Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” – I John 3:16-18
Interesting Bible Study of mine tonight:
So I start by doing a search for the word ‘pride’ at blueletterbible.org .
Which brings the results: “pride” occurs 49 times in 46 verses in the KJV.
Scanning thru the verses I picked 1 John 2:16 and opened the chapter, scanned through and found:
Do Not Love the World
1John 2:15-24
¶ Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
¶ Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
¶ But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
¶ Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
¶ Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
Checked on the Matthew Henry :: Commentary on 1 John 2 and read through the whole commentary.
Now onto a more depth, I went back to the results of my pride search and gathered all the Strong’s Concordance from these verses and read through all the definitions:
H1344,H1346,H1347,H1348,H1363,H1466,H1467,H2087,H2103,H7407,H7830,G212,G5187,G5243,G5316,G5457,G5346
Lo and behold this one stood out above all others to end my study:
G212
feminine noun(from G213-From ale (vagrancy); braggart:—boaster.)
I.empty, braggart talk
II.an insolent and empty assurance, which trusts in its own power and resources and shamefully despises and violates divine laws and human rights
III.an impious and empty presumption which trusts in the stability of earthly things
1John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride(G212) of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
I tried to shorten my notes as much as possible 😛
Blessed morning, dogsmaw!
Thank you for sharing the fruits of your study. Working on one this morning, too, but it’s still underway. Within it, was the term “bloodguilt” which I am researching further. The third descriptor of bloodguilt is “failing to preach the good news of the Kingdom, thereby withholding the lifesaving information it contains.”
I love it when we all share our nuggets of Truth we find as we seek a deeper relationship with God through His Word.
This does feel like a small town church gathering where each brings his or her gifts and leaves them at the altar of God and blesses each other by our presence. Blessed be your morning, faithful friend!

