But, for me, I believe it is supposed to stimulate that response. And the need for me to dig deeper. I have never studied the original languages and translations. And I have not been exposed to these teachings. I have been through many bible studies. Almost all included some words translated in some manner, but not with this much focus. These lessons are opening a whole new journey for me.

The performances you are posting have me hankering for live performances at our local Clowes Hall. Our time is going to be managed down to the micro-second I am afraid.
Conditioning myself for the times ahead. Taking a long nap from about 5 PM to 8 PM, then staying awake. Woke naturally at 3:30 AM the other morning – so I am learning to balance. Seem to do okay with segmented sleep and have a more balanced level of energy. Will be interesting to see how this translates long term.
Removing the tentacles from Savannah one by one. She starts her summer school program on Monday. Turns out to be a bit more complicated in our case, as her child custody case is governed by the State of Washington. So, I’m reconciling between State of Indiana CORE 40 requirements, Washington’s and Indiana’s homeschooling laws, and trying to avoid conflict with her dad, though I have 100% decision making authority over her education, faith, and healthcare according to parenting plan. Sure helps to have all those things finalized well in advance for such time as this when heavy matters loom. Removing the IN-DOE from the equation is making us both feel – more free.
Now, I would like to work on Obamacare alternatives and get big government the heck out of our lives. We already have a direct pay functional medicine doctor and that’s been wonderful and much less expensive than the O-Care premiums, but that functional health is not catastrophic coverage… so we must tread carefully balancing each of those. We have both still, but I sure hope our country can break free of the single payer system they quietly implemented under the guise of Obamacare. Obamanation = Abomination
Made carnitas and, finally, a fairly decent Spanish rice today (Jasmine rice, pork broth 3:1 ratio with water, butter, mixed veggies, and Caldo de Tomate bouillon flavoring, and rotel tomatoes and peppers). Dinners are now at about 3 PM before kid goes to work at 4 PM. Used the small pressure cooker again for the pork roast for the carnitas – soooo nice. An hour and you fill it, bring it to boil, set to low once the pressure indicator pops up and it babysits itself. Makes the best broth ever. Fork tender meat. With carnitas, we cook and then fry to crispy exterior in a little bit of oil. Makes those cracklings and I just put a bit of meat in with a bit of rice, sour cream, and cheese in a burrito for the kid. Portable and not messy. Then freeze all the leftovers for another 2 or 3 meals. Freeze the rice flat in a freezer bag – easy peasy.
Getting creative and more industrious – I only have one load of unfolded laundry, so thusly staying ahead of everything for now. (I’m starting to yawn now though… heading to bed around 3 AM and will get up about 7 AM.)

Your carnitas sounds delicious. I wish I’d learned how to cook along side of car-fixin’ stuff. I’m pretty good at the latter but can’t get far beyond PB&J sandwichs , alas.
A question, dear ‘Woo. I think taking on-line classes is a far better choice for Savannah than spending any more time with that toxic HS. Sometimes school bureaucracies institutionalize dysfunctional practices . . . and then defend them to the death. The best thing parents and kids can do is simply find another, better, school.
I almost got trapped in a school like what you’ve described. I shopped around and found another HS that allowed me to take speech class, 2nd year typing and some study halls and then graduate. The other school tried to convince and even threaten me into repeating my senior year with them. Didn’t work.
At age 18 it’s getting time for Savannah to be a grown-up so this school sounds like the right path. This is going to be a new experience for her, so it’s probably a good idea for you two to remain partners for awhile until she develops those “adaptive strategies” I’ve talked about before.
At age 18 she’s pretty much “growed up” so I’m curious when the two states will start seeing her for the adult she’s rapidly becoming? Be well, love. Blessings to you both.

I am following a couple on Facebook, both friends of my youngest when she was at university, who have been beset by the trials of Job. Two of their young daughters have an autoimmune disorders, one much worse than the other, and the mom discovered she had a brain tumour while they were dealing with those. The whole family are surrounded by the love and support of friends and community.
But most important, Christ is the centre of all their lives, and this shines through like the bright sun in the sky in every single update of the journey they are all taking, the most recent the mom’s latest surgery to remove as much of the tumour as they can.
There is a reason I am telling you this, dear sis…
The last chapter written by her husband giving updates included something she said post op which moved me very much. And I am hoping what she said will keep you company during the difficult and stressful times you are enduring now…
“The walk with the Lord is so sweet when things are hard because you can feel Him sustaining you in a different way.”
Her husband added that God is always near. Peaks and valleys. He is a constant friend, albeit a Kingly one.
They always sign off with this…We trust. He will provide.
Of course you know this. But her simple words…and his…deeply faith inspired…were very powerful for me. And so I thought I’d share them with you in hopes that as you are stuck in the middle of difficult maze trying to find your way out, they might shine a little torch in front of each step you take…love ya, girl 🙏🏻 🌷 😘

