We have talked about the disconnect between union members and union leadership for several years. Within the trade unions the disconnect is even more noticeable.
Barack Obama leveraged union support to defeat Hillary Clinton in the 2008 primary. However, as President Trump entered the world of politics in 2015, the dynamic of union membership support radically changed.
Donald Trump, known as the blue-collar billionaire, has always held a great relationship with various trade unions. President Trump has long supported the philosophical intent of trade unions as a collective body to stop corporate exploitation of members. The workers support businessman Donald Trump and as a politician and businessman Donald Trump has always supported the workers.
In this segment broadcast on CNN, the more than modestly annoying Frank Luntz, outlines the union membership support for President Trump as contrast against the corrupt union leadership support that aligns with their personal financial interests. WATCH:
Frank Luntz says union members are telling him, for the first time since he started focus groups in 1989, that union leadership doesn't speak for them
"Donald Trump is doing better among the average union member — not teachers unions and not government unions — but everybody… pic.twitter.com/WwGcifRZIH
— johnny maga (@_johnnymaga) August 14, 2024
The faces of the CNN panel were fraught with physical pain as they considered what Luntz was saying. lolol

Outside of teachers and government unions, any union that supports the commie pedos is signing their death warrant job wise.
Their jobs will be outsourced or taken by cheaper illegals.
These proud, hard working Americans will not be fooled by the media that hates them.
Speaking from a lifetime of experience,
A proficient tradesman has no need for union membership.
Trust God. Fear not.
Never gave a penny to a union, have done and still do fine.
“more than modestly annoying” is still a very kind description of Luntz
Frank Luntz saying President Trump is doing well with the average union worker but not teachers or government is because of the hiring.
the government hires DEI exclusively and encourages pronouns in email signatures. its an environment unpleasant for anyone but a leftist. Our Federal Workforce is not representative of the people, it is superficially representative based on Anti-MLK speeches.
He’s got a new wig!
When it was found out that it only cost $10…
Luntz said, ‘It was a small price toupee.’ 🙂
toupee or not toupee…
that is the question.
😂😂
,…you ask when you see his rug is on fire.
WOULD I pee on him, if he was no fire?
are you asking “to pee, or not to pee?”
aye, there’s the rub!
😂😂😂😂
Aye, there’s the rug !
oh veeeery good, DE!
👍🏻😂👍🏻
Roommate McCarthy has entered the chat…
Is he looking for a new Kevin??
Does that mean that he belongs to the pipefitters union?
(My apologies to actual pipe fitters.)
No – cable layers union….
Stop, stop, stop…..can’t quit laughing!!!!
You saw that, right? He does have a new piece!
Looks more like a hair hat!
Yeah, but it should have had some silver streaks like his beard because this way it looks phony.
Yeah, like silver streaks is gonna make it look less phoney, lol.
Like Pepe Le Pew?
He caught Biden sniffing his last one.
Trump needs to start differentiating between his policies that worked and the failures of Harris and Biden. By personally attacking Harris. he’s doing the Dims job for them. One has to remember the undecideds are mostly made up of disengaged political people that make their minds up just before or when entering the voting booth. It’s not the popular vote that counts. It’s winning enough swing states to win the electral college vote and picking off off one or two blue or purple states. If it’s close, he loses, because there is enough cheat figured in so he has to win legit voters big. This country is done if he loses. You have to campaign knowing that half the country is stupid or disengaged because it is.
this sounds echo’d from Nikki Haley. Don’t let her influence. She could care less if we breathed another second.
What he is saying, is working with these union workers….
they are talking about OTHER people..he’s got the union vote, just like the MAGA vote. He needs to be speaking to OTHER people. He’s not, he’s not reaching out to them to tell them what he will actually do.
Nikki is right. I don’t like her but she spoke a lot of truth right there, what I’m hearing from dedicated Trumper around me. We can’t carry him over the line on our own we need help from women, and others.
He can do it, like Nikki said. Is he willing to suck it up and try to convince those who don’t already love him to give him a chance? I don’t know. He’s not investing much in campaigning now so I don’t know what is going on.
Trump does not have the “union vote”. 99% of all government employee union members will vote only Democrat and there are 23 million government employees.
Your statement is both a lie and ignorant about the nature of unions today.
Government employee unions have gamed the system and now sit on both sides of the bargaining table rotting this country from within from the teachers union interests taking over local school boards the long standing abuses of Obama, Biden and now Harris being absolute tools of SEIU an the major public sector unions.
“23 million government employees” That number is staggering.