Children
My three favorite nostalgic sounds of summer include the sounds of kids laughing and playing, the sound of rainbird sprinklers and the sound of a low flying prop airplane towing a banner.
Patty, such lovely memories!
Then, my mind wandered to several:
# Always, always – sounds of kids playing and laughing – every season!
# Sound of tinkling bell on ice cream truck in neighborhood.
# Sound of rumbling, slow-moving train at night while sleeping with screen window open. (It was SO hot!)
Hope you’re having better days, Patty.
🙏🏻🥰
Good morning, Della! ❤️
Morning, Woo!
🥰
🥰
How could I forget the sound of the ice cream truck?!
I just this morning finished my last pill to kill the C Diff so tonight I start with the probiotics to hopefully replace the bad bacteria with good bacteria. Am hopeful the end of this episode is near.
Patty, I pray that God will supply all of your needs in days ahead.
Including strength, healing, and peace.
Please hang onto Hope!
Thank you, Della.
Good morning, Patty,
How are you feeling? It’s good to see you friend!
I just finished taking my last pill to kill the C Diff. Tonight I begin the probiotics. Time will tell.
I was looking at the paperwork that came with the prescription yesterday. I was SHOCKED to see the cost for the 10 days of pills was $5976.96!!! That’s 298.85 per pill!
I don’t usually speak well of Walmart but I have to give their pharmacist credit. The insurance co refused to cover the cost of the meds that were first prescribed (but I couldn’t take because they are very damaging to kidneys). He spent 3 days calling the insurance co and the prescribing dr to get approval for the drug I took.
I got the super beets and have been using it for several days now. My next appt with the kidney dr is early August. I’m looking forward to seeing the results from the tests.
I am very thankful you took to time and effort to share your knowledge with me, JWoo. I pray God blesses you and Savannah in all you do.
Oh my word, Patty. That Rx is enough to give anyone a heart attack! Bravo to the Pharmacist for working so hard for you and prayerfully your cost was minute in comparison.
Hope the broth thing is going well and inspiring you towards more lofty things like smoothies and pureed goodies… and that the nutrition is giving you some much needed energy.
I’m really looking into the smoothies. Never have had one. It’s much easier to drink things than to eat when one is not particularly hungry. Next month my peaches will be ready so I think some peach smoothies are definitely on the horizon.
Usually I make peach preserves and peach pie filling (which I freeze). This year I will add in peach smoothies. Today is 107 and a smoothie would be quite refreshing!
I am no smoothie queen, but they were my quick morning insurance; as by the time I remembered to eat it was about 1:00. Ugh!
Blended fruit and veggies was my thing.
I liked them thick and creamy.
I basically downed two tall glasses within 10 minutes. lol.
https://www.eatingwell.com/article/7832841/smoothie-formula/
I used to do the prep
(wash, peel, cut)
apples, peaches, mango, oranges, carrots, pineapple, etc
pull strings off celery, etc
cut to fit in my mini blender
once a week
and store in bags or containers in fridge or freezer.
1/2 a banana or avocado and some good plain yogurt was the creamer
I always used some fresh spinach.
Sometimes tossed in a date or two.
Or some good honey.
Wash and give a few stabs to a sweet potato, wrap in a wet paper towel and microwave a minute or two
and refrigerate; cut it up as needed.
Small amount of Langers of juicy juice for liquid (no corn syrup)
The experimenting was what also kept me interested -ha!
Good Sunday, patty.
I could use a little of that right now, Patience. My patio flowers are battered and wilting despite watering twice a day! That bucket and garden hose looks real good about now. When I was a kid and playing at my friend’s house, we would sit inside igloo coolers filled with cold water with our feet dangling out. I bet my daughter could go for her slippy slide right about now, even at the age of eighteen!
I loved running through the oscillating sprinklers in the summer. Just enough water to cool you off without getting sopping wet.
In the summer when folks would water their lawns and the runoff would fill the gutters we would save our popsicle sticks and make little boats out of them. Then we would go to where the runoff started up the street, put all our ‘boats’ in and have boat races down the street. Such fun.
Yeah to sprinkler sports. 🥳
How clever; popsicle stick boats and discovering the water way❣️❣️❣️
being boys, we made popsicle stick hand grenades
you weave 5 of them together in such a way that it’s spring-loaded
then you throw it and when it lands or hits something it “explodes” – flies apart and the sticks scatter in the air
That’s pretty cool, Nim!
The ingenuity of -collaborating young minds it quite incredible!
Sticks
Rocks
String
Rubber bands & Bobby pins😱
Cans
Jars
Bottles & caps
Magnifying glass or mirror
Screws, bolts, nails
Matches
Paper
(Learned a lot with four bros) -yeehaw!
And collecting iron out of the dirt with magnets. We all had our little jars of iron.
The ants could be awful. We would carefully pour gasoline down the ant holes, let it soak in a bit and then light them on fire. A little blow torch.
I’ve heard many tales from my hubs childhood and he gathered that pig iron.
The t.v. repair man gave him magnets and he got small bottle from the pharmacist to keep it in.
Kids back in our day had to scrap for toys and make things work.
Way more fun than junk sold today!
Yeah, kids really miss out today on what’s really fun. So sad.
Oh my…, yes… forgot the magnets. 😄
Ants?
-Gasoline and blow torch??? 🤔 lol 😂⚠️😂
We magnified them under the sun. Quite the (ahem) experiment. poof…singe
Watching mercury crawl or drop it to splat and become many tiny balls and quickly become one blob was also fun.
BUT we did not eat lead paint chips! 😹
I forgot about playing with the mercury. Thanks for the reminder.
lol!!!!😂
Good morning, Feisty,
My favorite you’ve posted this far. Daughter was born in Seattle and we had a saying
“If you didn’t play in the rain… you didn’t play”