When I came home from lunch today, for instance, she demanded my lap and—for the very first time ever—she sat and allowed me to circle her in my arms.
Where before she’d immediately jump down, this time she relaxed and rewarded me with a soft purr. It was a very touching moment for this old guy who lives alone with just his cat for company . . .
What a precious little lady she is, dear friend. And how she has come around since she first showed up long ago!! You were vetted and approved, and now she is rewarding you with all the love and affection she has in her. I’ve always had a 6th sense kind of communication with animals, dogs and cats especially. They just sort of “know” and things just seem to develop from there. I’ve always loved dogs and, when I got married, cats too.

Your friends are in my heart and prayers. It is something very special to suffer as a Christian whose heart is open to the heeding of God. Though the proverbial storms swirl all around us from the outside, we are lighter and at peace. I simply can’t describe it.
I had a moment of “fearfulness” with the new job, my mind jumping to the worst in the event doggie doo hits the fan and fear of being trapped inside a most lootable location – did a weighted pros and cons list – came out neck and neck. However, seeking the wisdom of my most generous mentor, our Eva Roarke here… who has known us since Savannah was 2 year old toddler… she reminded me that this 2nd job is a gift from The Lord. An answer to prayer.
Think of it – if something funny is going on with our food supply – I might have an inside track on that… for I am one of the Watchmen on the Tower. It is a good company and they’re doing thorough background checks. Sadly, we know that backgrounds are often scrubbed and manipulated, so I pray Spiritual Discernment is their main method.
Savannah is lighter. More confident. We are working out together more and she’s working out strength sets of her own in her room which we reorganized to give greater floor space. I saw a recent writing of hers from beginning of June – she’s training herself and her mind for military. But know this about her… she often has Divine dreams of being in God’s Army – complete with armour, horse, the whole thing. It is surreal to hear her speak of it and in her dreams she spoke of the Throne Room of God long before she read about it in Scripture. God speaks to us through our dreams.
Just as she spoke of being a Christian Missionary 8 or 9 years ago to Lebanon (Beirut) and fast-forward she is in the den of demons in Lebanon, Indiana (of which we had NO CLUE of the city nor ever an inkling to ultimately live here or be part of its citizenry)… she is following the prompting of the Holy Spirit within her.
GOD IS REAL and He Has Promised me to set us in the cleft of the rock and protect us with His Righteous Right Hand. He Has also Called me to write a record of what I witness. I am compelled and because I love Him, I do what I am compelled to do. It is why the school authorities wanted me to sign a two page NDA – they want to shut me up. Never going to happen. I will never lose my God-Given freedoms. I don’t care what it costs me, for when you have nothing left to lose, then the fear of loss is pretty much gone!
Please keep sharing about your friends. I, and I know others here, are invested in praying for them and uplifting them, as we too are so blessed by the benefit thereof.

The certified letter removing Savannah from public school goes in the mail today. I notified child support division in State of Washington yesterday. We risk losing support, but for the taste of freedom and release from bondage, it is a risk I am willing to take. Her father is abhorrent and continues to be further entangled to the point of suffocation by demons. We are girding ourselves for attack, but we see Light from the severing of bondage.

