This passage in Romans 1 describes rebellion against GOD and the steps on the road to perdition – the rest of Romans outlines the way to repent and return to GOD on the Road to Redemption, Restoration and Righteousness, Peace and Joy.
There seems to be a lot of these unpleasant people around lately, many in positions if power where they can choose to do more evil and hurt others, and many in position of trust where they choose to be dishonorable and betray others. God has exposed many of them.

Our beloved furry companions are indeed a member of our families. We love them and we mourn for them when they die. I have had a couple of feathered ones too who were part of our family.
They bring us so much joy and companionship when we are lonely and sad. In return we do our best to give them the best life we can, with protection and loving care. and God made them for that purpose I truly believe.
They are much more understanding and intelligent that many would believe. Once in a while something happens in our lives and they help in some way, where they prove their abilities, feelings and ‘wisdom’ to us.
jb, I know people make fun of those who watch animal videos.
But I will tell you, in this house without animals (we’ve had a many in the past) watching them from time to time is a way to withdraw from the incessant battering of daily happenings.
And after having been amazed…absolutely AMAZED!!!… at the interactions of birds, animals, all God’s creations with those not only of their species but also inter-species, I am convinced that in man’s arrogance and yes, hubris, we do not know but a fraction about all He has created.
Like a window which has been opened to His methods, His mysteries, His beautiful intricate planning of everything He has created.

Biography: Walter Chrysler spent nearly 20 years of his working life working on the railways in ever more senior positions until Charles Nash, President of General Motors hired him to manage the Buick factory in Flint, Michigan.

I saw 2 small Warblers at the patch of woods on Friday where I eat my lunch. I did not have my binocs and they were moving through the canopy foliage rather quickly like Warblers usually do, and I saw one land in front of my car yesterday while looking at some local ponds. I did not get a clear ID on that one either, but it could have been one of these. What it tells me is that the very early Fall migration is starting.

Nice! I have the yellow bellied pine warblers in my neck o’ the woods.
I have been mildly obsessed with caring for “my” native Floridian sub species Sandhill Crane with injuries to his/her left “hip” and right foot.
I have to run off the migratory “snowbird” Sandhills when I feed “Sandy” corn and mealworms. I have theorized that the native birds don’t try to attack “my” bird over food or access to the water bucket. It’s only the snotty out of towners.
I have also noticed the slight anatomic differences in feather color and overall size between the native and non native subjects.
Very cool of you my friend. I have volunteered at bird rehabilitation centers in the past. So you are doing great work and showing a keen eye on spotting those slight differences that most people miss or do not bother to see.
You are quite the Naturalist friend. Keep up the great work, the birds,animals,pollinators,plants need people like yourself. I’ve always believed we are Stewards for God’s creations.

The Ospreys here seem to have made an early exit this year from my neck of the river. Only a few left from dozens. My favorite bird.
Hi friend, one of my fondest memories is of me & one of my childhood dogs and my father watching three Osprey’s taking very large Goldfish from a pond in a park in my town a long time ago.
Have a small flock of eight here, one of the favorites.

The Lord continues to desire all of humankind to turn away from false gods and idols and turn toward Him in repentance, faith, and belief. There are no half measures.
One commentator said, “There can be no genuine conversion without genuine repentance.” You have heard the Gospel and have received God’s command.
Pray for the United States to come to a time of repentance.

Colkitto, I so do love this!!!! I have a couple of neat cookbooks, but nothing beats the Betty Crocker Red Book in my opinion. It teaches the basic fundamentals and as one masters the basic recipes, it teaches your palate to strike forth with substitutions and additions creating your own repertoire.
I have a beautiful GREEK cookbook that looks more like an artist’s book than it does a culinary instruction.
Fun stuff. Deeply enjoyed this Tasha Tudor cookbook.
I’ve started to compile my own three ring binder of all my weird recipes – so Savannah knows, if there is ever a fire, grab the kitties, this one or two files out of my drawer, and the family cookbook!
Afternoon, dear Woo 😘 I’ve saved some inexpensive recipes for our boys now that they are in the wider world and who will, no doubt, come to understand they will be constrained by their own pocketbooks. What a brilliant thing you’re doing for Savannah. Love it!!
I inherited all my grandmother’s cooking cards,books, etc But unfortunately some of my favorites of hers like her Orange cupcakes, slow cooker short ribs recipes are missing. I did find her famous egg free Wacky chocolate cake which is incredible though I can never get it as great as she did. I love reading and looking at her beautiful handwriting, its art in of itself. Meanwhile I am a terrible handwriter. To me those are priceless on many levels and for you and Savannah they are as well. Eating breakfast/lunch/dinner together is so important for family unity. We always did though sometimes we had to wait for my father, and if he was late we worried.
Allow me to repeat a story . . . My mom was a wonderful cook. One of her family favorites was her splendid custard pie. It was my favorite, of course. Whenever I came home for a visit she’d have a freshly made pie waiting for me. It was that good.
Sadly, mom developed Alzheimer’s and, in her late 80’s was being cared for in a nursing home. My cousin, also a fine cook, wanted to make a custard pile like mom used to make. So one day at the nursing home she asked mom how much vanilla she should add to get mom’s wonderful tasting pie filler. Mom just smiled an enigmatic smile and said, “Oh, a little bit” . . .
Good cooks know how to “eyeball” the ingredients. But LOL!!! Your mom’s pie was for you…hers to prepare just for you. Love the story 💕😌