It is time for our now customary Treehouse Church, Sunday benediction. This can be a good time for solace and reflection. . . I hope we all have a very blessed Sunday and an equally blessed following week. And always, always know that our Dear Lord Jesus loves us and will protect us and share his love with us if we simply accept him as our Savior. The path to His loving embrace is simple faith. That is all it takes.
Good morning and thank you, my man Garrison 💕
Good morning Patience! ❤️
Good morning, Pa❣️
Blessed morning, Garrison, Grandpa M, Patience and Ma ❤️ 💙 💜 💖
💌God’s continued blessings on you and Savannah, Woo!
😜
Now, HOW did you find my picture indulging in ice cream trying to hide from the overhead drones by my little beach umbrella? You are a sneaky one, Patience! Num, num, that’s Bluebell Homemade Vanilla right there! The “Great Divide” by Bluebell is the bomb diggity! Nummy nummy! Can one have ice cream for breakfast? Kiddo is not hungry for breakfast and tis almost lunch time! Ice cream for BRUNCH.
😎😹
And a blessed morning/afternoon to you, also, dear ‘Woo. 🙂
Afternoon Patience. 🙂 Hope you are having a great day . . .
Thank you, my man.
“Lullabye” – Garrison!!!! The ONLY REASON I am holding onto my tickets for Billy Joel and Sting in September. I sang this song to Savannah every night as she was a toddler and an infant. It’s Joel’s song. I know it will likely be the last time to see those two artists, who will be together for one night only in St. Louis. We reserved a luxury suite right across the street from Busch Stadium for the weekend, because I also want to attend mass at a cathedral there in St. Louis. Just a GET AWAY from it all. Praying our country’s peace holds so we don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime experience.
This song… my whole heart. My precious, precious girl. How Joel with his spiritual songs can remain an atheist is totally beyond my comprehension. I am always praying for his soul. He has so much depth, it can’t come from anywhere else, but God Himself. There’s still time – he’s still here with us.
Sting “You Still Know Nothing ‘Bout Me” – take that establishment demons!!! one, two punch!
Sting “Fields of Gold” – Can’t wait until we all walk in fields of gold, dear friends. Heaven ahead! Heaven awaits!
Last night I realized I hadn’t put “Lullabye” up in quite awhile. Listening to it, I imagined that his children, for whom he undoubtedly composed this music, are now probably grownups now. But, as I presume with now 18 year old Savannah, I’m pretty sure they’ll remember how special this song is to them. Heartfelt . . . 🙂
Savannah heard it playing earlier today, Garrison and she immediately came over and sat with me to watch your video. Her childhood went by way too fast.
Good Morning Garrison love the Parting Glass. Be well Peace be with you
Thanks for your kind words, Light. When I first found that fine rendition of “The Parting Glass” I realized it was something special. Face Vocal is a remarkable group in this performance. It was about this time that Bet and I simultaneously realized that, in fact, we had a Treehouse Church! Then, the idea of “The Parting Glass” making a perfect benediction for our very special little church just seemed to fall into place. 🙂
Howdy Garrison!
Howdy, Gramps. 🙂
Enjoyed this today. Of course, I’ve always been a Big Fan of Martin Short.
Martin Short’s Jiminy Glick Roasts Bill Maher to His Face
For any fans of Martin Short’s long-running character Jiminy Glick, you’re in luck: the problematic interviewer has come out of retirement to talk to Bill Maher.
Thankfully, Glick’s social skills have not improved over time. He spent most of the conversation asking Maher about other celebrities, interrupting Maher’s answers, or talking about himself. Between all that, Glick still managed to throw in some fun digs at Maher’s expense.
“I love this book,” Glick said, holding a copy of Maher’s recently published What This Comedian Said Will Shock You. He then quickly admitted, “I haven’t read it. No, I’ve read it cover and cover, but nothing inside. But word gets back that it’s delightful.”