2020 Census numbers; Take 23 million government employees and add two or three family members and friends who also vote and what do you have? (Madame President Kamala Harris riding in on this massive Big Government union vote)
This is the unelected fourth branch of ort government we are always being warned about, that has finally reached a critical mass tipping point in 2024.
THIIS is the threat to our democracy. Which naturally is why Democrats are screaming we are the threat to hide the obvious.
Democrats are one election away from owning us totally ..just by growing Big Government.
IIRC pierre delecto romney gave a ‘private’ talk that ~47% of the voters were then government employees.
So its a vote of government employees voting for their jobs and raises, vs people who do not get to vote for their jobs and raises.
Yes, in this “economy” the government employee numbers could be off the charts!
And we can thank the idiot class RINOS who approved year after year funding to keep the machine greased while they get their own pockets filled.
FMJ and FKM!
they will vote for their jobs and pensions
and don’t forget the state employees
And that 23 million have with impunity tasted the power of their numbers since 2016 and are now in full tyrant kill mode. Complete with Obamas private army of ANTIFA and BLM plus what they have increased with the ME factions post Afghanistan and illegal cartels.
What is about to be unleashed on the American public is epic destruction.
Lol. There are not 23 million federal employees.
It is closer to 2 million, and that includes the military.
“23 Million Government Employees” Local, State, and Federal…
No, there are 2.95 million US Government workers, Not even half belong to a Federal Union.
Many Fed workers are not eligible to to belong to federal unions. Asn for military 2.25 military personnel. The numbers are from 2023. All of you need to fact check people who state “23 Million government workers ” and furthermore infer that all of them belong to a union… Please do yourself a favor, propaganda is rampant….
That’s 2.25 million military personnel… Corrected.
I got one word that appears to have worked MIRACLES in Argentina…..
¡A fuera! 🥳
Sí, la motosierra!
And now, the Secret Service is telling us that their failure in Butler is due to “not enough money”!
Just disgusting, it’s always the same … Pay us more, “no more doing more with less”, like the peons paying your salary. STFU, you loser pr1ck.
You are talking FEDS .. I’m talking hard working Americans
I happen to be the wife of a union man …so STFU on what I know and don’t know
I am talking sheer numbers of government employees: federal, state, county, municipal and special districts.
It is insane to think they will not vote in their own self-interest first – which has created an independent voting block within our government. Get aa grip. We are at a fundamental tipping point in this nation. Own it. Growing Big Government even bigger is our death sentence as a nation.
My family owns a construction company. So, I agree with the wife of the union worker from West Virginia. Our iron workers know what will happen if we lose this battle.
So spare the rest of us from your disgusting Debbie Downer attitude and get out and register the people who stand to lose more than an argument here.
definitely correct in the past
but, this is a new era of politics
blue collar workers will go for Trump
in massive numbers
they purchase groceries
put gas in their vehicles and pay other bills too
“blu collar” are private industry union members who are much smaller in number than the 23 million government employees who want to devour every tax dollar they can get their hand on.
We are at a critical tipping point in this country- those now 100% dependent on tax payers has reached a critical mass. And the public sector unions are exploiting this advantage to the max.
No one like kamala Harris should even be in remote striking distance to be POTUS, but 23 million government employees beg to disagree. Please let this sink in.
Welp…by your logic…give up now. Cuz all those military types many worship? They’re are also funded by taxpayers.
Making an assumption that every Government employee, and their families no less, will always vote Democrat.
I KNOW Gummint workers that will be voting for PDJT.
And, we all know family members that don’t vote the way we do, so why would family members of Govt. workers be any different?
I’m hardly a Union guy, but you have a single issue you ALWAYS post about, so an AGENDA, and you post things as statements of fact without any attempt to “back it up” and which are patently exaggerations.
Late to this thread but I’ve been a building trades union electrician in NY for 35 years. Individual wiremen slowly began trending right ever since NAFTA and the momentum has increased ever since, until 2015, when our VSGPDJT helped change the mindset of union tradesmen forever. God, country, family and jobs will always be paramount for hardworking Americans! MAGA 🇺🇸
Dutch, thanks for putting it in an easy and eloquent way. I was finding it extremely difficult to put my thoughts into words, in a manner that wouldn’t offend the ladies of the Treehouse. My inner Navy was trying to leaking out.
Ten thousand up votes too.
