I agree with you Cornbread. I have a daughter (18 going on 15) who is itching to join military, law enforcement, border patrol… (anything) to fight back. She’s HOT and feeling helpless. We all are. Our “go to” is to God – for this is a Spiritual Battle and God Will equip the called, He doesn’t call the equipped. Our best weapon is HONESTY and standing for that Principle of Truth – God’s Truth – is number one. It’s getting “real”.

We’re all virtually holding hands to comfort one another. The firehose of data that flows out of the lucid commenters is one of the reasons we come here. The other is to share our emotions with people who will understand us and care about us. That’s, to me, why there’s so much passion to be part of this site. Trump has been my compass since I first heard him speak of his beliefs. I came here originally to be among people who shared my feelings. Tonight I can see why that was a good idea.

Trump wrote the script with the strength of his character. That character is what draws me to him. I see in him the patriot in the mold of those who had the courage to create this country out of a land that was used to enrich the people “back home” rather than the people who toiled in the fields and shops and those who fought to protect their fellow new countrymen. I see in him the man who can be rich and yet still work alongside the construction workers who built his buildings and know what it’s like to be poor and to need help that he anonymously gives. We all talk about what the country needs. He, like those patriots of old, walked out of his comfortable world and put his life and his fortune at risk. But not his own sacred honor. There are pictures coming out of this night that will be hung on walls.
We didn’t live in the times of the Washingtons and the Madisons and the Adams, but we can proudly say that we have lived in the Time of Trump.

Actually, Mary my nickname derives from a ,….job title.
In door shops, a specialised area if finish carpentry, where they make wooden doors, there is a man called “the Dutchman”.
He makes “Dutch doors” and installs “Speakeasies” and other modifications to “stock” doors, but his main job is to repair the doors that get damaged in the shop, and he does that in such a way that you can not tell the door has been repaired.That way the door can be sold at full price, rather than discounted as damaged.
No doubt originally, some immigrant from the Netherlands or quite likely Germany, that his fellow workers called “Dutchman” had the job, and when he retired and his apprentice took over, they were so used to saying “take it to the dutchman” that they just passed on the name to the apprentice.
Anyway, I was a Jack of all trades, Master of some, and one of those I mastered was “Dutchman” and I worked for a # of door shops over the years, performing magic, lol.
As for my heritage, certainly some western european, perhaps Scotch or Irish? Dunno, really.

When I designed our library, I also finished every board in the room, inventing some procedures as I worked to be able to buy strangely colored poplar boards and keep the grains and not let the boards kleenex the stain. I’ve moved cherry thru the sun for a week to get natural darkening and learned the ins and outs of walnut. Working with wood would be SUCH a glorious profession. I think we are here for more than ‘just the ride’. We all have a role to play in this, that’s why we are here in this moment, put here right now for some reason to be part of this history, and God is revealing it as we go along. Stand strong in your faith and love for the Lord.
Not sure why, but the thought suddenly occurs to me that the ghouls in the media are going to start covering future Trump rallies. Is this a good thing or a bad? Probably good. Might expose a different audience to Trump’s rational words. Hard to imagine even the hard core leftists being able to avoid the occasional raindrops of reason falling onto their faces. They might try to use their umbrellas of ignorance but they can’t stick both their hands in their ears at once when one hand is needed to hold up the protection. And while they’re wiggling around trying to avoid the ideas coming down hard and fast, it should be a bit difficult to avoid getting just a little wet in such solid, good and logical ideas.
This is the best article I’ve read to date that talks about feelings and the impact of yesterday’s assassination attempt. The writer is clear, logical, and expresses what so many of us were feeling. The only way in which I disagree with him is that he believes Trump could quit and the attacks on him would stop. I don’t. Those who have attacked him to date have cartooned him as the carrier of a philosophy whose acceptance could mean the rejection of all the enemy believes is their destiny to force upon this country.
To make sure that another such Hero doesn’t rise up, he and his supporters have to be destroyed – whether they’re standing in front of the capitol gazing up at the monuments or standing at a podium to spread the word of how this country could be made a safer and more prosperous place. THEY HAVE TO BE DESTROYED. If he retired, it wouldn’t be into safety. He still exists as a threat so retirement is NOT safety. Which means that the best safety for President Trump, in my humble opinion, is to keep moving forward and let the millions of supporter voices rise up to protect the voting system that has always been under attack from those of mean character. He CAN’T quit, and WE are his protection.

Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.) declared Trump “is not only unfit, he is destructive to our democracy and he has to be eliminated.” He later apologized.

A Mexican man accused of stabbing three people, including two children who died of their injuries, is in the U.S. illegally, federal authorities confirmed to Fox News Digital on Friday.
Victor Manuel Gomez-Acosta, a Mexican illegal immigrant, was charged with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide, attempted first-degree homicide and operating under the influence after being arrested in Abbotsford, Wisconsin.
The Colby-Abbotsford Police Department said that two children were found dead at the scene with stab wounds, while an adult woman was also stabbed but was given medical care. Gomez-Acosta was found inside the residence and was apprehended. He was later transported to a medical center after police found self-inflicted stab wounds.
According to WQOW, the victims are Gomez-Acosta’s wife and daughters. The outlet, citing the criminal complaint, reported that the children were found in one of their bedrooms. One had been stabbed 16 times and the other 20 times. His wife was reportedly stabbed approximately 17 times, with one of the wounds cutting her vocal cords.

My nephew was injured at the Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Thankfully his injury was not serious and he is doing well. My family was sitting in the front, near where the President was speaking. They heard shots ringing out — my nephew then realized he had blood on his neck and something had grazed and cut his neck. He was treated by the providers in the medical tent. Thank you to all those that have reached out to check on him.

My wife was watching EVEREST and it’s a great movie but the ending is brutal almost as bad as NONE BUT THE BRAVE. I remembered that President Trump was having a rally in Pennsylvania and decided to watch it here on CTH.
About five minutes into the rally with President Trump pointing at a chart of illegal immigrants apprehended…the shots rang out, people screamed and President Trump dropped down.
I couldn’t believe what I just witnessed!
I was getting ready to settle in for the rally report….got up to let the dog out…came back to a suit on rsbn….and no more rally…I had to play catch up….