Israel Update:
I didn’t update on the war from Israel for a while. I know that there are conflicting sources. I was waiting for “on the ground reports” without all the politics and agendas. I now find three. Real leaders of the battles on the ground. They all say about the same so I have a valid concept now.
The IDF is doing very well in Rafah with the exception of some casualties. Rafah is about 50-60% under IDF control. The Philadelphi Corridor that separates Gaza from Egypt is under full IDF control. The estimation is about 4-6 weeks to defeat all the Hamas Battalions in Rafah.
If you didn’t follow, Rafah is the most south city in Gaza and one of the last areas that still had 4 Hamas Battalions. At the moment about 2 are defeated.
Shortly the IDF will have full control on Gaza and the next phase of the war will begin. The phase of raids rather than conquest.
There are a few things that the IDF is doing under the radar and are not published broadly:
1. Demolition of houses along the Israeli borders to create a wide security separation zone between Gaza and Israel. The demolition was already done and some of it I posted with videos over the past 8 months.
2.Demolition of houses and structures along the Philadelphi Corridor in order to establish a wide separation along the Egyptian Gaza border. This will enable the IDF to have a long term control over the Coridor and to safely dig in and demolish the tunnels that cross to Egypt and were the oxygen line for Hamas. A lot of their Munitions and weapons were smuggled under the border and there are some tunnels that you could drive in them.
3. A massive IDF base with concrete walls and advanced defenses that splits Gaza between the North and the South. This way the base can be used for raids and to provide some control against Hamas motion back to the North.
All the above indicates a preparation for a long term Security control over Gaza. We are also looking for locals who can take over the civilian management of Gaza but the IDF will be around to prevent terror organizations from growing.
It is understood that zones that the IDF left are repopulated by some Hamas to a degree. And the IDF is prepared to coming back in again and again and this is what has been happening. And is happening effectively. But they lose their tunnels (still not done but in advanced stages), they lose their fighters (a high % are dead or wounded), they lose their munition manufacturing plants and munition smuggling tunnels, and while the IDF is having highest ever recruits to combat units, Infantry and Tanks, the Hamas will no longer be able to train new fighters in Gaza. The only thing that keeps them alive is the hostages and Biden’s pressures on Israel but Bibi is showing persistence and cunning moves to keep going against the pressures.
So basically the IDF is creating the conditions for a good hostage exchange deal and for long term control.
A bad deal would be a disaster but for now Bibi is holding his position.
I was lucky and one of the videos that I really wanted to translate but was too long, was translated by someone else.
It is a visit to Rafah and reporting. Don’t miss the video.
Like “3. A massive IDF base with concrete walls and advanced defenses that splits Gaza” the best, which proves that the IDF is in it for the Long Haul. I guess it is risky, but then leaving the Gazans to themselves to rebuild is probably more of a risk.
It is good to hear from you, David. I may be totally off base on this, but it seems that the IDF will have to really have good intelligence on Hamas to control the Gaza strip. Particularity if they are centralized in one base in central Gaza. Is that right?
God bless you, the IDF and Israel.
Jeff
They will be on Philadelphi Corridor, they will be on the base (It’s called Nezarim Base), and also around the borders and other places.
Yes, will need strong Intel because the terrorists operate in the civilian population. Now that Israel took so many Hamas prisoners I am sure that it opened the doors for a lot of Intel gathering and recruitment.
Hi, David. Thank you so much for your informative narratives. It is obvious that Jew Hatred and Israel Hatred is so institutionalized into Palestinian culture that it will be decades—if ever—before a stable and lasting peace can be achieved. Thank God for the protection and professionalism of the IDF!
Thank you.

I just GOTTA add these.
Bobby Blue Bland influenced some folks with that song.
I think that’s what Eric Clapton played when he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. I’d have to look it up.
And Danielle Nicole along with Samantha Fish burned it up live at BB’s……
That’s worth the listen!

Jonas Salk
(1914-1995)
American medical researcher and virologist who created the Polio vaccine, dies of heart failure at 80
Biography: Discovered and developed the first successful inactivated polio vaccine.
When the Salk vaccine was introduced, polio was considered the most frightening public health problem of the post-war United States.
He was uninterested in personal profit and when asked in a televised interview who owned the patent to the vaccine, Salk replied: “There is no patent. Could you patent the sun?”
I have always wondered where polio came from. I don’t remember hearing anything about it until neighbor girl came down with it. She survived but I later read about the ones who had to spend their lives in an iron lung. Or the ones who survived but much later other health issues popped up related to the earlier bout of polio. Was it from the air, from eating dirt (I know, I know, silly) . We lived in the Missouri Ozarks, flat out in the country so as far as I know, neighbor wasn’t around anyone who had been anywhere to pick up the germ.
Brave AI answer:
Where did polio come from?
Polio, also known as poliomyelitis, is an ancient disease that has been affecting humans for thousands of years. The exact origin of polio is unknown, but evidence suggests that it has been present in human populations since at least 1580 BCE.
Ancient Civilizations
The earliest recorded mention of polio-like symptoms dates back to ancient Egypt, where a stele (a stone monument) from the 18th dynasty (1570-1342 BCE) depicts a priest with a withered leg and foot, suggesting that polio-like paralysis was present in ancient Egypt.
Similarly, in ancient Greece, the physician Hippocrates (460-370 BCE) described a disease that sounds like polio, and the Greek physician Galen (129-216 CE) wrote about a disease that caused paralysis and muscle weakness.
Middle Ages to the 19th Century
During the Middle Ages, polio was not well understood, and it was often attributed to supernatural causes. The disease was known as “infantile paralysis” or “childbed fever,” and it was believed to be caused by bad air, poor hygiene, or witchcraft.
It wasn’t until the 19th century that polio began to be recognized as a distinct medical condition. In 1840, the German physician Jacob von Heine conducted the first systematic investigation of polio, and in 1894, the first significant outbreak of infantile paralysis was documented in the United States.
The Development of Vaccines
The development of vaccines against polio began in the early 20th century. In 1907, the Swedish pediatrician Ivar Wickman categorized the different clinical types of polio, and in 1916, the Austrian physicians Karl Landsteiner and Erwin Popper hypothesized that polio may be caused by a virus.
The first inactivated poliovirus vaccine (IPV) was developed by Jonas Salk in the 1950s, and it was licensed in 1955. The oral poliovirus vaccine (OPV) was developed by Albert Sabin in the 1960s and was licensed in 1961.
Global Eradication Efforts
Today, global efforts are underway to eradicate polio, with the World Health Organization (WHO) and Rotary International leading the charge. The Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI) was launched in 1988, and since then, the number of polio cases has decreased by 99%. However, the disease still persists in a few countries, primarily in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
In summary, while the exact origin of polio is unknown, it is believed to have been present in human populations for thousands of years, with evidence of polio-like symptoms dating back to ancient Egypt and Greece. The development of vaccines in the 20th century has led to significant progress in controlling the disease, and global eradication efforts continue to this day.

