I’ve been thinking about this, Stevie, and it’s true.
Finley was/is a great man of God, and storehouse of wisdom.
My belief is that our nation is under God’s judgment – and rightly so.
We have turned from Him, each to our own way.
All of us sin and need to repent when we do.
Not just saying “I’m sorry,” but turning away from it.
We can’t play footsies with a holy God and expect Him to ignore our rebellion.
We tend to categorize sin: small ones, not-so-bad ones, everybody’s-doing-it ones, etc.
We point our fingers at all the evil around us, but refuse to look within our own hearts.
That’s where revival begins.
Repentance begins with humbling yourself under God’s mighty hand.
Asking Him to remove the board from own eyes, before we try to get speck out of others.
Jesus says whoever is without sin – let him cast the first stone.
God says that He searches our hearts, and examines our mind.
He knows everything: our motives, our wrong thoughts, criticism of others, unkind words, slander – He sees it all.
If we ask Him to start with us – “personally” – and show us where we are wrong and lead us His way, things will begin change.
But not until we have a “broken and contrite spirit,” says the Lord.
In the meantime, our nation crumbles.
But God, in His mercy, is more concerned about our eternal souls.
And He will use anything to get our attention.
He has mine. And I ask Him – today – show me Lord, the error of my ways.
Help me, and all of us, to live Godly lives that please You, and to be in sync with Your purposes as expressed in Scripture.
I know my comment will be unpopular – but’s that’s okay.
I live for an Audience of One, the Lord Jesus Christ.
And, I do pray that people all across this land will hear God’s voice and not harden their hearts any longer.

A perfect example ~ so important that the New Testament apostles Matthew and Luke spoke of Jonah and how the Ninevites responded to the message from God…with sackcloth and ashes to show their sincerity to God…and that they would stand in judgment with this generation…and condemn it for they repented at the preaching of Jonah…
Jonah 3:5-10
And the Ninevites believed God. They proclaimed a fast and dressed in sackcloth from the greatest to the least. When word reached the king of Nineveh, he got up off his throne, took off his royal robe, covered himself in sackcloth and sat in ashes..
Then he issued a proclamation:
“By the decree of the king and his nobles:
Let no man or beast, herd or flock, taste anything at all. They must not eat or drink. Furthermore, let both man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and have everyone call out earnestly to God. Let each one turn from his evil ways and from the violence in his hands. Who knows? God may turn and relent; He may turn from His fierce anger, so that we will not perish.”
When God saw their actions—that they had turned from their evil ways—He relented from the disaster He had threatened to bring upon them.

Trusting God with all my heart is a daily struggle.
It takes discipline and practice, and is not easy.
But it’s entirely possible – only with the Holy Spirit’s Help.
Some days I trust the Lord for my eternal salvation, yet wobbly with Him handling the day-by-day details.
This should not be!
I’m certain this falls in the category the apostle Paul described: I have fought the good fight of faith.
Every generation has had its tribulations/turmoil since the Garden of Eden.
It’s so important to recognize God’s blessings each new day.
Otherwise, they will pass us by – while the worries consume our peace.
Besides, we are not promised tomorrow … but, we still have today!

Reading history, the powers of the world even back in Moses’ day, Noah’s day, Jeremiah’s day, the apostles, Paul, etc. ~ were evil to the core. How evil is it that Herod killed baby boys under the year old of two!!! (As Solomon said: Nothing is new under the sun!) And in this truth, I’ve started the daily practice of just thanking my Heavenly Father for every single thing I become aware of throughout my day…it is breathtaking to understand this principle! Our freedom is located in another world!

Our thoughts create, heaven or hell. He cannot live in heaven. And he would never want to live in heaven his place is his own desire absent from God. God lives in our praises. That means his being is present in our thoughts of gratitude. Can you see the power in that? If people ever caught on it would produce the “heaven on earth” we pursue.
The influence of evil is so thick right now, the constant barrage of incoming attacks keep the mind confused to allow the movement we now see. The religious rituals many ignore were in place to confine thoughts.
All is not lost, we cannot lose with God. This is just training to build an army for God. God is a God of adversity. I read the ending.

Good grief! There’s so much wrong with this it’s pathetic. The idea that we must “work” to get salvation or to get heavenly rewards is ludicrous. After all, that supposed crown that he thinks we’ll be wearing is PAVEMENT in heaven. The reward is JESUS–everything else is dung.
And the call to “take up your cross and follow” Christ happened ONCE at salvation. Think about it: Where was Christ going when he carried His cross? To Golgotha to be crucified. Every believer has been crucified with Him–at the moment of salvation (see Romans 6).
If you’re a believer, don’t worry about “taking up your cross” or “earning” your Mr. T starter set! It’s not about you and your dedicated, committed, “righteous” acts for God (our righteous acts are toilet paper to Him).
It’s about Jesus–from start to finish!