With the decimation of the private sector many people gravitated towards government jobs that in prior years would have considered those jobs to be beneath them. MAGA means opportunity and as the economy improves more people will leave their government jobs naturally and new businesses in niche markets that have remained unaddressed – people will be more confident to follow their hearts and use their expertise and hopefully have the resources to not get gobbled up by the bigs that sacrifice the integrity of their dream for $. I hope.
I Belong to PEF union in NYS, working for the office of mental health. Good Lord it’s most Libs that suffer from TDS. Lot of angry people waiting for their next booster.
Don’t discourage them. Clot shots for all Democrats. Pass it on.
Thank you for your post. With abortion rates being higher among liberals who are too selfish to want children there is a long term bright side: far fewer offspring to become useful idiots who March in the streets protesting with Antifa and hamas. I may not live long enough to see the complete reversal but I assure you, it will happen
Oh I forgot all of the thrice (and more) boosted liberals who will become statistics of their lack of discernment
Public unions are ridiculous.
I know, I was hassled incessantly for trying to stay out of the California Faculty Association.
No one thinks of them when we’re talking about “union members.” Lunz specifically excluded them.
Trade Union, working with your hands union, which is what he needs. He is not getting the government unions no. And would be surprised with the number of teachers in rural areas that vote for him.
PDJT isn’t courting the SEIU, Government or Teacher’s union types. His rapport is with the blue-collar unions. Those are the voters he keeps siphoning off.
Yeah, Nikki’s outlook was so good, she got smoked even with Dem crossover vote.
He’s not investing in campaigning? You mean like all of those over capacity rallies all over the country?
Concern is noted.
yeah, one rally today
one rally Saturday
Far cry from normal
Vance should be out every dang day …
Not campaigning? What about the conversation between Elon Musk and President Trump? 72,000,000 views and counting between the ages of 24 and 35, I believe, over 70 %. What about the live stream with Gen Z’er Adin Ross, a friend of Barrons, with upward and counting views of 450,000 and 500,000 views, last I saw, with Gen Z’ers. I call that campaigning in MAGA numbers. Both the conversation with Musk and livestream with Ross probably now have many more views. Both broke the internet. Smart Campaigning IMHO.
Yes, Vance should be taking up the forward operations in earnest.
I’m mindful of PDJT being one month out from an assassination attempt. I’ll cut him some slack on the specifics.
when the judges coudlnt stop the rallies (lawfare) the assassinations started to stop them(warfare)
I’m gonnna assume you are surrounded by leftist or something and thats what brings the urgency.
Spotted long ago.
If you don’t think the rest of us don’t take notice of the communicating back and forth of you and your friends, think again. Who are you to judge other’s patriotism?
probably waiting til after the dem convention, just in case they realize the dumpster fire the harris walz combo is,and dump em for someone else.notice she hasn’t given any interviews whatsoever.so this could be the plan.
oh come on man
they are not dumping them at the convention
that is sticking your head in the sand
Good point – after the convention, the opposition may change names bigly.
You are exactly right. Way too many people on our side have no idea what it takes to win elections. Rallying the hardcore supporters won’t cut it.
Rally the hardcore supporters to head out and change hearts and minds 👍
I think it’ll come to that…
Naomi Wolfe had a nice article on exactly this recently.
https://naomiwolf.substack.com/p/how-not-to-run-against-vice-president
I just read that over a Billion people
listened to President Trump and
Elon Musk the other night.
A Billion people!!!!
🤷♀️ 🤷♀️ 🤷♀️ 💁 🤷♀️
Actually about 77 million listened in at some point and the rest of that 1 billion were responses on social media to conversations (memes) going on.
listened in real time
or clicked on the video later
what about the viewership
of the repostings elsewhere?
that is great .. but there can be more inroads made
Keeping the base we had won’t win…
Time will tell. I hope he wins but Haley had a bunch of good ideas and at THIS point what could it hurt to take some friendly advice and put it to work.
Money should not be an issue. There are no ads anywhere, no billboards. Olympics was full of Kamala Kamala Kamala. She got a lot of attention. Lies but most voters are not smart.
Haley had a bunch of good ideas? Really?
I watched maybe an hour of the Olympics. Even the libs I speak to didn’t watch the olympics. They got the updates from their social media that controls them. Buying ads on the live feed would have been a bad investment, if that is the case.
My goodness, what have you been drinking, I have read your comments for a long time and this is not you, or maybe you were trying to fool us.
“Time will tell. I hope he wins but Haley had a bunch of good ideas and at THIS point what could it hurt to take some friendly advice and put it to work.”