We often use the word “hope” in everyday conversations:
I hope it rains; I hope you’re okay; etc.
Believers in Christ have a “hope” that cannot be explained.
Not a casual hope.
The Holy Spirit fills them with this “living hope.” (Romans 15:13)
And it is offered to everyone who calls on the name of the Lord.
This hope helps us trust in what God gives.
It may not be what we want, but it’s always best …
At times it’s hard to learn this lesson – and accept His plan.
Our Helper, the Spirit of Jesus, comforts us when we don’t understand His loving way.
When Hope appears – the darkness will flee…
Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.
Psalm 42:11
Good morning Miss Della! 💝
Thank you for this post! There is no higher Hope than belonging to Him! 🙏✝🙏
Morning, Stevie! Yes, we’re safe and secure in His arms!
That’s a great observation of Lewis’ – so true.
I often think of my personal awakening:
The Lord faithfully pursued me – till I said “Yes” to Him.
Years of running and hiding from God – yet He didn’t give up!
The Bible says when a person continually hardens his heart towards God, He will give them over to a depraved mind.
No more opportunities to get right with Him – and tragic.
So, I’m astonished at His love for me – and all of us.
My only words are: Thank you, Lord.
Amen! 🙏
Good mornin, Miss Della💕

Interesting article…do you believe in Angels 🙂
Do Angels Still Walk among Us in a Modern, Messed Up World?
https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2024/06/do_angels_still_walk_among_us_in_a_modern_messed_up_world.html
Listening to a pastor telling stories of angels as protectors and “ministering spirits” made me realize how many of my own amazing experiences I should document for the inspiration of others.
The pastor had recounted a now infamous story from famed evangelist Billy Graham in his book Angels. The story goes that John Paton and his wife Margaret were missionaries in the violent, cannibalistic culture of the south Pacific islands during the mid-nineteenth century. One night, warriors of the local tribes surrounded their little hut, intent on killing them. Paton and his wife fell to their knees and prayed for God’s protection throughout the night. By morning’s light, they could see the warriors retreating into the hills.
About a year later, after the local tribal chief had become a Chrisitan, Paton asked him if he remembered that night and why his men did not attack Paton and his wife. The chief said he certainly did remember, explaining that they did not attack because there were hundreds of guards surrounding the hut — men with shining clothes and drawn swords!

ACQUAINTANCE WITH GRIEF
“A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.” Isaiah liii. 3
We are not acquainted with grief in the way in which Our Lord was acquainted with it; we endure it, we get through it, but we do not become intimate with it. At the beginning of life we do not reconcile ourselves to the fact of sin. We take a rational view of life and say that a man by controlling his instincts, and by educating himself, can produce a life which will slowly evolve into the life of God. But as we go on, we find the presence of something which we have not taken into consideration, viz., sin, and it upsets all our calculations. Sin has made the basis of things wild and not rational. We have to recognize that sin is a fact, not a defect; sin is red-handed mutiny against God. Either God or sin must die in my life. The New Testament brings us right down to this one issue. If sin rules in me, God’s life in me will be killed; if God rules in me, sin in me will be killed. There is no possible ultimate but that. The climax of sin is that it crucified Jesus Christ, and what was true in the history of God on earth will be true in your history and in mine. In our mental outlook we have to reconcile ourselves to the fact of sin as the only explanation as to why Jesus Christ came, and as the explanation of the grief and sorrow in life.

