A friends daughter married a really nice man he is Hindu. Their wedding was beautiful, first in our Orthodox Cathedral, then at the Temple. The mother explained to me that their Religion is similar to ours, that I have no idea about. In our Church the men stand to one side, the women to the other, she said they did the same in Temple. To be honest, I have only been to an Orthodox Church. The wedding was absolutely stunning.

It’s funny how two people can read the same peace yet draw different conclusions from it. I read that op-Ed as well. I got the sense J.D. Vance thought Trump’s methods would not work. He thought his solutions were too simplistic to be effective.
Oddly, I found this op-Ed to be effective. In my opinion, criticisms of this type make Vance’s “conversion” more plausible: he simply began to realize that Trump’s simplistic solutions were resolving the issues.
Obviously, I don’t know if I am right or not. I just find it interesting that you and I drew completely different conclusions from the same piece.

I’m trying to keep an open mind about JD Vance. I have been skeptical of his embrace of Trump after being a Never Trump and worried it might have been a cynical calculation to avoid becoming irrelevant once it looked like Trump wasn’t going anywhere and would be the nominee.
I think he is being sincere when he says that he was happy to be wrong about Trump. He didn’t take Trump as a serious person. He has the same economic nationalism ideas as Trump and his choice of VP is being seen as Trump’s move to make permanent his MAGA economic agenda after him to prevent a return to the global and corporate GOPe of Mitch McConnell and the establishment. I hope this is all true.
His extraordinarily humble beginnings of a childhood defined by poverty in Appalachia and a hallowed out, deindustrialized Midwest raised by a single mom who struggled with heroin addiction to the Marine Corps to Yale Law School are the embodiment of the American dream and rugged individualism of the American ethos.

I suggest you consider that Melania wanted to be by President Trump’s side yesterday, but was told not to appear because should tragedy occur to both she and President Trump at the event, Baron may lose both his parents.
