after certification