You know, Garrison, I am constantly amazed in my daily trawling here and there where I find things which catch my eye and I save because they leave a mark on me…memes, posts, comments from others…how quickly the opportunity comes where I find that my finds find a perfect home for others…
Today is a good example. No coincidence.
I had not checked in a while on that beautiful, loving family. Yesterday I had a moment and did so, knowing the mom was having surgery with so much hope that this brain tumour could be excised without impairing her sight, facial muscles. Still too early too know…but I have been so caught up in their trials. Every picture they post is a happy picture. They admit to feeling depressed at times and downright scared.
But they have never let go of their positivity or their love for Christ. Reading each post, the ups and downs, one thing has become very real to me.
That is the presence of Jesus Christ…through His presence with them. He is everywhere!! But never more so than when He is needed most. And it shines through these loving people.
Yes sustaining…. because He never leaves them. Their gratitude through every moment is truly wonderful and awesome. I know you know…🙏🏻💕
I am experiencing something of a medical catastrophe, although minor in comparisin to many.
I have only Medicare part A, which is hospitalisation, the only part that costs nothing, and that you can’t opt out of.
And, our combined SS $ puts us just over the threshhold for medicaid.
The main Regional hospital in our rural area has a standard formulae for the uninsured.
If they charge Insurance/Medicare $1000 for say, a CT scan they charge “cash payers” 35% of that, so $350.
But then they look at household income and we pay 15% of that $350, so do the math.
The clinic we go to, chgs $35/ visit, but $27 if you pay at the time of the visit, and labs are flat rate of $30.
Rx for expensive meds, can often be gotten from the drug companies “for free” for “those who qualify” which means those with no Ins. and incomes less than $80,000/ year, IIRC.
And this is exactly the same medical care, same facillities and personelle, that we would be getting with a platinum health plan.
Have recently had a medical issue they couldn’t deal with, and so have gone into the city for big city medical treatment, admitted to the hospital so Medicare part A kicks in.
Had surgery to have a tracheotomy tube put in my throat, and a biopsy taken of the growth in my throat.
Tube was because swelling from the biopsy may well close off my breathing.
The surgery team required payment “up front” but the Hospital will wait until they get their $ from Medicare, and then looked to me for the rest.
IF I owned a home with a second, and was “middle class” as usual, I would be f*cked.
Its the guy/gal that were told “work hard, obey the rules, aspire to give your kids a better life than you had,…” that are getting screwed.

Paying cash, and going through my direct pay functional medicine practitioner, saw a 24 hour heart monitor, reading, and diagnosis… only $90 cash.
Take notes my dear friend as you travel through these travails. Your experience is going to save someone some day. Including you… you are strong and determined and you set your mind on The Lord and the chance He Has Given you to reach others in His Name.

The lovely family I mentioned up top? Well you can only imagine the bills they are facing. There have been fundraisers for them which have helped. All are counted as blessings. One of those peaks they mentioned…may there be many for you, dear sir, more than you might be able to see at the moment through the clouds which I know have gathered. But clouds which will dissipate as you move from day to day so that there will be so many peaks which He will provide you won’t be able to count them all!

Hospitals and pharmacies are getting screwed by the insurance companies. It’s been my experience in paying what you can, the hospital cannot sue. That’s where I live.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Yes, know Medishare well and I like the premise. Couple of things with them:
1) two year preexisting conditions clause. So say I have a heart attack that COULD by attributed to my hypothyroidism.. it’s not covered first 2 years.
2) by law according to parenting plan, we both must provide health insurance coverage and the powers that be don’t recognize Medishare as real insurance
3) If I can get the tentacles off my daughter, Medishare is in my wheelhouse to pursue.

I talk to a lot people, and I always sense that they are depressed and without hope.
I understand that the Lord allowed me to be here this time for a reason, and I ask Him to direct my path for His honor and glory.

Yesterday Israel shot down 11 drones. It’s definitely a new kind of war. The future is all robotic.
The enemy released videos of the IDF using unmanned vehicles moving along the Philadelphi Corridor in Gaza (The area between Gaza and Egypt). We don’t like it but it’s the trend and it’s happening as we speak.
For urban war it saves human lives in our case. Every building they enter the scan for explosives using drones and dogs. Many are booby trapped. Shalom
Saves human lives but takes away human freedoms from surveillance. What our Benjamin Franklin used to say: “Those who trade freedom for a little bit of safety, deserve neither.”

David: Thanks for the updates. My view of the “new kind of war,” is that it’s the same kind of war as man has been fighting since the beginning of human history. Combatants use every possible advantage to surprise, mislead and overcome the enemy, but, in the final analysis, destroying the enemy with overwhelming firepower and taking and holdling wins wars. Israel cannot over-rely on technology to defend itself. The IDF needs larger ground forces–more infantry. Also, more mass-fire artillery. He said that if they need to go to Lebanon the enemy will learn what is their full power. He said that the war is still going to be long and we need patience and we have it and the enemy should also know that we have patience. He said that a bit over a week ago he knew about the upcoming rescue operation and only a few senior officers knew and they had to get close to the location of the hostages but not too close. Just in case that the operation gets complicated and the force needs rescue. And the operation did get complicated as the officer Arnon got shot and the rescue vehicle had a damage in the gear and stopped working.
They moved forward with the Paratroopers and rescued the team and hostages and moved them to another vehicle. Shalom.