In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute justified by her actions when she welcomed the spies and sent them off on another route? As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
There was nothing in my post about ‘working’ for our salvation/crown. Taking up the cross of Jesus does begin with our submission to accept the salvation of our soul but we must carry the cross all through our time here on earth…just as He did. Carrying the cross of Jesus is a journey from our earthly life until we met Him again in the heavenly life…as Paul teaches us, work our our salvation with fear and trembling. It is a matter of dying to our human nature and letting Christ’s nature begin to manifest itself in the here and now. I do not believe that once we are ‘saved’ that we can forget about any type of instruction on how to walk the walk as Jesus set before us as an example.
Which brings me to what the Bible says about works…
James specifically said that faith WITHOUT works is dead. We prayerfully ‘work’ on a daily basis that our lives would represent Jesus our Lord and Savior. Human nature and temptation will continually circumvent any improvement and we should endeavor to ‘work’ to make sure that we keep our eyes upon our Lord and depend upon Him to direct our path.
I agree totally that we cannot work our way into heaven…that is so true. And there are examples of people out there working in the ministry that are not Christians as we know the definition of a true child of Christ and that is sad…because all their works are for naught.
I hope this answer is what you needed to understand my post.

Hmmm, I think folks are sometimes mistaken for thinking that “works” need great sacrifice (cross bearing) accompanied by great deeds/accomplishments, and for sure there are many righteous people who have achieved such. However great “works” are often performed in the seemingly simple things of life. For example, merely giving up your seat for an elder, or a pleasant “good morning”, or maybe a surprise breakfast in bed for the other half often extends far beyond the initial intent. That “good morning” may just “save” a person from despair – one can never know just how far your kindness (works) will reach. Think of rising dominoes – you may well be the source “work”. If one can find the rewards in the acts themselves with no “anticipation” , one is already in a sense “a crown wearer”. Think – who is greater – a “holy” man detached on a mountain peak, or the simple man who saves his brother?
Stevie, I’m eagerly awaiting the one crown described in below verse!
And, so are many others who are longing for Christ.
It’s so sweet of the Lord to tell us this – that He will personally give it to us.
Not an angel, or those gone before us.
But the Lord Jesus Himself.

I’ve lost accounts in the past for challenging the narrative about covid, vaccines etc. I always included sources, studies or reports to back up my position. But most of my activity online these days has been in support of current concerns: Constitutional freedom, political truth etc, by retweeting Sundance, Julie Kelly and others. No suspensions for a couple of years.
Yesterday I responded to a tweet from Thomas Massie who said he was going after the Biden admin for covid vax mandates. What vax mandates you might ask? He’s referring to people applying for residency or citizenship. So I asked him- what about covid vax/booster mandates still being imposed on healthcare workers at some of the largest healthcare networks in the nation? Mandates on elective surgery patients? What about Physician groups that coerce patients to take the vax to remain under care?
So here I am today, suspended from twitter once again probably because I dared speak ill of the medical profession and big healthcare. And people wonder why nurses are anonymous on twitter.
I thought “X” was now absent censorship?
Musk has said that but that is not what is happening. People are being suspended for BS and they’er shadow banning certain influential climate change types and cutting the number of followers. Still too many leftist moderators it seems.

As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

My children, they wanted global loss of faith in Me, where not only the world turned on Me, but My entire Body would as well. They want people worldwide in a state of hopelessness and despair so they can easily manoeuvre more of a takeover worldwide. They want society to fully collapse. That’s why you see with the identity crisis they have created where people are confused with what gender, race and sexuality. They are confused even if they’re human or if they’re animal and what and who they are in every way but also confused into what to believe with anything. A state of great confusion and weakness so they can take over more easily with less of a battle or uprising. They want a population that would submit to anything the ruling class decides, a people without their own way of thinking so govts can control even people’s minds. It’s easier to persuade a person if they are confused. They have torn families and that foundation apart. A strength and the power of a husband and wife praying and raising their children to pray. A strong foundation of a family structure and it looks like it’s totally decimated by sexual immorality, drunkenness, selfishness, confusion and pride and as you know all too well pride comes before a fall.
They have destroyed the power of knowing My Words in most churches, your enemies knowing that it would weaken a person’s faith in Me, not knowing My Word fully, would make a person more vulnerable for attack from the satanic occult and their believers.