What the he!! are you talking about???? I’ve been watching PDJT go to places (i.e. the Bronx, Atlanta, and others) that would normally be very tough for any Republican. His courage is breathtaking.
The “base we had” is growing by the day, because President Trump is not afraid to campaign in unlikely places!
Not sure but maybe you’re waiting for Nikki to make a big comeback? Hmmm…..
Yes and his livestream with Gen Z Adin Ross broke the internet also!
Me and over 999,999,999 others
……’Trumper’?? edging into pejoratives and advice from nikki?
Actually, I think Trump has reached out to people telling them what he’ll actually do– He did it on X with almost 2 billion impressions. Those impressions aren’t just from his base. Trump is also going on different Youtube podcast shows. He is reaching people the MSM can’t. Nikki doesn’t know what she’s talking about–she couldn’t get 100k impressions.
In his chat with Musk, which reached right over the head of msm, and had to have reached plenty of “undecided’s” and Indies, he did PLENTY of compare/contrast, both with the Biden/Harris POLICIES, and with oointing out the inevitable consequence of their policies vs his.
He, and I have a faith in the American people, that you unfortunately lack.
As far as his investments, he is taking a gamble, and parting ways with the traditional big ad buys in major markets, blanketing the airwaves, radio and tv with ads everyone hates, and where all the negativity tends to cancel each other out, and he is vieing with Karmala for the voters attention.
Instead, he is going internet, podcasts, etc.
I think it will pay off, but lets wait and see.
He talked to over a billion people Monday night.
👀👻 full of 💩
Well maybe a sane group not attached to the Trump campaign has to fill in that gap.
We’re not talking RINOs and UniParty here.
He’s not investing much in his campaign yet because no one knows what will emerge from the DNC convention this week. Once his campaign sees the final vote, he should let loose and fire on all engines. And I would run more campaign ads during the last day of the convention.
Remember, the (D)emons have a 2-tier delegate voting system. Delegates are elected by their respective states’ voters and the Super-delegates are comprised of the party elite and elected political leaders in DC. Now, the ordinary delegates are the wild card, they are the ones the party disenfranchised and should be pretty angry. The Super-delegates are not committed to anyone, and many have no use for Harris too. This could end up being a contested convention if we dare dream.
The (D)emons back-bench is thin. With his head down, focus on his platform and his campaign working hard to overcome the crap that took place in 2020 he has a good chance at a win. There’s only one other area he needs to concentrate outside of what he’s been doing. He needs to start visiting Black & Hispanic neighborhoods in person. These people are starving for his attention and he could really make higher gains with them than polls currently report. Those voters respond positively to candidates who speak up close and personally to them.
Wasn’t even considering Haley in my comment. All I’m saying he has to speak to all of America when campaigning, not just interest groups like the libs always do. This garbage about him locking up certain interest groups is garbage. Few know what a vast amount of voters are
thinking and why they vote the way they do. Several people vote uniformed or for stupid and uneducated reasons. Look, everyone that’s engaged know that Harris and Walz are a calamity waiting to happen. Trump and Vance need to start talking to all of America and just not their dependable base. Haley didn’t influence me on anything.
I want Trump and Vance to claim that it is NOT DEMS and NOT BIDENHARRIS that have empathy for the American workers, blue collar or white collar.
It’s a simply statement and it can be backed up by one sentence: You cannot claim as Harris and Biden do that THEIR economy has worked for Americans: grocery bills, gas bills, heating and electric bills, insurance bills, name anything…..Americans have been hurting since Joe Biden and Kamala Harris killed the financial health of this land and its people.
Then, the killer on top of the killer sentence: “and as this economy continues to drive daggers into their dreams and their financial health, Biden and Harris continue to insult them with “the great economy!
“Who does that? Who the hell does that? No one with respect for the American people, no one who cares about the American people, no one with EMPATHY would do that.
“It’s a lie that democrats give a damn about ordinary people. A damn lie!”
yep..gotta hammer that home
The work is doing that hammering in a way that informs not inflames. IMO, that can be a tall order at times.
I face that challenge personally in my economic warfare operation, convincing others to suffer a bit to take the war to the Communists. People like/love their money.
Anyone that doesnt know that already, would watch us be gassed after sentencing and think its a honorable removal from society.
It may already be too late, contemplating who endorses who, and percentage numbers in the polls. Take a look at Jay Valentine’s Omega4America website, and posting in Substack: https://open.substack.com/pub/omega4america/p/trump-loses-to-harris-mail-in-ballots?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android&r=fdt0m, if you still think Trump has a chance at winning in 2024.
