I’m not all that familiar with Ia’s open admission policies. Here in Texas colleges and universities don’t consider grades when someone comes in under open admission.
The whole change was to allow people who’d, perhaps, dropped out of HS—sometimes years ago—but wanted to attempt higher education.
Open admission serves these populations who were formally denied admission because they lacked a diploma and/or grades.
I suggest you give a local college a call and talk to one of the admission counselors about how Ia handles open. I know it’s universal for public funded high ed but they will be able to tell you more information.
I mention this now because Savannah is 18 (going on 19?) and could just drop out and 1. start college under open admission. 2. study for her GED with
reasonable accommodations and then move to college or the training program under open admission. She’s old enough now she can just quit and seek another more conducive avenue. Your town undoubtedly has free Adult Education programs and she should be accepted without charge. She’d undoubtedly be a lot happier studying with adults, anyway . . . (Again not sure how this works in Ia.) Keep us posted, darlin’.

As it stands, there are three crimes that have been referenced by prosecutors: state and federal election violations and taxation violations.
Bragg’s legal vision for non-objective indictments was greatly advanced by Judge Juan Merchan, who will allow the jury to reach different rulings on what crime is actually evident in Bragg’s paint splatters.
Merchan has even ruled that the jurors can disagree on what actually occurred in terms of the second crime. This means there could be three groups of four jurors, with one believing that there was a conspiracy to conceal a state election violation, another believing there was a federal election violation (which Bragg cannot enforce), and a third believing there was a tax violation, respectively. Nonetheless, Merchan will treat that as a unanimous verdict.
In other words, they could look at the indictment and see vastly different shapes, but still send Trump to prison on their interpretations.

I think several people were part of that setup plant for maximum anti Trump benefit for news snips to show what happens at Trump rallies…..even though this is not a Trump rally. Teachers when we were kids were educated themselves before the communist takeover of our universities. Our universities include teacher colleges.
