We’ve got one kitty who needs extra care, attention, and food. Try as I might (coughing, throat clearing) to mask the sound – the moment I begin to open the can – the onslaught is on.
I have a little kitten on meds needing special food. I go into the bathroom, close the door and flush the toilet. The sound of the toilet flushing covers the sound of the pop top coming off.

I’m almost embarrassed (not really!) that we have 9 house kitties and something around 15 feral “barn kitties.” We trap, neuter, and release those back to our property where we feed and care for them. In the past 2 weeks we’ve noticed 3 “new” kitties. Time to get out the traps. 🙀
Good evening, ladies and gents.
Corny – we had a kind matron post on Nextdoor that she was “gifted” a barn cat who was pregnant with littles. Since our attempt at adopting a puppy was not successful, and life has since decided to deal us much less “leisure” time, we opted to go out and pay her a visit today.
I was 40/60 not in favor of adopting anyone, but wanted to give her a small gift for her efforts and visit her clowder. Well, as I am not gifted with any level of restraint – two littles have adopted us… retaining their given names of Millie and Maggie. They are 10 weeks and ALL of the family was delightful and our hearts were heavy grieving that we wanted them all and that none should be separated.
The elder gents in the house are not impressed… at all… and are not taking it as kindly as they did the puppy. They have righteous indignation.
Pictures later – we are “adjusting”. We had room on the life raft for one – but couldn’t help adopting in pairs, which we always do.
The matron we adopted from will become a good friend to us. She lives with her cousin and these beautiful elder women are the cat’s meow. When “Honey” found her forever home, she knew that it was in Karen’s barn that she would find solace and joy. The peanuts are all just adorable and Karen has already named them all and can’t bear to part with them.
Her son was visiting from New York and he was sleeping in a tent on their expansive farm property when we arrived. Two huge stock ponds, gorgeous home, rustic barn, gorgeous gated fenced off expansive garden, and I teased Karen that we would all come out to live with her. Honey knew.
One of the kittens was the spitting image of our Dan-O-Man and he, a gorgeous regal, Russian Blue was chosen by Karen to retain… his name was Shaun. Shaun sat in both of our laps and claimed our hearts. He was a terrible trigger for me and brought tears to our eyes missing our Danny. I bet Karen trained him to do that.
Of for the day where we have room for our service to these precious furry friends. For now, Timmy-Two-Toes, Maggie the Brave, Harry Houdini, and Millie Moo are in our care.

The miracle of human heart transplants is dependent on the skill of the surgeons and also on the body of the recipient to receive the transplanted organ. In God’s transplants, 100 percent of the power is His; the beneficiary simply receives the new heart and becomes obedient to walk in His ways.
A pure synergism exists as God’s enabling power is combined with human response. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17). Have you received a heart transplant from the Master Surgeon? Are you walking in His ways?
Pray for America’s medical professionals who do transplant work. Pray also for the families of organ donors as they consider difficult decisions.

That place is about 25 minutes from my house……
I can remember as little kids taking a bath outside in a round metal tub. My sister and I thought it was a lot of fun, we could splash the water all over the place and didn’t get in trouble for making a mess.

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Update.
Just when my health issues occurred, my cell phone decided to gradually quit on me.
So, finally got new one up and working, and will now have to learn how to use it.
In the health front, I have a tracheotomy (tube in my throat) and stomach feeding tube, as well
Hoping to get a meeting with an Oncologist next week, to set up and begin treatments.
The prognosis is good, the biopsy showed only a small # of cancer cells, and a thorough search couldn’t find any evidence of it spreading.
Am trying “wholeistic” things on my own, rather than just waiting for the🙃Drs, so fingers crossed.