This country is done if he loses. You have to campaign knowing that half the country is stupid or disengaged because it is.
This part I agree with. The part about the personal attacks on Harris I do not.
Any and all attacks against the Demonrats.
Pea, please just stop it. If you think you can do a better job or lead people better than President Donald J Trump, ask for a job or run for office yourself. Once the Demoncrap nominee is finalized, then, and only then, do you start the ads. To do it any other way is wasteful and premature. Don’t put the cart before the horse.
…hops painfully off my soapbox after surgery today…
The truth went around the studio and smacked them all upside the head. 🤣
Many vote the way Union leadership tells them to, many don’t. If they live in Realville as Rush used to say the smart ones will defect the ranks, and the communist leadership.
The day our Union President introduced a tiny little he/she in what he said was the new face of leadership within the ranks, was the day I left NY for good.
I’m a retired 50 year trade Union Member maintaining my dues.
For those having no idea I offer a condensed look into how it works and how it has changed over the decades and why we are different from say the school unions.
The Local Hiring Hall is like a tool rental for people.
If you need a chain saw for a few days you go rent one. No other duty.
If for example a Trump Organization is putting up a building it calls the Locals and request the Tradesmen needed. If the Locals cannot man the jobs they put out their needs to Locals all over North America and Travelers will come for the jobs. I am a BTJ. Building Trades Journeyman. I can journey to where there is work.
Trades Unions provide schools for our members, maintain our retirement funds, our health plans etc. The hiring contractor doesn’t have to mess with any of that. That is our value added. When no longer needed the contractor sends me back to the Hiring Hall and has no further obligation.
I receive no vacation or sick pay. No bonus. I get my check and that’s it. Also a Building Trades year is figured on 1500 hours because of time between jobs. If you are traveling you incur housing expenses a person working locally does not.
Union “leadership” is no more connected to the guy working in the field than the National Chamber of Commerce is connected the Chamber of Commerce in your small town.
DJT the “blue collar” millionaire was out and about talking to the crews and from what I have learned was respected and well liked and so workers are going to get more done. Win win.
As a young fool I thought at least they can’t out source our jobs.
Boy was I ignorant.
yep unions for Coal Miners are awful. But you’ll hear the UMWA president always endorse these slobs who killed coal.
Please accept my sincere appreciation for your taking the time to summarize the position of trade union member versus contractor versus union leadership. Few people outside that experience know about or understand it.
When I was working, part of my job entailed hiring prime contractors for facilities construction and renovation projects. We had local electrical, mechanical, and architectural companies whose employees were all union members and other small companies whose workers were non-union.
Our facilities were located in clusters of buildings in different commercial parks, and on one very large owned site that we had owned since the early 1950s. The owned site was unionized – even our own hourly & weekly salaried employees were represented (IUE, IBEW, and SEA).
AFAIK, the prime contractors whose bids won our RFQ’s could supplement their staff from the Local hall if needed, but that was seldom done (I assume they had enough steady work to keep their full time workforce busy. As such, being a customer of those construction contracting companies, that process was largely invisible to me.
Thank you for your kind words.
Getting hired on “steady” with a well run contractor is a real plus for those so inclined and needing stability. I get bored easily and not inclined to stay in one place too long. People liking variety would travel even taking their families home schooling their children.
A project needing hundreds (thousands?) of hard hats such as a power plant would be tough for any contractor to fill and would then look to the local hiring hall.
Because of my trade I have seen a lot of amazing things in this country most will never know even exist..
Unfortunately divorce, bankrupts, and alcoholism are much too common in the building trades.
Sundance and Moderators, if my comments on page 1 were off topic as mentioned, I apologize. I will not continue that discussion.
He may be my only vote aside from a few hard working local politicians. Our Sheriff seems to have endorsed someone who has committed fraud for several years. He won’t be getting my vote, and I thought he was one of the good guys.
The darkness has descended into our community.
The darkness has always been in your community. You are just now noticing it.
Interesting that a Sheriff would endorse a political candidate. I’ve never seen that happen locally.
Kudos for being observant. I hope more locals are encouraged to. Our localities, even though far from the county seat, are key to survival of our freedoms. They are the last defense.
At one time, an endorsement from Sheriff Joe Arpio was a big deal, in Az.
So yeah, I have seen Sheriffs endorse pilitical candidates before.
Correction: Unions leveraged Barack Obama against Hillary Clinton. Not the other way around.