Only one USHCN station set a record maximum temperature so far during June. Malone, NY set a record 92F, which is meaningless because the station only started operations in 1983
Mornin’ all!
A research team got outstanding measurements on the Greenfield, IA tornado. Recorded 300+ mph winds. Highest ever recorded in a tornado. NOAA has graded it as an EF-4 and is unlikely to change that rating because the Enhanced Fujita scale is based on the character of the damage a tornado does. Though the Greenfield Tornado was powerful, there are others that have been far more powerful even but their wind speeds could not be accurately measured.
Good morning Patience!!! 🙋♀️💝 Blessings for your day!

Verse of the Day for Sunday, June 23, 2024
✟
“Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”
Psalms 55:22 (KJV)
Thank You, Jesus, for blessings received and prayers answered !!!
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER
SHOW US HOW
Getting close to God a prolonged process
The first thing we must do is get access
His love letter to us many books long
Holds knowledge that shows how to belong
Instructions are there for daily study
No need for an interpreter or a buddy
Just let the Spirit of God be your guide
He is the counsel that resides inside
Everything you need to know about life
Is detailed and methodical and rife
With history and stories and promises
Situations and sound assurances
What does God expect and want us to do
His commandments will give us a clue
When we have covered and agreed to all
There is one more Jesus gave to recall
The Bible talks about sin and its peril
How we must repent of what is feral
The consequence of sin is surely death
Separation from God for eternity breath
God loves us so much He left us the key
The instructions and protections to be
Holy as He is holy for it we must strive
Each hour of each day we are alive
Show us how, Lord, to be better than best
To be what you need long before we rest
To serve You in any way that You ask
Willingly and ably up to the task

How Great Thou Art

Hi Duchess, hope I’m not intruding, and if you’d rather not discuss it, I fully understand (just post a smiley face) 🙂 However if I may, I see many of your poems originate from what we’ll call your “2013 creative year.” – (not like the others weren’t/aren’t though) But being somewhat of a “creative” myself, (and that’s being creative) (fiddle around on Gimp/Photoshop), like most “artists” seem to have waves followed by long featureless troughs. Sometimes I think it’s those troughs that provide the “food” for the wave. What I find remarkable though is that so much of what you wrote in 2013 resonates precisely with what I believe many of us are or have been going through these past few years. I firmly believe that your words have helped many – more than you can know. Keep em coming.
So OK here’s one, my crazy noodle came up with a few years back, based on a combination of Sundances “hooded guy in front of screens” pic and the song “What it is” by Mark Knopfler.
You kinda have to use the imagination somewhat – I think. Anyway, just to say thanks, I’ve personally gained much from your words.
🥰🥰🥰

…….. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ……..
Taylor Swift sold out Wembley Stadium eight times on her Eras Tour for both fans and celebrities alike.
That means that the music industry has gone down the crapper.
Eight times!!
The way I interpret this is that the music industry went down the crapper once and has stayed there as evidenced by Miss Swift’s curious popularity.

How rich are our names?
Thought I would share this with those who are interested. I was (am) working on a Bible study this morning (more about that as I complete it), but I was researching a key word and found the scripture 1 Samuel 25:26 (Abigail is talking to David:)
26 Now since the Lord has kept you, my master, from bloodshed and from avenging yourself with your own hands, as surely as the Lord lives and as you live, may your enemies and all who intend to harm my master be like Nabal.
What or who is Nabal?
Footnotes: wicked man. He is just like his name. In ancient times a person’s name was believed to reflect his nature and character.
Backing up to v 25:25 May my lord pay no attention to that wicked man Nabal. He is just like his name – his name is Fool and folly goes with him.
I knew my name had a Hebrew translation: Joan = God Is Gracious, God Is Merciful, but I wondered about Savannah. I did not name my daughter! So what does her name mean? Here is my note to her this morning and an article that dissects the origin of the name Savannah. She is my most blessed gift and she is the fulfillment of God’s Promise to me through Hebrew 11:11 (Genesis 12:1-3) which has traveled with me for over two decades.
Savannah,
I was working on a Bible study this morning and came across the spiritual meaning of our names.
Joan = God is Gracious, God is Merciful
Your name, however, has a much deeper meaning. You know… that I did not give you your name. Your name was appointed to you and given to me in a dream. The next day, I was cut off by a Savana van and it was affirmed there and then that you would be called Savannah. Since you were a little baby in my womb, you have had your name, given to you by God Himself. A really neat article about your name and its origins.

