UPDATE: Authorities identified a suspect Wednesday in the break-in at a Donald Trump campaign office in suburban Virginia. Toby Shane Kessler, 39, is suspected of breaking into the office on Sunday evening, the Loudoun County Sherriff’s Office said. Kessler, who has a criminal record and no known address, was not in custody, the office said in a statement. (link)
On Sunday August 11, 2024, at approximately 9:00pm authorities were alerted to a break-in at the Trump 2024 campaign headquarters in Ashburn, VA.
The sheriff’s office is now releasing images from the security camera as they attempt to identify the individual. The white male, late 40’s, wearing a baseball cap, dark grey hoodie, grey pants and a reverse mounted backpack is pictured below. Based entirely on the appearance of the individual and the manner of which he is carrying his kit, this guy looks like a fed.

Loudoun County, VA (August 12, 2024): The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) is seeking a suspect in connection with a burglary at the Trump for President 2024 campaign office in Ashburn, VA, on August 11, 2024. The office, in the 20000 block of Ashbrook Place, is being leased by the Trump campaign and also serves as the headquarters of the Virginia 10th District Republican Committee.
LCSO was contacted about the burglary yesterday at approximately 9:00 pm and deputies responded. The investigation is ongoing, and the LCSO has video surveillance of the suspect. He is a white adult male, wearing dark clothing, a dark cap, and a backpack when he entered the location.
“It is rare to have the office of any political campaign or party broken into,” said Sheriff Mike Chapman. “We are determined to identify the suspect, investigate why it happened, and determine what may have been taken as well as what may have been left behind.”

My Mom would get so mad when she would see some snippet of news like that . . . she would walk to the end of our long driveway every morning to get the “Los Angeles Times” . . . would start reading it as she walked . . . by the time she got into the breakfast room, she had part of it folded up, rolled up like she would have it when our new poodle first pee-peed in the wrong place (“I don’t actually hit him with it, Honeys – it’s the sound of the paper cracking that gets him to remember”).
She did this more than once, it seemed to me, cracking it across the edge of the iron and glass table, making her coffee cub rattle in the saucer, “oh, that Dick Nixon, why does he consort with that guy, Rezobo? That’s not going to do him any good. He will just get him into trouble.” This was during the Interregnum.
Whether Trump wins or loses, they will never leave him alone again. I wonder if he regrets running for office. It’s not in his constitution or DNA to quit so he will see this to the end no matter what the cost to himself.
If not President Trump, then who?
He demurred for decades to take up the fight, waiting for someone who loves this country and her people as much as he does to do it. And when he realized there was no one?

He has sunglasses on his hat and in the picture on the right you see the reflection of some light off the glasses; while there’s no reflection off the glasses in the other two pics. If you look closely, you can see the glasses in the middle pic, but there’s probably no overhead lighting, so no reflection.
Most likely sunlight (the best disinfectant) giving a blurred reflection off the top.

My problem reacting to the assertion “this guy looks like a fed” is that I don’t really know what a fed looks like.

They run the gamut and look like anyone else. I was one for 26 years. Retired because of Biden. At least 90% of my coworkers were MAGA and Trump supporters. But that’s changing a little, especially with DEI. Yet, in the agency I was with, many of the DEI hires transformed into hardcore conservatives and MAGA, or at least are/were talking major shee-ite about liberal Dems after around 5 years on the job. In the agency I was in, we actually did our job, unless interfered with and obstructed by the SES’s and political appointees. I was just a GS-13, wasn’t FBI, and was never near Washington DC. There’s actually lots of retired and current federal agents on here that are loyal Americans and totally oppose people like Chris Wray (never an agent, political appointee) and Stryzk and McCabe, Comey, et al. No one despises them more than the rank and file good guys. I would also point out all the federal agents turned whistleblowers there have been in the last 8 years. I do understand the anger toward “Feds” on here. There’s definitely thousands and thousands of corrupt, misguided ones in the FBI and intel agencies.

The tech is there. It depends on the orders from the chain of command, even for a Sheriff. We see Sheriffs cooperating with the Feds all the time. It’s usual and customary. And don’t drive anything “late model” either because they ALL have mobile communications devices whether you want it or not — Ford tried to pressure me into BUYING mobile hotspot data services (so they don’t have to pay for it themselves) but I refused. Later they showed me that I could remotely start my engine from “anywhere in the world.” That’s only possible with a mobile phone device installed.

Oh, wow. I replied to the comment about the large left hand from grumpy grandpa on page 3. (I deleted it, no one else has made any comments about it being AI.) The 3rd picture looks as if it is AI generated to me. AI can’t do hands or fingers very well & that’s a very weird left hand, too large and the fingers/thumb are weirdly placed. His left hand doesn’t look natural. Plus, what’s going on with his left ear (huge? Or really bright sunlight) and right hand (small and held funny)?
In the 1st picture, the shadow is coming from the left and in the 3rd it’s coming from the right. Reference the same pinky-orange column/door opening.
I just looked at the pictures again. I missed his hands in picture #1. He has no left hand & his left arm is positioned weirdly. His right hand is stumpy & no fingers.