Obama was nothing more than a creation and tool for SEIU and ACORN. He was a feckless nobody, until he was anointed by SEIU as their designated hope and change agent to amass more public sector union power and tax dollar funded public sector compensation for themselves alone.
President Trump must blast this video EVERYWHERE!
Never forget: Cops shoot people with paintballs standing on their front porches during the lockdown curfew ordered by Governor Tim Walz in Minnesota in 2020
If he is voted/placed in, the next time it won’t be paintballs. A pox to all the useful idiots that snitched on their neighbors who just wanted some fresh air on their own front porches.
You should be ashamed of yourselves.
They should be ashamed, but they are pretending it never happened. The useful idiots, the governor (but I repeat myself) and the law enforcement that complied. When the authoritarian Left tells you who they are, believe them.
Timmy Paintballs Walz wants you to stay off his lawn and off your porch, too. What a nazi.
Thank you for posting this. This is infuriating and needs to be widely circulated.
I posted this on another site yesterday. Firing paintballs at people on their porches that don’t have protective devices on especially eye protection can end up putting an eye out. The police and NG troops that did this are not worthy of any respect.
The difficult thing for civilians, the typical peaceful, God-fearing, respectful civilian, is for them to view enforcers with a skeptical eye. That’s what got Justine Diamond killed in MSP (Minneapolis). She was an Aussie who trusted government and called for help and for her trouble a Somali cop killed her.
Expect the enforcers to follow their unified chain of command, like with the paintballs. Prepare accordingly and beware of smiling faces in uniforms.
ETA, the thin blue line is, as a work group/union, one of the most influencial and empowered in the Republic. Few others can legally kill us. Remember that.
Make it known, but remember: Walz isn’t running for President, and nobody is voting for him. Concentrate on Kalamity!
Never, never, never just use the term “unions” today without critical qualification.
—- There are private sector unions – who produce goods for the marketplace and bargain at arms length
—-There are public sector unions – who feed only off tax dollars, and game local election in their own favor
These are two totally different animal. The real money and power today is found in the growth of the public sector unions – the employees who suck only off your tax dollars and game elections so union interest sit on BOTH sides of the bargaining table.
Today there are 23 million government employees, the majority of thee public sector union members. Public sector unions lust after making that 100% government employee union dues paying memberships. And then turn around with enough elected representatives to bargain for eon more of your tax dollars for themselves. This is the primary bread and butter of the Democrat party today – YOUR TAX DOLLARS.
yep .. that public sector employees are simply the GOVT stealing votes
They are not REAL UNION people who care about each other. They are VULTURES
There are not 23 million federal employees.
You are lacking truthfulness..
Unions are not “workers’ organizations”, their primary business is money laundering and selling influence.
Their members also represent BALLOTS for hire.
Many of the “small grass routes” donations given to politicians are funneled through Union Members via pension and Union Operating Accounts.
Also, Unions are Strategically to impact national governing operations, communications and supply chain (economy) on demand.
I don’t say this with glee but with AI in its infancy and looming mass budget deficits, Union Members, specifically government workers, might be the next group to get their necks chopped. Some day, they will look at the Trump Presidency as ‘the good old days’. Milei’s Argentina is the model. One day very soon, whole swaths of our government services will just get cut without any attempts to reform or keep them going for the ‘unfortunate’ and affiliated organizations like the SEIU will vanish like a fart in the wind.
I was forced to join two unions to secure two jobs. I strongly resented having to pay dues to a union that only donated to democrats. When Oklahoma passed right to work I was able to resign from the union. It was my experience that the union spent most of our dues going to court for lazy people who seldom showed up for work and tried to game the medical system and medical retirements. While I was in unions both the company and the union were antagonistic towards me as a conservative.
I was a teacher in SoCal for 8 years. Mandatory membership in the local, state and national teachers union. Hated every second of it. Complete waste of money. Why do college educated people need representation to negotiate salary and benefits? Seems to me that Public Sector Unions are not needed….. especially for jobs requiring college degrees.
My dad is a lifelong IBEW member, now retired. Votes Trump.
I believe that if Labor and Management contract negotiations are not adversarial, then one or both are scratching the same backs.
Most of my customers were union but I ran a non-union shop. I noticed, working in that environment for decades, that the system attracted humans with a particular psychology geared to gaming the union system, similar to those who game the public assistance system and political system.
Remember the old saying about a few bad apples spoiling the bunch/barrel? If those bad apples get into positions of power and influence, watch out. They give hard working, honest union members a bad name.
It all comes down to humans and free will. They/we choose.
My dad is a retired Teamster and my brother is currently one. Neither of them ever vote D.