As I get older, I see the passing of family and friends and witness the rebellion of even my own body, but in him I find my strength renewed daily. In my mind, my thoughts soar as high as they ever have.
So speaking personally, if I can testify, “what would I do without him?” Perish the thought of a life without Christ! lol I have a good imagination but it doesn’t stretch so far. I no more want to imagine me without Him than he has already demonstrated he wants to be without me, and every single child of his who’s placed his trust in the one who, while they were without power, he sacrificed everything on their behalf.

Of course, there was negligible infrastructure to move and rebuild, man was a hunter-gatherer and hadn’t even devised agriculture yet
But the proposed curtailing of energy and civilization the climate fanatics advocate simply must be balanced against the civilization-crippling costs
The bottom line is they claim that if you give them more money they can change the weather. They’re no different than the snake oil salesmen of the past except they control the money that flows to academics and institutions which create fake science to back them in order to stay on the gravy train.
The earth is constantly changing. For example Pisa, Italy had the wealth to build the Cathedral, the tower, and several other iconic structures because it was a major port. Now it is well inland only connected to the Med by a river that can only be navigated by smaller vessels. Why would that be the case if the sea levels have been generally rising since the end of the last glaciation? The answer is sediment flowing down the Arno river from the Apennines mountain range has been filling in the estuary of the river and making new land thus gradually moving the estuary to the west.
Human kind has always had to adapt to the changes. And the number of coal fired plants in China, or India, or anywhere else has nothing to do with it. Sure they have a pollution problem, but CO2 is NOT a pollutant, and the tiny fragment of CO2 man is adding to the atmosphere is actually beneficial to all living things.
The greatest explosions of both marine and terrestrial life on earth and increases in biodiversity have ALL occurred when CO2 levels were much higher than they are now.
This is not to say that mankind has no effect. But the effects are local. For example, they were street fishing in streets of Miami in the 1920s during king tides. Since then mankind has made the situation worse by heavy development on shifting sandy coastal soil while at the same time pumping the ground water out from under that development. CO2 has NOTHING to do with that.
Meanwhile in Tampa over the decades corrupt politicians have allowed development in the natural flood areas where storm surge will penetrate the furthest inland and be the most severe in the event of a hurricane strike. That area of the Florida coast up through the big bend is the area in the state least likely to take a direct hit by a hurricane. But it will happen sooner or later, and when it does you KNOW that they will be blaming the severe damage and any loss of life on “climate change”.
The fact is that the global population has never been so well fed or had a generally better state of health at any time in the history of it’s existence. Though the average person wouldn’t know that by what is being taught and shown in the media.

It is the “adding” that is difficult. We say we do not expect God to carry us to heaven on flowery beds of ease, and yet we act as if we did! The tiniest detail in which I obey has all the omnipotent power of the grace of God behind it. If I do my duty, not for duty’s sake, but because I believe God is engineering my circumstances, then at the very point of my obedience the whole superb grace of God is mine through the Atonement.

With this ruling on bump stocks, the SCOTUS is trying to reign in all kinds of regulations the ATF has been instituting and trying to enforce which are clearly repugnant to the 2nd amendment and previous court rulings. Every department of the administrative state must be neutered across the board.

Only a few more apricots on the trees. This breaks my heart, but today we are burying the rotting ones lying on the ground. Make a big ol’ hole with an auger and in they go. They get mushy and ferment (maybe not such a bad thing, now that I think of it!) and get all over dog, people, and burro feet. Yuk!!!
Peaches are just around the corner! Not as many as apricots, but bumper crop nonetheless. And then….pears. Too old for this, but, we have shared with so many people, reconnected, shared embraces. and are thankful for the abundance. 🙏
Plus, my friend with the freeze dryer is drying some for me – better than candy!

I never feed an animal without the owner’s permission. That is unless it is appaent they are starving – then they get a bale of hay after dark!
Love to give these guys mini carrots, but I don’t care for some of the living conditions I have seen them in. Won’t call the owner. I’d have to get into it.
You would be shocked with how little oversight there is regarding “livestock.” We have called regarding horses in the past and been basically told to stuff it. Pretty heartbreaking.

My kitty, Oliver, would filch fish from the fishermans’ buckets and haul back home.
One morning, I got up to find a 18 inch flatfish at the back door! Little thief must have dragged that thing all the way home. I cooked it for him. Good kitty!