Well yesterday I was working out behind the barn. I had to dismantle a t-post that had been wired to the barn.
I took a pair of pliers and cut the wire. What I didn’t realize was that it was under intense pressure and came springing back with incredible power. It clobbered me in the forehead. It nearly knocked me out but I staggered back.
I had heard my wife, who is a doctor, asking the kids where the car keys were! I’m so glad she was nearby. I yelled as I ran back up to the house bleeding like crazy.
She ran and got me seated by the outside tap washing the wound and getting a handle on damage. My daughter came with bandages they cut up into homemade butterfly strips. She got me tidied up. A doctor friend who lives near by opened his clinic and got me six stitches and a tetanus shot.
When I got home my daughter was making chicken soup from a whole pack of bones we had kept from our chicken butchering.
This made me smile!
Everyone works together out here. We serve an amazing God. He is constantly watching over us.

When society reads “the coming of the lord” they see a kind benefit from heaven, it’s not. It’s judgement.
When we pray for the lord to “come down” it’s judgement you are praying. Which will effect us all not just those practicing evil for gain. For we are all made from dirt, be wise to remember that.
And evil has no place here, in a world built by God it becomes what you see, an oddity, an unnatural thing or unholy. It will devour itself.
I have no doubt Kamala will be president, we are not living in a republic anymore we were duped long ago, our country has been under the rule of evil for some time. Question is, will we remain? Will we allow this to continue or hope for the next election of thieves to restore us? Insanity has overtaken this country and world. Stops are woven into the very fabric of our world, by a righteous God.
Religion must be replaced by a love of God and relationship with him, a motive to transcend not blend in. Only great pain can achieve this I suspect. Or history would never read as it does.

So when the end times do arrive, they’ll be going “Meh – disaster upon disaster – been there, got the sackcloth, bring it on.” Seriously though, you are correct to point this out. Justly or unjustly for many (it’s not for us to be the final Judge) – but the “day” is not going to be a pic nic for mankind. However, as most of us are surely aware, and as you have hinted at, almost all of our great moments, our realizations of truth, inspired art, music, poetry, writings, etc etc, have often come Because we have navigated those “disasters”. I believe that this will be mimicked in the final day.

I am with my oldest in spirit as she releases her first fledgling today. As she texted, “Exhausted and dreading leaving without him.”
It will be hard, as all parents who have done the same will know…
I know yesterday I said of my lengthy unloading, “Enough”…
But this morning I awoke to her FB video of the four of them (Mom, Charlie, Jack, their sister Sarah Grace ) and SG’s best friend, Samantha, jam packed into my daughter’s small car, in the dark of night travelling somewhere, belting out at the top of their lungs ” Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” 🎶
All the tears burst forth…
Boy…I did NOT see that coming… 😭 😭 😭
Now enough…onward.

Charlie’s twin Jack who departs in September has invited us out to lunch next week. Just the three of us..he took us by complete surprise. We will make an ultra strong mental cocktail with that.
One last note…
As you may remember, Chris’s two sons had muscular dystrophy, and both are with their Father now, free of their earthly constraints.
What a gift these three have been for him. They call him “Grandad” and adore him. He has been a strong presence for them when otherwise it would have been absent and has passed on all his hard earned wisdom and life lessons which were given to him by his own much loved father. He has been a constant mentor and they have listened.
It is good…so good…to understand how God in His rich mercies has provided in grief the solace of the grandchildren he would never have had. So we take the gifts He has given us, store them in our hearts, and bless His Holy Name.
These are the children God has given us. God has been good to us. Amen 🙏🏻
And now, I’m off to see to the Mags who has been left in our care. She is a sweetie. Best for her? When she’s at Bucca’s house she falls under Bucca’s rules at mealtime.
Which means half a small packet of “Old Roy” dog food mixed with her dry. Filet Mignon flavour !!! She thinks all her birthdays have come at once. LOL!!! With food inflation what it is, that’s as close as either Chris or I have come to filet mignon as we are ever likely to!! Spoil her much??

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

Negative thinking brings about negative outcomes
The opposite is true and to what it succumbs
When we take authority of events in life
We eliminate the stress and the strife
Whatever the problem or issue that disturbs you
It is nothing you and God together cannot subdue
When God enters the situation the solution is clear
You will have eyes to see and ears to hear