In 2020 the story went like this in western Pennsylvania:
Joe Biden bragged about support from the Boilermakers Union, only to be told that local union officials, in defiance of their union leadership, were endorsing Donald Trump.
Police and Sheriff Deputies, in attendance at Trump rallies, strongly supported the President on issues of law and order and against defunding the police.
Finally, in the closing days of the campaign, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, a newspaper that had not endorsed a Republican for President since Richard M Nixon in 1972, endorsed Donald J Trump.
None of this mattered in Pennsylvania!!
More than a million ballots would be added to Biden’s total in the three days that followed Election Day in 2020.
Once again, it’s not the votes that count, it’s the ballots.
Yes, it is the ballots and law enforcement is key to enforcing the law (whoa, that’s redundant!) so if the enforcers are so opposed to the takeover by the Communists or, more neutrally, for free and fair/lawful elections, why do they apparently not enforce the laws on the books, or enforce them selectively? That spectrum is much broader than ballots but we’ve especially seen lack of enforcement in election fraud.
I can only come to one conclusion, based on human free will. They choose what they enforce and/or to follow their unified chain of command without question.
if cops were not cleaned out during the last 8 years and left ‘similar to the FBI’ then there must be little job options out there.
I got a taste of the potential psychology from a high time high level rank and file state government employee in the 70’s. He was counting down the days to his pension and going along to get along. I watched daily the toll that took on him. I decided a different path for myself.
Humans are creatures of habit and, generally, once in that comfort zone, we don’t like it disturbed, hence your posit about job/career movement lines up pretty well with my annecdote. Dad showed me one path early on and I chose a different one and never became inurred to a paycheck and a pension.
My father was a union member Captain on the Suffolk County, Long Island, NY police department. He started out in the late 50s in a local police department that became part of the new Suffolk County PD so he was able to retire after 20 years on the force in the late 70s. He took advantage of the 20 year retirement option that gave him half pay and his medical insurance being paid for by Suffolk County. That was the deal. Serve 20 years and retire with half pay and your medical was paid for! He was in his mid forties and in excellent health. My dad knew from about 6 – 7 – 8 years out on any given day exactly how much time he had left to the day to retire. About the last 1/3 rd of his career, he worked less time than school teachers. When he retired he screwed my stepmother over by taking a retirement option that gave him more but totally stopped even if he died a day after retiring. He refused to help his children with college or buying or fixing a used car. The day you got out of high school, you were gone! I won a NYS Regents scholarship that should have paid my tuition and books but his income was so high that NYS topped my scholarship at $50 a semester. When I had an appeals hearing, I was told that I would have to pursue him in court for child support. Pursue a vicious cop in court that was many times the commanding officer in the precinct I lived in??? Yeah … right!

Changing Minds (with Maya Shankar and Frank Luntz)
In Fact with Chelsea Clinton
https://player.fm/series/in-fact-with-chelsea-clinton/changing-minds-with-maya-shankar-and-frank-luntz
I know most reading will seen the names Luntz and Clinton and focus on them. And yes, that pairing is the primary purpose of this share.
But don’t ignore the name Maya Shankar. She was Obama’s director of his first-ever formalized “Nudge Unit.” Created with Cass Sunstein to psychologically manipulate citizens to comply with government edicts and agendas. She’s been a feature of the Council on Foreign Relations on the subject of Nudge. She co-authored the UN’s Achieving Agenda 2030 with Behavioral Science (Nudge), (aligned with WEF’s Great Reset – how you’ll be happy owning nothing, eating bugs). And, Maya Shankar has been Google’s Chief Global Behavioral Scientist, designing the framework for Google’s AI programmers to design the algorithms that crawl and sort all internet traffic, ranking results to achieve a desired presentation of information that serves the agendas of the Deep State/International Cabal.
That’s who Luntz is with on this podcast with Chelsea Clinton. This is who Frank Luntz is, his circle, his fellow travelers. He shares their vision of the future, not ours.
You think that is news to us?
Oh. So you’ve heard of Maya Shankar? Familiar with her work?
Luntz’s tenor and tone describing union situation seems remarkably similar to demeanor one would expect from doctor giving prognosis update to family of “doomed patient” ….. “It’s not looking good. “
Only in America can a bald toupee wearing “modestly annoying” man make a substantial living being a “pollster and communication strategist”! Only in America! Frank better hope President Trump wins or he will be given the we don’t need you anymore Joe Biden treatment by the Democrats and state run media! If the country becomes one party like Venezuela there is no need for independent pollsters interviewing two party voters! JMO
Will Rogers never met Frank Luntz. ~ 😉

They know.