Love you,
Mom
Names are really significant. It is important to call each by his or her name and respect that name as their identity here on earth. I hope you’ll enjoy the article I listed – and maybe do a search to find out what your own names mean. You don’t have to share them in favor of anonymity in an open forum, but we should all tuck away the deep meanings with which we were gifted our names.
Blessings on you and yours.
More on the Bible study this morning later. I’m only about 2/3 of the way through.
Wow. Just wow.
Blessed girl!
Sooooooo cool!! The reaction is priceless!! xo I think she has rediscovered her husband 🙂
Wow. Just . . . Wow nwtex . . .
The best, huh! Glad you enjoyed it too 🙂

Just trying to figure out why my emoji program no longer works here….the above was supposed to be a dove.
No luck. blah!
I do have a very limited list of a few but not the kind one can copy and paste. Ya have to type the word and put colons before and after.
Such as shock between colons = 😯

😛
are you using windows?
Windows 10 and 11 contain a large set of emojis. To insert one:
LOL, I tried 😶 to press windows, the + sign and the period, and my cursor blew up to 1200%
Yea, that is the zoom function win + or – zoom or unzoom …. win & escape to close
On Linux it is alt mouse scroll, use zoom all the time on both Win & Linux.
Have to study if there is an emoji function on Linux … never knew Windoz had emoji picker or would have used it in Win from time to time.
On a side note … this current windoze forced update told me it was the last one … as my PC does not qualify spec wise for win 11 and updates will cease in Oct 25???
Guess it becomes full Linux then as it dual boots now, guess I have to find alternate programs that run on Linux that currently only run on Windoz … some have already been found and are on this Linux machine that I use most of the time.
Hum, looks like 23 emoji programs to pick thru, none currently installed by default by Linux Cinnamon. I got some testing to do in a free time then.
Thought this might be nice to know.
Tyson goes all in on replacing July 4th with “Juneteenth.” Not bad enough that they lay off American citizens while hiring 40,000 illegal aliens. Oh, no. They want to replace July 4 as our nation’s birthday. They just have to make it clear: they are ANTI-American.
So my first reaction is that I will never again buy any product with the Tyson name on it. But their position is so over-the-top WTF, that I suspect there is another dimension to it. It sure sounds like another attempt to deliberately divide us up and pit us against each other.
https://chroniclesmagazine.org/web/tyson-foods-shameful-juneteenth-replacement-celebration/
I stopped buying Tyson awhile back. You won’t find any in my house.
Me, too, rah. Years ago.
Same for a “local” brand in GA – Perdue.
The news exposed them for terrible conditions in processing plant. Ugh…
I’d rather eat beans …
I guess they feel a need to placate their workforce of Somali immigrants with dark complexions
Wrong group. Black Americans (Juneteenthers) often don’t get along well with immigrants from Africa or the Carribean. Black Americans say the immigrants weren’t here for the struggle. The immigrants say “I got 2 jobs. You can’t find ONE?”
It’s a bit long, and technical, but am reminded of when the press laughed at President Trump when he mentioned, in the early days of the C-19 appearance, about the use of ultraviolet light.
This substack article, by A Midwestern Doctor, dives into the use of light as therapy, including the use of ultraviolet light and he references research and treatments developed in the old Soviet Union.
https://www.midwesterndoctor.com/p/the-century-of-evidence-putting-light
Last week I was in the PHX airport and has to smile as I thought of PDJT when I saw the escalator signs highlighting the use of ultraviolet light to continually sanitize the hand railing as it was in motion.
I did wonder how many libs seeing the U/V handrail sanitization signs and the quiet sanitization action in motion make any connection to the comments President Trump was scoffed at?
When back home at my local airport I used the escalator down to baggage claim. I was sad the same system is not here,,, yet!
The handrail lighting system is a great idea!
Yes, PDJT was way ahead of the MSM with his U/V comments, as always!