Everyone knows.
The more the gaslighting, democrat hack-tivists posing as “journalists” continue to try and pretend, the sillier and more goofy they look.
As a kid, I remember reading that if Republicans got more than 18%(?) of the black vote the election was over. I understand the demographics have changed in forty years, but Trump has substantial Black, Hispanic, Union and Jewish voters. I guess he needs to work on the illegal alien vote to ensure his win.
More black males than females perhaps, or maybe its just that the black females that like Harris are disproportionarely loud, and so seem bigger than they are.
Heard the same thing, and He definetely has more.
Really, what PDJT is doing with Union workers, is no different than what he isdoing with ALL of the various demographics that have come to be thought of as “Democrat Demographics”.
Whether its Unions, or Hispanics (with La Raza, etc.) or Blacks with Sharpton, a small but veryvocal group of leftists put themselves up as “Speaking for” their group, with Unions its more,…formal but its the same idea.
And in all these cases, Unions, Blacks, Hispanics, youth, women, etc. they SPEAK, as it talk the talk, but have consistently never delivered anything, EXCEPT to the small noisy group.
A1st, MAGA cuts through the bullshit, bypasses these self appointed “leaders” and speaks common sense that appeals to all,..but the fat cats who get nothing.
Pained looks and forced unhappy smiles are all over CNN these days. Despite their desperate efforts to push the Kamala / Walz momentum story they know it isn’t happening.
Trump has the momentum. Swapping out the dotard for a generic Democrat helped a little, but she still owns the incumbent administration’s record of failure.
Elon Musk allowing free speech on Twitter is once again allowing We The People to bypass the MSM. The truth is getting out.
Let’s pray that reality finally overcomes illegality.
Auto Workers For Trump is actually a thing here in Michigan, a BIG thing. I’m told way more than half the plant workers support MAGA.
A big thing? Is it YUUGE?!

The most annoying pundit/pollster on earth.
@TCTH Family:
Small business owner AND Union Member since early 1990’s here.
I can tell you our union membership is between 40 to 50% America First MAGA – at a minimum.
We do not support communism, socialism, marxism or other form of totalitarian government.
The vast majority of the brothers and sisters in a different trade union with whom I work are 80 – 90% America First MAGA.
We The People are going to DEMOLISH THE DEEP STATE IN 2024.
No one I talk to at work believes any of the BS false narratives any more.
It was not like this 10 years ago.
WE WILL WIN.
Bigger support than 2020?
Businessman Donald J, Trump speaks to CONgress about the renovations of the UN HQ & other buildings. Offers his time and expertise for free to save the American taxpayers mucho $$$. This is a man who understands the trades and building.

United Nations Headquarters Renovation
21 Jul 2005
https://www.c-span.org/video/?187762-1/united-nations-headquarters-renovation
Witnesses testified about proposed renovations to the United Nations headquarters in New York, funding requests for the project, and estimated development costs for similar projects in New York.
Following the hearing members and developers briefly answered questions from reporters about estimated costs of the development project.
Frank isn’t telling us anything we didn’t already know foryears….These people are so out of date. Just dinosaurs in their own profession. They probably haven’t even connected the dots that PDJT’s two live streams in 10 days with over 1 B+ views is the final nail in cable news. They are just clinging on.
Hasn’t the Teamster’s Union endorsed PRESIDENT TRUMP? The “leadership” of the UAW has already said that they expect the union members to vote for PRESIDENT TRUMP even though the union has endorsed scamala. Didn’t Stellantis just lay off over 4,000 employees? The union members are smart enough to understand how their living standard has been damaged during the last 3 years, with joe and kamela in office.
I remember, living in Califzuela in the 90’s, being absolutely stunned that Union Leaders were pro-illegal immigration, which was an in-your-face middle-finger to the rank-and-file Union Membership.
That sweet, sweet Cartel money (and cheaper wages) apparently goes a long, long way …
We need to cut government employees and lower the taxes simultaneously so that the economy can sustain it. That is important.
Skilled Craftsmen are intelligent, well paid and not easily bamboozled. Our local supports Trump.
I was (30 years now retired) and I still am a dues paying member (I get a new calendar each year. $43/monthly) of Chicago Firefighters union Local 2. The union has NEVER spoken for me OR MANY like me. Many, many are Trump supporters.
In a rare moment of truth…Kevin’s Bestie Scores with TRUTH!
